• Johnathon (6/5): Motel One, Me Nil - I had a great time. The location was ideal for where I needed to be over the weekend and the staff all seemed to be lovely. I want to stress that none of this was a massive issue for me, but there were a couple of slight marks on the bottom left-hand corner of my bedding when I arrived on the Friday and a small red stain on the carpet near where the kettle etc were stored. The bedding was a little thin for my liking so I was quite cold when I was trying to sleep. None of this was a massive deal but I wanted to mention it given the price.

This is great if you want to stay right in the centre and has a lovey cafe and bars close by. The rooms were a little bit small but good for one to two nights stay.

• Juliette (6/5): Probably quite good value for money in terms of location but I probably wouldn’t have booked it if I’d known what the ro - Location was great and the bar area and lobby are very pleasant. They were also very accommodating when it came to leaving our bags. Room was very small and basic and didn’t look like the photos at all - bed linens etc were not as in photos and they looked like they had been enhanced to make rooms look much nicer than they were. Breakfast was nice enough but shame there was no option for even self serve hot food

• Lisa (9/5): Fantastic stay - Had a fantastic stay at Motel One Newcastle. I've stayed in Motel One hotels before and have never been disappointed. Clean, spacious room, very comfy bed. Superb location, very central and within easy walking distance of attractions and public transport. The rooms tend to be very warm and I found the AC to not do very much, but other than that, I have nothing to complain about.

Checking in was great, there is always a member of staff on hand for any help or questions you have. When coming back to the hotel, the staff were lovely and they made sure who was coming into the hotel where staying at the hotel. I really liked this because if I was returning with friends I'd definitely stay here knowing that extra safety is in place, especially being a woman. The late check out and free luggage storage is a real plus when wanting to go around the city. We didn't stay for breakfast but it looks beautiful and there was a wide selection. The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of car parking facilities around. Rooms were really clean, nicely set out, more than enough space, a lot of hangers for your clothes, black out curtains which covered the entire windows, great heating or aircon system, tv and tea and coffee facilities. Shower had good water pressure and was hot. No faults in the room at all. Bed were really comfortable, not to soft or to hard, 4 pillows of different softness to suit everyone's preference, quilt was good quality to. Lighting in the bathroom was great for when doing makeup, full-length mirror in the bedroom, good amount of natural light in the bedroom as well as the softer touches from the spot lights if you didn't want to big light on. Definitely will be staying here again, I'd love to enjoy the courtyard in the summer months to relax and have drinks. Again, the cleanliness of the entire hotel was great! There was nothing I didn't like about my stay.
