Ryan (10/5): - Lovely family run small hotel , brilliant value for those traveling on a budget .
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): great stay, calm location. owners were very kind. - the owner and his family were so friendly and kind. felt like an oasis after the chaos of the old city area. thank you.
- Becs (10/5): - Great place to stay, would recommend. Close to beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A nice place to stay. Quiet and homey. A car ride to old town Hoi An costs about 65,000 VND using Grab
- Heather (10/5): Lovely villa at the beach. - We love this guesthouse/villa and have stayed 3 times. It is run by a hardworking family and their wonderful staff. BIG Thankyou to Phuong. She is just fantastic. So pleasant and speaks great English. We really enjoyed talking to her and she was very helpful to us. She also makes great coffee.
Just a couple of things to note about the Villa. The price is very resonable, but you don’t get supplied with complementary water, tea, coffee or creamer. Basic toiletries are supplied & one small microfibre bath towel each. But on the plus side, the rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable beds & pillows and nice bed linen.
And all in a great location.
- john (10/5): Fantastisk beliggenhet.
75 meter fra stranden.
- Nær strand.
Fantastisk personale.
Og kjøkkenet er byens beste.
Prøv rekesuppen.
- Bea (4/5): Very basic - the pictures are much better than what the property looks like in real life. I didn't expect the family to live there as well, although they were wonderful. the room facilities were very basic with just one pillow and one very thin towel which never dried. We had to request tea or water from the family kitchen, which was awkward. Property is not on the beach and it doesn't have 'villas'. The feel of it was more like a homestay, which is not what we were looking for. It's priced accordingly.
- DP (8/5): Reasonable homestay @ a reasonable price! Friendly - Overall it was a good 5 night stay. Clean and comfortable room. Serviced daily, with clean towels. Quiet location, close to food and markets
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great value for money hotel. Niceand quiet, with short walk to the beach.
- Anuraag (10/5): Like staying with family. - I loved this hotel. It is about a 15 minute motorcycle drive from Hoi An, and it is right by the beach. The hotel staff are so friendly and warm. They made me a great breakfast in the morning and even packed a small meal to-go when it was time for me to go to the airport. I loved the location. After the hustle bustle of the city, it was nice to just drink beer, eat food and swim in the ocean all day. The room was big, bright and clean. It came with a fridge too! Fully recommended!
- Tim (10/5): Highly recommended - A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff and a great location close to a beautiful beach. Breakfast Cooked daily to order each morning and the beach is a very short walk away just over the road. The staff arranged numerous taxis for us to get to the old town and also arranged a shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel is immaculately clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There is also a wonderful seafood restaurant over the road which is also part of the hotel, the produce is as fresh as it can get. The breakfast is really good with a choice of dishes and also a fruit platter with fresh juice and tea or coffee. This hotel is amazingly value for money and I can't recommend it enough. Spacious rooms with a comfortable bed, tv and a balcony.
- Steve (10/5): Wonderful place by the beach! - The owners of this hotel are wonderful! Willing to help you in any way they can. The hotel itself has a great, modern feel to it with all amenities you require.
The private beach is 20 metres across the road and has a great restaurant attached for lunch.
Airport transfers, taxis, scooter hire, massages can all easily be arranged at good prices! And the breakfast was great (and huge!) to set you up for a good day.
Short taxi ride (around 3 USD) to old town which is absolutely beautiful. Great stay - strongly recommended.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great Value for money although we did upgrade as the standard room felt a bit small and that was worth every penny. It was so hot and having two king sized beds was luxury. The beach is just across the road, proprietor has restaurant there, with good sea food. We found a great place to eat - come out if homestay turn left keep walking to palm beach resort Mi Casa is right opposit there. Wonderful people food so cheap but top quality and they will do anything for you, just anything. Love Vietnam it was our first visit but certainly not our last.
- Buckley (10/5): Simple, clean spot by the beach - I had a very nice, relaxing stay here. The family that runs Hien Hoa were very friendly and helpful! The private beach was a great too!
- CS (8/5): Beach front and coZy - Owners are amazing and they do their best to make u happy :-) seafood in their beach restaurant is yum and fresh
- Edward (10/5): Hoi An, first time visit and satisfied - We had an excellent stay with Thuy and her family. The accommodation were excellent and we enjoyed great coffee and breakfast each morning. The location is off the beaten path, quiet only 5 km away from Hoi An centre $4 taxi or 20min bicycle ride, and they supply bicycles. There are oceanfront restaurants across the street and beaches within 2 min walk or taxi in either direction
- Deb (8/5): Lovely people, across the road from the beach - A stay with this lovely family is a treat, from the generous breakfasts where we got to try delicious meals like Mi Quang to their restaurant across the road which has beach access and sun loungers available for guests. Unfortunately and there's nothing the hosts can do about it, the beach has been washed away/eroded and so you have to jump down large sandbags in order to get to the water. However the hosts provide free bicycles and it's only a 10 minutes ride up the coast to Hidden Beach, or slightly further to Ang Bang Beach. After a while you get used to it anyway. Thuy was always around for assistance, calling cabs and organized a transfer back to Da Nang station fo for us which would have cost more in a cab. The only thing to consider is that this is a homestay - if you are older and like/need a nap in the afternoon to recover from sightseeing/heat, this is unlikely with an echoey tiled floor and two young children downstairs.
- Emma (6/5): Wouldn't recommend - We had previously been staying in town and had a wonderful experience at a hotel much cheaper than this one. The room decor left a lot be desired (very sterile, furniture smelled like varnish). We chose this hotel for its proximity to the beach, but had no idea about the current maintenance that's happening. The beach is more or less unusable due to a typhoon wiping out the sand. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying on Cua Dai beach as the price is not worth the bad neighborhood and poor quality beach.
