Guest Reviews
- Lilian (10/5): - We loved that the property has the river view, very clean & has everything we need. The check in was fast & the lady was very nice & helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin.
- Tim (8/5): will stay again - what can i say, but i want to come back for more then 1 day, this place looked very cool, the cabin was so nice. the only negative things were the way the bathroom door opened up into the toliet. and the restuant only took reseravations. it would have been nice to know before hand
- blueman66 (8/5): would stay again - what can i say, but i want to come back for more then 1 day, this place looked very cool, the cabin was so nice. the only negative things were the way the bathroom door opened up into the toliet. and the restuant only took reseravations. it would have been nice to know before hand
- A2964YUamandah (2/5): Not worth the money - The pictures are very misleading. This place is pretty run down. Went over Labor Day weekend to find out the pool was out of order and it was a 3 day minimum stay. The floors in our room were so dirty they tuned our socks black. Pillows were flat and the blankets were as thin as paper. The rooms are not well marked. The dock is so old, it feels like you’re going to fall through. Spider webs are so thick around the outside of the doors and eve.
The land scape is the only thing that that is kept up on. I will never stay here again.
- gregory (10/5): - Great location and staff
- Catherine (10/5): - Beautiful location
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall okay - This was our second stay at Lindsey's. Both times the pool has been closed. First stay was the 1st week of May, so not too surprising, but our most recent stay was the last week of July, so not sure why it was closed in the middle of summer. They advertise a restaurant on site, which is true- it's there, but what we didn't see advertised is that it is only open on Fri and Sat night and a reservation is required. There are restaurants available a short drive from the resort, but depending on the day of the week they may very well be closed too, so highly recommend bringing food with you. Our tv remote had dead batteries, but fortunately we were able to reach someone after the office closed at 6pm, and he very kindly gave us a new set. There is a nice fishing dock and the property is well taken care of and maintained. We had a nice stay overall, but will definitely book a river view room next time.
- Henry (10/5): Great stay. - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The property & my room was clean, comfortable & quiet. My room had a full refrigerator/freezer, sink, stove top, cabinets with all basic kitchen utensils, dishes & cooking needs. Parking was convenient. There was a small charcoal grill right out the front door; and a large porch out the back with plenty of comfortable seating and looking out over the Little Red River. I would absolutely stay here again - in fact, I intend to.
Almost forgot... they weren't useful to me, but I saw at least 10 EV charges. Obviously handy for those with EVs.
- Teresa (4/5): - Cabin was nice , the dock needed work several loose boards and bad boards . Staff wasn’t very friendly and had asked for an extra blanket for my husband and was told they didn’t have any . So if you go better take your own or will have to go buy one , like we did. Also, advertised they had a pool so we took grandson with us . Pool was closed , was told it had a crack but it had clean water in it just a few leaves in bottom. Another customer said they had it closed last year too but for bad pump . So if you are wanting to use pool better call and check first .
- michael (10/5): - We liked the Cabin feeling and the room was a Great size ,
- Audrey (10/5): - Awesome. Just wish the pool was open! Maybe next time!
- Bethany (10/5): Weekend getaway! - Everything was great except I'm allergic to certain dog hair and the cabins are pet friendly, so if you have allergies just bring your medicine...other than that it was a great weekend. Staff is super polite, bed was amazing, cabin was very clean and the on site restaurant was really good. Best burger I've ever had, if you want to eat there it's by reservation only.
- Susan (10/5): - Lindsey’s is awesome it’s right next to little red river and has docks to fish off of and is only minutes away from #3 trout spot on little red river and the lake at the dam.. awesome spot!!!
- Matthew (8/5): - Be nice if they had food options for one night stayers. Apparently the only place to eat there is booked solid forever.
- Jill (10/5): - Quaint spot with beautiful scenery. Perfect fishing trip location
- chasecY6305MX (10/5): Big Trout - Warmest welcome! Beautiful grounds! Great fishing on the little red with knowledgeable local guides, Levi. Huge Brown Trout!
Clean, Comfortable rooms with 5 star service.
Go with the 16oz steak, Anglers! Handpicked and preparred by the onsite seasoned professional chef.
Great fishing, food and great service!
Thank you to all the staff!
- K2813AKpeterf (8/5): Great stay with some minot issues. - We had a great time here! Solar eclipse without so many people, cabin was dark but fine, some small issues. Fireplace is great but nobody got it to work and the lights in the kitchen also did not work. we reported it but nothing happened. It did not spoil out stay in any way.
