Guest Reviews
- Chantal (10/5): - We did not get to spend the night as we were not aware of how far everything is from anything up north. The owners did check in with us via txt/app and stayed up well past an unholy hour to greet us.The property looked beautiful
- Mary (6/5): - The place is very clean and if you need to have a space to cook for yourself, they provide a nice clean kitchen. However, we needed adequate WiFi and it wasn’t just slow, We couldn’t do anything on the Internet. Also, they need to trim the weeds away from the front door and round the parking lot to try to get the insects back a bit.
- Alex (10/5): - Interesting vibe, really quiet and out of the way. Felt like a home away from home.
- Kevin (10/5): Great stay - I booked this overnight stay on short notice due to changes in my itinerary. The initial curb appeal was not fantastic, but the rest of the stay was. The hosts are very kind and attentive, the decor is warm and welcoming, and the room comfortable.
The only issue was I arrived cold and wet on a motorcycle, and the central heat was not turned on. Also, the shower briefly got cold in the middle, but returned to normal. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hosts were great, the lodge was off the beaten path (which was fantastic), and the room was perfect. Would def stay again.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great hotel. Friendly staff, very clean and well organized. Highly recommended.
- casi (10/5): - This lodge was very clean and quiet with very friendly staff.
You have access to a kitchen with coffee and tea with a fridge for things you may want cold. They serve food also, though I didn’t use that service. My room was clean and comfortable.
I was working and the internet seemed fine for my purposes. Although it did drop me a few times, it wasn’t for more than a minute.
This property is NOT directly in Whitehorse so a car is needed to get groceries. However, you need a car almost everywhere up here! I would stay here again and recommend this place for a short or longer stay.
- Tayma (10/5): - Great space and wonderful service
- Katheryn (10/5): Cozy Place! - Staff were friendly!! Place was immaculate! Kitchen area available to guests. Great place to stay. I wish it had been winter...they say the Northern lights are spectacular!
- Cindy (8/5): - Very quiet and extremely clean. Access to kitchen which is extremely clean and helpful. Fan in room. Some issues with hot water running consistently in shower- alternated from ice to scalding. Extremely friendly. Loved location- quiet and safe. Great view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - This place is a bit outside Whitehorse, but worth the stop. Yes, they ask you take your shoes off while in the lodge, but that's why it is immaculately clean. There is a full kitchen for guests to use. It's a quiet, out of the way place worth going out of your way for.
- Kelsey (10/5): Comfortable + Cozy Stay - Our stay at the lodge was great for our family. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming (early check in, playpen/crib for our toddler to sleep in, highchair provided). We stayed in the caribou room, with a beautiful view facing directly north which would be PERFECT to catch the northern lights right from your room. We were able to use the shared kitchen to prepare dinner and there is everything you need and more offered. (Coffee, tea, water, etc) It was very quiet at night. Thank you for a wonderful nights stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly, comfortable and extremely clean! - A very pleasant stay. It was quiet and very clean! We were wishing we could have gotten there earlier to enjoy it more. We were running very late at 2am. We were charged a $15 late arrival fee per room; but, we were just appreciative that we could still check in so late. Very friendly service.
- Joean (8/5): - A very comfortable and cute lodge! It was quiet and relaxing. There is not much nearby, but there is a pretty view from the back, games in the common area, and a full kitchen that guests can use.
- HARUKO (10/5): - Very peaceful location and great staff.
- Kirstin (10/5): Great stay! - I have to admit that when I first passed through Whitehorse I brushed this hotel off because it was so far out of town. On my return, however, it was one of only two available. I wish I would have stayed here the whole time! This was a WONDERFUL hotel! The room was immaculate and comfortable. Staff was incredibly friendly. It was also the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at and it made for a great night's sleep! Breakfast was superb. I loved that there was a kitchen available for guests to use. I highly recommend this hotel.
- jufen (8/5): - Ok
- MORGAN (10/5): - This was more of a bed&breakfast than a motel or hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely everything was. Very cute rooms and very nice service. Highly recommend!
- Brandon (6/5): - This was a weird place they make you take your shoes off before walking in, and ask you to leave them in their entry way.
- Savannah (10/5): - The property may be out of town, it gives you an amazing view of the sky filled with stars and definitely a great place for northern lights.
The rooms are clean and spacious and the facility has everythingYou would need for any short or long trip. The staff are super kind and helpful.
- Antonio (8/5): Pleasant stay - Spacious room and bathroom, pretty new and well maintained. Super quiet. Well stocked shared kitchen. Nice patio outside with mountains views. Friendly staff.
