- Silvia (7/5): Good but could be better - The place is nice and clean but a bit run down in parts. Far from the town, so a scooter is needed. The food is nice and the breakfast buffet is good. The staff are friendly and very nice and helpful. It’s a bit far so you need a scooter to move around. The scooter rental there is double the price of any rentals outside the hotel. They don’t accept credit cards at all, so that can be inconvenient. The tours are also overpriced in comparison to anywhere else.

NO HAY AGUA CALIENTE, he tenido agua caliente 1 solo dia aun previo aviso.
- Donna Kimberlee (6/5): We enjoyed the bohemian experience the little villas 4km to town. Breakfast was small but great staff very friendly. - The main area of the resort was very bohemian they played great music by the pool. Beds were very hard shower was down to driips. TV weak
- Marcos (10/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): The resort is a jem…well take - The comfort, the food, the staff, the cleanliness, the facilty Nothing

- Anas (10/5): Couldn't recommend enough! - We absolutely loved our stay in Lio Villas. It was a perfect getaway from the busy town centre, but still close enough to the town. It offered a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it easy to unwind and and enjoy the surroundings.
The highlight of the property is the staff, that made our days so much better! They were incredibly kind, attentive, and helped us with everything we needed.
A special thank you to Carl, who was amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and looked after throughout the whole stay, and he helped us plan a day to day itinerary in El Nido.
The food available at the pavillon was incredible, and the breakfast was also nice and fresh with different options everyday.
The best accommodation on our whole Philippines trip for sure!
- NELSON (10/5): -
- Petr (4/5): A perfect manifestation of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movie - The staff were attentive and friendly. The pool area and garden is nice. - The property looks much nicer in the pictures than in reality. Generally, the accommodation is poorly and cheaply built and there is zero attention to detail, e.g. plugs are old and things come out of them, toilet seat was not fixed and moving, handle from door was falling off, two A/C units out of which only one working, TV under maintenance and not operational). Bad drainage, the balcony / terrace floods after rain.
- Plumbing is poor. We had no hot water for 2 out of 5 days of our stay. Even after a fix, the hot water was not actually hot, just lukewarm. So no hot shower with good pressure for the entirety of our stay. This is something one would reasonably expect at a price of over £150 per night in the Philippines.
- During one day, there was no water at all.
- There was a period with no Internet
- Cleaning is poor, no attention to detail (mouldy ceiling, dirty windows, not cleaned since the building was probably built, and anything apart the floor is not nice to touch)
- There are many birds in the reception area which is also the restaurant. While this is nice, it's not awesome when birds poo on your head or in your food, which is what happened to 3 out of 4 members of our family during the stay.
- Food in the restaurant is significantly more expensive than in restaurants in El Nido, which doesn't reflect the quality.
- The property initially charged my UK card using a plastic surgery business in the UK, which I blocked as it was suspicious. They then explained it was them, but my card issuer insisted on terminating the card, which meant I was without a credit card for a few months (as I was abroad) and couldn't rent a car without it.
- Services booked from the reception are significantly more expensive than what you can book yourself in El Nido.
There is nothing much nice apart from attentive staff who are trying to save the situation. It's literally as in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movie.

- Natalie (6/5): - It was a really nice hotel - they have done a great job on the aesthetics. Beautiful pool and villas. The staff were very lovely and helpful. The villa is quite a long way from the town of el nido (may 15 mins by tuktuk), but was easy to get drivers. It is very close to Lio Beach which is a beautiful beach full of great restaurants. We stayed in Villa 10. (Family villa). It is a lovely room - great aircon. The beds upstairs were very very hard and my kids had sore backs. The water pressure could be improved. You need to turn the shower to cold to get hot water (and the reverse for cold and there is no balcony (therefore no where to dry all your wet clothes / swimming stuff).

- Sweet Jonalyn (7/5): just ok. - food and accommodating staff we dont like 2nd level room - very steep stairs. broken tv. heater not working well. parking is not yet finished. rough road going to the establishment. booking.com map is not accurate.
- Francine (10/5): - THE STAFF IS GREAT! I really appreciate that they reached out to confirm our ETA and they warmly welcomed us when we arrived. They were very very accommodating throughout our entire stay. They even helped us out when we had a little mishap in town. The breakfast options are a bit limited but it isn't really an issue considering that the resort isn't huge AND the food is pretty good. They even packed us some snacks for our island tour and our trip to Puerto Princesa! Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay!
