Guest Reviews
- Emma (7/5): Overall a great property with a few issues - The property was in a great location. Upon arrival we did not have enough towel or chairs in the property so I contacted the owner who brought them over very quickly The ensuite suite bathroom appeared to have a few issues with a blocked shower. The owner came out & removed the cup from the shower drain which helped with the speed of the water flowing, however an unpleasant smell remained each time we ran the shower. The toilet seat was also loose.
We had a problem with the oven because the symbols to show which setting you choose have been rubbed off & we couldn't find a book in the kitchen relating to the oven. In the end we googled the model of oven but it took us a long time to find the information & it took a long time to cook our dinner!
- Simon (7/5): - The gardens around the property are really lovely. Also the property is well maintained overall and very clean. The host was also responsive when contacted. The host was also very flexible. Gwithian village is really beautiful and is very close to the beach. Check in instructions could have been clearer - no information was sent through and I had to contact the host to find out how to get in. Some items were missing but this was not down to the host, it appears that a previous guest had taken them.
- Maryia (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing gateaway - Beautiful property in a wonderful village by the beach. The best surfing school in the area and local pub with delicious food. If you want to have a peacefully relaxing stay away that’s the place for you! Thank you Tyson for being a wonderful host and looking after your customers so well. We are definitely back again soon. Nothing we didn’t like
- marilyn (10/5): Fantastic , relaxing stay . - Godrevy house is large and spacious . It’s clean and has all you need . There is a lovely pub The Red River Inn within walking distance and the beach is a 10 min stroll . It’s a beautiful part of Cornwall . We had a a fantastic time , relaxing and will definitely be back . Nothing . It was perfect .
- Winton (10/5): Ideal for a getaway to West Cornwall - Perfect location for the beaches at Gwithian & Godrevy. Numerous dog walks on the doorstep.
- Catherine (6/5): Lovely location for a comfortable, simple stay. - The location was great and the apartment was beautifully clean and also very quiet. The bed was really comfortable! The apartment was quite hard to keep warm, even with the radiator permanently on. I was surprised that certain items listed under the apartment (like coffee maker, hairdryer) weren't actually available and had to be requested. Not a big deal, but could have been made available to prevent having to send messages and wait for delivery.
Perhaps more loo roll could have been provided, too! Just 1 roll for a 3 night/4 day stay went very quickly.
- Rowan (8/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): - Location to beach and local pub
- Lisa (8/5): - Comfortable little apartment with all you need. Sound travels from apartment above.
- JENNIFER ANN (10/5): -
- Jennifer (6/5): Good value place to lay your head but be up and out the next morning - Key code for keys very easy.
Met Tyson the owner who was very friendly.
Location was fantastic.
Easy place to stay with dog and little garden.
Local pub was recommended which did have good food and accessibility.
Jam Pot cafe also recommended which did very good scones.
Car parking in a little court yard area beside the house (split into units) was absolutely fine and no issues.
Good price for the area.
Shower pressure and temperature fine. Basic place to stay, but if you're only looking for somewhere to sleep and you're out all day then it does that. Dust in the "other places" like on extention leads behind beds, stains on the sofa and hair in drain below the plughole but the bedding was clean and Tyson was quick/no quibbles to replace towels which seemed a little dirty.
It's just a small place to stay over at a fair price for what you get.
- Zak (7/5): Perfect location to explore beaches, go for walks and breathe sea air! - Excellently located for Gwithian Beach and nearby attractions. Loved walking through the sand dunes to the sea, the Red River Inn was perfect for dinner and the Jam Pot cafe was great too. The apartment was great for my partner and I along with my parents to stay in. I feel some bare bones basics were missing from the accommodation - oil, pepper, salt, scourers, additional bin bags and dishwasher tablets (latter of which I asked for more of which they did provide to us, thank you!). To make the space even better I suggest towel hooks in bathrooms, a coffee table either side of sofa as otherwise you’re stretching over each other to reach the low table in middle. Instructions for the radiators would be helpful (we just had to poke around and hope for the best) as well as for the oven as the icons are completely rubbed off so no idea how to select the settings we needed. More wine glasses needed for 4 people (there’s only 3) and more general glass tumblers as everything was a bit mix and match, which I appreciate happens with holiday lets as things get broken etc. En suite bathroom door locks itself from the outside so we had to keep using a kebab skewer to open it - luckily no one was trapped in. It seems if you don’t unlock the door properly all the way then when you leave the en suite and close the door it then locks itself even if no one is inside to turn the lock. Small little details that I wouldn’t expect the hosts to know about unless they’re told about them so that’s why I’m putting this info here :)
- Karolina (10/5): -
- Craig (9/5): Just the break I needed. Quiet and close to beaches to go for an adventure. - Walking distance to Godrevy and local beaches. Perfect self contained property. N/A
- Naomi (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely location, very comfy beds, nice and warm in the evenings. We had a very cosy stay there.
