- Raymond (6/5): Situé au milieu de nullepart et vraiment aux quatre vents.Trop cher pour ce lieu - Pas de petit dejeuner
- Chase (4/5): Would have been happy had the room been cleaner and better maintained - large fridge, microwave, vanity separate from bath/toilet area, inexpensive broken dead bolt and safety latch, broken charging plugs in the lamp, scraped up furniture, dirty sheets (blood drops)
- Brian (7/5): Was a nice stop would stay again. - Staff was friendly and great location Bathroom could use some updates.
- Luca (10/5): Cheap stay in a small charming town. - Very helpful and well mannered staff and clean rooms. Nothing, it was great!

- August (8/5): I'd stay here again. - No problems with wi-fi. Temperature control worked well. Hot water arrived promptly at shower. Comfortable bed: reasonably firm mattress, pillows neither too fat and solid nor too skimpy. No problems with noise. Hanging lamp by front window, about five feet above ground, and situated where one has to remember not to bang one's head on it when standing up from the table—and it got me at least three times. Really needs to be raised so it's not a hazard to us six-footers!
- Darrell (7/5): Nice - It was very nice and clean and a good price thank you
- Robin (6/5): -
- Cecilia (5/5): The manager was very accomadating. - It was a. Great location Toilets were not clean, floors were dirty, tub could have been better. Smell like to much cleaner.

- Jennifer (7/5): I would stay there again. It was nice. Felt safe. - The room was nice and big. Beds were comfortable. Liked the 2 mini fridges The bathroom looked clean but kinda smelled like moldy towel.
- ALICIA (10/5): This motel is in remote location close to Valley of Fire National Park There is a nice coffee shop and cafe very close - Large room, clean and comfortable. Not fancy but nice. Ice maker was not working
- Pablo Muriente (5/5): - Hotel muy caro calidad-precio
El desayuno muy pobre y poco variado
- Montgomery (1/5): Dirty and Rude Too - They were generous with the towels. Very dirty. Someone else's food was in the fridge. The shower was grimy and had someone else's hair in the drain. The floor was so dirty the bottom of my daughters white socks were black.
The toilet roll dispenser was broken. Someone had ripped it from the wall.
The staff, which was not onsite, rented me a room without checking my ID. They left the key on a box
I don't even know if that's legal. The customer service left a lot to be desired.
- Peter (10/5): - Easy check in, nice quiet room Nothing
- Priscilla (5/5): The Four Winds is clean but be prepared for ill behaved guests and poorly maintained room, amenities, and safety feature - There’s always that smell when you come into a hotel room. Old cigarette smoke, musty, perfumey cleaners, but this time it was the smell of bleach, not overwhelming, but bleach. Now to me, if I have to have a smell in a hotel room a little bit of bleach is a good smell so for me actually that was the best thing about staying at The Four Winds, because I knew that whatever they did clean with it was cleaned well. The toilet paper holder was broken, and so the roll of toilet paper had to rest on the edge of the tub. The tub faucet was half hanging off. General dated things like this. The worst was the fact that there was no chain hanging on the door for security. Because I had already had to have a confrontation with the guy in the connecting room. He was yelling and screaming with somebody all night on the telephone. So I had to go ask him to keep it down. He was not friendly about it and then I had to go back into my own room and there was no chain on my door. did not quite fill the safety.

- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): I would like to stay there next year if they have new mattresses - Convenience The mattresses were majorly uncomfortable. New mattresses would be a plus. Would’ve been nice if the floors had have been swept in the trash had been picked up before we checked in. We found bloody Band-Aids in the floor.
- Eleanor (8/5): Very good -
- Will (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, quiet Upgrade shower head
- Sunshine15447698034 (10/5): Very Pleasant Stay - As we had a long drive back home we stopped along the way and stayed at The Four Winds Motel in Carrizozo,NM on Highway 380 West. Our room was very comfortable with fresh smelling sheets and very comfortable bed, with nice amenities and nice atmosphere. We will be back again. We very much enjoyed our stay here and had a very good night sleep, The surrounding's were very quiet. We're grateful , Thank you and much appreciated.
