Guest Reviews
- Curtis (6/5): - This should be listed as a extended stay because they don't have ice machine, clean the room or give you fresh clean washcloths and towels, no hangers for clothes or iron or ironing board
- Keith (8/5): - Comfortable, easy access and good price for a night passing thru town.
- dita (8/5): - This is a property where people stay long term, it seemed to be high traffic during the daytime.
- TIMOTHY (8/5): - I liked that the room had a kitchenette. I didn't like that none answered the phone during business hours, nor called me back, so I could verify that they received my room keys. ( I had to leave before they opened, and there was no drop box to put the keys.
- Audrey (8/5): - Very clean, and a good basic hotel for our one night stay. For long term stay, you would need to bring your own utensils etc. for kitchenette.
- Whitley (6/5): It was an ok stay - It was ok as far as cleanliness but it had water coming from under the wood floors in the room I was in.
- Renata (10/5): - Nice staff
- Preston S (10/5): - It was great. Nice room
- Renata (10/5): - Very friendly staff…room was clean…easy check-in
- Elsa (10/5): - The management and staff were wonderful. They tried to get Orbitz to reduce my stay because I did not need to stay for three nights... Only two nights. Management worked with Orbitz, but Orbitz stated mombo-jumbo about not being able to reduce the one day. I did get traveler's insurance and Orbitz could not or would not allow. Orbitz stated that they tried to contact me by phone. I did not get any calls from Orbitz. My beef is with Orbitz
- Raven (10/5): - The cleanliness was breathtaking. I would definitely recommend. For the price... You can't go wrong.
- Valkyr (10/5): - The room was really good for a business person or a student. It was smart modern simple and clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was convenient and had a lot of restaurants nearby. It smelled like smoke even in the non-smoking rooms. The second room we had looked like there had been an altercation, as the door wouldn't close easily. The rooms didn't seem that clean. The entire staff was wonderful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - was a bit expensive. parking lot needs more lights
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good staff ...great people living in hotel...close proximity to all ways imaginable
- Tracy (10/5): - I had an amazing stay. Wasnt too noisey. Friendly staff. My room was extremely clean. I had a very pleasant stay. This my #1 place to stay when im in town. Love the fact that the pricing is very reasonable even for a long stay. The rooms also have a small kitchenette. Just love it!!
- Mary (2/5): - Although the room was clean, there were little roaches everywhere. This was the nosies hotel/motel I have ever stayed at. People visiting in the halls and outside our windows until after 5 AM. No sleep. I will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I've stayed at this location before, but never had this room. It was roach infested. In my past stays, i have never seen one of their rooms in such a condition. My time here was so relaxing, peaceful, and so quiet. I had a good night's sleep. I will go back for a stay, not to the room i was placed in. I hope the pest can be eliminated. From my room, my parking space and front desk was only a short distance. The hotel staff is always so nice. I cant wait to book another stay. They make you feel right at home. A home away from home.
- Joshua (8/5): No complaints - The staff was awesome. I was coming in late and they actually called me to tell me that their office is only open for certain hours, but they left my room keys with the night security... and I was able to get in no problem. The night security Pat was extremely friendly and professional. The price was excellent for my 2 days there. Overall, for the price I paid for my room... I am extremely happy with my stay. It’s not the newest and nicest hotel, but if you want a 5 star hotel then go pay 5 star hotel prices. I wanted a clean bed to sleep in, a hot shower with clean towels, and an AC to keep me cool. I got everything I wanted and needed so it was a Win Win.
- Verified traveler (2/5): overbooked and left with no room - I booked two nights at this hotel to escape the hurricane (Hurricane Delta). I booked this room several nights prior. When I showed up to check in, I was told the hotel overbooked and no longer had a room for me. I contacted the booking agency and was NOT relocated; therefore, I had no shelter during the hurricane other than my car. In addition, my money that I prepared the rooms with was not refunded
- Jack (4/5): - They need to hit that place because they have a lot of cockroaches
- Chuck (2/5): - Doesn’t seem safe at all. Lots of noise. Did see syringes and needles.
- michael (8/5): - Overall great place. Had some longer term rentals that were a bit noisy.