- christopher (7/5): Great little bolthole - Great little place and close to beach Heating difficult to control either too hot or too cold
- Cheryl (10/5): Excellent quiet location. My ancestral village going back several centuries did not disappoint. - Facilities, quiet village, bus to St Ives or Truro convenient, pub grub tops. Short walk to beach. Nothing
- Diane (9/5): A perfect short break. - The property was perfect for our stay. It was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. There wasn’t anything not to like about the property although the entrance off the main road was very dark when returning to the property at night. A minor issue.
- Nicole (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): Fab - Beautiful apartment, clean and just lovely - large too, I'd live there. Hot water, enough for a bath and half a shower, thats it. The service was good (thanks Tyson!), the apartment was fab, all good. Tv on the smaller side, but a forst world problem. A few tea bags/coffee pouches would be a nice touch but no biggie. The water was a problem though
- Thomas (8/5): - Proximithy to the coast and various Cornwall locations. Newly refurbished unit. Bathroom sink. Too small and weird drain.
- John (8/5): It was great and I will hopefully be booking for next year - It was clean warm and had all that was needed No help on operating heating, cooker and the sink in the bathroom needs the drain unclogged
- Dr. MEENA (9/5): Fantastic - Beautiful location. Lovely cottage Everything was lovely
- Brigitta (8/5): - Großes Ferienhaus, toller Strand und Gehdistanz, Red Inn Pub mit tollem Essen gleich um die Ecke. Ausstattung könnte besser sein.
- Rolandas (9/5): -
- Meryem (10/5): -
- Grace (10/5): Loved it! - Super clean, great location, very good for dogs and safe! Also really quiet at night. The beds are a little small, other than that everything was great!
- Magdalena (10/5): -
- Katy (9/5): A beautiful place to stay! :) - Very comfortable , great location with a pub nearby! I think the pillows could do with an update . The only downside was the bed was not a comfortable sleep
- Howard (10/5): -
- Alison (8/5): -
- Allison (8/5): Very good - Great location for exploring south Cornwall, great walks in the doorstep and beautiful beaches. Apartment was clean and well decorated, only criticism would be new pillows for the bed
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (6/5): It was a fun time exploring the local area. - Tyson is a lovely host, very responsive and knowledgeable on surfing the local area. The place was well located to travel to various other places like St Ives, Penzance and Newquay. Accomm was very clean but older, you can feel the springs coming through the single beds in the second room. No basic supplies like washing up liquid, salt, oil etc - must bring all. Supermarkets and everything you need is only a short drive away however.
- Andrew (10/5): A clean and comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location with a lovely garden - Fantastic. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Great location and lots of space. Beautiful garden.
- Jack (10/5): Great spot, friendly host. - Tyson was a great host and eager to help out with any Qs we had. The apartment was spacious, and we loved how it was a bit off the beaten track but close enough to the beach and other cool spots. Not much really. Perhaps the bathroom could do with a revamp since water spills out a bit during a shower but honestly no biggie.
- Rosemary (10/5): Very Spacious, comfortable , pet friendly close to a beautiful beach , pub and cafes - Very spacious - well equipped kitchen- not overlooked - friendly and helpful host . Small gym facility . Serving hatch excellent for portrait japes and prompt kitchen service
- David (9/5): Most impressed with every aspect of our weeks stay at Tyrone's "get away" apartment. - Locality second to none and just mere metres from one of the best beaches in the UK .
Heavy discounted surf coaching ad and board hire.
100 metres from a family orientated pub who serve amazing food and beer.
Regular bus routes which we used most days to facilitate cliff path and beach walking to Hayle.
- Efrain (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and great communication from the owner. St. Anthony's apartment was very clean and comfortable, with great access to the beach and main cities like St Ives and Penzance. We’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend it—100%. N/A
- Rose (9/5): Perfect little getaway to celebrate my daughter’s birthday - Great location and perfect for my family Not much
- Jan (9/5): Lovely accommodation - All good Nothing
- Pritesh (10/5): Awesome experience - Wonderful and spacious property. Tyson is a wonderful host, Always available and ready to help.
- Anne (7/5): A great stay - Great location, clean surroundings. Beautiful garden, relatively close to amenities and the beach Bathroom seal was mouldy but could easily be fixed
- Meryl (10/5): Super apartment - The apartment was really lovely, spotless and very comfortable. Nothing.