- Jon (7/5): Good -
- Zafar (7/5): Good -
- William (7/5): Basic but met our needs - It is an older motel but has been renovated. It met our needs for the evening and location. Very few if any restaurants in the area especially in the morning for breakfast.
- Paul (7/5): Good - Decent, clean room. Comfortable bed, slept well. Local restaurants within walking distance are all closed down.
- Becky (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (7/5): Good night's sleep - Proprietor was so kind in dealing with a very late check-in. Room was mostly clean (under the bed needed sweeping,) bath was clean, bed was comfortable. The one big challenge was the parking. There are not assigned spots for each unit and several large pickups had parked in front of our room, so close together we had to turn sideways to get between them. However, most of them were gone by 6 am, so we could then get a spot in front of our room for loading/unloading.
- Betsy (7/5): OK for one night. - Quiet, on route. The owner was very kind. The bed was comfortable. There was no glass plate in the microwave. The chairs had no viable padding in the seats. There was heavy dust on a shelf of the cabinet under the TV. The heating fan was like loud white noise.
- Gabrielle (9/5): Great place to stay to enjoy the artistic community in Carrizozo - It was within walking distance of the town and a great little locally run pizzeria (Rosie’s - recommended). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very quiet. Unlike most motels there were two chairs in the room which was spacious. The owner was clearly good terms with all the local artists and supported them by telling us all about them - it seems to be a lovely community. It was a good base to explore Capitan, Lincoln and the Billy the Kid country. No ice machine and there was a hole in the side of the bath! Given the diner opposite doesn’t seem to be open for breakfast would be good to have enough coffee for the number of nights you’re staying. But minor complaints given the great value and friendly staff.
- Kimberly (8/5): Great staff/customer service. - The staff was amazing. Very accommodating. The beds were super comfortable Could use some sprucing up. It’s an older hotel - but definitely a good value for your money.
- Gail (9/5): Nicely run friendly -
- Carla (6/5): Pleasant -
- Smith (10/5): GREAT - Family live in this town Nothing
- Tomarinda (8/5): Very good - Clean rooms No top lock
- Ward (7/5): Good -
- Haygood (10/5): I will stay again when we come through. - I was pleasantly surprised at the room. The bed was very comfortable, although I should have gone to the desk to get an extra pillow. Pillow queen! Remodeled room, walking shower. 3 refrigerators? Room warmed up quickly and stayed at the temp we set. Had a remote for the air unit so I could change it as I needed. The checkin was fast and we were offered bottled water. The room was quiet.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maxim (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - Such friendly staff! Checked us in very late! Also forget something in the room and the staff was nice enough to send it to my home address! Would definitely recommend
- Sandra (10/5): America on the road - Really nice motel, clean with spacious room and very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Very friendly staff and very reasonable price. They even offered us a free room upgrade. Highly recommended!
- Juanita (10/5): Location easy to find, comfy rooms, places to eat close by - Comfy rooms, location easy to find no issues
- Austin (10/5): Great stay! Excellent option if you’re seeing anything nearby. - Room was nice, clean, had everything one would expect but all was just in nicer condition than you’d think for a hotel in a small town. Nice place would like to stay here again!
- K4620FPclarenceb (6/5): Family members stayed - This place was remodel not that long ago. Jubin left his brother in law Mital running the place. At first he was a bit rude now he is on the city board ect active in Carrizozo and turned out to be cool in YNt end. Prices are a bit high but other than that it's ok
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dale (8/5): This was a good stopover while traveling, not fancy but clean, comfortable and well-located. - The motel was clean and comfortable, with microwave and fridge. The water pressure and temperature were fine. Checkin was easy and efficient. .everything was fine.
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Busterbones (2/5): Nice receptionist. Shabby dirty motel. - I can only say that this motel was such a disappointment.
The room was dirty.
We went to bed with dirty feet because the floor needed to be washed.
