Guest Reviews
- Kobler (9/5): - Basic motel but clean, good location, and had microwave, fridge, table, was comfortable. I requested a bathtub which I got but could not use it for a bath. No plug or stopper.
No one was at location though check in was still easy.
- John (8/5): -
- Matt (9/5): -
- Alvin (8/5): - Great value Could have plowed snow earlier in day
- Klay (9/5): -
- Timothy (5/5): Location and facility at check-in was ok.. Power outage, management deflection was not acceptable. - Location, cleanliness, AC worked well. We had a problem at midnight when I used the microwave. The electricity went out so I called the help number. The manager picked up immediately and asked me after I told her that a fuse went out "if I was using a hair dryer". I was told that they would fix the fuse asap. That was about 25 minutes later. The room was getting hot & stuffy. When I called the next day to ask if there was any type of compensation for this inconvenience, I was told that they would contact the owners. I called at least 3 times & finally on the 4th call I was told they don't give any type of credit. I should have been told that on the first call! This was a waste of my time.
On our checkout day when I spoke with the hotel manager by phone, he kept questioning me saying are you sure that you weren't in Room 201. We were in Room 206. That told me that this hotel has an electrical problem with more than one room. We paid $289.30/night. Losing electricity is not acceptable and needs to be addressed at M22 Inn Glen Arbor.

- Don (7/5): Clean, Ample but Needs Updating and a little Outdoor Attention - Convenient location, clean Very plain. Needs updating. Needs landscaping and a better outdoor relaxing area
- Frank (9/5): -
- William (8/5): Good place to stay in Glen Arbor and walkable to some restaurants/stores. - The ease with which we signed in.....key inside unit to check in and put key in door when checked out. No need to go to office and do this through live person! We walked behind the Inn to the Cherry Republic for dinner and gift shop. Very unique and good place to visit. Also could walk to several of the other small businesses on that street. Up North feel to the room. Two queen beds were fine. Quiet. Perhaps snack in the room. Bathroom was rather tight/small. Little pricey for what we got.
- Janine (9/5): Location, location, location - Location, location, location. The M22 is in the heart of Glen Arbor, walking distance to all main eating and shopping areas. Within a very short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and tons of hiking trails.

Cut through the backyard and you’re at the world famous Cherry Republic Store and Public House. Literally surrounded by Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

- Edward (10/5): Wonderful. Charming. Center of charming historic Glen Arbor! - Nestled in the center of historic Glen Arbor and immediately adjacent to Chocolate Republic’s campus. In fact, just a 30-second walk across the backyard! The room was very comfortable with THREE chairs and a table. The proprietor was in costume, sitting on a wicker chair greeting trick-or-treaters! It was Glen Arbor’s community Halloween Day. She even had my key in her lap. No need to visit the office! Nothing to dislike.
- Keli (10/5): A very wonderful experience! - I loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs out front and looking at the stars. I loved that it was within walking distance to town. It was quiet and cozy. Everyone I met/ spoke to was so friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless. The only thing was the beds were a little stiff. Maybe it was just me? I had a hard time getting comfortable.

- Sowles (10/5): It was the perfect location. We want to come back. - Perfect location to explore Glen Arbor. We could walk through a little path to get to the Cherry Republic. Nothing.. it's older but was great!
- Dacia (9/5): The perfect getaway to a clean, cute motel with the most fantastic location! - The property was clean and cute, but most of all, the location was perfect! It was a little outdated inside.
- David (7/5): Enjoyed it - Great location. Easy access. Friendly staff and was clean. Bed was not too comfy. Overall, beds could be improved along with nicer bed coverings.
- Marvin (10/5): Clean and quiet - Great location and could hear the live music. Close to fish town and Manitou island.
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - How to work the ac and television
- Kenneth (7/5): Overall I was satisfied and I'll be back!! - Location was amazing!! I was very close to all local shops and restaurants by foot!! Also, very close to all points of interst by car!! Coffee maker didn't have any REAL coffee pods... only 4 pods of decaf!! That was kinda a let down at 630am. The room was very dark even with all the lights on. Maybe some higher wattage bulbs or another lamp would be nice.
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Good
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (10/5): Idyllic small motel steps from Main Street, clean, excellent value. - We were in Glen Arbor for a wedding and wanted a cute spot that matched the setting of the town —and we got it. Main Street is right around the corner. Room looked like it had been remodeled recently. No daily maid service due to lack of staff, but we asked for towels, plunger, and iron and all were quickly delivered.
- Fairviewrex48 (10/5): Exceptional - New owner has done a great job refurbishing the rooms. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were of high quality. Excellent location. Close to everything yet very quiet. I highly recommend it. I can't think of anything. Sorry.
- Jaclyn (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (6/5): I’m glad we were able to get an affordable room in Glen Arbor. A bit more attention to detail from the host is needed. - Great location, reasonable price The toilet seat is not attached securely. This has to be obvious to whomever has been cleaning the bathroom. The carpet inside the door was soaking wet when we arrived. We took our shoes off and were surprisingly treated to soaked socks. That was our first impression.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dale (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good -
- Nancy (5/5): Passable - It was convenient to Glen Arbor and neighboring areas such as Glen Lake and Sleeping Bear. For a very basic hotel, it was pricey. It is also unfriendly to never see any kind of service personnel. I know everything now-a-days is per machine but it does not give a warm feeling.
- Jane (7/5): Good - Location Cost was over $200/ night. Not worth that for basic hotel room.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - 😄
- Nicholas (8/5): What a bargain for the location! - Great hotel for the price, location is ideal, owner very friendly and accommodating, I recommend this hotel Nothing, the hotel was exactly what we expected
- Corry (8/5): Great weekend. - Perfect location. Bed was small and uncomfortable.
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Stacey (5/5): Passable - The room was hot and stuffy, making it difficult to sleep at night.
- Diana (5/5): Passable - The location was great. The room was clean. There was a working mini fridge, microwave and small coffee pot. The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. The room was dark and dated. It was carpeted, and you could see around the edge of the room where carpet had a pattern years ago, now worn flat with use. The shower function was difficult to use as it stuck and I had to use my whole body to pull it out.
- Lauren (7/5): Nice location! - The location is lovely - you can walk to restaurants, ice cream shops, and the water for views. There was easy check-in/out. There was A/C that worked well (and not all hotels in area even have A/C). Room was fine, nothing fancy or new. The mattress was ok, but not great. Also, our room smelled pretty strongly of cleaning products and/or possibly it was from the detergent from the nearby laundry "room" for staff.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (3/5): Not AT ALL worth the $$ - will never return - The location was perfect to explore the town. The price for this type of lodging was completely ridiculous!!!! Speaking with locals, they say we were robbed! Usually the rooms are more than half the price we paid. There didn't appear to be any host or staff on site. There also didn't appear to be any vending machines or lobby offering coffee and water. The town closes down pretty early so there wasn't much to do after 8pm on a Saturday and they also don't open up very early. I like a 6 am coffee to watch the sunrise. Was disappointed in this place.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (5/5): Passable - We have always enjoyed Glen Arbor We had requested a first floor room and were given a 2nd floor room. We are close to 70 yrs old and it is hard to haul suitcases up the stairs. We tried to call the phone number of the manager but the messages were full and unable to leave a message.
- Shari (9/5): Wonderful stay in a great Motel with a great location. - Had breakfast at the Grill across the road, which was excellent. The best thing about the Motel is that the location is excellent. The weather could have been better.
- Michele (7/5): Good -
