Central gelegen. Bushaltestellen in der Nähe... Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch geschultes Personal. Zeigte uns sogar das Zimmer. Haus leicht hellhörig. Aber Nachtruhe war gewährleistet. Mehr Hacken für Handtücher wäre schön.

It’s just a minute to the centre of the village. The continental breakfast was extensive - loved all the fruit. Staff were very helpful. Did some wonderful local short walks. Recommend the Fresher cafe just down the road for a lovely lunch. Nothing

Beds comfortable and hotel generally very clean with good toiletries and bathroom facilities. Good outside seating area and although breakfast was continental in style there was a very good selection of fruits, cold meats, salmon and cheese. Not really the hotels fault but electric car charger did not work. Its provided by a third party who confirmed with me it had an issue on the day we were trying to use it - I would note that the hotel were very helpful in assisting in trying to get the charger working but unknown to them it had a fault.

The view could have been better from our room and had to pay extra to park but a small point really for a lovely B&B right in the heart of town.

Gorgeous hill views from the door, short walk to shops, restaurants, independent cinema, playground. Such a friendly welcome from the owners. Yummy continental breakfast. Spacious family room which was always lovely and warm. We ended up booking an extra night we liked it so much! Not a negative but to be aware the parking is chargeable (but definitely worth it) and the breakfast is continental but a huge selection of yummy things so you definitely dont feel you are missing out!

Plenty of hot water, bath and a shower, large shower sheets hand towels. Rooms very clean and freshly decorated. Continental breakfast with lots of different options.. think I had a bit of everything haha it was all so nice. I especially liked the coffee machine that did proper lattes 😋😊👌🏼 Nice comfy bed had a great night's sleep. Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend ✨⭐ Nothing.

- Sarah (10/5): Perfect little stay. - Exceeded my expectations. This was a random last minute booking and so glad we did. It's central to ambleside, perfect base for walks, days out etc and the option to park made it nice and easy. There is lots of choice for evening meals within the vicinity. The staff at the hotel were lovely. The hotel itself was absolutely spotless. The rooms had everything you could need. The triple room I booked was great for families as they had a curtain so it was like having two separate rooms, even had a TV in both sections. The bathroom was nice and modern and had a fantastic shower. The room was on the top floor so had a nice view of the mountains. It states the breakfast is continental so was just expecting a few boxes of cereal but I was wrong there was a whole array of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, toast, spreads, boiled eggs it really was a great buffet. Hot drinks and juice available too. Would definitely return if visiting the area. Honestly nothing. Perfect little stay.

Not only did they call me to point it out but the staff were amazing in wrapping it up and arranging for it to be posted back safely to me. Really excellent service which was above and beyond for what was my mistake.

- Robin (6/5): - Beautiful town, plenty amenities, friendly reception. Breakfast lacking a bit, controlling staff. Fighting next door and slamming of doors kept us awake. Getting around the town and parking a bit difficult with the one-ways and tourist volumes.

Short walk to shops and restaurants along with beautiful walks on your doorstep. Parking on site was so handy but £12 per day which could have been included in the price of the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we had the benefit of the balcony access which went straight down onto the car park. The breakfast was nice, really fresh. Personally the beds were too firm for me which resulted in a bad back. There was no fridge in the room so we ended up putting some bits on the window sill outside to stay cold. However on the second day of our stay we were provided with a fridge when we mentioned it at reception which was helpful.
- Diane (9/5): Great stay. - Love the location of Brathay Lodge, great car parking facility for busy Ambleside. The room we stayed in was immaculate and decorated really nicely. Will stay here again. We do prefer a traditional cooked breakfast, especially when in the Lakes! However great choice of continental style breakfast and were aware this was on offer when we booked.