- Terry (10/5): - Nice rustic native vibe with the bamboo siding and plant life. Cozy rooms. Food is very good. Pool area and main hall a nice touch. Road out to the resort is a bit tore upnand bumpy but not really a big deal to us. Takes about 15-20,minutes to get to town but worth it for the peace and guite.
- Matteo (9/5): - The kindness and helpfulness of Angelo and all the staff
- Anita (8/5): -
- Rina (9/5): Beautiful people and great pool - The people where absolutely amazing and the rooms are so nice and really well layed out and comfortable Location was not great and a lot of mosquitoes around which is not ideal , mainly due to location.
- Kuhn (8/5): -
- Venkat Ellendula (5/5): -
- patrik (8/5): -
- Carl (7/5): Overpriced for the location !! - Nice room , nice restaurant/ bar area
Friendly staff The location is poor , it’s down a back lane which turns into a mud track far away from the beach and any amenities
- Maria Isabel (10/5): They made our El Nido stay very memorable. They assisted us with everything we needed. The entire stay was very personal - The rooms are nice, very clean and comfortable. The food is amazing. Definitely a must try!
- Brando (9/5): Amazing place to stay in El Nido - The hospitality, the friendliness of the staff Nothing
- Jos (8/5): Manager was doing his best i hope he gets full support with realising a perfect stay for all guests! - The rooms where outstanding the bed was great! Breakfast
- Giuseppe (5/5): - The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and ideal for those looking for a peaceful stay away from the busy town center. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is kind and helpful. However, the Wi-Fi doesn't work at all, which was quite frustrating. Also, the pool lights are always off in the evening, making the pool area uninviting after dark
- Novelyne (7/5): -
- Guest (3/5): - Staff especially the Manager Ronald, very accommodating and helpful. Facilities need more cleaning. The bar and dining tables were a bit dusty. Location was far from town.
- Joy (10/5): Worth staying if you love comfort and quiet. - The hotel itself was great. Comfortable beds, great amenities and wonderful communal and pool area. The staff managed by Sir Roland was very kind and Mr. Roland helped us organised all our trips to town and to the airport.
We arrived in the middle of typhoon season and yet still spent a great holiday with the help of Lio Villas Resort. It’s a bit away from town Proper but there are many tricycles to take you there .
- Sebastiaan (6/5): Pleasant - The staff is very friendly. The place has a lot of potential but it lacks maintenance like the green algae on the deep side of the pool. I got sick from the diner. Spend the whole night on the toilet unfortunately. Overall the hygiene standards need to be improved, especially for the high price you pay for this resort.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kabigting (10/5): This place is perfect for a restful in-betweens of island activities. - This property is best for people who want to rest quietly after a full day of activities.
Food is great. Definitely great value for money.
Staff were very attentive and accommodating. The road leading to the property needs improvement. Good thing the trip will be worth it once you get to the property.
- Alice (9/5): All in all, the hotel stay was nice. Would have liked to see the pool cleaned & bleached. - Free breakfast was awesome. Staff was very kind, accomodating, professional & friendly. The resort had helped us with tricycle transfers to the main town as well as to other areas, ie Lio Beach which was only 10 min away. The tricycle fares were quite expensive particularly since 2 of us were seniors & the distance was not that far.
It rained a lot & there is a big puddle in the front of the main gate entrance. This needs to be remedied ASAP.
Also, the hotel said it would help us with the El Nido Tours. They did but the quality was substandard. The food supplied by the boat tour was not at enticing.
- Parth (7/5): it was not as expected , but the staff was very kind and tried to coverup - breakfast room was not worth for money
- ERIC (6/5): - Pool was dirty but the overall place was ok. Needs more staff and attention to details with their service and guests.
- Fetad (4/5): Disappointing - The staffs were friendLy. Quite a few. AC wasn't cooling the room, pool was mucky, mosquitoes in the room. Hopefully the government can help their locals as the road on the way so rough. We had to transfer to a different resort.
