• Palmer (10/5): - Everything about it was great; price location, cleanliness, facilities. Close access to the metro for easy access to the city. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast supplies. Have anyway booked my next stay. Toilets were a bit tight!
• Omer (7/5): It was good for the price and overall comfortable but do not expect too much. - The location in North Sydney was very good, close to public transport, dining options, etc. The place is generally well kept and for the price it is difficult to fault it - it is on the cheaper side, private, comfortable, clean, facilities well kept, reasonable amenities and a complementary breakfast. Some small things that were quite average: the room felt stuffy and musty, like it has not been aired in a long time; the mattress and pillows were very soft and not very comfortable; the toilets and showers were small and cramped. Overall, for the price I did not expect much more, but it was still quite average.

• Jasmine (8/5): the stay is always good and very convenient facilities they provided to make an affordable stay - The rooms are always clean, I am in and out of this lodge because I was waiting for my apartment move-in date. Staff are always helpful and friendly on phone or in person. If you are in Sydney on a budget and long stay, this is a very good place. I noticed a very musty smell in one room ground floor and also one of the bathrooms needed a good clean as it smelled with molds, perhaps molds underneath the carpet.

• J (9/5): Great option for exploring Sydney - Comfortable room in a nice hostel with one of the cleanest communal kitchens I've ever seen! It's in a nice, not so touristy neighborhood with cafés, parks, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Within a short walk, you reach several bus and a metro stop and with a few minutes more also a train stop, so it's well connected to quickly take you to the CBD and other places. The upstairs ladies' washroom is pretty narrow. Also, the showers are not well enclosed so that the water flows everywhere in the room. Complimentary breakfast was nice but would be even better with more healthier options like fruit or muesli.

• Jasmine (8/5): Very good but management must ensure that rooms that are potentially more moist/damp must be addresd - The walls at the lodge were thin, so I could hear next door room were loud noisy late hours. I asked management for a quieter room. They immediately addressed the problem and I was able to sleep really well. My first room had a very moldy - moist, odour each time I go in and was too noisy next door. This room is on the ground floor close to the bathroom and toilets. Molds/smells of moist is common in some Sydney locations which must have airborne fungal spores in the air, as the smell is quite strong. I could not sleep well as I started to cough, I react to strong odours and smells in stagnant room that has not been aired-out for a few days, carpet dust etc. The next two room upstairs were great and the rest of my stay was very comfortable.

It was quite gloomy outside the house due to large trees and further away from Sidney centre than I thought. The furniture was a bit shabby. Light-shade on lamp all torn. Probably a beautiful house in its day, it’s sad it doesn’t do it justice. Didn’t see any staff but to be fair was out in the day. Steep stairs, no lifts.

Very reasonably priced with breakfast provided. Was of the assumption room 14 may have been larger. Cupboard in room needs to be painted. Grout in shower needs to be scrubbed.

• Maria (9/5): Convenient, calm, restful - Room was clean, beds are comfortable, the additional blanket could have been used as it didn't look as clean and the material had some stains. Carpet also did not look very clean but other than that and considering the amount of people using the kitchen and bathrooms the overall hygiene of the place is pretty good and the bedrooms have everything you need to be comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the silence; the atmosphere is calm and silent which makes it a perfect spot for resting and studying too. Staff was very helpful and kind. I stay at the lodge twice a year and always recommend the place to family and friends visiting Sydney. The carpet in the bedroom looked dirty, it would be nice considering towels and bedsheets are only changed once a week to have a second towel...just a small additional towel for each person.

• Michaela Pleasance (3/5): Misleading advertising and below - Location wasn’t bad and the rooms were clean but the advertising is misleading. Most other rooms said shared bathroom in the room title, this one did not so I assumed it had its own bathroom. Turns out it was shared and it took 3 clicks on the booking info to see all the details including that information. Walls are paper thin so you can hear people’s conversations and tv shows. Kitchen facilities were good Misleading room description lead me to think I was getting a room with a bathroom but turned out it I only had access to shared bathroom. Female and male bathrooms were next to each other which made me feel a little uneasy

• Noémie (6/5): Convenable pour 1 nuit - Emplacement assez proche du CBD, le petit déjeuner compris dans le séjour La chambre 2 où nous avons loger avait une forte odeur d’humidité nous avons dû allumer la Clim et ouvrir la fenêtre toute la nuit car pas trop agréable à respirer, l’isolation n’est pas très bonne nous entendions la conversation de nos voisins jusqu’à 00h00-1h, la stationnement pour le véhicule dans la rue n’est gratuit que pour 2heures, un parking est proposé par l’établissement mais payant à 30$ ce que nous trouvons dommage qu’il ne soit pas mis à disposition avec la réservation