- Larry (10/5): - Close to the water and fishing
- Michael (10/5): - Didn't catch any fish. Not their fault
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I booked a cabin with a fireplace and got a motel room with no fire place at a resort that books through hotels.com. The resort said hotels.com does that alot and they have talk to them several times but it still happens. The room was very small and had no comforters on the beds just sheets and very thin blanket. The hot water didnt even last 5 minutes any of the 5 times we tried to shower. Quite the let down when you think your getting a nice cabin and a fireplace. They dont give you a confirmation email either to prove what you got. All I had was a screenshot I took. It just showed the arrival and departure dates saying no need to confirm reservation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabins were clean. The staff members were friendly. We had a riverside view with a fireplace. The fireplace didn't work. But overall a pleasant time.
- Craig (10/5): - The staff was friendly helpful and cool.
- Scott (10/5): - Nice quiet stay on a river, lovely place to relax. Friendly helpful staff.
- Pamela (10/5): Totally Enjoyable - Enjoyed our stay at Lindsey’s. It’s close enough to town to make a run in for any groceries, shopping, eating out or entertainment. Had a great view of the river. Had a great meal at the restaurant.
- Keith (10/5): - What’s not to like. Friendly folks,beautiful setting,great fishing.
- Richard (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Kristopher (10/5): - A great place for a great price. Have returned multiple times
- Bobby (10/5): River Cabin - Our cabin on the river was great. Clean and well stocked. Friendly people.
- georgia (8/5): - I liked the floor plan of the cabin. I did NOT LIKE the shared porch. the neighbor was always out there smoking & I couldn't stand it!
- stephenaM3245YB (4/5): Over charging customers credit cards on cabin rentals - Be sure to check your credit card statements when staying here was over charged by 165 dollars I called to discuss the overage was told sorry that’s been happening a lot we can’t do anything about it
- Sherry (10/5): - Enjoyed the visit
- mellenhead (8/5): Family reunion at Lindsey's Resort - Spent three days at an in-law's family reunion at Lindsey's In total, rented three motel rooms and one large cabin. No significant issues other than the air conditioning in one motel room wasn't working correctly, but management moved those individuals to a different room that actually was quite a bit larger. Our room (#4) had two queen beds, kitchen table and abbreviated kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Had a river view which was nice sitting on the porch in the morning reading a book and overlooking the river. Did not do any fishing during our stay.. The only drawback were the drains in the bathroom sink and shower/tub were very slow to drain. Overall, a good experience.
- Donald (10/5): - We loved this stay, right on the river and peaceful.
- Rose (6/5): - The property was lovely but the word "resort" insinuates there would be something to do there. It's really just a campground with cabins. We couldn't get in the pool because it was closed. You can't get into the river. I think they do have a restaurant there but it was closed so we had to go into town to get food .Because it was 106° out we mostly just sat in the cabin and watch TV. If you have little kids and you're looking for something that has entertainment, this probably isn't a good place for you. But if you're looking for a place that's just pretty quiet and you just want to lay around, this would be a winner.
- Lisa (4/5): - we booked a room with a water view and was giving with building in front wanted to rent a boat for a day called before arriving and said they were all booked up all day Friday not one boat left the docks
- Jason (10/5): Quiet and relaxing stay - We enjoyed the comfortable beds and shower in our cabin, and appreciated the kitchenette and patio area and chairs in the back. The river was beautiful and relaxing to sit next to, and the fog over the water in the evening was amazing. We wished the pool would have been available when we were there, but overall a great overnight stop for our trip.
- Escape54630516599 (2/5): Horrible - The first night at 4:00 AM was awakened by chirping of low battery in smoke alarm, tried calling service but they do NOT have any staff on duty so left voicemail and they had it fixed first thing next morning; all is okay. THEN the very next night, same thing happened with smoke alarm 🚨 but it was 1:37 AM and I was livid; I’m too short to reach the darn alarm, no one on duty and we are supposed to be on vacation. WOW, WORST PLACE IVE EVER STAYED AND the OWNER told me he would give me a discount rebate back and never did; how can you run an overnight business and not have someone on call for emergencies; STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK ⚠️
- Susan (2/5): Would not make good on our stay - The pool was not in working order and we had our two grandchildren with us. Hotel would not refund our money, and we did not stay there. The whole intention of staying at Linsey’s, was to relax with the kids at the pool after a morning at Blanchard Springs Caverns. Will Never book at this place again!