- Agarwal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Emily (10/5): Perfect stay - Our experience at Lio Villas was amazing. We arrived before check-in as we had an early transfer. The staff were more than happy to let us use the pool facilities before our room was available - and they prepared the room early for us! The pool is lovely, the food was one of the best meals I had in the whole of The Philippines. Our room was absolutely massive, done really nicely and the air con worked perfectly. Wifi was fantastic too. The staff were all lovely, and even prepared breakfast for us at 5am before a flight. It's a bit out of El Nido town, but we got tricycles pretty easily to and from town/the airport. Would highly recommend this place! It was all great!
- Kimayong (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were friendly 👍 the good point in the Villas.. Cold shower, toilet seat broken, dirty surroundings, the eating area is very dusty as work was going on whilst no other space where to eat food. Dilapidated shalleys eaten by termites yet expensive.. WiFi connection is poor. Cannot watch TV programs with joy.
- Penny (6/5): Attractive villas, is quiet setting, about 10mins by tuk tuk into either El Nido, or Lio Beach - The room was very spacious, pleasant and nicely styled. The pool and setting was very nice. Because it was out of town, the setting was quiet and a bit rural, away from noise of town. Staff were helpful and attentive. The location was not within walking distance of either El Nido or Lio Beach, and the access road was quite rough. We managed fine with Tuk Tuk and a motorbike and staff were always happy to help organise this. We felt the room was somewhat expensive for the location and facilities
- Hugo (7/5): Good -
- Stefanie (10/5): Thank you- a lovely stay - Very friendly staff, went above and beyond to make you comfortable. Quiet pool area.
- Sherrie (8/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Lio Villas! The staff were some of the best—super accommodating and genuinely welcoming. The pool and food were both amazing. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the crowds, this is the perfect place. They offer motorcycle rentals and tours, and they’ll gladly arrange everything for you. We really appreciated how well they took care of us from start to finish.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent food, great drinks, comfy bed and a/c keeps the room cool. Location worked fine for us but it is quite far from town through close to Lio Beach (not walking distance). We'll stay again. The lock on the sliding door was flimsy, insecure and a knuckle buster. Hotel is on dirt road so dusty when dry and muddy when raining.
- Ozan (7/5): Great experience. - Amazing team, super nice and helpful staff, made my stay super comfortable. Especially Clark, he has helped me a lot and made me so happy for the times I needed help in my trip. Then the manager Ronald, he has provided a big flexibility about my check in-check out time and also for my needs even after I checked out. And the last but not least the chef, amazing Marlon, cooked for me in the middle of the night and his food is quite delicious!
You can book anything (island hopping tours, transport and anything else through the hotel and they are quite helpful and not overcharging for this service.
To be honest, rooms are just okay, especially for the price it is a bit less that I was expecting. The concept of cottage is my favorite but there could be some updates and renovations to make it better. Tho always enough water (hot&cold) and the breakfast was pretty nice (included to room).
The location is far away from the chaos of down town, but still close enough to go there in 15 mins. Lio beach is just 10 mins away and it is amazing there. Definitely recommended.
- Sylvia (10/5): Thank you for a wonderful holiday! We will miss your hapy faces. We wish you lots of success with the resort! - The absolute best part of this resort is the people working there. We have never met such accomodating, kind and caring resort staff. Always happy to see us and ask what we got up to that day, we loved talking to them. When we felt unwell, they went out and got us medicine. Nothing was ever too hard to do, and they were always around to offer advice and help.
The pool was just beautiful! We loved the view and the atmosphere. The best food we had in el nido was from the chef manager. Absolutely delicious. Breakfast menu wasn’t large, but they were always happy to change things around if needed. We couldn’t get enough of the breakfast anyway, was delicious. You can see that new management is trying their best to improve the resort and make it better. But we were very satisfied and loved it there.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shae (7/5): We enjoyed our stay at Lio Villas however we will look to book somewhere closer/in Lio beach if we come back. - The staff service was mostly fantastic and the pool was lovely. The food was hit and miss. Would’ve been nice to have a few more breakfast options
- Amtiii (5/5): Nice property-very friendly staff-location was disappointing - Set Breakfast menu was limited==Dinner menu was also limited. Staff was very very good. Certainly tried their best. I think some time training by the Management would even allow the staff to even do a better job. Again, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool was very nice and clean. Location to Lio Beach was really nice-only 10 minute trike ride--nice beach and also a few options for food and drink...it was certainly a saving grace location wise.... Location was deceiving for when we booked. If you didn't want to take a 30 minute trike ride into town in the evening, you were stuck with limited dinner menu. Had trouble with the lock on our sliding door , the only way into our unit, and it was not treated with sense of urgency . Part of road to the Villas was dirt and very much pot holed.
