- richard (8/5): Great location, very well appointed, hotel that I would readily recommend to others . Nice work. - From the outside the hotel looks a little run down , but once inside it was really nicely appointed. Very nice lounges and bars with fabulous views. Very good dining room with good food choices. Staff were likeable and friendly and looked after the guests excellently On the second night the large doors to the dining room were left open and it became quite drafty with cool air
- martha (10/5): - The room was lovely clean, well equipped with a fantastic view.the receptionist was so helful, even booked another hotel for dinner for us as they were full up. No negatives

Dinner was good. She loved the pool. Precooked breakfast, no haggis, I.e no eggs balmoral. slow service as they lost our tickets two nights running at dinner

- Emily (9/5): We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and incredibly attentive. We even saw seals from the bed - The location was amazing. It was comfortable and clean Bar room chairs weren’t the most comfortable. Mattress very soft
- David (10/5): Excellent stay, made to feel very welcome by all the staff. - Staff, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
Excellent choice of meals with an interesting menu.
Comfy room with plent of sockets for charging phones etc. and a view out over to Kintyre
Perfect location for exploring Arran either by car or by bus.
The pool and the sauna were small but were not busy, with a booking system to make sure that there was never a feeling of it being too crowded.
There was a refreshing abscence of dogs in the dining room.
On another occasion we would like to make use of the snooker table, table tennis and possibly even the squash court. The weather could have been a bit better, but there was plenty to do in the hotel while waiting for it to change.
- Gloria (10/5): -
- Mick (9/5): - Great location, quiet, friendly staff, great food . Nothing
- Stefan (9/5): -
- Diane (9/5): Amazing - The staff were amazing warm friendly and informative. They helped to create a lovley atmosphere in the hotel. The view from our room was amazing. The pool facilities were great. Food was made in house fresh and to a good standard. Loved the decoratuon very modern but added to the comfortable atmosphere. All areas of the h9tel were very clean. Could do with airing corridors or adding reed diffusers.

- Philip (8/5): Very good and I will return when next on the Island - The location was ideal for my work and the facilities are very good, the staff are really friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was excellent as indeed was the evening meal, good selection on the menu, something for everyone, portions are heading towards big. Nothing

- Niamh (7/5): -
- Senga (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. - All food was exellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The biggest downside is the frequent cancellation of ferries at short notice. Would think twice about visiting again. The small print regarding the breakfast wasn't included in price. Probably our mistake. We had left without paying for breakfast, a genuine mistake.
- Anna (8/5): - The food
- Alastair (10/5): Excellent - Both very good The mattress
- james owen (9/5): - Sea view from our room was excellent . Dining facilities and meals excellent. Bedrooms could have done with air conditioning with the warm weather.

