Guest Reviews
- Donna (7/5): bathroom and kitchen needs updating - size of house is good to bond with the family in the main room with the open concept. the outdoor spaces are also good as well. heating is adequate and can be controlled easily. i like the separate heater for the bathrooms as well outdated bathrooms and kitchen. they could at least update the showerhead and it could make all the difference. a can opener in the kitchen would also help. just adding basic ktchen tools will help a lot
- Saulo (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Wilderness location. - Manager was lovely.
Location good. No cooling down in a pool.
- Lydie (3/5): - There were 2 skylights one one covered by a black plastic and the other one by a thick transparent plastic. The kitchen was not very usable. One you wash the dishes there were water around the electrical line of the stove. Lichen plugs we’re not grounded. The space arrangement was awkward in the kitchen and the bathroom were a couple of shelves would have been welcome.
- Nicholas (10/5): Quiet, relaxed and comfortable. A perfect night place to unwind. - The room was comfortable, homely, clean and thoughtfully furnished. The staff were extremely helpful and keen to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Overall this was easily the most enjoyable ‘home from home’ that we stayed in during our California road trip and we would highly recommend it. The overall feel of the resort was rustic, so some elements were probably in need of some renovation but to us this was in keeping with the location and surroundings. This is not a new, modern resort with lots of facilities but the standard of the accommodation itself was exceptional and the setting was relaxed and quiet with lots of nature and wildlife.
- Lori (7/5): Nice location - No screens on windows. Bugs came in doors and windows.
- ABBM (10/5): I will stay here again. - I’d had a horrible week at work and the weekend that I spent with my dog at Sequoia Resort was exactly what I needed. I was able to rest and recover. Just being in nature was the best thing I needed. I loved that I could walk around the trails, listen to the frogs, birds and enjoy nature easily.

- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Debora (10/5): - Guest suit room is great. It includes a small kitchen with appliances.
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): - Beautiful location. The staff was great and the kitties all over the property was great. Everything was great. Very clean and very well stocked. No complaints
- Simon (9/5): - Great location Property a little tired and needs a little TLC, but clean nonetheless.
- Martin (8/5): -
- Carmela (10/5): - Very clean and neat
- Janet (10/5): Spacious and new! - Clean and spacious! Self check in with the keypad code was very convenient. We liked the layout with the breakfast nook and kitchenette - would have been perfect if there had also been a cook top! Fireplace was a nice touch. Otherwise, it was very convenient and close to downtown Seward and Exit Glacier. We would definitely stay here again
- Ribert (8/5): - We enjoyed the stay, but had to stay inside the cottage because of rattlesnakes and bees. The road to the cottage is very windy, but it is an excellent location for Kings Canyon. The cottage is fairly old but totally functional - we cooked each evening. Essential to bring everything you need as there are no stores within 45 minutes.
- SITING (9/5): A peaceful retreat - Just an hour’s drive from Sequoia National Park — warm and helpful staff, clean facilities, a kitchen with the basics, and adorable kittens to keep you company.
- Jin (8/5): - Driving on the steep mountain roads was initially daunting, but it became less so as time passed. The resort was very quiet, and the surrounding atmosphere was impressive. I wish they should upgrade the range in the kitchen for cooking and shower bathroom. Inside house was very clean and big space. But I had a great time
- Raluca (8/5): nice - very well organized and prompt to answer the email, check in was effortless. clean property and very spacious.
the cabin/house is old but well kept with new fire alarm sistem. new floors in the bedrooms will be a good idea.
hot water perfect, air conditioning…all good an the location and nature perfect. Very easy to get in the Sequioa NP from there.
- Forrest (10/5): Very comfortable calming place - I like the staff they were very accommodating we had some issues when we first got there but they were quickly taken care of the location was awesome and very quiet The fact that we had to leave
- Stefan (8/5): Good location and cozy - Great location to visit Kings canyon and sequoia national park. It was a nice little cabin with a small kitchen to cook a meal in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the kitchen utensils were dirty. Pans are full of scratches. You're basically poisoning yourself...
Bring your own pans for meat, scrambled eggs etc.
There's a good pan for pasta though
- Giuliano (10/5): Soggiorno perfetto, immersi nella natura - Davvero tutto perfetto..siamo stati benissimo Nulla
- Angela (8/5): - Nice area
- Marco (10/5): Highly recommended - Very clean and well-equipped room. The position is perfect for the Sequoia and King's Canyon parks. The staff is amazing. Nothing!
- GORKA (9/5): -
- Jürgen (10/5): -
- Yohei (10/5): -
- Walter (7/5): -
- Thompson (8/5): Comfortable stay, convenient to parks - The suite was very comfortable, plenty of facilities for self catering.
