Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Studio, Uncomfortable Bed - This studio apartment located in Adams Morgan had everything I needed. However the bed was so uncomfortable I woke up with a sore back and the blinds are a bit flimsy which meant I was never sure people couldn't see in at night and it was quite bright in the morning. Otherwise, the rest of the amenities were great and it is at a very competitive price point.
- Gail (8/5): Convenient studio apartment, very clean - Hotel had a secure bike rack, was comfortable, private, in pretty tree-lined neighborhood.
- Nick (4/5): Don't book until they buy a new bed. - This place has potential to be highly recommended, as I liked everything about it except for one MAJOR thing: the full-size mattress in this place desperately needs to be replaced and made it very uncomfortable to get a good night's sleep. I'm not exaggerating at all. This place has so much going for it - I was really surprised that they spent so little on such a cheap mattress/bed. I mean, it would have been bad enough if it was new - the mattress is those cheap, thin, no padding at all with spring coils types. But it was obvious that the mattress is worn out as the coils are sticking up in the middle, no doubt due to people sleeping on both sides, wearing it down so much that if you sleep on one of the sides, you feel like you are going to roll off the bed. And if you sleep in the middle, the coils stick in your ribs. I piled on as many blankets I could to add some padding but hardly helped. The frame of the bed is a cheap, wire and spring system holding up the single mattress. Not only noisy, but very stiff.
If they replace the mattress and bed frame, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an affordable option to staying in downtown DC where the rates were about 3x as what I paid here. You will pay about $15 to 20 via Uber to get downtown, so even if you added $40 a day, it was cheaper than staying in a big hotel, where they overcharge you for every little thing, like wifi, etc.
I stayed 4 nights here including a weekend. Overall the building was pretty quiet.
