Guest Reviews
- Nick (4/5): - Location
- Chris (7/5): Comfortable stay - small comfortable room overlooking the church green
- Murtza (6/5): Ok - Close to work Very dated and over priced
Room was a boxed room very small no room to move
- Venkata Ramana (6/5): Not recommended - Centrally located Car parking can be difficult to find a spot
No lift facility
Room was quiet cold and got only one radiator which was not sufficient
- Emma (6/5): -
- Diane (8/5): Great stay great value for money - Great value stayed here many times excellent location too
- Stephanie (10/5): - Great location, very welcoming staff and lovely spacious room with lovely view of the park! Loved our stay. Little bit dated maybe but we thought it was great overall and it's an old building so what can you expect!
- Doug (8/5): -
- Parr (10/5): - The staff very friendly LLP

- majd (6/5): - Good location The room was quite small, and the bathroom was not very clean. It was also very noisy throughout my stay.
Unfortunately, the staff were not very helpful and could sometimes be rude.
Breakfast was another disappointment. I stayed in this hotel because I had a two days course that started at 8 am. So for breakfast You have to order and wait for it since it’s not a buffet, which takes time and I was not told this on check in. On my first day, I only had 15 minutes available and ended up missing breakfast. During the weekend, hot breakfast is only served after 8 a.m., which I was also not informed of this at check-in, so I missed it again on the second day.
When I raised this issue with the receptionist, I was told that “it’s only £10, you didn’t lose a lot,” which I found quite rude and dismissive, so I decided not to continue the discussion.
Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

- Richard (9/5): Great value for money - Great location
Good price
Good room A bit dated
Shower seal a bit tatty
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Alec (7/5): Great for the price. - Cheap, friendly staff & good location A bit dated in areas like the bathroom
- Gary P (8/5): Great Value - will stay again. - Fantastic value. Exactly the right location (for me), staff extremely friendly and helpful, room facilities had everything needed and an excellent breakfast included in the price.
What's not to like? A little more choice in parking options would have been useful.

- Oorvashi (9/5): Staff very friendly. Lovely restaurant adjacent to the hotel. - Room - layout good when working into the late hours and partner needs to sleep! The desk is positioned whereby the light from laptop etc does not disturb their sleep. I always ask for Room 7. Staff always try to accommodate request for this room - thanks Additional electrical sockets near desk area, could do with proper working desk and chair, -it's too high as it's more a dressing table. heating, I do find the rooms cold. These are my ideals - hasn't put me off booing this hotel on many occasions when working in the area.
- Waltraud (10/5): - Das Personal war überaus zuvorkommend freundlich und hilfsbereit.
- Hannah (7/5): Clean and comfortable -
- Tony (8/5): -
- Blar (9/5): -
- Dave (7/5): Did what it said great location for Jesmond (and Newcastle), exceptionally nice staff - Staff really helpful and friendly
Attached (Indian) restaurant was fantastic Breakfast was ok
- Nell (6/5): Ideal for a quick stopover - Location. Lovely light room and super white towels. Needs a full makeover, very tired and dated.
- Rosemary (10/5): A short bus ride from train station and within walking distance of 2 parkruns. - Arranged to pay a little more for a bay window for extra natural light into our double room. Hotel adjacent to Indian restaurant where we’d booked a table for dinner; so good we are returning in August. Hotel within walking distance of 2 parkruns- our reason for staying. Nothing.
- Fawcett (10/5): -
- David (8/5): - Breakfast Nothing
- Ruth (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Pleasant stay in a central location - Nice clean and cheap room, and onsite parking. Breakfast wasn’t the best
- Günther (9/5): friendly and comfortable - Everyone was exceptionally friendly, the location was quiet, but close to the Metro and therefor the city center was easily reachable, while not far from the airport either (we came and went by Taxi, but the Metro would have been cheaper and as fast, while the short walk would have been save enough even in the evening when we arrived). If I had to say something here, we are no big fans of "moquette" (fitted carpet) but that's something you'll find everywhere around here, so it's probably either this or a less comfy/inviting style :-P

- Tony (9/5): Great stay in a great location. - Friendly staff. Great location.