- Stiliyana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Стулолицый (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (10/5): Was staying in the area for walks along gwithian and the coastal path. Gwithian holidays was a perfect hub this. - The location is exceptional. Great for a small walk to gwithian beach.
The property was perfect for a getaway. Nothing- it was perfect.
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Parish (10/5): Lovely place - Very comfortable, great location lovely pub Very friendly. lovely walk for the dog. Great value for money. we will be back next year . Everything
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - That we could come with the dog, it was quiet and we had everything in the flat. Also as described we took the footpath just pass the nursing home and we got to the beach and nature reserve, around 7 minutes walk to the beach
- Gail (10/5): Add an absolutely amazing few days away family - It was very clean modern spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. I like everything about the property
- Claire (8/5): Brilliant again - We’ve stayed here several times and love the location and the feeling of the apartment. The hosts are very helpful and the property is very safe with good parking The mattress is a little soft for our liking but that’s only a limit thing.
- Alex (9/5): fantastic location, great house and owners really helpful and easy to contact - Lovely property , superb location , 2 bathrooms which we weren't expecting. So near to pub and beaches , really helpful owners Nothing major-could not work shower in en-suite so was cold but weren't expecting a second shower so no problem! We were only there for 2 nights but for a week could have done with more glasses ( only 2 wine ones). Still will definitely come back
- Bethany (10/5): A restful stay in a lovely lodge - The lodge was very quiet and yet easy to get to. It was warm, homely and comfortable. We barely had to deal with the hosts, as everything we needed was already provided. The hosts were friendly and the accommodation was great value for money. The welcome instructions could have been slightly better laid out. It took me quite a while to find the WiFi code in them! They were very useful, however, providing good detail on the local area.
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional - The house was absolutley beautiful. I felt home from home, we travelled 8 hours to get here with three children and all of us got a very homely feel. We'll presented, well looked after and overall just beautiful. In a remote place with very little to no signal on phones again about peaceful. Cant fault the place in all honestly. We loved absolutley everything.
We found the first night absolutley freezing contacted the owner he came with logs got a fire going and omg perfect.
- Carole (10/5): Nice location & value for money for a short stay. Very clean & quiet. - Excellent location & very quiet En-suite was cold & needed some form of heating
- Kristian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): January few days away - Apartment was clean, tidy and had everything you'd need for your stay away from home. Tyson and team were available if you did need anything. The local pub was very welcoming. And the local 3mile beach was breathtaking and absolutely loved by us and our border collie. Can't think of anything that i would say was negative.
- Michelle (9/5): Last minute break - Warm and welcoming, we booked last minute and it all went smoothly. Great communication and relaxing location.
Clean, lovely layout, and size. Kitchen was perfect and dog was welcome, with plenty of room. Peaceful by night.
Everything you need for a trip.
Easy distance to beaches and cafe. Local pub in walking distance and served takeaway for us. This was amazing after a day of activity, when we just wanted to chill.
Made to feel if anything was needed someone was around.
Bins, recycling, parking and plenty of towels. Could have maybe done with a dustpan and brush, but that was about it.
A really lovely weekend. Just remember to write the WiFi code down, I forgot and so we spent the first 15 hours without our phones. To be honest this wasn't a bad thing for us and we could have asked but might be for others. No reception until you get near the beach.
Unsuite shower stayed cold, we just used the other shower.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very spacious and clean. We only stayed for one night however it had everything we needed.
- Josh (8/5): Would stay again - Comfort, spacious, relaxing, upto date Had a couple power cuts a few nights in a row and no signal whatsoever in the village, relying on WiFi which wasn’t the best in some rooms
- Jolene (10/5): Short and sweet stay - We loved how roomy and homely the property was, would 100% be back to stay again. Enjoyed our stay very much and Tyson was very helpful. Nothing
- Sophie (10/5): Great location! - Great location. Everything you need in a clean property. We have stayed here many times before ….. usually in the Summer so we are happy with the apartment. No thing to not like.
- Margaret (10/5): I small part of Heaven. - I loved it but I’ve lost my KEYS!!!
I’m home but had to hire a locksmith at 10.30pm. Can’t drive my car because keys are all together on a key ring with a beautiful, sparkling ANGEL. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN.
Maggie De Vane I loved it all
- Zena (5/5): Would not recommend - Convenient for access to work Musty smell and cold upon entering Key safe was open. Keys were in door. Door was unlocked upon adding. Tv wouldn’t work. Blind in main bedroom was broke. Light in bathroom broke.
2nd bathroom pull cord broke so couldn’t turn on lights. Hot water coming out cold tap. Cold water coming out of hot tap
- Jacqueline (7/5): Good - Gwithian is a lovely quiet (in autumn) spot. The tired apartment is in need of a deep clean (black mould in the bathroom and living room), and some useful basics in the kitchen like s&p, kitchen towel, aluminium foil etc.
