• Katherine Nell (10/5): Beautiful B&B strategically located - It’s strategically in the centre facing the beach near the clock tower, the lift, and a car park. The island coaster stops right in front. We were upgraded to a room that faced the beach, and breakfast was great. Nothing to complain about really. None
• Fra Angelico (10/5): Wir hatten im Osborne eine wunderbare Auszeit am Meer mit sympathischen, "familiären" Gastgebern. - Fantastisches Frühstück mit Meerblick, Ingwer-Shots, schöner Lese- und Aufenthaltsraum, alles ganz neu eingerichtet und sauber, sehr nettes Besitzerpaar, freundliche und persönliche Betreuung, Esplanade, Strand und Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Haustür, mehrere Restaurants in Laufweite, Costal Path und Shanklin Old Village 'um die Ecke', gute Busanbindung, alles sehr hell und freundlich, ideal für eine Auszeit mit Wanderungen und Ausflügen. Im Hotel war alles perfekt. John und Francie, die Besitzer, sind wunderbare Gastgeber. -- Wir waren im März da. Alles war daher noch sehr leer und ruhig. Im Sommer könnte es allerdings etwas "busy" sein, weil der große Parkplatz für Reisebusse direkt neben dem Hotel liegt und auf der Esplanade dann ziemlich viel touristischer Betrieb und Autoverkehr sein dürfte.

Reception rooms comfortable and it was lovely having breakfast on terrace. Frankie greeted us on arrival and could not have been more helpful during our stay.

We had an amazing stay for our 20th wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked a better hotel..I'm amazed its only a 3 star as we received an above 5* service. It was quiet, relaxing and decorated to an exceptional standard! We would highly recommend it to anyone and certainly will be returning. Our stay just wasn't long enough lol.

Spotlessly clean, welcoming and helpful hosts, lovely location, comfy beds, excellent bathrooms...the list goes on! TV was not easy to operate and took a while to get used to. Same comment about the complicated light system, which was somewhat overspec'd Shower was spacious with plenty of water but would have benefitted from the addition of a safety handle.

• Amanda (10/5): Best place to stay in Shanklin - John and Francie really made us feel at home & went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. As I am lactose intolerant and are not able to tolerate cows milk - they had oat milk supplied & decaf tea available for breakfast which I really appreciated. They have, (with the owner), made The Osbourne into a wonderful place - with everything that you would ever need for your holiday stay. The bar makes a great addition to the already comfortable and outstanding place to stay. The Osbourne is situated just on the beach so you are able to go for a swim in the sea whenever you fancy it. The rooms are delightful, ours was beautiful & overlooked the beach - bath towels were soft & the bed was so comfortable. Luxurious toiletries supplied too. A coffee machine and fresh milk were supplied in the room plus tea, biscuits. Cold bottled water supplied in the fridge. Thank you both so much for your warm welcome and we are very much looking forward to returning next year 🙏🏻 🤗your hospitality was second to none ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely a place to stay it has everything & highly recommend! Nothing - the Osbourne has everything you need Perhaps a hairdryer in the room but it was so hot outside I didn't need it.

• Jill (10/5): Excellent, thanks to Helen, Dave and Richard. - Location was excellent, out of the door and Onto the beach. The hosts were extremely helpful, friendly and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was tasty, plenty of choices. A thoroughly lovely place. The bed was a little small but that was the only observation that was negative.

• Jenny (10/5): First Class! - We found everything great at the accommodation. Nothing was missing, the accommodation was spotless, breakfasts amazing, Helen & Dave made us extremely welcome & offered many extras like wine glasses if needed, beach towels, an abundance of leaflets were available for us to view & make arrangements to visit places whilst on our vacation. We have holiday'd via Booking.com for years & this venue, facilities & staff have topped our 'bill' in everyway. The fact we were leaving!
• Richard (9/5): Superb - Location was the major reason for choosing this accommodation, allied to some very positive feedback previously. It didn't disappoint, helpful information pre arrival and throughout our stay, a warm welcome, a well cooked breakfast and so on. Nothing in reality.

The rooms were very nice and clean and comfortable and a very good choice of breakfast the cooked breakfast was very good, beautiful views and lovely and quiet we had the best five days break and would definitely recommend and we would love to return if we get a chance.

Porch with comfortable chairs and tables overlooking the ocean provides a perfect hang-out area for reading or just relaxing. Hop-on/hop-off bus stop right in front. A couple of restaurants within walking distance - Hospitality: Helen and Dave were AWESOME. Could not do enough! Very kind and helpful. FONTs of local information and knowledge. Also, just nice people... - Room #2: VERY comfortable, nicely decorated with lots of "amenities" including tea/coffee set up, fridge, TV, etc. Shower with lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. PLUS fabulous views. Slept with the window slightly open to catch the marvelous ocean breeze all night. PEREFECT. - Breakfast: Full classic English Breakfast available with all the fixin's BUT leverage "order sheet" to customize breakfast options. So many options! All cooked to order and served steaming hot. Plus the breakfast room was just lovely with a fabulous view of the ocean and lots of natural light. We didn't like having to leave after only 3 nights!
• Arti (10/5): A lovely place to stay on the beachfront. - Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. We had the one bed apartment which had a well equipped kitchen and large bathroom; sea facing living room window with a nice view. Beds were comfy and we had a good sleep. Helen and her team provided excellent breakfast. They were was hands on all the time; taking care of everyone's needs. Location is superb, you can't be any nearer to the sea. A good restaurant just adjacent to the property, and many more within 10-15 minutes walk. Parking available near the property so no issues there. Arcade, shops and mini golf at a stone's throw. Couldn't find any faults here!

• Sashant (9/5): Fantastic couple of days right on the beach. - Helen and Dave are superb hosts. From the moment we arrived to the time we left there was nothing left wanting. Helen informed me of the facilities including parking arrangements clearly well in advance. Helen was very prompt with her responses to any question we had. The breakfast provided was sumptuous and the choice was fantastic. Even though we were out of main season there was nothing that was missing. Helen and Dave have great knowledge of the area and gave good advice on what can be done. If you contact the hosts prior to booking ferries etc Helen and Dave do offer discounted tickets for ferries and parking. Well worth a look. You should be aware that the recommended parking adjacent to the property is a bit confusing at night time if booked through the mobile app. After 20:00 you need to pay £2.30 for parking up to 08:00 the next morning but the app seems to indicate that the parking is only until 04:30. However if you extend the parking for one hour the expiry shown is 09:00. I hasten to add that this is not the fault whatsoever of Helen or Dave but the council parking or the app. At peak the car park may get rather full during the day. Only other improvement could be that there could be some milk (not creamer) left in the room for morning tea although I am sure if you request it from Helen/Dave they would probably gladly provide it. The local eateries/pubs adjacent to Pink Beach seem to close rather early so we could not stroll down for a drink, but this may be because we were there out of season. However I did notice that Helen/Dave had a good stocked up bar next to the dining room(unfortunately spotted it on the morning of the day we were leaving).
• Sheila (10/5): Superb - Nothing had been overlooked in making our stay as pleasant as possible. The accommodation was comfortable, breakfast prepared exactly to our taste. Fresh milk and water in a fridge for drinks. Even the dog came to wish us bon voyage Nothing. It was perfect.
