- KevandVal_1 (4/5): Be cautious about staying here if part of large convention - IF they have a convention before yours, Rooms will NOT be ready at 3, 4, maybe not even 5 pm. They got a new computer system. No one knew how to use. Check in took almost 1 hour in line, then you couldn't check in or get a key, because "rooms were NOT ready". Figure out how to GIVE ME A KEY NOW, and I promise I will leave my stuff in car till HOURS later. (I didn't actually go to my room till after 11PM, but got my key finally about 8 PM after checking in 'again'). Then, 2nd day of our stay for entire convention, they RESET all the Keys, so you had to go back and get a new KEY. My microwave only had one button that worked (I made management aware), and the beds were way to soft. The Hallways were filthy and needed vacuumed badly. One positive - the Lobby bar experience Friday night was a positive, with a friendly attentive staff. I enjoyed the courtyard. Great quiet place to sit. Manager at hotel was trying to address our concerns, but they needed MORE check in computers, and MORE staffing, and shouldn't switch over to a NEW system until people are trained on the new system. That is what overtime is for... Should we repeat the convention at the Horizon Center in the future, I plan to stay elsewhere.

- barneysloan (4/5): Very Poor Service - My wife and I stayed for two nights, April 6 and 7th. It was very cold outside, and, as it turned out, cold in our room. The temperature kept dropping throughout the night. The next day maintenance came but cold air kept blowing not warm. He suggested we move rooms, which we did. That room was fine. When we checked out, we were asked how everything was. We said we had to move rooms. She asked if we were on the second floor. We were. She said they were having issues there. Then why put anyone on that floor? It was during the week and not crowded. She asked about my receipt, and I asked her to email it. She didn’t. I called a day or so later and talked to a gentleman who said he would send it. He did except it showed only our first night. I called another day and got someone who took my information to give it to someone who could help me. No one ever called or sent the receipt. Another day I called, and that person told me to call after 3:30 and ask for Christina. Today, April 16, I called. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. When someone finally picked up, I was told Christina was not in but I could be transferred to the manager. Instead of being transferred, I was disconnected. I was too disgusted to try again today. It’s been over a week just to get a receipt of my charges.

- michd61 (10/5): Wonderful - Came in for a show at Emens. Hotel clean, room clean. Comfortable bed. We took an Uber from hotel, walking was just too far for us. Easy quick drive. Check in was a breeze- I believe the young man who helped us was Archie- helpful, very nice. Enjoyed the stay.

Food is good too. - When I came in from a 30 degrees day outside, the room was cold and the AC was on, along with FOX news, which I cannot stand. Why not turn OFF the AC when nobody is in the room on a cold day??? And why was the TV on? Colossal waste of energy and money. Also the wifi hasn't worked well in the room for the last couple of years, and I don't always have time to go to the lobby to work. Will be looking elsewhere next time.

- Steve (10/5): - I love the mission of this hotel and restaurant. Providing training and jobs to people with disabilities is a wonderful mission and the staff is great. I always stay here when visiting family.
- Feltner (1/5): WAY too expensive for what it is. - It was decently clean. I checked in after midnight. The automatic door wouldn't open and there was no sign on the door stating to pick up the phone on the wall. Instead, the man at the front desk finally motioned to the left corner behind the luggage carts. I picked up and was able to tell him I had a reservation and gave him my name. He opened the door and I got checked in successfully. I asked where to park and he told me to 'hug the building' until I get to the parking structure and I could park anywhere in the structure for free. Our room was on the 3rd floor so naturally we parked on the 3rd floor. Get out, get all the luggage out.. And the elevator was off. Drove down to the next level.. Same thing.. Elevator was off. I was mad at this point and just drug our suitcases down a flight of stairs. Had to still cross a street with our luggage to even enter the hotel.. Not fun in 30 degree weather. Get in the room and settling down to go to sleep, and pull the sofa bed out only to scour the whole room and realize there was no sheets for the sofa bed. Thankfully the king bed had plenty of flat sheets on top so I was able to take one off and wrap it around the mattress to the sofa bed and luckily we had brought an extra blanket and pillow of our own. I figured since the front desk employee didn't offer any extra information to us about the elevators in the structure not working that it would have been a waste of time to ask about extra sheets for the sofa bed. I will NOT stay here again.

