This was our first stay in the Magnolia Suite and it was perfect traveling as a family with a teenager because of the extra adjoining room - spacious and nicely appointed. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the season. The staff were thoughtful and went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed the special dinner menu, breakfast and relaxing one evening in the Library. We cannot thank the innkeepers enough for their generous and gracious hospitality. Thank you Fairview Inn for making our holidays merry and bright!

Feel like and welcome back into my used to be home when I stay there. The warmly greeted by the staff. We are excellent. Dinner at the Library lounge always a delight along with a big glass of wine. We have a guest pantry with soft drink like cookies and cake. Also water sodas and wine are available for gas in the hands. Holly recommend to stay at the Fairview Inn for some southern hospitality!

Each room was perfectly stocked with all the needed amenities. The bed and sheets were possibly the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced while traveling. Breakfast was perfect and the Library Lounge is a must for dinner. We highly recommend staying here, if ever in Jackson!

• paultK7165BE (10/5): Where else would we want to stay in Jackson? - We found the Fairview scanning Apple maps. All we can say is "what a find!!!" The inn itself makes a great first impression as you arrive with its mix of elegance and charm. Our room was spacious, clean and attractively furnished. The grounds included an interesting garden, a gazebo and plenty of outdoor seating. There was also a small, nicely arranged, well stocked and always open kitchenette. It is a bed and breakfast of course, and the breakfast menu (and the actual food LOL) was really great. We were not there long enough to try everything but I especially liked the build your own omelette as well as oatmeal smothered with yoghurt and berries. The best part was the staff. Everyone, from the innkeeper to the staff that maintained our room, was very competent, but also very personable. Although they were all very busy it was easy to engage them in conversation. And everyone was always willing to help make our stay enjoyable and restful. The review tips recommend including the good and the bad. The good was great which made it impossible for us to notice a bad if there was any. So where else would we want to stay in Jackson? Nowhere!!

This boutique hotel is full of charm, and our room was very clean with a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s rest. The on-site bar and restaurant were also a highlight—quaint, welcoming, and a perfect place to relax after a day out. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we would highly recommend the Fairview Inn to anyone visiting Jackson.

It was located on the second floor with access by stairs or an old fashion elevator. Close the door and metal gate; press the botton and you're at your destination. The bar and restaurant are in the library that has an old time feeling. My first night I ordered the best catfish I've ever eaten with a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The breakfast menu is a la carte with an extensive Southern selection. I enjoyed the solitude and gardens and highly recommend the Inn for a get away.

I met old friends there and had drinks before going out to dinner. We also had a nightcap after dinner. The staff were incredibly professional, kind, and accommodating with my requests. I will definitely stay here one Torie visits. I highly recommend this Inn…and the bar for drinks anytime!

Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. After settling in, we went down to one of their outdoor seating areas to relax. Meals were great. The grounds are simply breathtaking! So much charm. Highly recommend this quaint Inn!

• angelasP1019MH (10/5): “Fix me another mimosa, please?” - Did you ever have a perfect weekend at a destination event? I just did! The Fairview Inn, Jackson, Mississippi. I hosted a 40 person bridal shower for my niece and a smaller family birthday party on consecutive days last weekend in a gorgeous refurbished 1908 Southern mansion amidst lovely grounds. Guests came from several states and were transported to an earlier time in the lovely setting while enjoying delicious food, great service, individually curated rooms, and their favorite cocktails. Innkeepers Tamar and Peter Sharp have created a very special Southern hospitality experience. We somehow managed to feel like honored guests and family at the same time. At the end of the weekend, no one wanted to leave. We all left trying to figure out a reason to return as soon as possible!
• CazzaBarnes (10/5): The best bed linen I’ve ever slept in! - Stayed here for one night en route to Florida and it’s a real gem. Lovely rooms, very clean, comfy bed and the smoothest, softest bed linen I’ve ever experienced! As with majority of hotels there was a coffee machine but no kettle for making tea. As a seasoned traveller I always pack a kettle be sadly left it behind when I left 😔. Very quiet, lots of parking and a great choice of breakfast options. 100% recommend

I received extensive text-based directions and a very impersonal key pickup, which was the extent of the "hospitality" provided and not at all what I expected, based on the website's promises of amenities and experience. Stayed in "Faulkner's Nook" which turned out to be a repurposed storage area around the back of the property. The members of the staff I interacted with (at breakfast and housekeeping) were fantastic and welcoming, but overall, the experience felt less like an inn and more like a houseshare/Airbnb experience.

