• Ilse (10/5): - Prachtig verblijf op een hele goede locatie. Je zit op korte afstand van Siracusa, Noto, Marzamemi. Mooi appartement, zwembad en tuin. Wij verbleven hier 3 nachten, maar je kan hier zeker langer verblijven want er is zoveel te doen in de omgeving.

• Leisereiter1978 (10/5): - Schönes neues Appartement mit riesiger Terasse inmitten einer tollen, gepflegten Anlage (ehemaliger Landsitz eines "barone"). Toll fanden wir die Möglichkeit vor Ort selbst auf einem Outdoor-Gasgrill zu grillen! Etwas abseits gelegen, aber gut für Sternfahrten, Autobahn-Anschluss in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, zum Meer einige hundert Meter. Eine echte Empfehlung! Mit der Reinigung des Apartments hat es ein Missverständnis gegeben (vielleicht haben wir auch das Reinigungs-Schild zu knapp hinausgehängt) - sonst alles prima!

The garden and pool area are very big, well maintained and beautiful. The apartments are clean, cozy and have everything you need. It’s a wonderful, charming property with excellently maintained apartments, facilities and gardens. It’s a peaceful location within easy walking distance of Cassibile and a short drive to some lovely beaches, and the beautiful towns of Noto and Siracusa. Antonio and the rest of the staff are welcoming and helpful, making the stay thoroughly enjoyable. I’d recommend to anyone wanting to visit Sicily.

Die Anlage wird jeden Tag gesäubert und in Schuss gehalten. Die Anlage selbst ist ein Traum für jeden entspannten Urlaub mit Palmen Pool und chill Lounge ruhig Die Lage war super sehr ruhig legen aber doch sehr zentral alles ist schnell erreichbar gewesen. Zimmer super ausgestattet gewesen alles da gewesen was man für den Alltag braucht. Highlight war der sehr große Pool mit Whirlpool und Kinder Becken. Wenn man keine Lust hat zuhause zu kochen oder auswärts zu essen kann man sich das Essen in die Appartement liefern lassen hat bei uns super geklappt. Morgens früh haben wir uns immer Granita liefern lassen was sehr lecker geschmeckt hat.

Large, spacious grounds, which are once owned by a baron, have now been befitting restored and updated to offer an amazing stay to any guest that is lucky to visit. Large swimming pool, large grounds to explore, outdoor bbq area, fresh oranges and lemons to pick and first class hosts. So glad we spent a week here. My little son loved it and didn't want to leave.

• Anne-wies (10/5): Our most beautiful stay in Sicily - - beautiful pool and garden - having your own patio and kitchen - very kind host (Antonio) - supermarket/bakery/restaurants/beach on walking distance - only 8 apartments all together makes it cozy - they could better add the costs for renting pool towels in the fee, than asking €5 for each extra (old) towel - the bed could use a new mattress (and the bed makes noise) - the sunbeds at the pool would be more comfortable with mattresses

• Marcus (10/5): Fantastic venue with great hosts - Great gardens and pool were fantastic, the location was very good 15-20min drive to Syracause and similar to Noto, also some great hikes in the area. We only spent 4 nights there however there was so much to see we could have stayed longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. The room size wasn’t as big as other similar places however this didn’t matter as the use of the outdoor space more than compensated for this as we spent most of our time eating outside, using the bbq facilities and relaxing around the pool.

Antonio, his family and everyone else hosting us were super welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive from the get-go. We felt right at home and were able to enjoy our stay right away. The property and its gardens are superbly well-kept and stunningly beautiful. So is the pool area, which is clean and spacious. You seldomly see such a clean pool - very inviting for the occasional swim. Our apartment was very spacious and was super clean and fully equipped with a fully functional kitchen, containing everything that we could ever need during our stay. The cherry on top was the beautiful playground right by our apartment - our daughter loved it. Antonio, thank you and your beautiful family for having us and making our stay as pleasant as it was and really special one.

The place is very peaceful and has such an interesting history. We loved the grounds and the pool was beautiful.The location is great, centrally located to visit Marzamemi, Noto, Siracusa and a number of really nice nature reserves. We had planned to stay three nights but ended up staying five nights because we liked it so much. This was our favorite of the seven places we stayed in our three weeks in Sicily. Highly recommended!!

Antonio the chief host was superb; full of good ideas as to where to visit, what to do, etc. He also speaks very good English which was great as our Italian is very limited. • Verity (9/5): Perfect location if quiet is what is required but with great access to so many places to visit in South East Sicily - Everything. Quiet seclusion but not too far from the beach of Fontane Bianche or the small town of Cassibile. Antonio and family have put a great deal of thought and effort into producing a wonderful place to stay. The whole site is a haven of quiet and superbly maintained. The rooms have good facilities for self-catering and are comfortable. Antonio is a very friendly and informative host who is often on hand to give advice about places to visit in the area. The property is in an excellent position for 20 minute trips to Syracuse or Noto. Both are well worth a visit for their architecture and history and for some excellent restaurants and cafes. Syracuse has a river running through it and a port/harbour. Noto is on a hillside. Both have streets that are great for a stroll. Absolutely nothing to dislike

Strongly recommended and if I travel back to Sicily, I would go to the same place. Antonio and his family are also great and kind. He recommended many good places and restaurants to go and experience. There is nothing I can say that I did not like about this place.