Should have kept our shoes on.
The window sill and air conditioning unit were covered in dust.
The black fridge was filthy inside and out.
The shower curtain was so thick with scum that neither of us wanted to shower.
The bed cover had what looked like blood on it.
The wall near the sink unit has splashes of something up it!
Connecting doors, thin walls.
Definitely need to put in better insulation.
We had to put up with two noisy men next door who made one hell of a noise at 5 am. We didn't need to hear them have a conversation. It was like they were in the room with us.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The only nice thing was the lady at reception. She was very pleasant.
If we hadn't have already driven 350 miles that day we would have driven on to find somewhere else.
- Werner (10/5): Exceptional - huge accommodation... all TV Channels, Netflix, etc, new showers
- Sweet (10/5): A fantastic little gem - Very clean. Comfortable bed. Park right outside your room. Felt safe and secure.
- SweetCamper (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Had a great overnight stay at the Four Winds Motel. Check in was friendly and professional. They had not received my reservation from Booking.com, but the clerk was able to get me into a room. Room was clean and comfortable. A bit inconvenient not having shelves for soap/shampoo in the shower. Big 55/66 inch TV, great for watching NFSl football! Mabel B'z restaurant across the street was excellent!
- Cliff (10/5): Great location, good night's sleep, EV charging available upon request. Two Thumbs Up! - EV Charging is available if it is requested. That is a big deal for me.
- Eric (10/5): This place is the kind of standard every affordable hotwl should be. - Great staff. Clean room. Everything was perfect. Including the price.
- Clemnm (9/5): I will stay here again - Nice facility. A bit noisy last night, but that was guests and not facility related.
- Jose (1/5): Bad - I get there at midnight and they don't have any room available
They say do not have any record of my reservation and I ended up looking for rooms at diferent locations whit my grand kids and my wife, I will never come back yo this place again.
- Patricia (10/5): Clean - Staff Price
- Jeff (8/5): Good for a one night stay - Good location. Recommend the diner across the street. Could use more security lights in the parking lot.
- Lisa (8/5): Decent place to get a shower and rest at a good price. - Low price, good location, front desk lady nice and helpful. Towels / wash rags , sheets , pillows had stains.
- Catherine (8/5): Great stopover - Right off the main road but rooms were quiet.
Manager was very friendly and allowed us to check in a little early
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saunders (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (8/5): Great value for money - Staff was very congenial and helpful Could have been cleaner
- Robin (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Doris (10/5): Comfortable overnight stay - Comfortable room.
- Steven (9/5): Superb - Management met our requests.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good -
- Francisco (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very friendly and a good place to stay in New Mexico
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - IN A SMALL TOWN OUT OF THE WAY A SURPRISINGLY PLEASANT MOTEL AT A VERY GOOD PRICE.
- Jennifer (9/5): A perfect value! - Comfortable beds, excellent TV & channel selection, clean and quiet. Suggest thicker curtains for privacy.
- Alejandro (8/5): Very good -
- Verlaine (7/5): Good - Staff very friendly Bed and pillows not that comfortable
- Jain (3/5): Disappointed - Location The walls are paper thin and you could hear the conversation in next room. Wake up Alarm went off at 3am next door and noises continued till it was time for me to wake up to face a 14 hour drive - not restful at all
- Thomas (4/5): Disappointing - Too noisy. Doors connecting the rooms made it seem as though the guy in the next room was IN my room.
- Carlos (7/5): Comfortable and met our needs. - Good value, friendly staff. The only complaint I have is that the shower curtain could definitely be replaced. I did let them know at checkout and they were glad for the feedback.
- Cheryl (10/5): Amazingly good motel. - Overall cleanliness of the room. Friendly staff. Great value. Nothing
- Nathan (9/5): Excellent manager who went out of his way to meet our needs; introduced us to Carrizozo's mayor. - Accommodations were made and shared with guests to view the solar eclipse. Carrizozo has a great little business district with much character, and a personable mayor who was also very accommodating. There was debris in a corner of the shower.
