Guest Reviews
- Frederick (10/5): - This hotel is excellent. Highly recommended
- Trajche (2/5): Dirty hotel - The most dirtiest hotel I have ever made. Stains everywhere. No towels and no clean sheets. For the toilet I don’t even want to start. But the stuff at the front desk was friendly, once I ask for towels and sheets they give it to me so I can replace it.
- Elizabeth Veronica (2/5): - Car park was so dark and dingy. Worse than bandaraya flats. Toilets so dirty. The water in the sink & shower takes forever to clear. Always clogged!! Will not recommend it to anyone or stay there again.
- Mohammed Nordin (6/5): - The treatment from the hotel staff is very disappointed, especially those at the front desk. employee professionalism needs to be improved. No tolerance from employees.I should have checked in 3 days at this hotel. But because I was disappointed with their attitude, I decide to move to another hotel on the second day’s without any refund.
- Gabriel (2/5): The worst hotel , lie no swimmig pool only childre - The qorst hotel of my life, nothing work, also scammers with extra tax , also no swimming pool, dont ever ever go here , better ti give your miney to donate
- Cecilia (6/5): - I stayed 3 weeks,at the hotel. No problem with checking in, staff always friendly, helpful & polite.
The Temasek Hotel in Melaka is a huge, airy, spacious hotel...
Sad to say the staff lack good house keeping skills
The bedrooms, showers etc need a good deep clean...the deco, in general, bedding, towels well worn,& discoloured very dated
With it being a hot country, a small fridge in rooms would be much appreciated
Management should play a big roll in staff training, supervision, & make sure staff have proper cleaning equipment, etc
I notice how short staff they were.
After all that i have written, i would still stay at The Temasek in future, provided things improve for the better.
Room for improvements. Tks, great staff, including security.
- J (4/5): Cleanliness and Customer Service Lacking - A sombre check-in. No warm greeting or smiles. The room was filthy. The floor was still wet from mopping but it was evident that no effort had been used. Filthy coffee cups, inside and out, splatter stains on walls, one side of toilet barely clean and the other brown with body fluids, blood-stained pillow cases and dirty sheets, slimey up-turned drain cover, shower head broken, sink dirty, filthy shower, threadbare towels and foot-mat, no hand towel. A supplied plastic mug exploded when hot water poured into it and burned my husband. Staff didn't seem to care or even ask if he was okay when I showed/told them.
Complained and housekeeping sent up. A team of 4 arrived and gave everything a cursory spray and wipe. Nothing changed except the linen. Housekeeper lied and said his team had forgot to clean the room.
Manager gave us new room which was better but I still cleaned a few things myself.
Kettle didn't work and we asked for a new one but they denied it was broken. It turned off after 10-20 seconds and they insisted that was enough. An hour and a half later, we finally got another kettle. I asked why it had to be our problem, just supply a new kettle and accept it was broken.
Fire alarm going off at 6:45 am, staff member walking into our room suddenly.
The pool for children got greener and greener and the convenience shop reeked of cigarettes, every time we went in.
Horrible hotel. They have a long way to go in terms of cleanliness and customer service.
- Asmiardy (10/5): - Good for grouping or family to stay. Large parking area and suitable for event.
- Shaun (4/5): - The toilets and rooms are bad . Spider webs and dust all over. There were cockroach running around the bathroom
- Han Jae (2/5): I don't know what it is - This photo shows I have two room keys at 4am.
First check in - room wasn't even cleaned and bathroom was flooded.
Second check in - we went out and came back around 3:45am then we found cockroach so we requested for the room change at 4am.
Staff didn't even check and just gave the another room key.
- Mathew K (10/5): - Good
- Hamdy Hashim (2/5): - Need to improve the queue system b4 checking in…queue for 2 and half hours before get the key even already booked online.