We landed in IN to discover an email from the hotel to say that they were placing us at a different hotel for our first night due to an A/C issue. They did cover the expense of our stay in the other hotel, which was nice. We then headed over to the Courtyard the following day. There were amenities missing from my room (lotion/tissues)... and quite frankly the bathroom shower looked like it needed a really good scrube. The walls were covered in gunk. Sadly, it was super noisy during our stay and we didn't get much sleep other. I know that is not the hotel's fault... but i really wish that guests would be mindful of others trying to sleep in the wee hours of the morning. Normally, we really like this hotel... but this stay was a tad disappointing all round.

- timothybW5431XM (2/5): SUPER Hot Room - Room was 75 degrees when I walked in. I tried to turn it down, but the thermostat displayed a message that I was locked from changing it. I called the front desk and was given a simple “I’ll open it up and fix it for you” without any kind of time frame. A half hour later, I walked to the front desk and asked for a different room. That request was not acknowledged and I was given another “I’ll fix your thermostat when I have a chance.” It’s now been about 2 hours since my initial request and my room is only getting hotter. At this point, the room feels unusable. If you’re at all heat-sensitive like I am, this hotel is really not for you. Additionally, the bathroom doesn’t feel particularly clean. The wallpaper along the bottom of the shower is caked in orange/pink bacteria and the shower head is coated in lime scale. Also, the bed is far too firm for my liking. Lastly, I was prominently placed in a room right next to the ice machine and the outside air conditioning units (the ultimate irony given how hot my room is) that is also right along a noisy, active train track. I stay in a lot of hotels each year, but this one is by far among the worst I’ve ever stayed in. I know it’s conveniently located but I strongly recommend against staying at this hotel if it’s at all avoidable.

- Justin (1/5): - I didn't have an experience at the hotel at all to judge how it was. The day I needed the hotel wasn't booked correctly. I don't appreciate being given the run around. I tried to book a room for Saturday and by accident ended up booking a room for Sunday instead. As soon as I realized I had made a mistake with the days I contacted the hotel. They told me to contact the website i booked through. The website tells me to contact the hotel. They would not refund my money or change my arrive day from Sunday to Saturday. I ended up not going to the hotel at all and paying for a room i did not use. I travel all the time. I am usually at a Hyatt hotel which is my favorite. I have never had to pay for a room i didn't use and I have never been treated like this by a company that is in the business of satisfying their customers. I will never book through this website ever again or try to stay at this hotel again.

- bewarethemare (10/5): Didn’t realize Southern Hospitality extended into Indiana but it does! Stay here it’s a beautiful hotel worth it!!!! - Wow! Just awesome. Came in Sunday same day as Indy 500. I booked third party. Parking was free and plenty of spaces. It was behind the hotel in a covered parking garage with elevators. So I check In and a lovely night manager with the prettiest long braids I had ever seen greeted me. She was so pleasant and we talked a bit about Nashville and different areas. I think she is a jack of all trades as the next time I saw her she was manning the bistro area! Kudos to her for being multiple task employee! She alone was just outstanding. Was able to accommodate some requests I had. Now I was on the 6th floor 6122 I was worried about the train noise. There was no need to worry. I slept right thru it. Kind of sounded like an ac unit came on. Room was beautifully appointed. Shower everything was nice. Now the cons. Bed was rock hard. That was the only con. I normally sleep on a hard bed but lately I have needed softer due to some health concerns but it’s all good. Pillows were various degrees of soft mid and a little stiffer. They were very clean I could smell the laundry soap. They smelled really good. Clean floors sometimes I walk around in bare feet and this time I was able too even tho it isn’t a constant for me. So it passed the bare foot test. I did have the bistro I got a burrito and orange juice. It was 15$ with a tip added. Not impressed there but hey you pay for convenience. Over all I would happily stay again booking online saved me an about $20 per night. Stay here it was worth it!

- CHARLES (6/5): - The bad: Room was 75 dehrees and we could not turn it down snd front desk couldnt either. I can see that in summer, but this was winter. Had to call for delivery of basics like soap. Several lights were broken and or burnt out. Foam seals in connecting door to adjoining room was falling out. Heated pool was frigid. Blinking light on looked-out thermostat was super annoing while trying to sleep. The good: room felt clean. Bonvoy checkin and checkout was convenient.

Also, the beds are not very comfortable. We had no body wash/shampoo in the complimentary bottles in the shower. The Starbucks coffee was the best part of the stay.
