• Kerry (10/5): Cozy and Inviting - I love the area it is in it's very secluded. Wasn't sure about the self checkin but Doug had it set up so it was flawless. The rooms are large and very well set up it's warm and cozy with a fantastic view from the large windows. The bathroom is beautiful with all of the rock which you would think would be cold but it's not. We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge.

• Rosemary (9/5): - Doug is very sweet. That bear in the gravel lot was amazing at 4:30 AM. Roadie was terrified but did not bark and tried to pull away. I backed up slowly far enough to be sure the bear felt safe. There was a barking dog on our floor (not ours). Our girl is non responsive to other dogs. Roadie has stayed there in the past so maybe she is used to it?

The self check-in is easy, rooms are comfortable and amenities are what I need for several days. I love that Chef Abhi's Classic Indian Restaurant is downstairs, so walking there for a meal is convenient. I stay here every time I need to work in the area. Thank you! Nothing.
• Nicole (8/5): Beautiful, private, romantic, not super comfy - The property is in a beautiful, private location set against the side of the mountain. The room was gorgeous. We loved the contact free check in and checkout, it made everything feel very private. Although beautiful, the beds were not very comfortable… we woke up with sore hips and shoulders each morning. Lots of dust in the bathroom upon check in but maybe it just hadn’t been rented in awhile. They advertised as pet friendly but there were no garbage cans on the outside of the property that we could see so nowhere to get ride of dog poop if you needed to.

I am looking forward to returning here soon so I may enjoy this unimposing gem, which was recommended to me by a co-worker. The appropriately repurposed building with its unique architecture yields flawlessly to the outside surroundings, inviting it inward beautifully. Amenities are clean, comfortable, booking was pleasant and parking is ample.

The balcony overlooking the cedar trees made it feel like we were in a treehouse. We ate at the Indian restaurant at the Lodge and it was fantastic food. Everything was so fresh. I love Indian food and Chef Abhi’s was some of the best Indian food I have had. Beautiful flavours and so well balanced. I could taste the love and intention in their food. A stay at the Lodge won’t disappoint but to fully enjoy, a room with a balcony is a must.

• Robin (10/5): Fantastic hidden gem in the forest! - The Lodge was an unexpected jewel. It is tucked away in the forest and very quiet. It felt like a resort rather than a hotel. I really appreciated the keyless entry and the low key atmosphere. I didn't try the restaurant, but it smelled delicious! I can't think of anything that could have been done better. It really was a charming place.

An incident prevented us from getting to Terrace at a decent time, so being able to self check in after midnight was ideal. We loved the room. To wake up to the beautiful view of trees outside our deck, was such a treat. It was a spacious room with fire logs ready should we need them. Plenty of towels. It was perfect. We plan to visit our family more and I think we’ve found our home away from home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

• Matthew (8/5): - I enjoyed my 5 nights here very much. It should be noted that this is not a traditional hotel. Check is done by yourself. You receive an email in advance with instructions on where to get your key. Except for the absence of a front desk or any staff, once you are in your room, you really don't notice any lack of service. The rooms are decorated in a mountain cabin style, with wood-burning fireplaces, large beds,.couches, and large balconies. The room itself was very big. Much bigger than a standard hotel room, with a modern and well-appointed washroom. Fire logs are supplied, and the rooms have good Wi-Fi, decent television, and lots of places to plug in a charger. The road to the lodge is gravel and the last little bit is fairly steep. But there is certainly enough space to park, next to the building, even if you may have to tuck in against the hillside at the edge of the dirt road. No elevators, but a single flight of stairs gets you to your room, be it up or down. I visit Terrace a lot for business and would definitely consider staying here again.

There was no lighting or signage as to where to go. Stumbled in the dark trying to find where to go. Once in, the room was fine.
