• Ng Hui (10/5): - Wensinghouse is conveniently located off a quiet alley steps away from the hustle and bustle of Jiufen Old Street. It is a little hard to find, so it's best to contact the owner before arriving. The property itself was well-managed by the owner - spick and span with a nice common dining area that you can use to enjoy delicious takeaway dinner (or supper) if the restaurants get too crowded. You can also enjoy a nice cup of filtered coffee or Taiwanese tea here. Meanwhile, the room was cosy and comfortable - it would easily fit two big luggage, but I would not recommend you bringing big luggage to Jiufen anyway, given that it's so hilly. The owner was what made the stay special. She was so warm and accommodating - from checking on dietary restrictions so that she can make breakfast to helping us buy beer from 7-11 because we made a comment that we gave up due to the large crowd (she claimed, "I know the shortcuts!" and off she went), to chatting cheerfully with us as we had supper. Thank you Ah Yi!

• Kyoko (10/5): - オーナーの女性が親しみやすい方で翻訳アプリを使いながら夜と朝たくさんお話できたのが楽しかったです。 ピアノを弾いてくださったり、帰りはバス停まで送ってくださったり、一緒に座っておしゃべりしたり、親戚のおばさんの家に遊びに行ったような気分になれる所。 部屋も清潔でした。お掃除をいつも一生懸命頑張ってらっしゃるそうです。 チェックインは3時半からだったと思いますが、早めに到着して荷物を置いて、散歩に出かけたいと思っていたところ、それはオーナーが留守中でできませんでした。 いつもは私たちはそうするのですが、個人で小さな宿をされている場合は、事前に早めに荷物を預かってもらえるかどうかを連絡した方が良さそうです。 何か不便なことや必要なものがあればいつでも相談できます。とても親身に対応してくださいます。 それから場所は分かりにくい場所にあり、通り過ぎて迷ってしまいました。 当日の11時頃に行き方の写真を送ってもらっていましたが、すでに私たちは近くまで来ていて、wifiもsimも無い状態だったので、気づけずに、しばらくウロウロしました。 名前が書いてある看板や矢印があれば良かったなと思います。 他の宿の看板はたくさんありましたが、こちらの宿の看板はなかったので、通り過ぎました。 しかし、こういった点を補うくらい、オーナーのエリーさんはとても親切で良い方でした。ありがとうございました。

• Jesse (10/5): - Our stay at Wensinghouse was flawless. The host was so kind and sweet. She met us in the Jiufen Old Street alley to walk us back to the house and even sent us a message in the evening so we wouldn't miss the shops before closing. The room was very comfortable and all the amenities were available and working. Breakfast was delicious with homemade rice milk included. We wish we could have stayed here every night of our trip!
• TAKEUCHI (10/5): - The room was very clean and the landlady was very kind and informative. We arrived at the hotel just before 6 p.m. She served us cold water with squeezed lime which was great treat after walking long way under the crazy sun this day. Then, she told us the shops in this area close by seven and restaurants by nine. We could make good sightseeing plans and enjoyed relaxing dinner after that. As most of other guests have written, her breakfast was also great with lots of fruits and delicious sandwiches. If we have another chance to come here, we will definitely choose her place.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed for incident but place is good - Reserved a room with window and ocean view and was given one without window upon Check-in. Paid very little money to upgrade so that was ok. However, hot water didn’t work in the bathroom. Manager offered to dry our wet shoes so that was a very kind gesture. Breakfast was amazing and manager was friendly. Big incident here: Upon checkout, we were given our shoes back completely destroyed (burned) and no apologies were offered. We were forced to go buy new shoes.

Beautiful home, and our hostess was always at the ready -- it was a hot day and she greeted us with a delicious cold guava smoothie -- then served us a generous and delightful breakfast. We absolutely loved the town and the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Attention bien prévoir les explications en langue locale pour y parvenir en taxi.
• Stacie (10/5): Excellent stay - It was an extremely pleasant stay at wensing house. Our host was so loving and caring , it was wet and rainy when we reach Jiufen and she offered to do laundry for us as well as hang our wet shoes. She made us feel like we were at home with her care. She also cooked some delicious breakfast for us. Location is extremely good as it is right in the centre of jiu fen old street you don’t have to walk far. It is just below her place.

