• Elizabeth (7/5): Good place to stay for the money - I did not eat breakfast at the hotel. It is ok food but I don't care for the coffee. I went to the grocery store and got food. Very basic food. not a lot of nutritional value in the food served. The fridge in the room froze my food, the tv choices were terrible, but for the money and proximity to the show i was vending at it was fine. It was clean, safe and basic. I was not paying for 5 star service. It was small town nebraska fine.

• Connie (5/5): I've stayed here in the past, but definitely feel the quality and ROI has significantly declined. - Breakfast was good day one, but day two had issues. Coffee was out, only toast available (no French toast), no fruits. Would have appreciated a little more variety. The fact my credit card paid for someone else's room, and then I was charged for my room in addition. In total, I was charged over $900 for two nights, and have yet to be reimbursed for the incorrect charge of over $600!

• Peg (1/5): Unhappy stay. - The location. The room was not clean, we arrived at 10:30 and I asked for a discount because we had a family member at the hospital. No consideration at all. There were rocks in the carpet. The cabinet under the sink had broken chips (I have pictures) that weren't cleaned up. The breakfast was the worst we have had in years at a hotel stay. I realize you were busy, but you knew that. Why weren't you prepared? I will be calling the manager to ask for some of our money to be refunded.

• Amy (2/5): Personally, I would never stay here again. - It looks nice on the outside, well maintained on the outside and plenty of parking. Conveniently located within walking distance of some restaurants, a grocery store and downtown businesses. The bed was definitely not a queen, it was only a full size bed. The bedding and pillows reeked of someone’s sweaty, nasty body odor. The bed was very uncomfortable. The chairs in the room are just aching to fall apart by all the wiggling and squeaking they did when we sat in them. They provide one tiny little pouch of shampoo and conditioner, there were 2 of us, no way we were going to be able to both take showers if we had wanted to. The room looked like it had been made to look as though it had been cleaned. However, the coffee station was dusty and had hair on the cups. The bedding looked dinghy and as i said earlier smelt pungent of horrible body odor. Upon arrival the staff was basically just wandering around doing nothing. I tried to find someone to ask some questions later in the evening and no one was around. Or else they were hiding. Yet at 3:30ish am, they were out in the hallway talking loudly.

• Steve (8/5): It is close to where my sister lives and is priced reasonable enough. - The only good thing about the breakfast is the juices and the self make waffles. Don't provide hot items like french toast, eggs, those items are horrible and were not fit to eat - disgraceful to provide them to your clients.. Waffles are fine. I would suggest only bacon, sausage, or ham for hot items so long as they can be kept warm.

• Verena (8/5): zweckmäßige, saubere Unterkunft für die Durchreise. - Die ruhige und zentrale Lage in der Nähe zum Monument war sehr gut. Das Frühstück gab es auf Porzellan Geschirr und richtiges Besteck. Der Außenbereich hat zum Verweilen eingeladen mit einem klein Pavilon. Gute Restaurants für das Abendessen sind nur im Nachbarort zu finden. Das Frühstück wurde leider nicht nachgefüllt, Die Rühreier waren waren trocken und wurden nicht aufgefüllt. Im Eingangsbereichhat es am Abend stark nach Essen/Küche gerochen, wenn das Personal sich Essen zubereitet hat. Das fand ich sehr störend.

Walking distance from Main Street. lovely people. no elevators but that is okay since it is an older building.