- Cheryl (9/5): I would go back to this hotel and would recommend to others - Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was very good too. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities and views were great. I really liked this hotel. I was in a single room and my colleague in a double and we both found our beds uncomfortable and so neither of us slept particularly well. We were on a ground floor and also could hear people in the adjoining rooms very clearly.
- chris (10/5): - Food was great
Swimming pool was quiet Soft pillows
Would prefer a firmer pillow but that's just a personal preference
- Colleen (10/5): Lovely breakaway. - Loved the view of the sea. Lovely walk around the neighbourhood.
- Anna (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Wonderful. We would stay there again if we go to the Isle of Arran. - We were absolutely delighted with Kinloch hotel. It was in a spectacular site overlooking the sea and the hotel was warm, friendly and comfortable. We can highly recommend the hotel.
- Roland (9/5): -
- Melanie (8/5): -
- Catharina (8/5): -
- dave (9/5): - Just a lovely place to go The food didn't live up to expectations, but was still nice
- Gordon (10/5): Would happily stay here again. - The hotel was clean and comfortable and we were well looked after by the staff. I liked the quiet location as we wanted a quiet holiday at this time.
- Rosine (7/5): -
- Thobekile (10/5): -
- Fennessey (8/5): Mat enjoyable - Plenty of choice.well served.attentive staff Parking space near hotel was intermittent. Open to non residents
- Alexandra (9/5): Loved it. Highly recommend. Will go again. - Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast. Kippers available !!😄 Difficult to access room on mobility scooter but they acquired a wheelchair for me. They were not aware I needed an accessible room. And solved the problem. Much appreciated
- Sophie (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): - Lovely hotel in a great location, really nice food.and staff.
The swimming pool was great.
- Sergio (8/5): A great place to stay, but look for other options for dinner! - I liked the location abd the overall decor of the room and lounges, in particular the large windows with views of the sea. Breakfast was good. Dinner,(food and wine), were 'ok' but nothing more!
- Helen (10/5): Outstanding location - Location. Super efficient and friendly staff Food portions FAR too big. Sad buy wasted
- Hamish (9/5): Very friendly hotel with comfortable room and excellent fare. - The location is superb, overlooking the beach and tiny harbour. The views across to the Mull of Kintyre are magical. The staff were exceptional and given difficulties over the ferries assisted with additional accommodation. The evening dining was very good with a very fair priced menu. Portion sizes were generous. All the serving staff were excellent. All in all , just outstanding. Nothing really. It was is a great hotel.
- helen (10/5): Staff and facilities were great. - Excellent breakfast. Location a bit far from amenities but otherwise good. All good.
- Gillan (10/5): Absolutely beautiful location, tasteful decor and ideal for visiting other attractions on Arran. - The location was wonderful. Worth it to ask for a sea view room. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel has pool, squash and table tennis for guests. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Dinner booking was a bit random. Various people had their own lists of diners, and somewhat confusing about dinner plans.
- John (10/5): 100% becreturning - Location was stunning Nothing
- English (9/5): -
- Graeme (9/5): Ideal for a short break. Highly recommended. - Very good eat on 4 single rooms for a golf outing. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very attentive.
- Rebecca (9/5): Lovely place with outstanding views - The location is excellent for relaxing, with amazing sea views on the rugged side of the island and in walking distance to the beach and forest and sites such as The Kings Caves and Machrie Moor stone circle. There is a convenient bus stop just outside the hotel. There are also local shops - a sandwich shop, grocery store, gift and general store, and a couple of food/ bakery vans, all of which I used.
The pool and sauna are clean and quiet and easy to book into (twice I did this on the spot, without needing to book a slot). This was a lovely bonus to the hotel.
The food in the restaurant was amazing - good choice, generous portions, all delicious. Also, there was a selection of local whiskeys - recommended!
The staff were welcoming - friendly and not intrusive. They were attentive in the restaurant and helpful on the reception desk. The room was cleaned every day and I was not disturbed in the morning for this (as can be the case in some hotels).
The bed was comfortable, the window could be opened and there was no noise, so sleeping was good. There was a thermostat in the room, which was helpful for turning down the heat on a hot day and turning up to dry swimming costumes. Plug sockets by bed and desk were useful. Towels were soft and replenished daily. Seaview from bedroom. Wifi signal was good and the door keycard worked. The bedroom felt sparse and not very welcoming. I often travel solo but usually a single room has a double or queen sized bed, not a single bed. The colour scheme was grey/pale blue and it just felt like there could be an injection of warm colours, a couple of cushions or a tartan throw, perhaps, so it feels less like a Uni student dorm. The kettle was welcome, but there was no herbal tea, quality coffee sachets (Nescafe doesn't taste like coffee) or hot chocolate, no bottle of water (or fridge) and the complimentary biscuit wasn't replenished. It would have been useful to have small, complimentary bottles or sachets in the bathroom to take to the swimming pool as there was no shampoo of conditioner in the swimming pool shower room (though this is a small thing). The TV didn't have capacity for the guest to log onto Netflix etc; it only had live channels. I think on this type of holiday where you are walking and sightseeing in the day, it's nice to come back to a comfortable hotel room. A small sofa or armchair in the room would have been good.
Overall, the hotel was excellent and I very much enjoyed my stay. I realise that had I booked a double, I may have had a different experience with the room. The only thing I struggled with was not having access to fresh coffee before the bar opened at 11.30. I didn't book breakfast as I tend not to eat it, but I really like a coffee to start the day. A cafetiere or coffee pod machine in the room would have been good. I went to the general store for bean-machine-fresh coffee but it was very milky, or I waited for the bar to open.
- Andrew (9/5): Great hotel with lovely staff in a beautiful location. - Great hotel with lovely staff in a beautiful location.
- Kelly (10/5): Worthwhile, quiet and clea great views and transport links - Great location for busses and beach Beautiful scenery too. They have a pool which was lovely after a long day. The evening meal wasn’t great and it was expensive. It was tikka, perhaps the steak pie would be better
They tried to charge us for 2 days breakfast when we only registered for one. Easily resolved.
- Lesley (10/5): Everything we had hoped for. Loved the hotel, its amenities and the location. - Excellent. Great selection to choose from, all fresh and well presented. Have no suggestion to make.
- Meadows (8/5): a very nice comfortable stay - the hotel was in a fabulous location couldn't think of anything bad to be honest
- E (6/5): Perfectly nice but over priced for what it was. - Nice location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Over priced for what it was. At over £200 a night I was hoping for a little more than the rather sub-premier inn room and decor. Mattress not great quality. But I guess the market chooses the price and it is an island thus you are a captive! Having a pool on site was nice however.
- Marco (8/5): ARRANgiandosi!
- Christopher (10/5): - From my initial welcome 🙏 to the food and the pool Single rooms have single beds.......not really what I expect nowadays
- Anne (8/5): Great place to stay in Arran but you need a car or adapt to the public bus service. - Breakfast was very good. The buffet was served by staff and so there was not lots of hands touching the food! Dinner was generously portioned and tasty. Need a shelf in the bathroom.
- Jimmy (9/5): -
- Ben (7/5): Lovely stay - Location was excellent. No A/C in rooms so was very hot (it was an abnormally hot day)
Felt a little bit passive aggressive (taking soap sign)
Had to book for dinner
- Peter (9/5): Friendly hotel in a great location. Not to be missed - Great location for walks/exploring. Very friendly and helpful staff
Comfortable and clean room with a great view of the sea.
Very stylish lounges and dining room. Good food
