Louise (4/5): - Killed spiders in bathroom. Sheets smelled like cigarettes. Breakfast was bread or English muffin. No butter. Cereal but no milk. What a joke. And not a resort. Not even a pool!
Merlyn (4/5): - Although the staff was great, the property is old and tired. The attempt to update falls short, very short. TV did not work. Shower was barely warm. Tile floor (entire floor) was dirty (not easy to keep clean). Again, not the fault of Staff, property is just worn out!
Miranda (2/5): - The guy at check-in (9-14-24) couldn’t answer basic questions, citing “it had been a long day”. Room was full of bugs and even dirty towels in the bathroom from the stay prior. We asked about checking out before the lobby opens because of early morning plans, and was told to drop the room keys in the drop box. At check out time, we were called numerous times from the front desk mentioning we were getting charged another night. We mentioned we followed instructions of the front desk, the check-in lady on 9-15-24 said she would have to follow up with us…. 10 out of 10 won’t be staying here again, especially for $120 a night.
Verified traveler (4/5): Horseshoe Bend, AR - Stay was not too good. It appeared the bathroom in our room had been remodeled and was nice, but the carpet had not been replaced in many years. Breakfast was lack luster, pop tart and packaged honey bun. Coffee was okay.
Stephanie (2/5): - The picture that we saw did NOT remotely look like the room we got. When you opened the door, the room just smelled "old" Random mismatched bedding on the bed was odd. TV wasn't working properly. Just gave a very creepy vibe so we ended up not staying
Erling (2/5): - Upon pulling up to the hotel, cats everywhere. Was unable to pull up to front entrance because of it. We then enter our room where there are dead bugs everywhere. No toilet paper, Kleenex shoved in holder. Had to got front desk to ask for TP. Room appeared to not have been serviced! Stains on bedsheets, toilet bowl had poop all over inner rim, bugs and debris under bed, cobwebs all over, toiletries covered in filth and under chair was a spider nest and egg sacs. We asked for a new room. She grabbed her cane, pops a cigarette in her mouth, then grabs her electric cart to show us another room. This room was worse….live bugs crawling all over! She tells us if we want to go somewhere else she can reimburse our stay. Mentioned another hotel/resort down the road but have a minimum night requirement. Also informed us that they let maintenance guy go and some cleaning staff go the previous day and therefore closed their other building. With no choice we stayed the night after running to the Family Dollar to buy new bedding/pillows and cancelled our 2nd night. We avoided the continental breakfast which consisted of cereal thrown in Tupperware containers. The whole experience was so repulsive, could not even sleep with fear of bugs all over. This hotel needs to be shut down. Never have we experienced something so horrific!!!!!!

Eric (4/5): - Very outdated. No 24 hours staff. We were the only ones there aside from a vehicle with all the windows busted out and two men staring us down as we went into our room. Bugs on the floor and in the bathroom. Stains on the top bed cover. Felt eerie enough for us to leave and go home at 11 pm.
Tammy (6/5): - I stayed for an overnight in the offseason so many of the advertised amenities were not available (understandably so). Staff at checkin was very nice. Older decor, rooms could use an update.

Juanice (8/5): - Although an obviously older facility, it was clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby being closed from 8:00pm to 8:00am was a little inconvenient, but we knew that ahead of time and they accommodated our late arrival. The breakfast wasn't served until 8:00 so our early start made us miss it. Again, we knew that ahead of time. We will definitely stay there again.

Our room had no air conditioning until maintenance personnel got it going. The hotel looked much better on line than in person. Room and bathroom should of been cleaner.

Verified traveler (4/5): In the middle of nowhere - Seemed to be vacant for a long time. There were dead and alive bugs everywhere, cob webs, no hot water and no extra sheets for pull out bed. Front desk was helpful and was accommodating.

Key stopped working, no one was working the desk so had to call someone in. No breakfast. Ironing board, but no iron. When asked for an iron, was told they didn’t have one. For the price and being called a “resort”, I expected more. The tub was nice.

Young man at desk gave me name for local restaurant for breakfast! The restaurant was Calabama and the breakfast was great and cheap and the service was excellent! My friends and I enjoyed our visit to Horseshoe Bend!!

Wendy (8/5): - This is a unique place to stay. It may not have all the modern day comforts of some hotels but it has a friendly staff that will do all they can to help, especially if you ask. We enjoyed our stay.

Larry (2/5): - Daily room housekeeping was non-existent. Breakfasts included out of date items. 3 night stay, no clean sheets, coffee was used first night not replenished til last night. Small bar of soap was all we had during entire stay. No phone in room to reach front desk, (not sure if there was an attendant overnight. My wife is handicapped and we requested a handicapped accessible room that's the only thing that was right. Totally bad experience. We would like a refund.
Holly (2/5): Very bad experience - Room was smelly and air conditioner screeched and knocked. Spoke to the office, they couldn’t of cared less. Finally moved us to another room, the small fridge knocked. Didn’t get much sleep the 2 days I was there. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
heather (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel amazing staff willing to work with you. Beautiefull views golf course they are remodeling hotel but only during day looks as if they keep going it will be so much nicer. The rooms are nice but still need some work the rooms are so clean. We accidently got over booked for our room so they cleaned the room again and let us use the room and gave us a discount.
Billy (6/5): - Arrived late and lobby closed at 8 pm. No key in the late check in box. Called the number posted on lobby door. Got a voice mailbox. Had to call the emergency maintenance number. When staff arrived they were very apologetic and helpful. Said they had not received our reservation from Expedia. We always use Expedia and have never had this happen. Hotel staff said they have problems with reservations often. I would encourage calling the hotel to confirm before driving way out into the backwoods where the hotel is located.

J (8/5): For our needs. - It worked very well for our Thanksgiving trip needs. Loved the room floor plan. Nice tile work in the bathroom. The tub/shower fixtures are cheap and don't work very well, but we survived. If you need a 24-hour desk/office it's not your place. Limited office hours. But it worked for us and we will use again.
David (8/5): Nice Hotel in Ozarks - Had a nice overnight stay. Friendly staff, spacious room & bathroom, clean. Had a golf course & golf clubs if guests wanted to play a Par 3 course--nice touch.

Ronald (4/5): - It appeared there was only one other guest at the hotel and much of it appeared to be abandoned or under renovation. The remote didn't control the TV so we had to use the well hidden buttons under the set to operate it. The mini-fridge clattered all night. I would have unplugged it except there was no place to eat nearby so we had to keep food in the fridge. No Wifi in the room and no breakfast. The only good thing about it was a newly remodeled bathroom.

Verified traveler (10/5): Total surprise after reading prior reviews... - I was skeptical as to what I would find as a few prior reviews were not very good. However, it is the only facility in the town my aunt lives in so felt I didn't have much choice. I was not disappointed at all. The room was very clean, I'm guessing recently renovated. Lovely bathroom, lots of mirrors which some motels are shy on, and the pleasant surprise of a lovely ceiling fan which I've never seen in a motel. We arrived very late and our key was left in an outbox so we were able to stay without a formal check in. Will definitely stay again.