• Alejandro (10/5): - I wasn't expecting a top notch 5 Star ⭐ hotel because of the low grade it has and the many bad comments.It appears the hotel is understaffed. My room smelled as if a dog had a real big bowel movement and the carpet wasn't deodorizer. apparently the hotel was full and I couldn't get another room. I slept really happy and comfortable in total silence despite the stench. The walls are not sound proof but the entire night was quiet. I woke up a bit late, but within the breakfast time. There was no food for me, that really was unfortunate. The regular coffee was out but the decaf was delicious. Again the hotel was sold out during my stay. Thehotel is extremely clean and the washer and dryer work perfectly fine. It's 2 dollars per cycle, that is okay. Everyone is courteous and really friendly. Everyone working there goes out of their way to make sure the guests receive 5 Star service. No pool here but it does have a fitness center/ The machines wor it's a pretty cool There is a market across the street, the civic center is on the same corner. A Catholic Church is two streets away and a bowling alley is also near. A subway sandwiches shop is a few minutes walk. The amphitheater is also near. A bakery and bar, a gas station are within walking distance. My room has a kitchenette. The toilet is a tall one. No bathtub but the shower is splendid. • Lolita (6/5): Looks are deceiving - Wanted to watch the local channels. No instructions on how to obtain. After trying several times, tried calling the front desk. The phone in the room didn’t work. Called from my cell & explained the issue. The gal noted there had been a report of local channels being out. The earliest of would be fixed would be after we left. The mattress was so worn you rolled to the center. The commode in the bathroom was loose & low to the ground. Soap dispenser didn’t work at all. Overall, it looks clean…but I would not recommend it!

• JANICE (2/5): - Checked me into room 103; which after I had showered and prepared for bed, I found had a window that did not lock even though it showed locked and also a broken screen. They had nothing to remedy it - actually brought me a broken plastic food tray, which, even if we put it in there, left a gap that anyone could’ve climbed through and most likely would have shattered had the window been slammed against it. As I was on the ground floor, I had to demand a different room. She did not offer to help me move rooms and said that the room was inspected every day (but that is hard to believe since screen appeared to have been broken for some time). Super disappointed, expect to be out here yearly and had hoped I found a gem. The outside door nearest me propped open by a rock, and when I asked if they had security or someone who walked through to check, she said the rock had a purpose to hold down some plastic?? Did not see any plastic. Wish I’d just demanded my money back as it appears the town has plenty of rooms available. Safety is more important than saving a few dollars! She took pictures of the window and screen so I did as well, but I don’t see a way to post those for you. Thought that seemed a little ridiculous to waste my time telling me she’s going to take care of it. And with so few guests, customer service is definitely lacking. Makes me sad, 40 years ago, I was the night clerk at a hotel in Omaha NE and customer service was number one.

• Denise (6/5): Beds are too hard - Facility was clean. Windows could be opened (but there was a lot of traffic noise). Breakfast was good. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Added fees that were not disclosed at the time of booking. The facility claimed they had told booking.com that their listing had incorrect taxes/fees shown. Since the facility was supposedly aware of this, they could have sent me a message in advance informing me of the change to my total bill in advance of our arrival. Instead they waited until we were checking in. Highly unlikely to use booking.com in the future due to the changing of prices and their total failure in implementing their price match policy. I happened to notice that booking.com had a price $10 per night lower than what I had booked it at. Rather than just canceling and rebooking, I asked them to match their own new price. I got an immediate reply saying someone would get back to me within 24 hours. Instead it was about a week until I got a message and by then the price had gone back up. Then to add "insult to injury", the facility added undisclosed fees at check-in as mentioned. The sum of all the pricing shenanigans only amounted to paying around $35 more than I feel we should have been charged for our two nights, but will leave me unlikely to use booking.com in future.

• Linda (7/5): Not happy with desk help!! - Room was clean and comfortable. They charged our credit card twice for our stay. After explaining it to the desk person, they agreed they did that. They said they would call their office and get back to us. They did not come to our room, we had to go back to the front desk to find out what they were going to do. The next day they told us they credited our card back and that it would take up to 5 days to get the money back. We told them we had planned on using that money for a family dinner. Their answer was that they did all they could. On top of this, we went for breakfast and the food was all we had waited for them to put more out and then we finally gave up and went out to eat.

The breakfast was scrambled eggs, French toast or a waffle. However, the waffle mix came after we ate breakfast. No yogurt available. I’ve stayed there before and was very disappointed this time
• Brian (8/5): Sleep Optional, Sustainability Mandatory - The eco-friendly vibe was okay but the fan/AC sounded like a deck of cards caught in a bicycle wheel, which is great for a midnight percussion concert, not so great for sleep. 🌿 Also, 4 guests apparently only deserve 3 towels. Next time, I’ll bring earplugs and my own towel. 😊