- Derek (10/5): - This is just a few miles from the dam and town. Great fishing on the river. Friendly staff. Very clean rooms at a great rate.
- Hannah (10/5): Great place to stay and fish in the Ozark's! - Excellent location for a getaway. The property was very clean and the staff were outstanding. I fished two days with their guides (Sam and Levi) and caught more trout than I could keep count of. My only regret is not eating at the restaurant which I heard was outstanding as well. I'll make sure to eat there when I return again!
- Promise (10/5): - Beautiful
- Zachariah (10/5): - This was our first time staying here and it was so nice! We will definitely be back!
- Paula (4/5): - Please be aware that the restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday and the kayaks pictured haven’t been there since Covid. Incredibly kind staff, cute place in need of a deep clean and make over.
- Heath (8/5): - I love the coolness of early morning on the river.
- Douglas (10/5): - Have stayed there several times in the past. Appears to be better managed and maintained.
- Scott (10/5): - Made Betty and I feel at home. We will be back! Thanks
- Linda (10/5): - The resort was awesome. It was very relaxing and calm. It was mostly a fishing resort and since we didn't fish, we really didn't get much from that part of it, but it was still enjoyable.
- 172chets (10/5): Great Customer Service! - Super nice people. We had reservations for Sunday night and they had us for Monday night (made thru Expedia). Quickly resolved the issue and we had a comfy bed and spacious room for the night. Rustic and Relaxing!!
- Terri (10/5): - Enjoyed everything! Will be back for sure!
- Jason E (6/5): - Unique place to stay, however banquet going on one evening with very loud music playing till nearly midnight! Limited amenities in room. Water heater very small, less than 5-8 minutes of hot water.
- happyperson2016 (10/5): The place is like fine wine, better as time goes on! - I have stayed her many times, this time was spur of the moment … I needed R&R. They had a last minute booking… I do suggest you plan ahead… the room was wonderful. The staff is great and I was able to refresh some old memories and rest! Real great coffee in the room… real clean everywhere….no funny smells of cleaners…..just God’s country on the river!
- Laura (4/5): - I was given misleading information about this property from Expedia and it ruined my trip! I booked the room that Expedia showed to have a king bed, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and to be waterfront. When we arrived on the property, our room had none of the above amenities and they property was fully booked so they could not accommodate those amenities. It ruined the whole trip! The amenities were the entire reason we booked this stay and I was so misled by Expedia!
- Olga (10/5): - Our reservation was for Sunday night and they had us for Monday night. They quickly change it and gave us a room.
Very friendly people.
- cindy (10/5): - Had a great time. Just getting away for 3 nights for my 60th birthday. Place was clean, staff was very friendly and beds were comfortable. Will be back!
- Terri A (10/5): - Beautiful Little Red River view
- Richard (8/5): - It was a nice place to stay but the heater was not very good and the mattress was uncomfortable. There was also no breakfast or place to get breakfast on the resort in November
- Iamme62 (4/5): Family Gathering - My two sisters and husbands stayed here in August of 2022. Our cabin was fine, however one of my sister's cabins was really dirty. The furniture was completely covered with pet hair and absolutely dirty. She put a covering over the couch and chair but it didn't help. She came home with bites over her arms and sides. She called the next day, not necessarily to complain, but to make sure they were aware that the furniture needed to be cleaned or replaced and was treated very rudely. So, do not stay in cabin 20.
- Cecily (4/5): - This is a nice quiet place
- Sherin (8/5): - Good
- James (10/5): - Great atmosphere and retreat, we loved our stay. However they advertise a jacuzzi tub in every cabin, which is not the case and the only one stove burner worked. Other than that it was amazing we will hopefully be back
- 70shaneb (10/5): Sam and the Lindsey’s crew was GREAT - Great place ! Looking for a guided trout fishing trip
Called and service was awesome ! Our guide was Sam and he got on the trout early, He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the River and and was very helpful with teaching our wife’s how to cast the rod and reel
- Q1769QGrandyp (10/5): Nice and Relaxing - We loved our room. The pool was nice, we had it to ourselves. The prices were very fair. All the rooms in our section, had BBQ grills. The property was nice and the staff was friendly. We went out two of the days with Levi as our fishing guide. Fly fishing the first day. He warned us that fly fishing had been very slow. We still caught fish. The second day on live bait we crushed it. That afternoon, when the water was up and moving fast, we fished off the dock and caught a quick dozen rainbows on maribou jigs, before running out for dinner. We don't have an electric car, but saw there were many charging stations, both standard and Tesla. For you EV people, this is a good option for you.
