- Daniela (10/5): - Very nice staff, car park present, perfect location in Newmarket, 12 minutes by car from Rossdales equine hospital. Extremely clean and very comfortable bed.
- Angela (8/5): Clean rooms, well located, just unnecessarily noisy due to lack of maintenance on doors. - The rooms were clean and the parking was very handy. Also it was easy to access the facilities and go out for a walk as it's in the town and walkable distance from the high street. My husband couldn't sleep due to the doors banging. The doors that separate rooms from the halls were set in a wrong way, so it doesn't matter how much people tried to close them properly (people don't even try regularly) it banged at the end. That meant a difficult night for him.

- Kash (5/5): Comfy, shame about the breakfast fail and 7am fire alarm. - Stayed for 3 nights in April. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was ideal. Parking wasn't a problem. Staff were friendly. Window had an internal view into the public hallway so anyone passing could see in which meant curtains had to be constantly drawn so no natural light, this also brought noise as people walked passed either talking or pulling luggage. Beyond the hallway was a spectacular view of a petrol station. In the morning I went for breakfast and was very much looking forward to it.. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but it never came. The people I was with all got breakfast and after a while I had to get up and ask where mine was. The server hadn't written my order down and claimed I hadn't ordered (I did), so I had to forfeit as I didn't have time to wait around for it and the other people in my group had already eaten and started to leave. It was however deducted from my bill when I explained what had happened when checking out. I was also woken abruptly by the fire alarm which went off at around 7am for a good 10 minutes. Not nice to be woken by a klaxon blasting straight to the eardrums!! There wasn't even a fire or drill. An apology at check out would have been nice but no.

Have stayed here a few times and this room was far and away the best. Limited restaurant hours in the evening 6:30-8:30 but good enough for what I needed. Staff friendly and service quick. Overall a good experience. Did have an issue with my room which took a request and 2 chase-ups to get attended. Overall the hotel feels like it needs modernisation. Lots of shades of brown everywhere. Dreary.

Car parking was so easy and the location in the centre of Newmarket was ideal for our stable visit. The restaurant was closed for dinner. Please just tell guests before they arrive. Once we worked out using the air con as the room heater, I was not sure how the superb bathroom could be made warm. Would not have been confident of warmth with freezing outdoor temperatures?

- Antoinette (10/5): Fantastic Hotel. Amazing price & location. - I loved being next to all the horses! Huge bathroom with a fabulous tub. My bed was very comfy & my morning walk was peaceful & beautiful. It's right on the edge of town. Great location. More horses LOL. Not their fault, it rained while we were there. The windows are a little dated, but kept the cold & rain out.

- Christine (7/5): Decent hotel in a very convenient location. - The location was very convenient for me - close to town and not too far to walk from the railway station. The room was fine and had all needed for an overnight stay and the bed was comfortable. I didn't like the air-con heating system. It was noisy and quite stuffy when it was on but without it the room was extremely cold. I had to fold the double duvet in half to keep me warm enough to sleep without the heating on. Maybe I didn't use the air-con unit properly and some instructions might have helped.

The breakfast was excellent with several options available The bedrooms was adequate and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning in the room made it feel cold at times until you found out how to adjust it.
