Guest Reviews
- Luis (10/5): Fantastic! - Best view ever! This quality / price ratio is unbearable!
- Lynn (9/5): - Breakfast was fantastic on the sunny porch. Beautiful view!
- Bruce (8/5): - Great breakfast, fantastic view. Classic fraudulent overcharge. Service charge of 10% on the base amount and taxes was added to the prepayment one month prior to arrival. It was not disclosed ahead of time.
- Andrew (9/5): A nice, smaller sized facility in a wonderful location. - Great location, wonderful views, very friendly staff. Somewhat dated in finishes, although clean. Lack of permanently installed functioning safe in room. The common area could use a coffee making facility and perhaps an honour bar with basics like beer, wine, spirits. A microwave oven would also be a nice addition.
- Mary (8/5): - We had a wonderful time! With just 5 rooms it’s easy to feel you have ample space and peace. We often had the small pool to ourselves. Please note however, that the rooms do not have a safe for your valuables, so you will need to plan accordingly. While most restaurants accept credit cards, most of the activities we tried, required payment in cash/pesos. Ultimately, we had a great time and will return.
- Honorio (10/5): - Small, quiet, clean, friendly atmosphere, nice view
- Jason (10/5): - Property was good, great views and nice set up. Fabulous location.
- David (10/5): - Nice property, easy walk to Playa La Ropa.
- Jordan (10/5): Romantic - Beautiful setting with epic views No cocktail service
- Kurt (10/5): - Beautiful setting beautiful property, quite a few steps
- Catherine (9/5): A relaxing two day stay in a great property with wonderful views. - Location, lovely sea views from patio areas, homely feel, close to beach, friendly staff. No facilities to make a beverage in the room.
- Edwin (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (9/5): Memorable, comfortable with a Mexican feeling! - Prime location with expansive views of all beaches, town of Zihua , mountainous background and colourful sunsets!
The many quiet seating areas on the terraces with superb views. Delicious breakfasts prepared fresh daily! Staff was very attentive and kind. Thank you very much Iker, Mireya and Guadeloupe or making our stay so pleasant! No views from any of the five rooms. Fortunately, we can hear the sound of the ocean waves from our room.
- Miner (10/5): Very nice place - Location
- Kate (10/5): A great two night stay! - Our flight was cancelled and we could not rebook for another two days. This was an excellent stay and a great place to be stranded. Lovely breakfast and close to the beach. I was charmed by the old hacienda feel of the building. There are only five rooms, so it felt very uncrowded.
- Krista (9/5): The host Romona was amazing! - Lots of stairs and steep hills. I didn’t mind it for the exercise but others might find it quite difficult.
- Mitchell (9/5): Superb - The grounds and the room were immaculate. The rooms are large and there is a large sitting area with a sofa in addition to a king size bed and large shower. The rooms are a bit secluded and a small pool is shared by only a few rooms. If you prefer privacy and seclusion, this is your place. If you prefer a big resort atmosphere, look elsewhere. The included breakfast was fantastic. The view from the pool and surrounding area is remarkable. The bed was firm.
- Peter (8/5): Enjoyable - Great Little expensive
- Loren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dianna (9/5): Superb -

- Linda (7/5): Good -
- Charles (10/5): An excellent small boutique hotel it would be fun to rent a few rooms and have a whole family stay there - The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful, and the view was otherworldly You do have to be willing to go up and down a few stairs
- Christine (9/5): I’ll be back soon; a wonderful week! - Staff always helpful and friendly. All was good.
- Christine (10/5): A wonderful respite. - The staff was exceptionally kind, efficient, and helpful. Breakfasts amazing; different each day. Nothing.
- Christel (10/5): Home Away from Home - So few rooms. Fabulous views. Community self-serve bar. Kitchen access. Comfy open-air great room. Delicious breakfasts every day. Right next to the wonderful La Ropa beach. The weather was hotter than previous visits.
- Jane (10/5): Will be back! It was perfect :) - Loved loved loved our stay! Esther and her husband took fantastic care of us! Everything we needed they provided and always went the extra mile to make our stay the best it could be. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Zihua! There was a shower issue....we did not seem to be able to get hot water in the shower. It was warm and so hot outside that we did not mind.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Villa de La Roca & Señor Efrain were amazing!! This place and the location is incredible - a paradise. Such a special, special place, we hope to go back soon!!
- Evelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karla (10/5): An Unforgettable Place! - The place is beautiful and the staff so friendly and accommodating. The view of the bay is spectacular. I really liked the street too, it is so charming and has easy access to the beach.
This is not for someone with mobility issues since there are a lot of stairs to climb, maybe not for young children either, but if you're looking for quiet relaxation, this a great place for that.
Señor Efraín was so kind as was Jonathan. We will not forget their wonderful hospitality throughout our entire visit. All staff really made our stay unforgettable.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): we will return - the view
- Steinberg (10/5): Exceptional - great views, very nice staff, awesome property that is easily walkable (some steps and hills) to playa la ropa and downtown zihua
- Renate (8/5): I loved the quiet, peaceful location and the open space overlooking Playa de Ropa amazing! - The location was amazing and the breakfast was great too! Umbrella on the deck.
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quaint Villa with Stunning views!! - Our stay was fantastic!! The staff are all very accommodating with incredible service!! The room as well as the property were very clean. The breakfast included was enormous, we managed to eat about half, and the views of the surrounding areas are spectacular! Would definitely recommend to stay at this property.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Todo fue muy bien y muy agradable! El lugar muy tranquilo la vista impecable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 8 days in paradise - My husband and I just returned from Zihua. Villa de la Roca was the perfect place to stay. Located just above Playa de la Ropa, close to town, it is the ideal location. Beautiful and well maintained. The staff is marvelous and friendly, completely dedicated to your comfort. Yes there are steps to go down to the beach or to your room - young children would need constant supervision - but the view from the terrace and the lounge area is fantastic. A perfect romantic retreat!
- Grant (10/5): - Amazing location close to Playa la Ropa and many restaurants- wonderful hosts. Breakfasts are also amazing - you can skip lunch!
- Mary (10/5): - It was built around and on huge rocks spectacular view of bay. Twenty seven year old Five room villa turned into BnB. Good breakfast and.one very good restaurant in close walking distance Not for the disabled
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location next to La Ropa beach overlooking beautiful Zihua Bay. The Villa is clean, well appointed and beautifully authentic. Cheers to the hosts Efiriam and Jonathon who made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The daily breakfasts were amazing! Thank you, we will be back!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great breakfast wonderful view . Near beach good service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view! We were able to invite others members from our family staying at a close by resort to join us for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Thanks for the great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Casita emensely. The view overlooking Zihua Bay was spectacular. Morning breakfast was both varied and tasty. Very short walk to La Ropa beach. About one mile walk to center of town or taxis readily available. The staff was welcoming, always and helpful. There are 5 large bedrooms in this facility. After the four other occupants, that were there when we arrived left, we had the whole place to ourselves.would HIGHLY recommend this lodging.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wonderful and friendly staff. Efram is a great cook.
Loved the different levels to use, like your own villa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing find. Friendly staff, great breakfast. - Loved it. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Will be back.
- Linda (10/5): A wonderful experience - Perfect location, best views in all of Zihuatanejo, and the management could not be more attentive or caring. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and a very special dinner prepared by the staff.