- Sarah (8/5): Apart from the bed everything was great and I would go back again - Staff were lovely, clean room and excellent value for money The bed was ? Broken, mattress was sloping down one side so I had to prop myself up with pillows
- Tracey (5/5): - Room was comfortable. Good choice of cooked breakfast. Location good for visiting my daughter who is at Newcastle University. Bathroom floor wasn't clean. Not good choice of cold breakfast. Stairs steep and narrow, which wasn't easy for my 80 yr old Mother.
- gilbert osazee (7/5): -
- Stuart (7/5): - Good value for 1 night including breakfast.
Warm welcome from reception staff member Very dated room, including bathroom suite. Furniture in room and corridors are very tired looking.
- Mark (8/5): -

- Peter (10/5): A friendly hotel in a great location with good value for money. - Vinn and his staff were very helpful and friendly. The pillow was a little hard
- Martha (10/5): -
- William (9/5): - All very good
- SamHS (8/5): - Great location, parking onsite, clean and well prepared room.
A lovely night away It didn't change my overall experience, however the shower not the best, (trickle) but did the job!
TV didn't work (but may just need batteries for the remote) I read my book and watched some clips on my phone.
I would book again.
- Ray (8/5): Stay there in the summer months - Location suited my needs There was no heating in room on arrival, but did warm up by evening, also the heating was not present at breakfast in the restaurant, required both my wife and I to wear our coats.
- John (8/5): - Location, near were i wanted to be Price of breakfast was a bit steep ,,wasn't offered toast ,had to ask,for it ,same for coffee ,,,as only a small one cup coffee pot,
- Mary Linore (8/5): -
- Jon (7/5): -
- Helen (9/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Rory (5/5): Cheap. You get what you pay for. Adjoining restaurant was great, chalk and cheese. - Rooms were ok, was relatively cheap. A bit grotty, hotel cards in rooms were completely out of date, stated food could be served, it couldn’t. One receptionist was great, the other clearly didn’t want to be there.
No lift so if you need one, pick something else.
- Paul (10/5): I am a regular visitor to this hotel because it provides excellent service - The staff are the stars and make every visit a joy Everything in the hotel is excellent. I would like a more secure and consistent WIFI service.
- Daniel (6/5): -
- Peter (9/5): -
- Annabelle (8/5): Excellent value and car park - Value, cleanliness, carpark and best curry house in the world as a restaurant Nothing

Nice bed Poor parking
Lots of hairs in rooms
No smart tv
- Cherie (9/5): Great value for business in Jesmond - Free parking, comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent Indian restaurant onsite
- Nicholas (6/5): Not as expected - Was a quiet room It states it has a car park, but the car park is only 3 spaces big one being reserved for disabled. Room needed a re vamp, was a bit worn down. So overpriced in my opinion
- Jayden (2/5): disappointed visit -
- daniel (7/5): Perfect for a quick trip to Newcastle.clean, value for money - Convenient Nothing
- Gerry (10/5): The receptionist was exceptionable and very helpful and we'll be back again !. - Nearly everything lack of lifts

Indian restaurant on site was lovely and reasonably priced breakfast was excellent value too No lift I struggled with mobility and booked without realising there was no lift however we did get a first floor room so not to many stairs which I managed
- Clive (8/5): as expected - Breakfast very good no lock on bathroom door
- Struan (10/5): - Friendly staff and hotel close to where I need to go Mattress and pillows were very firm for my liking and bar selection is limited
- Penelope (9/5): -
- David (10/5): - Everything.
The breakfast was fabulous Didn't effect me, however I got the last car park, not sure if there are enough spaces if the hotel is full 🤔
