The facility is very nice, scenic, relaxing, and well-appointed. Plenty of safe parking. Now to the best part. The hosts, Joyce and Garry, are amazing. Joyce is extremely friendly and helpful, and seeking to please and meet any need or request. Garry was a bit less present but did an amazing job in the kitchen and in preparing delicious jams and preserves. All things considered, this was probably our all time favorite B&B experience anywhere. Not planning a longer visit here.

Fresh milk too The bathroom was well stocked with luxury toiletries and fluffy towels Overall our stay was very comfortable and exciting with the possibility of seeing a resident red squirrel. Having tea and cake on arrival was a lovely way to welcome us. We were offered fresh milk for the tea and coffee facilities in our room, and they booked us dinner at a local restaurant, the Boat Inn, which was also excellent. The home is surrounded by beautiful woodland walks and has fab views. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with freshly made bread and incredible homemade jams and marmalades, as well as a fantastic cooked breakfast. Even when we checked out, Joyce was there to say goodbye and warmly wish us back again in the future. I wanted to stay longer! Absolutely nothing. I want to come back as a little retreat!

The beautiful garden with river sound and view were relaxing. We very much appreciated the confortable bedding. Good advice from our hosts to walk to Loch Muick circuit where we met stags closely. Our hosts were very careful, we recommand warmly a stay with them. Nothing, all was perfect even the Sunny days :-)

- Jane (10/5): Delightful stay in a beautiful location - An absolute gem, we travel extensively and this is the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere. Joyce and Garry are exceptional hosts, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and very welcoming. We had a large comfortable room with a balcony and views over the river Dee & beyond. The breakfasts are well-cooked, beautifully presented, very tasty and there is a great choice - we loved the vegetarian haggis and Garry's award winning marmalade's. Its an ideal location for a huge number of walks, visiting Balmoral or walking into town where there is a good pub( basic but good food) or an Indian restaurant. There are some lovely touches too - chocolates in your room, honestly bar where you can enjoy a drink on the pretty terrace, bathrobes and fresh flowers throughout the main areas. Its more than a B&B Joyce and Garry share their beautiful home which is delightful. We look forward to our next visit. We really can't think of anything we had a fabulous stay
- Russell (10/5): - This stay was just exceptional in every way. The property was beautiful. The views were fantastic. There was easy access to walk along the river into town. The breakfasts were phenomenal. The evening “boards” you could order were delicious. But by far the best thing of all was Joyce and Gary’s warm hospitality. We want to return.

- Caroline (10/5): A few days to decompress in luxury after a family wedding. - The ambience was calm and peaceful. The house was beautiful. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable and luxurious. The breakfasts were delicious and the service exemplary. Walking distance from a good pub with food. It was expensive but what is on offer does merit the high cost.

There are lot’s of things to see and do in this part of Scotland. Thank you Joyce & Garry. Nothing. Felt right at home from the moment I arrived. Joyce and Garry are consummate hosts.

- Alexandra (10/5): Hidden Jewel in Aboyne where you won’t want to leave - Beautiful house with tasteful interior design in a peaceful environment and view on the river with cows in the background. We adored the place and have been hosted wonderfully. The homemade breakfast was delicious. We even were able to charge our electric car. Everything was perfect.

- Ann-kathrin (10/5): Best B&B! - The might’ve been the best place we’ve ever stayed in. It was plain superb! Joyce and Gerry are amazing hosts, so thoughtful with absolutely everything. You get tea and cake every afternoon in the guest lounge which also features a working fireplace (it was quite cold while we stayed here) and an honest bar. The garden looked lovely, but it was too cold to use it. The room was great with so many lovely details and little touches (for example the complimentary box of exquisite chocolates). The breakfast was maybe the best we’ve ever had, all sourced locally and incredibly delicious! We hope to return soon! It was all perfect!

- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Hotels etc that get awards are often rather disappointing. Not so here. It was the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Super rooms, excellent beds and linen, lovely breakfast. It made for a lovely weekend
- Mark (10/5): Tremendous stay. - This is am amazing house with large rooms, tall ceilings and a grand staircase all beautifully decorated and fitted out. Immense attention to detail in how the rooms have been designed and furnished. Very welcoming hosts. Pretty large mature gardens, with views over the river and farmland with hills looming in the distance. We ate locally for dinner but the breakfasts were wonderful. All of the food was of high quality including a lovely selection of fresh berries. The hot options were cooked to order. A great stay. We even saw some red squirrels on one morning.

Options are available to have supper there as well. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable and the very well appointed. Impeccably clean throughout the home. Highly recommend this property.

From the Egyptian cotton linen, to coffee and cake every evening to the box of luxury chocolates and the homemade jams and locally sourced produce, Joyce and Garry's attention to detail and warmth made our stay a memorable one. - David (10/5): - We had a wonderful two night stay and this was the highlight venue of our three week travel. Joyce and Gary are wonderful hosts and our room was stunning. We visited several events in the area including Balmoral and the Highland Games in Dufftown so our only regret was that we did not get to spend enough time just enjoying the room! We DID take Joyce's suggestion the very first night to walk into town to the Boat Pub and that was a special time. We loved our time and would love to return.

Oh yes, and the breakfast with locally sourced ingredients was wonderful. Nothing comes to mind; from my perspective (as a fussy traveller) it was perfect.
