Guest Reviews
- Fiona (10/5): Just exemplary in every way - Super-welcoming hosts from the very first communications; immaculate facilities in a lovely location.
- Chris (10/5): Perfect for a short weekend break - Quiet, safe and secure. Nothing
- Glen (10/5): Wonderful - There was a complementary basket of basic items that really helped with breakfast for a few days. Eggs, bacon, bread, milk and apples to name a few of them. Nothing comes to mind. All our expectations were met and some.
- Olga (10/5): - Lovely and spacious place to stay. The hosts were very helpful throughout!
- Saranne (9/5): -
- Harm (10/5): - Comfortable, spacious bedroom and livingroom
King size bed. First bed in 4 weekse UK and many acvomodations big enough for both of us. Quiet peaceful location. Kitchen a bit small.
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional! - A really lovely coach house in such a beautiful setting. We had a hamper of essentials and goodies (including a bottle of wine in the fridge) on arrival. There were little chocolates on the towels on the bed, soaps and Nespresso coffee pods for the coffee machine. All this made it feel extra special. Not long after we arrived, Naomi (the owner), gave us a knock and introduced herself. She was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The young couple who look after the buildings were also really friendly and helpful. Over all, a perfect stay in a perfect place. We will definitely be going back! Thank you Naomi & Mark!
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely and clean, would highly recommend - The house was lovely and clean had everything you needed for a short stay! The hamper basket was a lovely addition too thank you :) There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- Sharon (9/5): Beautiful property, well planned, good decoration - Lovely property, clean, well equipped, plenty of parking, quiet. Everything thought of All good
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The coach house was wonderful it's facilities were excellent and very comfortable. The location was just right allowing easy access to the area while providing a quiet spot to return to. The welcome pack food and essentials were very welcome after our long journey 😀 Not a thing.
- Warren (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): A great place to stay. - A very comfortable house. Quiet location. We were given a lovely basket of food on arrival, including bread, butter, milk, eggs, savoury snacks and wine. Very well appointed. It is handy if you are visiting Great Dixter, Sissinghurst etc. Only an hour from Gatwick.
- Inga (8/5): Very good - Great location for the main attractions. Lovely box of welcoming goodies and well appointed. The kitchen area was very small. There was no way of managing the heating and the house was cold. The tvs didn’t work in the bedroom and living room.
- Jen (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - What an absolutely wonderful place! The courtyard was so peaceful & I loved how quiet and dark it was at night. The welcome package was so thoughtful (& generous) and Mark was very helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean & beautifully furnished. We also came during a random April heatwave & thankfully the rooms were cool! We would definitely stay here if we come this way again. No issues - everything was great!
- Wincote (10/5): Highly recommended host and accommodation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything was spot on; the accommodation, the cleanliness, the location, the peace and quiet, the bed was so comfortable (I wanted to take it home) and there was instant hot water for a long soak in the deep bath.
The welcome hamper, with bread, milk, eggs, butter, mineral water plus other goodies, was a nice touch and much appreciated.
Mark, the host, was a nice guy; friendly, approachable and was easily contactable should we have needed anything.
I highly recommend staying in The Coach House and would absolutely, definitely, 100% stay there again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Sarah (10/5): Very happy with our stay. - The location is excellent and basket of goodies most appreciated.
- Ineta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Freddy (8/5): Very good -
- Mcdonnell (10/5): Peaceful stay in a lovey old property that is clean and very comfortable. - Lovely rural location but convenient enough. The property was very well kept, everything was clean and well maintained. The coach house has excellent parking right outside your door. The hosts were very helpful and provided us with clear instructions on everything - also there was a nice welcome pack on arrival. They had also supplied a helpful folder of useful information about the property and nearby attractions. Nothing, If I had to say something the kitchen is small but it was fine for us.