- Rom (10/5): It was perfect, no bad things. -
- Ignė (9/5): Superb -
- Norbert (9/5): Lovely stay in El Nido - Lio Villas are a beautiful place with a great pool to chill by after a long day exploring the islands around El Nido. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was tasty. I would stay again. It's a bit far from the center, if you don't mind the 20 minute tricycle ride it's a great option as it's quiet. They could have offered a bigger variety and portions for breakfast but it was tasty.
- Kristina (7/5): I liked it - Beautiful surrounding
Nice modern rooms Maintenence needed and restaurant staff profesionaliai needed aswell
- Bonfigli (5/5): Not a good experience - Unfortunately, the first night we arrived, we realised that the room was not clean, dirty sheets, old and dusty carpets, shower and sink not draining
The welcome was not the best kind of cold ...
We waited for the sheets to be replaced, but the staff was uncapable of doing it at night
They offered us a plate of fruit and cleaned the room on the next day.... we appreciate it but still many lack of attention to the rest of our staying
I rented a scooter for a few days the last one I gave it back 2h later and they charged me 800php (while at the beginning, I paid 700php per day ...500php the price is offered everywhere in El Nido)
Breakfast not good
Excursion to Tour A and C was quite expensive but private with no towels on the boat (the hotel confirmed the towels were supplied)
We paid more than 200€ per night, which is really too expensive for the service received
I'm not going back again in this structure they need to improve a lot of things
- Sarah (10/5): An oasis . Loved it . Great staff pool and rooms - Superb large rooms . Fantastic pool . Very relaxing location . A little oasis Nothing . It was only 20 mins Tuk Tuk away from el nido so not a problem . Down a dirt track road which is a shock at first but its genuine Philippines .
- Maria (9/5): Superb - Free and strong signals WIFI
Beautiful, nice ambiance with loads of beautiful plants, flowers and trees outside that made you feel calm while you are sitting on the balcony outside of your room.
Good size of bedrooms, comfy beds, aircondition, television, toiletries, soft towels, with complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee and kettle provided.
I suggest to put privacy cover for the shower door (2 single bedroom)
Good size and clean pool.
They maintained the cleanliness of the
place.
The staff are very friendly and well accomodating.
Delicious breakfast.
You can book a massage with fee into your room and they are excellent, we felt better and relaxed after the massage.
Overall I still recommend this if you are not with senior or little kids. The location is far from the city and airport.
No shuttle provided but they can book transport and rent a motorbike with extra charge.
The road going to the place is bumpy but the government needs to develop the roads in some of the other places not only the main roads.
Slept late because you could hear the music sounds from outside.
No hairdryer provided in the room but you could get in the reception, unfortunately there was no more available when I went to get one.
Needs to be careful in walking inside the room because of the wooden floor is slightly slippery.
- Svetlana (7/5): Good - Staff very nice and helpful. Pool is nice. This place is ok, for the price you are paying, you have higher expectations. Expect a very bumpy road leading to this place.
For breakfast, there is a choice of 4 items, every day, the same menu. With that you get water and coffee/ tea, but the coffee taste is more like water than coffee. No other drinks included. You can order drinks from the regular restaurant menu and they will charge you afterwards.
It would be nice if some fresh juice would be offered to guests and a variety of fruits.
The breakfast was very weak, and eating the same food every day gets a little boring if you are staying for more than a few days.. and if you have preferences, well then good luck.
The room was good, although there were 2 sinks, and one sink didn’t have running water..
This place is more picturesque than in reality.
- Timothy (9/5): Superb - Really kind and amazing staff
- Shui (8/5): Nice hotel, but a bit far from the beach. - Nice pool. We could hear the neighbours talking from our room.
- Bjarne (3/5): Poor - not worth the money..
slow staff
- Kerry (9/5): Great stay, loved the pool, staff were helpful and friendly. - Friendly, helpful staff, great pool and room. Bit far out of town and bathroom smelled.