- Edris (10/5): Pleasant stay - My stay was good as always friwndly and helpful staff i would definitely recommend anyone wjo hasn't syayed at one of the siegel selects to if that they're on business or just a simple get away for some fresh air that it would be a great choice
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was well appointed and the staff were friendly even when I set off the smoke alarm while I was cooking a couple steaks.😜
- Tracy (10/5): Enjoyable Stay!! - Only my second visit. I love the location. Gas station, local grocery store, an ATM, and many restaurants close by. I love that they have high speed Wi-Fi for staying guests. My check in was quick and the desk clerk was extremely friendly and adept at her job.I love that they have a small kitchenette in their rooms and a regular sized refrigerator. The staff let guests have their privacy. Great place for families and dogs. Don't think any other pets are allowed. Will definitely visit again.
- Tracy (10/5): Wonderful Stay!! - I had done a review previously. I really enjoyed my stay. The room looked almost exactly as advertised. I picked this hotel because of the location. The rooms also contained a small kitchenette. Since my stay was during the holidays, I wanted to cook also. It was a very convenient location since there was a grocery store, gas station, and a Dollar Tree located right up the street. The hotel staff was extremely nice and welcomed my stay. One of the staff members asked if I needed help bringing in my bags. They have a list of rules that you have to follow because people also use this hotel as their home. Accommodations are awesome. They have vending machines, soda machines, elevators, and a laundry mat. Parking lot spaces are pretty wide. Rooms were extremely clean. Bed was comfortable. My room was huge for only a one person stay. Since my stay was booked for a couple of days, I asked not to be disturbed until my time was up. Most places I visit, the staff has often walked into my room while I was still in bed and well before checkout time. I really enjoyed my stay. When I go on vacation this summer, I definitely plan to book my stay here. Can't wait. Great place to bring the family because it is pet friendly also. I was too excited to take pictures. Will do next time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Manager was really nice and room was great. Definitely will go back again when in Alexandria again
- Philip (2/5): - Limited check in beware!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never booked here! - Very horrible smell. No TV . Low wifi . We get non smoking Room when we get there in our room its smell cigarettes and no Towel. Never again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Get what you pay for, if you book it online with the convenience fee it makes the price not worth it.
- Chasitie (4/5): Beware - Blood on toilet , people running through halls, hollering, beating on walls, halls reeked of smoke and wet clothes... room was ok.
- Ross (8/5): - Clean, quiet, off a main strip in Alexandria. Staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Getto - Dangerous place. Stay away.
- Nelda (2/5): - WE CHECKED OUT RATHER THAN STAY, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
- Robert (4/5): You get what you pay for. - The room would never cool off. Walls are thin, you can hear other people talking. Perhaps it was in the fine print, but I was not aware that they did not provide soap and shampoo like most hotels. This appears to be a very low-cost extended stay hotel. Towels were very thin and had dark handprints. Hopefully, they were just stained. After showering I walked across the floor barefoot (laminate wood flooring) and I could see the dirt on the bottom of my feet. Area was decent. Security guard provided overnight as the lobby closes down.
- Jazzie (8/5): Good sleeping spot - We were in town for my college graduation at LSUA. The place was clean and decently maintained, the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. The only issues that I had with the place is that there was no remote for the TV that we could find and that the service desk kept limited hours and seems to be short staffed. When we arrived, we had to wait about 20 minutes or more for the girl to arrive to get us checked in, and when we went to check out, the front desk didn't open until 9am and we had to come back to the hotel after graduation to be able to turn in keys and check out. It is a good little hotel for long-term stays as it's got a full kitchen included and the price is good as well. I would still stay there again despite the service desk issues.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was no ice machine, no iron. Shower water pressure was very low and water was only luke warm.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible stay - My stay was horrible wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody not even my Dog!! Smelt so bad of cigarettes throughout the whole building to the point my nose was burning when I got in my room I had burn holes all over my comforter and also smelt like pure cigarettes even though I was in a non smoking room. Towels where dirty. I was to the point I almost just slept in my truck. Also people walking around the building around the vehicles in the parking lot yelling outside just didn’t feel safe at all in that hotel. Had to keep looking out the window checking my vehicle. Don’t ever stay here!!
- Peggy (10/5): Loved it - Was very satisfied
- Robert (8/5): - I got the room for my birthday and had some family over.. We had a good time but the staff was not as friendly as they could have been...