- lyndseydaniel1977 (4/5): Disappointing Guided Tour - We were disappointed with our tour. Our guide arrived late. Our boat was very dirty, and the seats were wet. Our guide was nearly silent, and, though we tried to draw him out, didn't even ask our names and offered no fishing guidance other than to do everything for us - down to casting our poles for us. We felt uncomfortable casting our own - like maybe we weren't "allowed." We went down the river may 500 yards from the dock, parked the boat in one spot, and stay in the same spot the entire four hours. We did catch some fish - between zero and four per person - and the river was lovely, but we didn't feel we were "guided" in any way. We were disappointed to see so little of the river, and we could have easily rented our own boat and found one hole to fish in ourselves. We certainly didn't expect a pristine boat or a guide with a sunny disposition, but we also didn't expect to feel unwelcome and unguided.
- Linda (10/5): Cool Place! - It’s a cool place to stay. We loved sitting on the porch looking at the river. It was so calming. In the evening the fog covers the river and it was still there in the morning for a little while. It was pretty neat but a little eerie.
- Anita (6/5): - There was a lack of communication regarding check-in so we didn’t know where to go when we arrived. The beds were comfy. It looked like it had been swept and the bathroom was clean. But there were spiders and the drawers needed cleaned (a mouse had been there). Without the spiders and drawer issues, I would say it was good but those did detract from the experience.
- Sandra (8/5): - Quiet. Cozy and comfortable beds!
- Joseph (10/5): - I booked online and booked the wrong room. When i talked to the desk clerk and td her what happenned she immediately corrected the issue. It made the anniversary get away much more memorable.
- Debbie (8/5): - we enjoyed it. was nice neat and clean. will be back for sure.
- 631beckyj (6/5): Not what it use to be - I visited with family and we stayed in a cabin at the back of the park. Although there was nothing seriously wrong with it, it was quite run down and very minimally furnished. We had stayed last summer in the motel type rooms near the pool and had loved it. I don’t know if they are just short handed but the resort could use a lot of attention. Much of the wood is rotten in various areas (playground, docks, etc), also there was some sort of sewage smell. I hope they can get these things fixed because it is a nice resort with a wonderful pool and beautiful location on the river.
- gregory (10/5): - Fantastic service. Beautiful property.
- Heather (8/5): - We went for a weekend trip, with my 4 children all under the age of 7. Everything was great the only complaint that we had is that a guest two rooms down from us brought their dog who constantly barked during the day when the owner was away, it made relaxing around the pool impossible.
- Paul (10/5): - View of the river was great 👍. Room was spacious and clean. Will definitely stay again.
- Constance (10/5): - Very nice country style, quite, clean and relaxing stay.
Wish pool was open it was in the 90s.
- Kimberly (10/5): - It was beautiful and peaceful.
- Dakota (10/5): - Very pretty will definitely be staying longer next time
- jo ann (10/5): - Quite and very comfortable cabin right on the river!! Lots to do and beautiful scenery made it a must do again!!
- Praylene (10/5): - So beautiful! Wish it had been earmer.
- charlienora (6/5): Beautiful grounds and rooms, docks were disappointing - The resort is located in a beautiful area with a great view of the Little Red River. Our room (#14) was large, had high ceilings, a dining table, and a kitchenette. The back door opened up to the pool area. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. HOWEVER, I was highly disappointed with the docks at the resort. There are three total. We fished off two of them. They are in complete disrepair and are clearly not being maintained. There were TONS of holes, missing boards, rotten boards, etc. It was actually very dangerous and a big liability for the resort. I'm not sure why they are not maintaing these at all?
- Cecily (10/5): Ok for price - The heater and fireplace didn’t work but it’s a nice place just make sure you ask if everything is working properly because no one is there to answer in the middle of night when freezing and didn’t offer to change rooms
- Trent (10/5): - The property was a pleasant surprise. The room was large. There was a stove and refrigerator. We were meeting friends who were camping near Heber Springs. This was a great location on the river. This is a great family location with an outdoor swimming pool and fishing. It is rustic and gives the feel of staying in a cabin. The people were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
- Slkeathley (10/5): Best fishing resort in Arkansas - Our group of 14 fishermen had a great experience at Lindseys. We rented Cabins, used the Guide Service, rented boats, and ate in the restaurant. Everything was top notch. The cabins were clean and the boats were great. Jay is an excellent guide and will put you on the fish. The food and service in the restaurant are as good as any high end restaurant in any big city. Thanks to Lindsey, Jay, Tony, and the rest of the staff for making our visit a 5 star experience. We’ve already booked for next year.