This B&B is located up hill of the entrance of Jioufen old street and convenient by walk from bus stop, although acsess by vehicle is difficult. Room was clean and furniture are new.
• Kanji (8/5): - 九份に泊まるという事で、いつもと違う民宿的なところを他の評価も参考に選びました。少し場所の案内がわかりにくいため電話したところ、オーナーであるお母さんが小雨の中傘を持って探しに来てくれました。金曜日という事で私も含めて２組しかおらず、８時の朝ごはんまで残ったのは私だけでしたが、逆にGoogle片手に中国語を交えながら、日本と台湾について色々話すことができて、台湾のことが益々好きになりました。また是非来たいです。

• Verified traveler (10/5): まさに温心的家！ - 夫婦で１泊しました。 九份の老街からすぐ…なんですが、他の方の口コミにもある通りでとにかく分かりにくい。 同行してくれてた台湾人の友人があちこちで何度も聞いてくれて、それでも迷いに迷いました。 そしてこれまた口コミにある通りで、オーナーさんがとても親切でいい方です。 こちらは拙い中国語でしたが、いろいろお話させていただきました。 もしかしたらアメニティはないかな？と思っていましたが、個装で一通り揃っています。 唯一の難点はエアコンが一体型で少々音がうるさかったことくらい。 翌日は台北経由で墾丁まで移動するためにチェックアウトが早かったのですが、宿泊客が私たちだけだったので少し早めに朝食を用意してくれました。 サンドイッチとフルーツ、ジュース、とてもおいしくいただきました。 帰りもバス停まで送っていただき、その後の旅の途中でもLINEで連絡いただき、本当に親切なオーナーさんです。また九份に行ったらぜひ泊まりたいと思っています。 老闆娘非常親切。他很熱心介紹附近資訊。早餐也好吃。希望再入住。
• Jooyeon (10/5): 가성비 좋은 곳 - 숙소를 찾아가는게 너무어려웠어요. 하지만 올드스트리트에 위치하고 있어서 지우펀 관광하기는 좋았습니다. 1박이긴 했지만 주인분이 정말 잘 챙겨주셔서 불편한 점 없이 잘 지냈어요. 조식도 정성껏 정말 잘 챙겨주시더라구요. 추천합니다.

The location was good, just behind Jiufen Old Street where all the shops are. The room was comfortable and adequate, with an attached shower. Breakfast was tasty, served at 8am every morning.
• YOUJIN (10/5): - 아침 조식도 너무 정성스럽게 해주시고, 근처까지 가면 픽업도 와 주셨어요. 정말 정말 친절하십니다. 비가 억수같이 쏟아지는데도 계단 밑에까지 캐리어 옮겨 주시고...너무 감사했어요. 계단이 많은 곳이긴 하지만 다행히도 숙소 위치가 많이 안 올라가서 어찌나 다행인지...ㅎㅎ 비가 와도 기억에 남을만큼 너무 좋았습니다. 여행객들 다 떠난 홍등 거리가 너무 예뻣어요.. 다음에도 들린다면 여기에서 숙박을 할겁니다..

She explained us how to go all the way to the guesthouse by Kakaotalk, how to get to other touristic places such as Jinguashi and Shifen. It was an excellent experience in jiufen.

We had a little trouble finding the place but when we called, Ellie located us quickly and escorted us. The room was huge and very comfortable; facilities spotless. We felt very much at home! Ellie offered to make us breakfast but we declined. When we had to leave, she escorted us to the bus stop and waited with us to ensure we boarded the correct bus. Overall a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again! The rooftop has an AMAZING view of Jiufen!

She even remembered that my boys love banana milkshake and made the drink for breakfast the next day. Heated bathroom comes with separate shower and bathtub. Whole house looks very clean and welcoming. The house is located just in the heart of the shopping district in jiufen. Just make sure to get cab driver to ask the host for direction to send you to its exact location.
• David (8/5): Comfortable and quiet B&B in the heart of Jiufen - We booked two rooms at this comfortable and quiet B & B, with breakfast included, located just steps away from Jiufen's Old Street. The place is a little hard to find, but it offers a welcome and quiet respite from the din of the streets below. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is a nice rooftop deck where you can watch the beautiful sunset. The hostess, Ms. Lee, is also very helpful and cheery.
• m (10/5): Lovely, cosy, friendly b&b - Lockable, good sized ensuite bedroom in hostess' home, very close to old street. Hostess / landlady is lovely, charming and very helpful (speaks some English). Finding this place was a little tricky as no sign in English so be prepared for that!
• Corey (10/5): Excellent location on Old Street! - We arrived in Jiufen while it was raining and had a bit of a difficult time trying to find the Wensinghouse, but when we arrived it was absolutely amazing. The staff was helpful with everything from making sure we were comfortable to helping us find our way around. The room itself was very large with a very spacious bathroom. We will be staying at Wensinghouse every time we visit Jiufen.