- Gwen (8/5): cleanliness of room - cleanliness of room. It was nice. Great location
- Megan (2/5): Terrible. - When we arrived at 3:40 (check in started at 3) the receptionist was on lunch, then one of our rooms smelled like an ashtray, we were assured that it was a non smoking facility ( guess they thought that would make me less angry) and the noise was unbearable all night long. From furniture being rearranged to loud neighbor discussing issues loudly on the phone till 3 am. Just overall not a good place to stay so you get what you pay for.
- Jonathan (2/5): No front desk=no check in - Front desk closed early so I never even got to the room. Yet, I was charged for my room anyway. I’d say that anytime there is an unmanned front desk to stay away. Besides no one being there to check you in, if you have any issues on your stay absolutely no one will be there to help you. So basically you’re on your own IF you even get to check in.
- Nunya (10/5): - Good hotel for.a good rate. Nice staff. Tryna make the 50 character limit
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst place ever - I was there to just get sleep and as soon as I got there I took a shower and someone tried to come in but I had the metal lock on and they started trying to say they were security. Nobody was there at the front desk overnight so I couldn’t call to see who it was and they weren’t in the peep hole. I immediately left since I didn’t feel safe.
- Tammy (8/5): - It was ok just a few strange people out in the loby
- Jacquelyn (6/5): - Had to request clean towels. This place is not really a hotel. Asked for extra pillow and got one but no case for it. Staff was friendly but not very knowledgable. Did not expect a lot of frills but I was told I had to carry dirty towels to front desk to get clean ones? Not sure I would stay there again.
- Stephanie (4/5): - No coffee pot in room , reserved smoking and got non smoking.
- Marvin (2/5): Poor hotel in good part of town - Dirty floors. Towels were not cleaned properly. Bed was uncomfortable. We did not stay long before we left. Was going to ask for a refund, but desk clerk was not available.
- Lea (10/5): Perfect! - Wonderful hotel. Stay here every time I come to town on business.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs improvement - Was short on basic things. Key maker was down, had to be let in the room every time for 3 days. Room had no hair dryer, phone or remote control. Only 1 light switch worked. Short on towels. Significantly worse than the last few times I stayed.
- Anthony (6/5): - I booked the room because the customer reviews were excellent. They have since 'changed' or been updated and I suspect they had the wrong reviews with this hotel. Originally it was a 4.5 customer stay. How it is 2.3. Check in was fine and room was okay, but it is a 'welfare' and lower income extended stay hotel. Not a place for the road weary couple looking for a nice place. People who worked there were fine, helpful, but the girl checking us in seemed a bit confused why we were there. Had to sign a 'lease' for one night. Not the stellar hotel I had read about from previous customers.
- Charles (10/5): - Great stay great service
- Stacy (6/5): - We would have enjoyed a king size bed instead of a full. The pillows left alot to be desired but overall it was a nice stay.
- La Tonya (8/5): Family Planning ❤️ - Great
- Kew (8/5): Comfortable hotel but may run across a few roaches - Roach was in my room. After killing that one never seen anymore my entire stay. Room was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Can’t expect the world for the price I paid - When I came into my room. It hasn’t been sweep there was trash in my restroom. My light over the stove was hanging. My door was coming apart And very little lightning in the room. They had not replace the bulbs that went out
- Melissa (2/5): - Tv was broke in first room. Moved to another room floor so dirty my grand baby was filthy from crawling and walking on it.
- Todd (4/5): Not a great stay - There were cockroaches in the room, the floors had a stickiness to them, there was mold around the base of the tub, the water pressure was pretty dismal, the A/C had to be set on 66 to achieve 74 in the room, no comfort ammeneties, the sheets and comforter didn't appear very clean, the pillows were horribly uncomfortable, and the walls are very thin. The good things are the price is reasonably low, a full size refrigerator, and a stove and microwave in the room. This is a place where people appear to stay when working in town. Some of the crowd hanging around the property is sketchy looking. Even the desk clerk closes a security gate at the counter after dark. If you need a room, there are way better places and way worse. It's mediocre at best.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Everything about this place is horrible. The refrigerator door was covered in rust, the room smelled so bad. To top it off, the only 2 irons and ironing boards for the entire hotel and they had no clue where they were. At night, the front desk closes their gate and you have to deal with them a phone call. This place sucks!