• Roger (9/5): Enjoyed my stay. Very clean and nice rooms. - Great location, very clean and tidy. Easy process to access room. Shared bathroom was extremely small.
• Christina (2/5): - It was in a quiet location and the aircon worked well. I arrived at 7.30pm in the dark as a solo female traveller, only to realise I hadn’t been provided with a pin to access the key. I pressed the doorbell (no response), then called the property (no response), then called the emergency mobile number (no response). It took around 30 minutes by the time I was contacted by the property and provided details to get the key. Their only explanation was “it had been a busy day”, but it was an extremely stressful experience as you would expect to be able to access the accommodation you paid money for. There was another traveller who also told me they hadn’t received the pin to get in, but they had arrived when the cleaning staff were there who let them in. I would not recommend arriving at night at this property. The room smelled really bad like sweat and it was also dirty with grimy surfaces that were sticky. • Auriane (8/5): Très bel emplacement, et super chambre avec des parties communes très bien entretenues ! - L’emplacement, à proximité du métro avec un accès direct aux endroits à visiter de Sydney. La propreté, tous les jours, les parties communes étaient nettoyées avec soin. Beaucoup d’ustensiles de cuisine. Chambre petite mais bien agencée et surtout totalement suffisante. Nous nous y sommes senties bien. L’insonorisation, parfois trop de bruits des autres, et ça nous réveillait. L’hôtel n’y peut rien mais parfois les autres n’étaient pas propres ce qui a rendu le séjour parfois compliqué.

• Jeong (9/5): 좋은 위치 좋은 시설 좋은 여행 - 직원들이 아주 친절했습니다^^ 매일 오전에 와서 하는 청소도 깨끗했고 숙소관리에 신경을 많이쓰는게 느껴졌습니다 조식도 제공해주어서 바쁜 아침에 유용했고 위치도 좋았습니다 편안하게 잘 쉬다 갑니다 3인 방이었는데 너무 구석이라 햇빛이 잘 안들어 어두웠고 창문을 열기가 어려웠습니다만 이건 방 위치에 따라 다를수있으니 어쩔수가 없었을겁니다 그 이외에는 다 좋았습니다 강력하게 추천합니다

• Dawei (5/5): - There were small bugs and spiders in the room. Bit me at night and left me with 10 red dots on my legs. Very itchy to a point that woke me up.
• Deborah (9/5): Awesome - Lovely old home converted beautifully into the Lodge. So convenient with train and metro connections. Very clean and quiet. Really comfortable beds. Our room had a little ledge out into the hallway that my 78 year old travelling companion missed and almost fell. Great carpet though, just a visual illusion. To go to the washroom it was a few steps down and about 8 steps up. Some rooms are on the same level of the washroom which would have been a bit easier. Small issue in the grand scheme of things. We’d definitely come back again

• Catherine (9/5): Great value and super comfortable - Pretty heritage lodge room with balcony looking into trees - shared women’s bathroom was fine given the reasonable costs - very good transport to city and elsewhere like manly No reception staff on hand but everything laid out well especially kitchen and the automated key access works fine - lack of lift may be problem for some of have heavy bags

Beautiful building. Ver minor improvements: The dining room was very warm. No streaming services on TVs in the rooms.

• Jennifer (10/5): Happy guest ! - I’ve stayed many times , this time in a single room. It was wonderful and quiet , great size just for one. Kitchen was clean as usual. Location is great , coffee from the corner cafe is 👍 Great quite room , air con worked well in the heat

• Zac (8/5): Clean, tidy and as advertised. - Great location and very clean. I didn’t see any staff but was able to check in digitally without any issues. If I’m being picky- the laundry was a little crammed (I needed to do some ironing), but this is a minor issue.
• Chad (9/5): I was not prepared for the toilet and shower situation but really enjoyed the place. - The bed was comfy and I liked the quant kitchen with all the food. The place really shines for travelers needing to do laundry. Nothing that I didn't like. There are designated cupboards in the kitchen to store your stuff and food if you choose. Someone can possibly take your stuff if left in the communal kitchen. It's all an honour system if you do use them. I never did so nothing to worry about.

• Alison (6/5): - Convenient location and comfy bed They advertised that breakfast was included. It was just a few cereals and bread and condiments for toast. I had advised that I needed gluten free bread. There was none. When I asked the staff member she didn’t understand me. The room was small.
• Paula (8/5): Was easy to get to from Victoria cross station, clean lovely building in a great safe area. Staff quick to get back to e - Great location, had everything we needed! Very small toilets.
• Graeme (5/5): Walking was not a problem for me so it was nice to secure budget accommodation conveniently located. - Enjoyed the provision of the basic breakfast and did not mind in the least cleaning up after myself. Having a shower caused puddles through the whole bathroom but I expected this problem because I read other reviews before my stay. You should email the passcode for key collection much earlier prior to a guest's arrival - not everybody accesses emails on their phone. I was just lucky staff were present when I arrived.
