Guest Reviews
- Kate (10/5): - The property is lovely and separate from the mail house which is nice. The hosts are great and helped us out when we had to stay longer. As described and a great and relaxing boot hole. Particularly nice was milk in the fridge when we arrived for the available tea and coffee. A really nice touch!
- Clement (10/5): Great stay at the stables - Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend.
- anna (10/5): - Simon and Sara were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome . The house and grounds are amazing so we will return in the summer months to explore further . Excellent breakfast choices so you will never go hungry!
- Karen (10/5): - We had a brilliant couple of days here. The house and the surrounding grounds were amazing and our hosts were excellent and the breakfast was really good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Both the communal areas of the house and our room were of a very high standard - we stayed in the Woolner Suite, which was very spacious with a beautiful view and large fireplace in the seating area, together with a lovely bathroom. This made it a great place to relax during our week long stay.
Sara and Simon could not have been more welcoming, and it was clear that they wanted us to feel at home and enjoy our stay - they took time to chat and offer to make any restaurant reservations etc we may need.
Great breakfasts, and home made afternoon treats each day! Would definitely recommend.
- Shilan (10/5): Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway - As a family of 4 I really enjoyed my stay at Boreham House. The owners were amazing, very professional, welcoming and provided us a lovely breakfast every morning. The property maintains a delightful, combined modern and historic feel to it as the owners have renovated the property to a very high standard whilst keeping the historic element.
- Dolly (10/5): - We loved staying at Boreham House: a beautiful place where you feel at home. The room had everything we could want cleanliness, comfort and a good, powerful, hot shower. Sara made some oh-so delicious home-made cookies for us and in the morning we were welcomed to the breakfast room by a lit fire. It really felt special!
We loved having some fresh fruit salad to start with and chose vegetarian breakfasts that had halloumi instead of the usual proffering of sausages, which was a very nice change. The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and the recent winners of a prestigious award. It was clear that they enjoy sharing their home and it really made a difference to me to know that. We had a tyre issue which they noticed and insisted on helping us with. They were kind in offering to show us around the grounds, which unfortunately we couldn’t take up due to needing to leave quite early. Though, we did get to look around the house, which has been so lovingly and beautifully restored. We are very grateful to them enabling us to have such a nice time, in such a short space of time. Thank you for sharing your home with us, it’s beautiful! We’re hoping to book the suite next time for a special occasion, confident that we will be taken care of if we stay at Boreham House.