- Emily (4/5): - I’ve always liked Lindsey, since I was little girl we’ve been coming there to stay. Every year my family use to rent it out for us, for Easter! Nothing has changed about it. My favorite part is the dock, and morning time with a fresh pot of coffee to start my day off with a good day! The only part I will have to say I didn’t like is the cleaning, the last time I stayed was Last Saturday March 5th. And the cleaning was horrible, there was little hairs in the bath tub, couches looks liked kids had sat on them before we entered the room for our stay. Chips and cookies was all in couches. It could of been better, but overall I was OK with my stay!
- Rae W. (10/5): Nice place! - We enjoyed our stay!
- gambler2016 (8/5): Last minute, 2 night visit. - We called the same day of our arrival and booked our stay. The lady on the phone was so helpful,
And she easily, quickly booked our room. We stayed in the motel style cabin area and liked it!
Comfy, clean with warm heater. Everything in working order. Good wifi. Hot shower. Kitchen was a great plus!
Porch overlooking water was enjoyable.
Parking convenient, no problem unloading vehicle.
(The county is dry, no alcohol, so bring it with you if you drink)
- Paul (10/5): Great. - Everything was great. Very friendly and helpful staff to myself and my crew. Don’t pass up this place.
- Ellen (6/5): Just OK - It was just ok. Nothing stood out that made me like it any better than other places. Room was in need of total deep cleaning throughout. There were no paper towels provided. Bed was not very comfortable sagged on one side. Initial check in was fast but staff was not very friendly or forthcoming with information.
Staff at check out was friendly and informative.
Was under the impression that the restaurant would be open daily but was told it was by reservation only and not open during the time we were staying here.
- sandy (10/5): - We were quite pleased with the room and the property. Our room faced the river so was an easy walk for me, with knee issues. The pictures do not do it justice. Each room has a grill and we cooked on ours. The beds were very good and we had a great time, even though it was very cold. We fished but sadly, didn't catch anything, but we will be back to try again!
- Constance (10/5): - very quite.warm and cozy
- Tami (10/5): - Beautiful & relaxing place to stay.
- james (10/5): Great quiet escape convenient to town - Lovely and comfortable family type resort on the banks of the Little Red River 10 minutes outside of Heber Springs.
- Donald (8/5): - The view was great and good WiFi . The not so good was no oven.
- 598vernd (10/5): VernD - This is one of the best getaways I have ever been on! The people at the Resort are so friendly and helpful!
The cabins are so nice and the time on the river is so special. Whether you’re fishing or just wanting to disconnect from the worries if this world, the guides are special. We were blessed to be with Sam and his wisdom of the area! So much history and such a great man!
If you are wanting a restful getaway, go to Lindsey Resort Heber Springs, Ar.
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful property peaceful surrounded by trees unique cabin experience
- Sandra (8/5): - I loved the river view and being able to fish not far from my room.
- Rick (4/5): - Had a very noisy group come in and keep us up all night. I know that this is not necessarily the resort's fault. However, there was no one to call to address the situation after the posted hours. The couple staying next door and I both called the posted number several times.
- Shirley (10/5): - A great getaway. Love the cabin but not too rustic. Cabin was on the lake… so beautiful and cool in the morning and evening. Food and shopping nearby. Ladies shopped while men fished. Extremely good food at Port of Gold restaurant. Front desk staff, fishing guide and maintenance staff was so friendly and helpful. Had so much fun. We will be back for longer stay.
- 378lizj (10/5): Last minute paradise - We took a chance for a same day reservation and Ms Terry hooked us up. We stayed in a cute cozy cabin right on the on the river. It was beautiful to watch the river go by and listen to the wildlife. We loved it and will be back for sure.
The Jernigan's
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great getaway in the Ozarks, very friendly staff, many cabin options...peacefull!
- Deborah (10/5): - We have been coming to Lindsey’s fir 18 years we love it there!!! We spent our honeymoon there in the suite. I have really never been disappointed staying there!!! I love Heber Springs!!!
- Jeana (10/5): Great for glamping. - Loved being on the porch by the river and watching the fog. Pool was refreshing. Inside kitchenette was perfect for our short stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Heber was a short drive away for eating out or getting food to cook. Look forward to visiting the resort in the fall.