- Melanie (7/5): Recommend if you need some beautiful chill time. - Beautifully styled. Looks tropical and bohemian. Quiet. Nice staff. Boutique and small.
Great for a quiet escape. Bar area gorgeous with lovely cocktails. Room smelt mouldy. Very off-putting.
We needed accommodation closer to action, so a little too out of the way for us.
Family of 5 so needed two tricycles in el Nido and they are a bit more expensive here. 10 mins back to town.
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing -
- Zharia (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (6/5): Pleasant - They have a nice pool and the room has a beautiful design and space.
Also the food was really Yummy!!!! The location is horrendous. It seems that is an unfinished hotel and they are a lot of things not working or broken.
Also, they don't have a nice ambience.
- Hello (9/5): Quiet, Comfortable & Beautiful stay - Beautiful comfortable quiet hotel & pool, helpful w/tours & transportation Far from downtown BUT transport to & from downtown areas are very easy
- Raissa (3/5): Not worth the price. Location is terrible, staff are nice but lacks experience with big groups - The pool was nice. For the price that I paid, this place is not worth it.
The location was very inconvenient as it was pretty far from El Nido town. Even the nearest beach (Lio Beach) was a 30min walk or 10min drive (according to google maps). The road going to the hotel is very bad and you won’t find that many tricycles around. You will have to rely on booking with the hotel for transport if you don’t have your own. A one way tricycle ride to El Nido town will set you back 300 Php or if you’re booking a van transfer, it will be 1,500 Php.
The first night when we arrived, we asked if we could get food delivered to the hotel. They said it was fine but they did not inform us that there was going to be a corkage fee for the food we brought in. We only found out about it after we asked if we could borrow some plates and silverware.
They messed up our breakfast order multiple times. For one of the days, we asked the night before for our breakfast to be served at 7:30am due to having an early tour booked the next day and they agreed but when we arrived in the morning, they did not have anything prepared. I’m assuming that due to the kitchen being in a hurry to prepare our food, they did not do a proper quality check before serving. The sunny side up eggs were barely cooked as well as some of the sausages. On our last day, they did not have enough ingredients for our breakfast. They ran out of dried fish and tried to serve us dried squid instead. Due to strict dietary requirements we had to ask for a different dish but since they didn’t have enough ingredients, they had to give us much smaller serving portions compared to the previous days.
We decided to book our island hopping tour through the hotel for convenience sake but the staff did not give us any details of our booking, so we assumed that the van driver who picked us up at the hotel would know the details of our booking (such as the name of the agency of our tour company) but even they didn’t know anything.
- Jerica (10/5): Great place to stay for family and away from the city -
- Jason (10/5): beyond perfection! - Fabulous Resort
What a great find! Lio Villas Resort is a lovely little hideaway that’s perfect if you want to escape the crowds. The garden vibe is so refreshing, and the rooms are simple but super comfy. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warmth and exceptional service made us feel right at home. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome, They also gave us great tips on what to do around El Nido, which made our trip even better. The pool area was a highlight — such a chill spot to hang out. The breakfast could’ve had a few more options, but honestly, it didn’t bother us much. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it to friends! honestly i couldnt find a thing!!! the place is perfect..it meets our expectations. we found the tranquility we needed when we were in el nido. kudos to this place, defntly ill be back sometime soon!!!!
- Kerk (10/5): Absolutely loved my stay at Lio Villas Resort! The place is so peaceful and surrounded by gorgeous greenery - it felt li - Ambiance, huge beds and rooms. Away from noisy town. Perfect for relaxation The road. Their government need to fix all the roads
- Mr (10/5): Very Beautiful Hotel - Very Clean and Nice hotel. The pool was very nice and the room was was also very nice.
We not have long there as was leaving but if stay longer would of liked to stay here as feel very nice.
I like the hotel very much.
- connie (6/5): - I asked for a late checkout and was initially told it would be no problem as there was nobody booked after us, but alas apparently the manager had a problem with that. I was willing to overlook problems because of the late checkout, but now I will air my grievances. The AC unit upstairs was not working, and there was no phone so I could not report this. It was pouring rain and no umbrellas so I could not go to reception. No TV in room as advertised. WIFI was VERY slow or not working at all. There was no hot water for shower. No restaurant on sight. A stinky dog hanging around lobby area. The pool was nice and so was the gentleman working reception. Will not return.