- Bianca (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisa (9/5): Superb -
- Bai (9/5): Superb -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. Beautiful garden
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Baker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Great place to stay definitely coming back - No phone signal
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Saime (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacquette (8/5): Very good - Great location
Comfortable stay Shower head and adjuster needs fixing.
Clearer information on location to initially find property
- Masood (10/5): Exceptional - Didn't have an iron.
- St (9/5): Comfortable and peaceful - Had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
WIFI was good
Bed was comfortable
Nice bathroom
Plenty of space Maybe consider welcome pack for guests as there are no local amenities to buy water, tea, coffee, sugar etc
Information leaflet was difficult to read as it was typed in one paragraph in a small font.
- Martyn (8/5): Very good -
- Kathryn (9/5): Great find👍 - Lovey clean apartment, plenty of space and well equipped.
The fact that we took our beloved pug and didn't have 101 rules was lovely so thanks 👍
Nice walks and views, along the beach 15 mins away.
Nice pub 2 mins away but book if you can as it fills quickly.
The beds were very comfortable and the bedding smelled lovely 👍
A lovely stay was had at a reasonable price.
We look forward to staying again at some point 😃 The neighbours above were a little noisy.
Furniture was lovely but a cosy chair would be nice.
A blind for the kitchen window would work so as not to wake you up if you forget to shut the bedroom door at this time of year 😊
- Damian (9/5): Superb -
- Sana (9/5): Satisfied with my stay, will definitely recommend to my friends - It was a peaceful place with easy access to beaches especially Upton towans and Hayle beach.
The accommodation has all necessary facilities like fridge, stove top, toaster, microwave, oven, pans, mugs, plates, cutlery etc. I personally liked the comfy bed and easy access to the property. Just a feedback to improve
1. Add a door hook rail at the back of bathroom door to hang clothes
2. Toiletries were missing. It would be nice to put hand wash and small shower gel.
3. I would have preferred a sponge and a dishwashing liquid as personally I like washing my dishes on the spot. I had my own Tupperwares which I wanted to clean but had to wait till the last day to turn on the dishwasher so everything is washed in one go, which delayed my check out time.
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (7/5): Lovely spacious flat in great location - Good location. Spacious flat with lovely garden. Dog friendly. Tyson extremely helpful. It would have been nice to have a few essentials like washing up liquid.
- Arya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (9/5): Superb - The whole thing ,great place 😁 Nothing we did not like, really great place we have even recommended to other people
- Dhinesh10 (8/5): Very good - Good place for family to spend a weekend. Spacious and clean No holders in bathrooms and lock didn't work properly
- Maria (9/5): Perfect little place near the sea - Great location, clean and well laid out apartment. Ten minutes walk to the sea and clear instructions/info pack left with everything you may want to do/see. Nothing major: no shelves in bedroom for clothes, no hook in shower room for clothes; no broom to sweep up and no mini shampoo/soap left so couldn’t wash on arrival. Overall, great place and the above would only give a 10/10 instead of 9. I’m sure if I had asked the hosts, they would have provided as very communicative.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (8/5): Relaxing couple of nights away in a peaceful apartment - Remote location with close access to the beach. Parking, dog friendly and great instructions from owners.
- Richard (9/5): Stylish Home from Home - Stylish, eco-friendly and comfortable and in a great location near to a lovely pub and stunning coastline. The lack of a shelf in the bathroom - nowhere to put toiletries when using them at the bathroom basin. Also the lack of a soap dish in the shower.
- Cesar (10/5): Awesome - Beautiful property just 15min walking from the beach, 3min walking from the pub Property was great, nothing to complain about it but the only not so positive aspect about the stay was the nearest coffee shop walking distance opens at 10am
- Emily (10/5): Tyson is a fantastic host, he made everything easy for us. Thank you!! -
- Jason (10/5): Stayed here whilst some renovations were happening in my own house in next town. Felt like a complete holiday! :) - Peaceful setting.
- Miyallmeegan (2/5): Very poor -
- Anita (10/5): Very quiet ,friendly ,safe and relaxing - Self catering,no shops no internet, until your up high in dunes, No shop, definitely no phone signal.
- Serena (7/5): Relaxing situated in lovely quiet area - Nice kitchen for self catering, good lighting, comfortable bed and very lovely location easy to nearby places to visit. I would have liked access to table outside in the garden. To get some sun and eat outside. There were other tables chairs which belonged to other accommodations. The bench was shaded in the corner away from sunlight. An Extra pillows would have been ideal.
