Und zwar hat er eine längere Zeit gebraucht für den ganzen Vorgang und am Schluss als es zur Zahlung gekommen ist, hielt er mir den Kartenterminal vor mir, um zu zahlen. Da war allerdings der doppelte Preis enthalten und als ich ihn darauf angesprochen habe sagte er, da seien „Taxes“ inkludiert. Ich war geschockt, ich meine „taxes“ in Höhe von 100%??! Ich habe höflich nach einer Erklärung gebeten und dann habe ich ihm auch meine Buchung auf Booking gezeigt mit dem reservierten Preis und auch da sagte er, es fallen noch die Taxes oben drauf an. Erst als er bemerkte, dass ich nicht locker lasse, hat er nochmals geprüft und dann kam die Ausrede, weswegen ich mir sicher bin, dass er mich täuschen wollte. Und zwar hat er „plötzlich“ bemerkt, dass der Preis für einen anderen Gast an der Unterkunft sei, der per Zufall den gleichen Nachnamen wie ich trägt. Ganz ehrlich, dass jemand aus dem Balkan und dann noch mit dem gleichen Nachnamen in der gleichen Unterkunft eincheckt, ist einfach lächerlich. Er hätte einfach sagen können, er hat sich vertippt, aber eine solche dreisste Lüge finde ich einfach beschämend. Das war ein seeeeehr entäuschender Start für uns in San Diego. Es handelt sich dabei um einen älteren Herren mit dunklen Haaren und einer Brille. Die anderen beiden Mitarbeiterinnen an der Lobby waren SUPER. - Ausserdem finde ich die Decken- und Kissenbezüge sehr schlecht.

No beach access but bench to sit and enjoy sunset. Pool is nice and good parking. Did not see a safe in the room and shower floor and bed a bit basic. A bit hard to sleep on. But acceptable.

- Lori (1/5): Worst night hotel stay ever! - The room was very clean and updated decor. This property is very noisy and walls are paper thin. We got almost no sleep one night due to the party that went on until after 5 am above us. Hotel staff was alerted and said they would “message” the people above us and when we called back to complain again 20 minutes later, no one answered our call or called us back! We asked for a refund for the sleepless and very stressful night but the manager refused even though they admitted that they saw the excessive number of guests going in and out of the room on their cameras. They admitted there was a problem but wouldn’t take responsibility for it.

Majority of the time it was quiet no slamming doors, didn't hear conversation from next door room, walking distance to a few eating places. Overall I would stay here again being I know what to expect. Two bedrooms only one chair for desk and no table in the room to sit at, have to do everything on the bed. Should have a small table inside, the only table was on patio and you have to go through one of the bedrooms so if someone is in that room you may not be able to use it. Not that I used it but the microwave is outside in the hallway for everyone to use (not in room)

Basic but very clean, comfortable, and easy to access. Staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. Several walkable options for coffee/food nearby. Rooms are a bit sparsely appointed and walls/floors are thin so you can hear your neighbors pretty easily.

More counter space needed in restroom, the shower caused water to go everywhere. the walls are thin and could here the neighbors above walking or dragging their luggage. The lighting in the room could of used a dimmer to adjust the brightness in the room.

We booked this hotel for the second story balcony room. We were giving a darkroom on the bottom floor with absolutely no privacy! We had already been charged our booking fee! We would have never booked a room without a private balcony. We were not on vacation, we didn’t need to waste 250 on a shitty room in our hometown. They gave us the wrong room and refused to change us to the balcony we requested. We are locals and didn’t need to stay in a little room next to a pool with no privacy. Don’t count on getting the room you booked at this place.

- Antoinette (9/5): Clean, Comfy, Affordable in an otherwise very expensive area. - I came to San Diego to meet with relatives from out of state who paid $550 for their hotel room right on the beach, which was more than I wanted to spend for one night. I paid significantly less even though I was less than 5 minutes away from them. First of all, this is an excellent value! Secondly, the remodeled room was spotless and well laid out. Third of all, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room had a bigger balcony with a much nice view than my relatives room at 5x the price. It had more light. The covered walkway to the room was outdoors and the room was the width of the building so in a way you had 2 balconies. In other reviews I read there was no air conditioning, but my room had a very modern unit that worked impeccably. People complained about the Lack of a microwave, but I found one 5 doors down in a common area that worked perfectly. I saw complaints about no coffeemaker, but the Lobby had big Carafes of free Hot Coffee and it was close to go get some. My room was peaceful, clean and quiet and I really enjoyed the neighborhood which is about 2 blocks off the beach, full of restaurants and coffee shops. The Parking Situation was perfect for me- I came back late one night and there were still 2 nice parking spaces right in front- I could see my car just past the pool from my big balcony. All in All, I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and the price was very good for the location. I almost want to say bad things so the price won’t go up as the demand increases, and I can’t help but speculate that that’s what other more negative reviewers are trying to do (LOL). Everything was great! I made sure not to do anything to stain the towels or sheets and did not incur any extra charges, as the reviews from more careless people warned about.

I’d expect a few extra towels and a coffee maker in room for what they are charging. However, this area is not cheap in general so it’s expected.
- Stephanie (9/5): - The property is private to guests only via entry gate. So you feel extra safe and a bit exclusive. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is next level! Please understand the importance of a full length mirror. When on vacation especially, one needs to see how they look. And phones don’t really cut it for that.
