Robert (9/5): Peaceful holiday escape a short walk from the beach - Stunning collection of small cottages set in amongst the palm trees, a short walk from the beach. We stayed for one night and took a morning dolphin watching trip which was amazing! The staff were friendly and arranged transport to our next stop as well. The swimming pool was a welcome bonus too! The room was air conditioned, but we were only given a sheet for bedding. Woke up very cold during the night. Otherwise the room was great though!
Thomas (5/5): Es war okey aber wir würden nicht erneut dort buchen. - Es ist alles wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Das Zimmer war sauber. Der Pool lädt zum Baden ein und ist ebenfalls sauber. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal ist grundsätzlich freundlich. Der Manager war ebenfalls sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemüht den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Die Bungalows könnten noch etwas gemütlicher eingerichtet werden. Da Wände und Boden alles weiss ist, wirkt es etwas steril. Zusätzliche Deko, Bilder oder farbliche Akzente würden dies auflockern. Leider waren auch keine Nachttischlampen vorhanden. Das Badezimmer ist für eine offene Dusche etwas zu klein. Das Personal war teilweise etwas unerfahren und unbeholfen, sie waren auch wegen fehlender Englisch-Kenntnisse stets auf den Manager angewiesen.
Louise (9/5): Beautiful pool, lovely food - The pool is great - very relaxing swimming in such a beautiful environment. The covered terrace with ceiling fan outside our room a good place to watch the bird and butterflies and read a book. The Sri Lankan rice and curry dinner was exceptional- highly recommended. Friendly staff. The beach is littered with plastic waste - this is common throughout Sri Lankan (and I appreciate most areas do not have a rubbish collection service) but it’s a shame hotels and guest houses can’t join forces to clean up beaches. The lack of rubbish collection means that most waste is burnt unfortunately. The staff are really friendly and willing to help but it would be good if they could have some basic hotel training as it was apparent they didn’t always know what to do, how to serve guests etc.
PATHMANATHAN (10/5): Peerfekte 2 Tage im Urlaub - Es war sehr ruhig. Pool war gut. Essen war lecker insbesondere der Grill Abend. Es gab Fish und Lobster. Sehr sehr nettes Personal.
Alison (8/5): Wonderful location, place overall needs a bit of TLC but happy to recommend - Wonderful location, pretty grounds among the palm trees, staff very friendly, we were lucky enough to have the resort pretty much to ourselves as was low season. Definitely recommend going dolphin watch if you arrive in season, it was wonderful. Property can arrange or book yourself with nearby providers on the beach. The typical wet room situation in Sri Lanka which isn’t great, plusthenearby beach was a bit spoiled by plastic ( not their fault).a few niggles about the general upkeep of the rooms.
Alison (9/5): Fabulous resort, definitely recommend. - Wonderful beach bungalows, each with own patio and seating. Great swimming pool, cleaned daily, and lots of space in the garden. Easy walk to the beach. Staff very helpful and kind, owner drove us to Wilpattu and helped with getting tuktuk, they had no beer in the restaurant but got some in for us on request. They offer western breakfast but the Sri Lankan breakfast is a far better choice - a real feast. Don’t miss the dolphin watching if in season - it’s incredible! They can arrange at the resort. It needed a bit of TLC/ maintenance (e.g. loose toilet seat, missing light bulb, some electric sockets not working). Not much choice in the restaurant. We thought somewhat on the more pricey side .

Thavarajah (3/5): Disappointed. - Nothing Family room Bathroom water heater was out of order. With two families three babies no baby cot was available. Over charged for food. Eg: small slices of fruit platter ( water melon, papaya, banana ) Plenty available in the market for cheap prices. We were Charged Rs1500 each. They said that they didn’t receive booking.com information. Anxiety in the beginning after a long trip from the airport at late evening. No facility to move luggage to our rooms as they were away from the road. We had to carry most of it. Husband wife operation with poor service.

Alessandra (9/5): Great stay near the Kalpitiya Lagoon - Really lovely cabanas a few hundred meters from the beach. The staff, particularly Jagath, went above and beyond to help with my requests ( he facilitated communication with a local diving school and helped me figure out transportation for my next destination). I also got a complimentary foot massage! The room was very clean and well kept. I would recommend a stay here. The bathroom was a bit simple and damp compared to the room. Also there is a wind turbine quite close on the beach which can either be a soothing white noise or a bit annoying, depending on the person.

Jacqueline (10/5): The staff were all amazing, couldn’t be more helpful. Remember to visit Sugath Matasihgja for a wonderful foot and back - Such a short walk to the beach and the little huts, surrounded by sand, gave you that holiday vibe. Breakfast was massive, more than you can eat. Could do with a nearby shop for snacks but that isn’t the fault of the resort.

Peter (10/5): Aside from the beach we had a wonderful relaxing stay at Roshanne Resort - Beautiful property and well maintained . The owners were fabulous and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a private bungalow which was air conditioned, clean and comfortable. The meals were great and plentiful. We would visit again. The nearby beach was dirty and not good for swimming. There are also wind turbines along the shore.

Praveen (9/5): Superb - The staff are very nice and helpful the food was good,.great location When it comes final settlement of the bill they charge more then the booking.com charge then we spoken to the manager and he fixed the bill in to correct amount but they charge Rs 250000 for Seafood plater and total of around Rs 400000 for dinner even a five star hotel won't charge that's much and they add service charge to the total bill including booking.com bill it's very unfair and cheating please be aware when you pay the bill in this place ...

Rikke Røske (10/5): Dejligt stille sted med en fantastisk strand - Vi tilbragte vores 4 første dage i sri lanka her med vores to piger på 10 og 12. De kom og hentede os i lufthavnen og hele personalet var bare så søde og hjælpsomme hver dag. Hvis man gerne vil have aircondition, så ring eller skriv til stedet. Hotels.com skriver at det er i alle hytter, men det er det ikke. Maden er god, vi havde fuld pension og man kunne både få sri lankansk, men også europæiske retter. Poolen er rigtig fin og ren. Vi tog på delfintur og snorkling. Vi så 100 vis af definer lige ved siden af båden. Og en masse fisk, men revet er desværre ved at dø. Stranden er helt fantastisk, store bølger som vi legede i i timevis. Men lige så snart man er gennem brændingen er havet roligt og uden understrøm. Dog bliver det hurtigt dybt, så man skal kunne svømme. Det er kun stranden ved resorts der bliver holdt ren, hvis man går en tur langs stranden er der skyllet en del affald op. Trist at verdens skrald ender på smukke strande. Der er mange lokale fiskere, de vil gerne hilse og spørger hvor man er fra. Der er ikke en masse butikker og restauranter. Men vi kom for at slappe af, bade og se delfiner. Så det var helt perfekt for os. Stedet kan også arrangere forskellige ture til lagunen, nationalpark osv. Vi synes det var et dejligt sted at starte ferien, total afslapning inden vi tog videre for at se alle seværdighederne i midten af landet.
tom kjærsgaard (8/5): Nice place for families - Friendly staff and manager. We felt good and the place is suitable for families. The food was ok, but you don't have to eat there every evening.