- Devin (10/5): - Such an amazing place to stay! Only about 15 minutes out of town and it’s we’ll worth it! Amazing views of the mountains and the northern lights! We saw them right out the front door. Super clean and amazing staff. Some people complained about no TV, but I mean your in the Yukon why do you need a TV in the room… they do have one in the main area if that’s a deal breaker… overall amazing stay and highly recommend
- MARY (10/5): - Everything was clean. Staff was welcoming. Nice comfortable stay.
- Eleanor (10/5): - Easy drive south of the airport. Clean and friendly. Love the full kitchen (shared) for self prep meals.
- David (10/5): - After a long drive, our stay was quiet and peaceful. A wonderful experience!
- boekhren karyostyko (10/5): - A superb lodge, friendly and excellent staff. Good place and away from light pollution. Perfect place to watch aurora borealis. Sadly only open during autumn and winter. I’ll definitely come again if i were to come to whitehorse again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Having a breakfast prepared by an owner. - It was a great stay with new experience.
- Rye (10/5): - Very nice 15min to town
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property location off Alaaka Hwy is quite some distance from Whitehorse. Otherwise property is quiet for a good night's rest for weary travelers. Lack of interaction with staff after 4 PM with clear instructions for self checkin is a different experience. However, it's a lodge and not a hotel chain and acceptable.
- Alexis (10/5): Well kept lodge - We checked in really late so we didn't experience the lodge for long, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a to go option which was nice for getting on the road early like we did. I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place for short or long stay. The view is awesome from the property. It's a great place to relax and not far from town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and quite. Wifi a little bit slow. Got the Aurora suite very nice, like home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - t's only 6 rooms total, so the place is very quiet. And it's very clean as well. Amazing view from the common area deck of the mountains. There is a shared kitchen available and a common area with tables, some couches and a TV. It's a quasi B&B. I'm not a fan of B&Bs but I liked this place, it didn't have the B&B vibe. And the owners were very un-intrusive, I barely saw them, which for me was great.
The only downside, is it's about 15 minutes away from the city. To me that wasn't a big deal, I liked the peacefulness of being out in the country. But if you want to be right there, within walking distance of things, this isn't the right place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have stayed here twice. Like it. Quiet. Very clean. Comfortable beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was spotlessly clean, quiet and spacious. Well-designed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I saw absolutely "nobody". hotel staff ? guests ? nobody. But I felt I was being watched, kinda creepy.
- Boyce (10/5): - A delightful stay. I would like to come back in winter
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was so clean homey and friendly. If i am ever in the area i would definately stay here again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, clean lovely surroundings. The only drawback was not enough hot water to wash long hair. We look forward to staying there again!
- JONATHAN (10/5): Excellent! - Best place we stayed out of a 10 day road trip. Recommended for military families passing through. Safe, quiet, clean, and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super clean. Friendly. Bed was not great.
- Kathy (10/5): - This was one of the most interesting places I have stayed at!! Everything very neat and tidy and the owners were very wonderful people. The one strange thing about it was you had to take your shoes off upon interning and put in “house only” shoes. I think that’s a Japanese custom..
- John (10/5): Good Experience - Different but overall a good experience. Enjoyed the shared kitchen - great idea. WiFi was pretty weak. Not really convient for eating out but manageable. Room was nice. Really liked the not-another-hotel atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Visit was fine... - The stay was fine - it was quite hot for Canada in July so it took a while for the room to cool down (not the hotel's fault)...the door was a little glitchy but we figured it out...hotel several miles from White Horse but that was our fault for not double checking the booking...
- Nikki (10/5): - great view and very quiet and relaxing. Beds were too firm but everything else was great
- Mel (10/5): - Clean, quiet and beautiful location. Comfortable room.
- Shelly (8/5): Read the fine print ! - Major road block to start our stay, when we originally booked this accommodation it was not indicated on the main booking site that you have to make arrangements if arriving after hours, there is no front desk at this lodge and the door was locked upon our arrival, we rang the doorbell, knocked and even left a message with the number indicated on the email and no response. We had to drive back into Whitehorse and rent another hotel room at a higher rate. We asked to speak to the manager and he/she was never available. Would like to be compensated for the night that we had to return to town!
As for the remainder of the stay the room was very clean. Beautiful scenery and the one staff member on site was very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this lodge to others but ensure you read the fine print !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was difficult to find, physical address did not match the website address. Never saw a staff member during my stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Never seen any staff - Supposed to be a bed and breakfast. No breakfast at all. Just coffee
No t.v. in room
