Guest Reviews
- Carolyn (10/5): - The front desk lady was excellent and so welcoming! Nice room.
- Donna M (8/5): - Very quiet.
- Fiona (8/5): - My family and I (three of us) appreciated the overall tidiness and spaciousness of the room (located in the newer part of the motel). The staff were very friendly, efficient, and welcoming (both at check-in and check-out). However, the hairdryer didn’t work; so I did report that to the front desk. And there was an old bandaid on the floor by the bed when we arrived, which was a bit disconcerting but not a deal-breaker. Stuff happens. That said, everything else was quite spotless and the room surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to the #6 highway. We appreciated having a fridge and microwave as well.
- Ron (6/5): - Good basic room. Building are in need of repair and maintenance
- Leonard (8/5): - Nice place
- Kathy (6/5): - It is priced too high for a hard bed. Nice that they removed the gross carpets
- Elsa (8/5): - Very nice and clean hotel. Good service, but would of been good to shovel the snow at entrance of Lobby and rooms.
- Joyce (8/5): - No facial tissue in the room.
No tea available .
Towels were hanging on hooks. Not sure if they were used.
? If tub clean, but could have looked dull due to hard water.
- Niripjit (8/5): - clean, comfortable place for an overnight.
- Kathy (8/5): - Proximity is good for traveling this highway. The walls are paper thin. You could take part in the conversation in the next room
- Joyce (6/5): - I stayed in a 2 double beds bedroom. I had to wait 20 minutes because the room wasn’t ready, the microwave was dirty and the shared kitchen had dishes on the sink that sat there until the day I left. Also the kitchen could be cleaner. The bedroom size was good, staff was friendly.
- Murray (8/5): - Very clean and quiet. Had a great stay.
- Rose (8/5): Nice little motel - One night stay and surprisingly the room was pretty clean and still in good condition. However, better value for your bucks is to stay in the family room, which is very hard to get as they have only 4 family rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is about half an hour away from Steep Rock so for non-campers that like convenient of amenities this is a decent place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our check in wasn’t wonderful as I booked through the app at 8am and when we arrived at 2pm (which was advertised as check-in) after a 3 hour drive, they had no idea we were coming which would have been a huge let down if they didn’t in fact have any room. That being said, the rooms are exactly as advertised and much nicer than the other motels in the area. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the air conditioner was amazing, which in 30 weather was a welcome surprise.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Dirty sheets, foul smell, AC performs very poorly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really enjoyed the welcoming staff, very family friendly. They make themselves available for questions and requests. Rooms are clean and presented nicely.
- Esmeraldo (2/5): Terrible new management!!! - We started staying at this hotel last year due to business and we were surprised how accommodating and updated the place was. The previous lady manager was very kind and helpful with making sure you’re stay is peaceful and pleasant. BUT then NEW OWNERS & MANAGEMENT came in and they are TERRIBLE!!! He was so loud during the day while we’re trying to sleep because we came off night shift. Talking loudly on the phone and constantly moving in and out of all corridors. We asked if we can have a more quieter section and he said we’d have to pay extra $20 a night for the room!! Other stays, he would say the building is full and gives us a crappy unit with A/C not working during the summer, but we the parking lot had 2 cars!!!?? Other colleagues informed me too that he refused to change the dirty sheets she had when she checked in. The sheets had so many stains and luckily she had her own sheets and changed it herself. NEW MANAGEMENT does NOT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE!!! WE’LL NEVER GO BACK HERE! I rather sleep in my car than pay someone $80+ a night for crappy service! He also had the nerve to brag to my husband that he made sure he himself “ was quiet” so that my husband can sleep and that if we choose to have a later checkout, he’ll make us pay next time for his (TERRIBLE!!!) service.
- Mike (10/5): Decent place to stay - Motel was fine, staff was friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room, convenient location, and friendly staff
- Lyndon (10/5): - We really weren't expecting much when we first booked this. We knew that we probably would have stayed in worse and better, but, it was a place for us to wake up early and start a road trip refreshed. It definitely ended up being on the better side of the list. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was clean. The beds and pillows were more comfortable than places where we've paid twice as much. Even the soap and shampoo reminded me of a much more expensive hotel. If I ever need to stay in Ashern again, it will definitely be here.
- InterlakeMotel (8/5): - Renovated rooms quite spacious. Quiet area for rooms in the back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient stay - The service was good and the room was clean. Loved that it had a fridge and microwave - managed to plan our meals accordingly.
Only wish that there was also a King size bed option, and that it was quieter in the hallways - could hear people yelling back and forth (between the room and the car) when they were packing up.
But overall, no complaints!
- Mark (8/5): - Interlake is a great little place to stay when you are on the road up north. It's not fancy by any means, but I was impressed with the staff helpfulness and the cleanliness of the carpet, bathroom and fresh-smelling linens. A decent restaurant is right across the road at the Petro-Can gas station.
- Maria (8/5): - Was good for the price. Not too many options in the area, so it was acceptable.
- Bri (10/5): - Good customer service. The room was very clean. This is a good place to stop for rest.
- Jackie (6/5): - Don’t believe high-speed internet - more like dial-up.
Woman at check-in was lovely.
Otherwise - it’s good for the price
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff helpfull. Older room not from the photo. Some noise from the highway. Could hear the geese "honking".
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. Microwave and fridge in room.
- Jason (10/5): Family Trip - Very good motel, room was very large and comfortable, had a full kitchenette inside, bathroom was also nice. Good place to stop as you head down PTH 6.
- Hazel (10/5): - Staff was friendly, room was clean and had a very new feeling to it. Very quiet. Would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, and professional staff. Would highly recommend, and come back
- Dorene (10/5): Very good accomodations. We always enjoy our stay! - Friendly staff. Great parking. Convenient location. Flat-screen TV, microwave, fridge in each room. Good wifi.
- Jesse (2/5): - The only good part about this hotel is the pool. The walls have only been painted, and poorly, brush strokes on the carpet and roof, original furniture with stains in the room, mattresses from 1970. Customer service had very poor English, there was a broken mirror perched precariously from the wall begging to fall on someone. Do not stay here!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our car wouldn’t start in the morning due to the cold weather. The owners were so gracious and came to give us a boost. The rooms are so cozy, too! We would totally recommend this place if you’re in the ashern area! :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like everything about them they are my home town
- Gary (8/5): - I like everything about it fast friendly and clean close to foot and all store
- Jordan (8/5): Not so great this time, but still clean. - We have now stayed here 2 times, the first time was perfect 5/5, but this most recent time they gave away our double room prior to our arrival, I even called ahead to confirm our reservation was secured, they assured me it was and still gave my room away. we got 2 single rooms instead of our double we booked so we had to split up our kids, also one of the rooms was a smoking room which I did not appreciate. I would like the management to NOT GIVE AWAY reserved rooms in the future.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Did not stay here, several hours before my arrival i was informed that the room i was to stay in was totaly destroyed. ?????? Hours before my srtival.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Just a quickly... - It was clean and comfortable stay for we were just passing thru:-)
- Dave (8/5): - Good location. Friendly staff. Easy check in. Internet was intermittent because we were in the room farthest from the office.
- James (10/5): Great little motel! - VERY friendly staff. Very accommodating! Helpful . Clean.
- Richard (8/5): Comfortable stay - It is a typical older rural motel. It's not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. You can tell they have spent money maintaining the building.
The bathroom was a little crowded and the room only had a few electrical outlets.
The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The wifi worked well. The woman checking us in, and out the next morning, was friendly and efficient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Brand new rooms. Very spacious and clean.