- Tammy (8/5): - The staff did a good job working with the over flow of people that came in late at night. They did a good job accommodating all of the guests even though they were short staffed the night we stayed. I will stay again on our way back thru.
- Verified traveler (2/5): What a mess. - Filthy hotel. Upon check in we were given keys to one occupied room and keys to another room that did not work. It literally took half an hour to straighten the mess out. Slow elevator, lights flickered and the tile floor in the room hasn’t been cleaned in a while.
- KATHERINE (4/5): flower trip - first I checked in with a hold on my credit card to pay when I arrived. I was told they had charged my card. not right. I booked two queen size beds and only got one double bed. was told they don't have queen size, not what I booked per the website. should not show available if they don't even have them. in the end I did have a place to stay, good thing it was just for a few hours. probably will not use them again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean/Compassionate Receptionist - Clean spacious hotel. Kind staff and good location.
- Kelley (2/5): - Took 45 minutes to check in. Had 6 rooms.we are a college tennis team with men and women. No Lobby, kids waited outside in the cold. Rooms were dirty. Some drunk man had a key to one of my girls rooms and came in at 12:30 am and scared them to death. Used the bathroom and left. Could of been really bad situation. They are traumatized now about staying in hotel. Drunk people cussing and bringing in open beer bottles and harassing my team. Actually witnessed a fight in the parking lot. Worst hotel and situation I have been in the 17 years I have coached.
- Akeia (10/5): it was ok for the price - the front desk attendant was very helpful and polite here. the property could use a little work however the room was exceptional for the price i paid. i’d stay here again
- Brandi (8/5): - My overall experience was great
- Willis (4/5): Horrible - Very dirty rooms and property. Extremely loud all night and the beds smell as if they have not been washed, ever. I will not recommend or stay here ever again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room smelled like someone had lived there for a month and nothing had been cleaned once they left. The floors were sticky, there were about four sheets of toilet paper left on the roll and there was not an extra roll, the toilet was dirty and the toilet seat was left up, the bed cover was so stained that the cream color was brown on both beds, the remote to the tv did not work, and the heater blew cold air (even when on the heat setting.)
- Alex (10/5): Cheap affordable hotel - Although the whole building smelled like smoke, that doesn’t take away from the fact everyone was so nice. I had a really great experience and if I needed anything the staff was more than willing to assist me
- Joel (2/5): No pillows or towels, ac broke - No wake up call
Terrible
Not suggest , front desk couldn't get anything but towels, no ac or heat, would not suggest.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth 20 bucks... - Front guest nice. That is all. No towels, hard bed, dirty floor. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- Paul (8/5): Home Town Studios Overnight Stay was Okay but Loud - Hotel was okay to stay in. It was a little scary when we arrived and had a vagrant come up to us asking for money. We arrive at about 10:45 p.m. and had to use the wall phone to call the clerk who was 6 feet away behind a closed metal curtain. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the noise level was high with cars running outside and doors slamming in the early morning.
- Donna (2/5): didn't stay - it took 45 minutes to check in. the staff were nice and kept apologizing, but did not know how to check in someone who prepaid for the room. the room itself was disappointing. the refrigerator was in terrible condition, the bathroom was not something I would take a shower in. the room had a rack to hang clothes but no closet and the rack had a dirty film and no clothes hangers. I will take responsibility in not checking out the information related to the hotel before I purchased, but this is not a place that you want to stay.
- Mildred (4/5): - The hotel was cheap but they did not even have an iron in the room. We had a stove but no pots or pans, I will not stay there again!!
- Roosevelt (4/5): Towels - Towels were all stained black I was afraid to use. I mentioned it upon check out and was told they get a lot of construction workers and the mud is hard to get out of the towels. If you can't use the towels what good is the room.
- Eve (2/5): Filthy towels and sheets. - The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The sheets and towels were filthy. Including a towel that had makeup on it.
- Letta (2/5): Roach motel - Room was not clean. Floor was nasty. Roaches in dresser. No dishes. No maid service. No ice. Room was smelly. The microwave was all burned inside.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty - My stay there was not what I expected it to be. The first night was horrible, there were roaches coming out the woodwork. We asked the front desk for spray to kill them but they didn't have any. We had to go to the store to get some so we sprayed and that made it worse. We were moved to another room which was better but looks can be deceiving when booking online.