Staff were very welcoming and offered local recommendations from restaurants to beaches to days out. Room was a good size, AC worked and the room had a nice little private outside space with good seating. Just a shame we didn’t stay long enough to make use of the communal BBQ! Would definitely stay here again. Nothing - honestly can’t find anything to pick up on.

The pool is incredible and the farmhouse has been renovated very tastefully, retaining all of its original charm. There are several beaches a short drive away (the closest is walkable) and Siracuse and Noto are both easy to reach by car (20 mins). We would highly recommend staying at Casal Sikelio.
• Al_1982 (9/5): Lovely stay at Casal Sikelio. - Lovely stay at Casal Sikelio. Very clean and comfortable, stayed with a young baby and they also provided a cot. Staff were very nice and helped us ordering a takeaway pizza one night. Swimming pool is great and while we there not too many around the pool. Would recommend to stay here. Close location to visit Noto and Siracusa & Ortigia. To pay extra for the baby cot but this seems to be the normal in Sicily.

We had the pleasure of meeting and being welcomed by the hosts family. Gardens were wonderfully kept and the pool was overwhelminngly exceptional. Clean, fantastic size, good depth so kids felt water confident. Apartment was cleaned everyday, air con great, sofa bed good for two tall children. Very chilled and friendly vibe, we had 10 lovely days here. 5 mins walk from sdomw shops/restaurants and 10/15 min walk to beach, lots of car park space if you have a car. N/a
• Sahar (9/5): Very pleasant, highly recommended - The property is very beautiful with a big and clean swimming pool. The location was very good, near beach, supermarkets and nice bars and restaurants. The rooms are nice with equipped kitchen. The staff are very helpful, as it runs by a family, the feeling of being at home is there. We faced a situation that was necessary to buy some specific medicines, the owner helped me a lot, he took me to doctor at 11 pm to get the description. If I want to mention something, I can say just about the sofa bed, that was not very comfortable.

Gas bbq was a plus so we enjoyed grilling some local produce and sitting out in the beautiful gardens or by the gorgeous pool. Nice beach nearby (Gelsomineto) and would recommend a trip to Noto.

The grounds and pool area are beautiful and have the feel of a luxury resort. An oasis. There are regular Weddings and parties held in the grounds. However, these didn't impact on our enjoyment really. You couldnt really hear them but it is something to bear in mind.

Nothing is too much trouble for the host Antonino, who goes out of his way to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. It would be easier to have a car especially if you intend to visit surrounding areas, and we were aware of this before booking but as we intended our 2 days here to be pure relaxation we did not find it a major problem not having a car. Highly recommended, stay here if you can!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic base to relax and explore - We spent a very relaxing 8 nights at Casal Sikelio in early September. Antonio's local tips were fantastic with many well recommended places to visit and eat. If you're holidaying in SE Sicily with a car, this is a great location to base yourself - a chance to relax away from the tourist hot spots and a short drive to explore Noto, Siracusa, Cavagrande, Vendicari and so much more! The pool is large and although busier on the weekends with some day visitors, there were always loungers. Highly recommended, we'd love to go back.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Tranquil Sicilian Farmhouse - Casal Sikelio is a small boutique property with currently only 7 apartments. I stayed with my mum for 7 nights in May and we were highly impressed on all accounts. The apartment was exceptionally clean, had comfy beds and was well appointed with all necessary equipment. Each also had its own outside terrace/patio which was covered in jasmine blossoms. The grounds are stunning and well appointed with a gorgeous good sized pool, which despite being slightly chilly we were still able to swim in in May. There were also plenty of sun beds for the number of guests, and herbs, orange and lemon trees that guests are able to help themselves to. We did not hire a car and were able to get around by bus and train (to Syracuse, to see a play in the Teatro Greco and to Noto to see the annual flower festival) and the owners very kindly helped us out with lifts to get to a local supermarket, restaurants and the gorgeous local Fontaine Bianche beach. However, we would recommend a hire car. It was a pleasure getting to know Antonino, the passionate and exceptionally welcoming host of Casal Sikelio. He was extremely helpful, able to answer all of our questions and incredibly accommodating with any need we had. We would definitely recommend to friends and hope to be back soon!
• Luciano (8/5): Oasi di relax a due passi dal mare - Il residence è bellissimo, la piscina e il giardino sono curati in maniera maniacale, le stanze spaziose e complete di tutto quello che può servire. Il titolare è estremamente gentile e prodigo di consigli su luoghi da visitare e ristoranti dove cenare. Unica pecca, le camere vengono rassettate solamente un giorno si e uno no che, in un soggiorno di quattro notti come il nostro, significa una sola volta. Considerato il costo, certamente non economico, e la categoria quattro stelle ritengo si potrebbe fare anche qualcosa di più. Comunque il posto è consigliatissimo.
