Guest Reviews
- CHELELLEN (10/5): Nice little Apartment, well located and spacious - Nice little apartment extremely well located. There is a train that runs just under the property, but it was not that bad to be honest.
The apartment was spacious and had a fan which helped a lot in the little mini heatwave we had here in Scotland.
The host was very accommodating and helpful I would stay at this location again.
- Paul (6/5): Kitchen - Not very clean we took a plate out of the cupboard it wasn't washed, a hand towel had a hole in it, kitchen pans was old, no tea towel.
- Callum (10/5): - Great communications
- Ashley R (8/5): - The flat is right over a Tesco, which is very convenient when grocery shopping. The location isn’t too far from University of Glasgow and close to the aprk
- Alan (8/5): Good spacious apartment, but near train line. - Good location on Argyle Street - plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Apartment was spacious and clean. The apartment I stayed in was at the back of the building and right next to a busy train line that runs late and starts early. The mattress in the double room was rather uncomfortable to slept in one of the single beds which were fine. Good comms with the people who looked after the apartments - arranged late arrival etc.
- Chris (4/5): Try somewhere else - This is a condo rental, not a hotel. There is no front desk, and there is no staff. The instructions from Orbitz said to call ahead to arrange to be let in. I phoned a week in advance. The man who answered the phone was surprised, and told me that he did not deal with the apartments and had no idea how I got his number, however, he did know the person I should contact, gave me his number, and advised that I wait until 48 hours prior to arrival before calling, because of change in available rooms with time. I spoke to the person he referred me to, and he agreed to meet me at the apartment when we arrived. When we met, he admitted that he had no record of my rental, and had not been paid by Orbitz. A quick call to customer service at Orbitz verified that the rental had been scheduled and paid. The local rental agent was very nice, and upgraded us to a two bedroom, stating that he did not feel right turning us away, though he continued to insist that he had no record of our reservation and had not been paid. He told us that he might need to move us to another location at some point to make room for other guests. Later, he admitted that a change in their calendar had erased the record of my reservation.
The apartments were okay, nothing exceptional by US standards, though perhaps a bit more attractive by UK standards. The building was not very nice. The noise of the trains was a bother. I would not stay there again.
- Paul (10/5): Nice central apartments - Easy check in, nice amenities, central location but some maintanance needed
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location next to Mitchell Library - This unit may not be the greatest location for everyone - but it was perfect for us because it is literally across the street from the Mitchell Library in Glasgow. We were there to do some family history research and this was the perfect location - less than a minute's walk from our building to the Mitchell. Can't get better than that. So, if you are going to Glasgow for family or academic research at the Mitchell, this is the place to stay. There is a Tesco express supermarket downstairs, with a cash machine installed. There is a good pub a couple of doors away (The Bon Accord) and the Mitchell itself has a reasonable café. There are other cafes a few minutes walk away also. You will be well catered for.
The only drawback is that a freeway runs right past the front windows of the apartment. However, the soundproofing is very good, as long as the windows are closed. You can't hear the road noise at night in the bedroom, which is good.
As the windows need to stay closed, the apartment can get warm over time. This can be alleviated somewhat by opening the window in the bedroom. If you open the front windows, the place is filled with road noise. A split system air-conditioner would do wonders really. We stayed in August and as the temperatures were cool, the interior unit temp wasn't really a problem as we could regulate it without too much road noise intrusion. Summer time may be a different story.
Overall we had a great stay and recommend this place to others.
- Margaret (8/5): Glasgow Trip. Loved flat and area. Cleaning issue. - Area great. Flat potential for being great but thoroughness in cleaning disappointing. Shame but didn't spoil our stay as I enjoy cleaning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Apartment in a great location with parking - Really great apartment with lots os pace, well appointed kitchen and a washer/dryer machine. Very helpful hosts. Great on site parking as you don't really want to drive around Glasgow, so its a great place to just store the car while there.
- Owen (10/5): Nice location, nice apartment - My family and I had a great time staying with Executive 7. The suite was perfect for our needs, and was found in a convenient location in Glasgow with easy access to restaurants and a market. We had some minor trouble checking in, but once that was out of the way the unit provided everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic flat in a great area - It was a fantastic flat in a great location. The pictures on the site are accurate. The staff was so helpful and willing to answer our questions. Very clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): I do not recommend - These are one room apartments without reception, it's not a hotel. The attention of the staff to answer my call was ok. The apartment isn't so close to the city centre, there weren't amenities (just a soap for hands) and no hair dryer. I didn't feel safe, because everyone could have the keys of the apartment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a brilliant weekend in Glasgow ideal location can not fault the service.
- Michael (8/5): - Really good apartment with all the home from home facilities you would need. Great meet and greet on arrival and easy check in and out from Sam. Only downside was the noise from the rear of the property in the early hours caused by people talking/shouting and lot's of doors slamming constantly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great apartment - Huge apartment, right in the heart of Finnieston. If you want a great apartment in Glasgow then this is a great base.
- Lorna (10/5): Excellent property, great location. - We stayed for a weekend with our 2 year old and would highly recommend. The property had everything we needed, was furnished to a high standard and the owner was very helpful.
- Nathan (8/5): Cool hipster neighbourhood - Great place, very convenient with a car. This is an apartment in an apartment building
- Tony (8/5): Privacy and free parking. - If you don't want the restrictions of a hotel then this is a perfect venue, well located and well equipped with secure and safe parking (must be prearranged). The owner will meet you on arrival to point out where to find most of your requirements.
Lots of space in the sitting room to spread yourself out and get comfortable. Big TV and inclusive wifi so you can stay entertained and connected.
Short walk to the SECC and Hydro, Sauchiehall Street only 10 minutes walk and George Square 15 minutes too.
Everything was good for me although I found the bed was a little uncomfortable as I prefer a firmer mattress.
- GORDON (10/5): - Helpful check in and check . Pleasant although right beside M8 , bedroom is quiet