- Anonymous (2/5): - THE ABSOLUTELT WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! The mini fridge was rusty, there was a dead spider hanging from the light, there were brown stains on the bed covers.
This place does not deserve the ratings that it has.
- Peggy (10/5): Good Review - It was very nice. Staff was excellent. Cleanliness was not that good. Sheet had a hole in it. Bed spread on fold out bed had blood on it. Other than that everything was OK. Oh side door to parking lot stayed broken. Reported to staff but still broken when we left.
- Roxi (6/5): Nice for the price and close to stores.. - Everything was fine except I ran out of toilet paper first night it wasn't a full roll then I needed 2 more towels and they told me I need to bring the old one....when I first arrived there they had about 5 men standing in the front of the building drinking beer but they moved rather quickly.
- Colleen (8/5): Great rate for an extended stay in Alexandria - Was travelling to Alexandria to see if we wanted to relocate to this area. We got into town early the night before, and the staff were very accommodating about allowing us to check in early. The room rate was inexpensive, so we were able to extend our trip a bit. While there might have been some upgrades that could be done on the room, it was still an acceptable, clean room. Everyone there was very friendly, and we felt like we got a great deal for our stay. Would go back again.
- Kevin (4/5): - The room had several roaches crawling everywhere. Room wasn't bad except for that. And gentleman at front desk was very nice and refunded our money so we could leave and find a different hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - it could be cleaner , it is around a lot of food places however
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room had terrible odor, especially for a non-smoking room, making the room very uncomfortable to sleep in
- Laquisha (6/5): - They didn't have any clean, smoking rooms. Had to wait on the front desk person to finish his cigarette for 5 minutes after I walked in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Relaxation - Is was a good stay quiet and convenient
- moe (4/5): Junk - People were yelling in the hall. Tv didn't work I asked them to fix it or swap it. They said they would and didn't. Room a roaches. Overall junky hotel.
- Kattie (4/5): - the hotel is pretty sketchy. the rooms were a little dirty. the lock on the door was broken. i was only staying a few hours while passing through.
- Michael (4/5): Surprisingly unclean - Very unclean....hallways, room, lobby...unsatisfactory
- Verified traveler (4/5): - noisey at night I had no hot water so I did nit take a shower
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location - Nice would recommend has everything you need convenient to everything
- Alexis (4/5): Too little too late - Spent the night at Hometown Suites in Alexandria,La . Was staying another night ,yet they added 20 dollars to my bill for not letting them know by 11:30. (It was 12:00 )I had let housekeeping know. The rooms are way overpriced too.
to pay 20 extra when I was staying another nigh
- Verified traveler (2/5): I'm not staying here! - We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. First of all, I didn't feel safe within my surroundings there. Whenever we checked in, we went to our room and gave it a once over and booked another hotel. There was hair under the bed spread, cigarette holes in the bed spread, a ring around the toilet, mildewed shower curtains and only 2 hand towels were located in the room. There were no wash cloths, or bath towels. The two towels that was located there weren't clean. I couldn't fathom having my family staying there so we went to a much nicer hotel. In addition, this room was equipped with a kitchenette. There were no pots or pans, dishes or utensils to use. However, if those items were there, I wouldn't have used them to cook anything anyway. The stove was disgusting! I think it's time for an overhaul for this hotel.
- Kim (2/5): VERY DISSATISFIED - We had reservations for 3 nights. We checked out early, stayed 1 night. Was told it was OK and would be refunded the other 2 nights. Still waiting. The room had no TV or phone. Towels were stained and looked dirty. The noise from the street and other guests continued all night. Smelled in the hallway. Next door room looked like it was kicked in. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
- Jadrian (6/5): - Faucet dripping, floor was unclean. Comforter had burn holes in it. Otherwise, it was fine.
- not happy (2/5): Couldn't check in. - How can you rate a hotel when there is no one to answer or check you in when you arrive forcing you to get another more expensive room?
- C (8/5): Simple. Clean. Cheap. - Great Television channel options. Fresh towels. Kind staff.
Very reasonable nightly rates.