- Michael (10/5): Superb stay - It was quiet and pleasant and very clean and the main bedroom was a superb size Could have a little more utility space in the kitchen
- Christine (10/5): Good accommodation in a lovely part of the UK...recommended. - Well thought out and maintained. Plenty of space...bedroom and bathroom...and access to the grounds greatly appreciated. Welcome bottle of wine a very nice touch. Good furniture in the bedroom and a glorious bathroom. Husband, who does the cooking, struggled in the very small kitchen and its lack of work surface...we muddled through of course. For many this space would be adequate but for the veggie hubby who prefers to eat proper veggie dishes at home the kitchen was a challenge. Not enough of one to stop us considering coming back one day though.
- Musco (9/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. - Location was good. Plenty of space in the courtyard to park the car. Electric gates to get into courtyard. The welcome pack was greatly appeciated. Kitchen area was on the small side but the two of us coped with it ok for a four night trip
- Ursula (10/5): Lovely place for which we were really grateful - one to revisit - The property was really lovely. Lots of lovely touches made by the owners to make your stay enjoyable - lovely little welcome basket, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated accommodation and everything you could need! We were travelling with two adults and a child and we all enjoyed our stay. Lots of room. All in all would highly recommend The Wi-Fi was problematic at times (although this is not just about this property in the region) - did not impact on our stay really at all.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): The property and location were excellent with lovely friendly hosts -
- Goold (10/5): The Coach House - Not a lot to dislike.
The accommodation was very clean and tidy.
Rural setting that suited our purpose.
Welcome hamper was wonderful.
Mark was a perfect host.
Would happily return. N/A
- Bart (10/5): We had a wonderful time at the Coach House! - The Coach House is a beautiful place to stay with a lovely patio. It is very well equipped and all of the furniture is of a very good quality. The beds are wonderful! Mark is a very kind host and always helpful. The cottage is very clean and we felt really spoilt. We will definitely return to this lovely place!
- Karen (8/5): Perfectly adequate we were only around for a quick breakfast, and returned at bed time. - The coach house is as described. I would return and recommend to friends. Perfectly comfortable, quiet and clean, in a nice location, a car is needed. The shower over the bath. Bath looks nice, but struggled to keep the water in the bath unless you are kneeling down for a shower. The shower hook on the wall didn't appear to hold the shower head. Tiny corner sink. Wouldn't put me off returning, you do need to able bodied to climb in and out of the bath. Am being picky here, as there is a working shower in the kids room upstairs.
- Jane (10/5): Very pleasant - Clean and comfortable , care had been taken to make the stay pleasant. The facilities were excellent.
- Janet (9/5): Lovely cottage. Very quiet and everything we needed for a weekend stay - Great welcome basket. We were able to enjoy the wonderful weather and a glass of wine in the courtyard garden
- Joanna (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (8/5): Comfortable, Clean, Lovely welcome pack, Secure access with free parking - Location for us was excellent
We were visiting relatives in Hurst Green nothing really
maybe a dustpan and brush lol
- Ademola (10/5): We had a great stay and our kids loved it too - Great host, lovely house-?”home away from home.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Had everything I needed for a short stay. Appreciated the welcome basket and milk, butter, tea, coffee. Lovely bathrooms and bedrooms and furnishings. Very quiet and handy for the village and countryside. Kitchen is very bijou but was fine for my purposes.
- Su (10/5): beautiful decor- hosts checked in everyday to see if there anything more needed - The hosts provided a wonderful ‘plant based ‘ welcome basket from their own kitchen garden N/A
- Gemma (10/5): - An amazing place to stay!!! We thoroughly enjoyed!!!
- Frank (10/5): Clean, tidy apartment with a very friendly welcome - We were visiting the area for a wedding and decided to stay at the Coach House. The apartment was very clean, nicely furnished and kindly stocked with some basic essentials (milk, butter etc.). Communication was excellent - Mark was very friendly and got in touch a few days before by email with directions to the property and guides and tips for when we were there. He then followed up with a call before we arrived. We would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be back again if we visit the area!
- Russell (10/5): Great family accommodation - We loved The Coach House and will definitely return. It is ideal for a couple of family with young children who want a base to explore this part of Kent/East Sussex. It is located
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A lovely old coach house with lots of the original features, and updated very nicely. The master bedroom in particular is really nice - very spacious, and the super-king-size bed is great
