- Craig (6/5): - The main problem we had was that we are seniors and the bathroom facilities were poor. There was no shelving in our bathroom (#127), so we had to store all our meds and hygienic supplies on our nightstands. We found this most inconvenient. No room for even our toothpaste.

The staff were very friendly and we could tell they appreciated our business. One word of note though.. there are rooms with a spectacular view and some with just a nice view. If you can climb the stairs, ask for the second floor. You won’t be disappointed. Guaranteed !!

- Max (10/5): - Had a great stay here I stayed here for a total of three nights for a vacation to do some beach driving on the national seashore, which is just a short drive from here about 15 to 20 minutes. The staff upon arrival were super friendly and we’re very helpful and there’s even a board on the wall in the room that gives you local safety information and restaurants that are nearby i’ll definitely stay here again.

The room and swimming pool were clean. The room was a decent size too. The air conditioner worked fine. However, there were some minuses too: - no fan in the bathroom - no countertop around the sink in the bathroom - one of two beds was uncomfortable - no tea in the room, only coffee - no services after 6 pm and on weekends. The office is closed.

- Saundra (8/5): Mom & Daughter trip - This was a “Mom & Daughter” trip. We stayed 6 days. Great location, decor is a little outdated (but that isn’t a big deal), and the cleaning staff didn’t bother us when we asked for privacy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little motel - Motel is very well maintained!! Very welcoming & clean!! Nice property, friendly staff! Our room was very clean! Bed was comfortable and amenities in the room convenient. Our only issue (if you want to call it one) was the air conditioning wasn’t very cold, especially at night while we slept, it was warmer than wanted. We travel with fans, but it still was a little uncomfortable.

- William (10/5): - 5 stars because the owner kindly moved us up to 2nd floor room for the 4th fireworks. Happy to report that for an older property the soundproofing is really pretty good. Grounds are lovely and clean, room was basic and functional. Be prepared for a tiny bathroom. Nice place to stay overall. Do not miss the spice store next door which is many things besides spices. Vey convenient to Ptown.

Luckily the Hotel Mgr saw my confirmation I saved and they had 1 room left. I booked this 3 months ago. I am Not very thrilled with Hotels.com anymore, especially since they got rid of there once excellent Rewards program, it is lousy now!

- Geoffrey (10/5): - This was my second or third time staying at the Cape View over the last 13 years or so. If you go into it with the proper expectations you will not be disappointed at all. It’s a budget-friendly option on the outer cape. There aren’t many of those. It’s not a luxury resort but it was very clean and well maintained. AC was great, kitchenette met our needs, the pool was bathtub warm on a windy and not hot day, and the staff were great. We came back one night and went over to the camp fire area to see if we could get something going. A staff member saw us and brought over some wood and kindling, and seemed genuinely happy to see us looking to sit out and watch the DNC next to a fire. He came back a few minutes later and handed us some wooden skewers and marshmallows to roast. They clearly get hospitality and I’d totally return.

The Office was basically an apartment for the Manager from what I could tell. I had to press a button to make contact and then she opened up to check me in. Just a basic sign would prevent a lot of confusion for a new Customer.

- melissa (8/5): - What we loved: The location is perfect! The area is quiet & peaceful, the pool is great, there is an awesome patio with furniture outside of the room. There is also a screen on the patio slider if one would like to keep the door open and bugs out. We also loved that our room was neatened up by house keeping each day, we had AC, the room had a kitchenette, and that there was lots of parking. What we didn’t like: 10 am check out is a little early. Most places are 11am, which is more reasonable when vacationing. We recommended getting a room on the second floor or a unit without anyone above. You will hear every step they take above you all hours of the night & morning with someone above you. There are signs all over the room. Above the toilet, on the shower curtain, a kitchenette inventory list on the fridge, bulletin board on the wall. We love for a place to feel like home. Signs all over the room doesn’t give anyone the warm & fuzzies. Our suggestion would be create a guest binder with all of those signs and leave it on the dining table. A binder would still be informative yet much less overwhelming for guests when presented that way. The beds could use some updating. One bed was ok & the other felt like the spring was digging in my back. Thank goodness the 2 of us had our choice of which bed to sleep in. Also, the the bedding could be updated & add some pillows.1 pillow per person is not enough. We had a double room for 2 of us, so we were able to get an extra pillow each.

They had charcoal grill you could use and the kitchenette was amazing so we could bring back leftovers from dinner and actually put them somewhere. The owner was really nice too.

- Theresa (8/5): Very Clean Property & Well Kept - Was tremendously please to find The Cape View to be very clean and safe. The only problem I found was that with the humidity during our stay we wanted to run the air conditioner and could not get it to operate. There were no instructions for the remote controller and so we had to sleep with the windows open of which one did not have a screen. Without the window open there was a musty smell. The pool was heated and very clean.

- Frank G (8/5): - A shuttle bus takes you to Provincetown cheaply and easily, and you're a short-ish drive from the attractions in Wellfleet, Truro, and Eastham. The property itself is OK -- good beds and showers, but our (non-kitchenette) room had very little storage or counter space. (It did have a Keurig machine and a microwave.) It does have a nice enough pool. Not at all deluxe, but perfectly adequate.

It was very cute, comfortable, affordable, and contained all of the amenities necessary for a pleasurable stay. My only criticism would be that it was very cold in my room, and I had some trouble turning on the heater while I was there. Otherwise, I highly recommend and would definitely come back here if I return to the area!

You can appreciate the longevity of the property with its modern upgrades. 12 min drive to commercial st provincetown and plenty of eateries surround you. The staff is beyond pleasant and accommodating. Having a full kitchen in the room was so convenient for the nights you just want to heat up leftovers or make a quick meal. Nice balcony to enjoy a morning coffee or late night cocktail. I would definitely stay here again and again. Great price. Great service. Great all around

- Verified traveler (8/5): Safe and relaxing vacation spot - Very clean. Lovely outdoor pool. Excellent service. Great location convenient to Corn Hill beach. A few room-specific problems: noise from toilet (kept running), noise from above (creaky floor boards from 2nd floor), and sliding door to patio extremely difficult to open (only husband could do it).

The only questionable thing in my mind was water pressure,but on the cape,that is to be expected. Best vacation at the Cape since Horton's was taken over. After45 years of camping,I was very surprised and pleased.