- surendran (2/5): - Water Leaking from ceiling inside the bathroom, cockroaches, no breakfast buffet, queue for check in was for few hours, dirty swimming pool, only 1 lift for 6 blocks
- Bernard (2/5): First and Last - Horrible
- Verified traveler (4/5): not a good experience - Not a good experience. Breakfast also so bad with that price. Reminded me of having a meal at school canteen
- PHILIP (8/5): Stayed 2 nights - 2 nights stay in Temasek Hotel was fine as the staff are friendly and I like the location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): ROOM CONDITION - I have stayed in this hotel several times and over the years I note the condition of the room (cleanliness) has been deteriorating. My latest stay was disappointing as the bathroom was not clean , the toilet bowl was not cleaned properly , the bathroom latch was damaged & the safety latch at the door was missing. I had to request for a room change but the condition of the toilet in the replaced room was the same.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location is very near to the town. But service is slow
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Easy to check in
Lack of facilities.... compare with the room price
- SURIA (8/5): - Your breakfast menu less satisfying
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location is strategic
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Had a room 1105 which water flooding everytime we had a bath the plastic cover keeps falling of every time we put the door key into its slot not enough lighting to do make up not enough hooks to hang our clothes in the bathroom no shower cap
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bad room service (they never came), air-con not cold (& the maintenance guy had to come and wash the air-con filter which was covered with dust but still not cold).
- ZUL (6/5): - new style in accomodation
- ROMAYNE (8/5): - Clean place
- Verified traveler (6/5): ROOMS & BFST NEED TO CHECK - The room is ok , clean. First time 3 star have the welcome drink. Only upon checking a bit chaos as I book 3 rooms under 3 different names. But only given 1 room under my name. But after a while, the reception manage to settle it for my other families, only thing tat my room and them is far apart. The first room i checked in is spacious which look like the room I book as deluxe king. I managed to change the room nearer to my families in which for me is a little bit small from the first one. Room doesnt occupy the neccesities like toothbrush and toothpaste /shower gel or soap in which should be the main item to be available instead of shower cap and pad which we hardly used. Breakfast is a bit chaos also as my other 2 rooms families they doesnt tick provide bfst. The front desk list also is not update of the rooms which are having bfst. And I might say that theres no control of Bfst provided to the guest. For example ..theres no one taking care or check the pax of having bfst. I saw theres couple whom register at the counter but 5 kids entering at the corner of the place which is on the left side that can be easily enter. So I was wandering if this family pay the bfst for 2 given or all the families.(I saw theres more than that whom having bfst there) Families with kids which is 4 to 5 . For this the hotel need to look into it. Cause it effect us whom pay and we cant eat the food. Frankly also we didnt get to eat the bfst spread as almost all finished and didnt top up.
- Nadzirah (8/5): Good place for family with small budget - Location is good. Near the hotel got nasi lemak stall for breakfast and kuih. My son enjoyed the swimming pool so much. For dinner- hotel is close to restoran muara sg duyong
- Jonathan (6/5): - A "just okay" hotel overall, but was rather annoyed that the sockets and switches are ridiculously far from the beds, making it difficult to charge your devices or even to switch on/off the lights. The air-cond also took quite some time to get cold. The TV was also extremely faulty - not that it's important since I didn't really watch TV for my stay but would've been nice to have the things in your room properly working!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - When we went to check-in, they could not find my booking. The Front Desk staff looked confused. Once I showed the confirmation from hotels.com, the front desk Manager needed to see payment that I did. This is not professional at all. When we went to the room, the room key could not be used.
- JA (4/5): Noisy environment and you unable to sleep well - It was 5am and the guest were too noisy caused sound proof was really poor and their hotel room main door was hard to open and close and caused the guests need to bang it!........ the breakfast also with lots of flies on it...... Good luck to those tourist visiting malaysia with these conditions........

- Verified traveler (2/5): This Hotel don't deserve even 1 star. - Room too small. very very very small so i don't feel comfort to stay here. Ask for wifi password, the centre answer like rush all the time and give me a wrong password. i've tell its the wrong password but he don't believe what i'm saying. 3 times ask for the wifi password, even i don't get it until the next morning.
- Yusnita (8/5): Murah dan selesa - Harga bilik sangat berpatutan, breakfast was good and the hotel is very near to main attactions.
Definitely will come again next time
- latipah (4/5): - penat untuk naik ke bilik kerana tiada lif serta bilik yg jauh dan suram
- Zulhazman (6/5): New hotel and away from shops - Took more than 20 minutes to check in. For deluxe room, It was big enough for me & wife with 2 kids. The room was clean and the internet was working well.
Bad point, there is no lift found from parking to my room. Need to use staircase. It was really hassle coz I have few heavy bags to carry with.

- adnan (2/5): Hotel were very far away from the city - Wifi were most common issued there. There were not so called fully functional hotel as there were level not operating. Overall my stay was okay only
- Yusry (4/5): Find other hotels please - 1. Not given the room that I booked
2. Noisy hotel