Because it was election night I wanted a smaller hotel with no conference halls. It’s a beautiful hotel, just outside downtown Jackson. I stayed in ‘The Nook’ wich was perfect for me as a solo guest. Very clean and nicely themed. I could park my car very close by. All who worked here where very friendly and even helped me with some questions about my car and fuelling it up. Breakfast was delicous!

The staff, especially in the Library were 100% there for the guests. We loved Jackson! We travelled to Jackson Mississippi on our Southern Literary Trail and Civil Rights Trail road trip. So many sites to see and good people in Jackson making things happen.
• Scenic320730 (10/5): Lovely stay at a charming boutique Inn - We were in town for a wedding party and stayed one night. Weather wasn’t the greatest so we weren’t outside much but lovely gardens and outdoor seating when it is better. This place is a hidden jewel. So not a typical chain hotel experience. Each of the rooms is unique. We were in the Spanish suite. It was very clean and bed was very comfortable. There is a guest” pantry” I think it is called with cookies, coffee cake , drinks etc. available for no extra charge for our area of rooms which is a sweet bonus. Additional items are available for a small charge . You take on the honor system and write down what you took and they add to your bill. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and ample portions . We would definitely stay here again. !

• doodle1957 (6/5): Second Rate at Best - The Fairview Inn looks great online but in person is a different experience altogether. This sprawling inn features every conceivable decor style imaginable - a hodgepodge so cluttered, tasteless and disjointed. If they hired a professional decorator who did the place from stem to stern with a vintage theme that complements the exterior, this would be a showplace. The reception area is a small office that is anything but welcoming. It too is cluttered, even with a cat or dog carrier in the shelf. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Bathroom fixtures were improperly installed, with the vanity mirror about to fall off the wall.

The staff and owners of Fairview welcomed me, facilitated with local needs I had. The Fairview had accessibility to everyday items without the hassle, I could get water, soft drinks, fruit, homemade pound cake🙌🏻. All bed and bath necessities felt luxurious. The Library was great. Thank you again to the Fairview for helping at a difficult time.

• Holly (10/5): A really fun place to stay. - The room was wonderful and elegant. We stayed in the Leopard Rose room. Breakfast was also very good, and all of the staff were very helpful and kind. We had dinner in the Library. I do not like fish, which was most of the options on the menu, so I ordered the $42 steak. Unfortunately, it was mostly fat which was disappointing. The four or five bites I had were flavorful, but I didn't feel like it was worth the $42.

Meticulous attention to detail, with period pieces throughout. The room was huge, beautifully-appointed, with a large bathroom. We especially loved the two completely separate sink areas, plus the two-person whirlpool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easily one of the best stays we've ever had
• Jessica (8/5): Delightful - Everything was beautiful and way beyond our expectations. The only thing that was not 100% pleasant about our stay was the fact that it was HOT in our room. We stayed in the double room on the third floor in the main house and it was rather toasty in there. I turned the thermostat down as low as it would go (68) and we had both ceiling fans on and it was still very warm in there. I know it is somewhat winter and the heat was on downstairs so all of the heat was rising to our room.
• Aline (1/5): Bad - Not good price for money. No ventilation. Very expensive for a dirty carpet and broken bed. I want to however highlight that the employees are incredibly nice and professional.

• Lourdes (10/5): - Wonderful hidden gem. Imagine living in the 1800’s but with all the convenience and amenities of the 21st century. The restsurant and bar are great snd they accommodate you to your preferences. Excellent staff. Everything clean and so inviting. The whole hotel and staff make you feel like if you at home. Definitely will stay here again! Thank you for making our stay magical and perfect in every way.
• Jacqueline (10/5): Most relaxing date weekend we could have asked for to celebrate 17 years of marriage. We will be back! - The comfortable, at home feel it provides. Parking is tricky but there was always an open spot!

• Yolande (10/5): This was a very comfortable and friendly place to stay - The location was good and made it easy to get to the attractions we wanted to see. The breakfast was really nice, I have never been to a facility that you get a menu to choose what you want to eat when breakfast is included with your room. I loved that you could get a cookie whenever you wanted or a drink. It was a really nice place to stay at and I would stay again if we are ever in that area.