Andrea was amazing host, giving us so much interesting information about the area and other places in the USA. A bit rundown
- Greta (9/5): - Ottima posizione immersa nella natura. Casa spaziosa e cucina fornita di tutto. Ottima accoglienza!
- Robyn (10/5): - I had a wonderful time visiting the RV resort, and stayed in one of the houses on the property. The property is well kept, the surrounding area is beautiful, and the host is a great communicator. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
- Victoria (10/5): - Great spacious place for a family.
- Jana (8/5): - Very peaceful. We had planned on fishing in the boats on the lake. But there were no boats in the end. Cute little store/coffee shop in the check in area. Kinds and helpful staff!
- Virgil (8/5): -
- Louise (8/5): -
- Michal (8/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): Great place close to the park! Best value for $. - The house and property were clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was the shower in the master bedroom was really small and tight. It was hard to take a shower in it and I’m only 5’1”.
- Roman (9/5): Ideal for a relaxing stay if you want to discover Sequoia NP - Very relaxing and quiet atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, very friendly hosts.
Lovely room with all the comforts.
- Viktoria (8/5): Nice place and surroundings. -
- Anat (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, relative to the area. A huge apartment that lacks nothing !!! Instead of the option to do laundry. Very neat and clean. We really liked the quiet and the way to the place despite the distance from the entrance to the reserve.
- Edith (10/5): - Stayed with the family and loved it.
- Marcos Manuel (10/5): - Armando the manager was the best
- Revati (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best places we have stayed at. Peaceful, quite and surrounded by nature.. I can go on and on about how beautiful the property is, how hospitable the staff is, and how welcoming the environment is. There are trails that go around the property for families to enjoy, and a library that lets you disconnect from the social world and be present in the moment. I would recommend this place to everyone and would love to travel here again. Absolutely nothing
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (9/5): Good stay - Good accommodations for family of 5, love the box fans, bathrooms were good, house was clean. Front desk was great. Love the library of dvds since we could get a signal on TV. Enjoyed our stay. Coffee pot was broken, missing some items when cooking/grilling (i.e., metal spatula) and house was a little warm when we arrived but cooled off at night. Too far from the entrance to Sequoia.
- Anoop (10/5): - Excellent communication with the host. They provided good details before arrival. Easy check in at the office. 30 mins from king's canyon entrance. House is spacious, but old, keep your expectations as such. Beds were comfortable. Sliding doors to the patio could use some maintenance to fix the lock and seal the daft. House got warm during the day and it took quiet long in the afternoon to cool the house. Flock of turkeys on the patio were fun to watch. I would definitely stay here again.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Guinevere (8/5): - Beautiful and qiuet. Remote but close to the Kings Canyon entrance. House was comfortable and had wifi.
- Abid (10/5): - Great quiet getaway in great condition. No groceries or gas nearby and roads to from location are curvy. So best to travel during day.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (10/5): - Very nice quiet stay with easy access to the park
- Joy (10/5): - We stayed in house #1 and it gave our family plenty of room for all us (4 adults). The huge balcony had doors connecting from both bedrooms and the living room, and gave us a beautiful view of trees and lake on the property. The kitchen was also fully stocked with dishes so that we could easily enjoy breakfast and make picnic lunches for our day trips to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. The living room was also super spacious, and gave us lots of room to relax.
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (7/5): Good location, shame about the cleaning - It's a great spot with free wash facilities. The bed was comfortable. Close the the Sequoia park. The drawers with cutlery were dirty, and so was the oven/ grill with the previous visitors crumbs , also one of the frying pan was coated in the previous visitors' cooking.
- Tony (10/5): A great experience - we'd love to return! - Joseph, the resort manager was fantastic to work with. Very responsive, friendly, welcoming and easy-going!
Houses were in great shape and very comfortable. The surroundings are very conducive to hiking - the resort is big enough that yu can go for a one-hour hike. nothing
- Krishna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (9/5): Comfortable stay in the wilderness - All was clean, well equipped and comfortable The resort is a bit outdated
- Carol (7/5): Good - Good size room with kitchen and BBQ. Property was a bit tired/rundown.
- Ralph (8/5): - Our family enjoyed our time here. Loved having the cats around.
- Rosemary (10/5): Tranquil and comfortable - Beautiful quiet rural location. We loved sitting on the veranda overlooking the lake and watching the bird life. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
- Michael (10/5): I have already told all my close family members and friends, that this a must place visit not only in California but in - Where to start? The natural beauty of this sanctuary that the owners have built, the gorgeous drive down Dry Creek Drive, the cats, the wildlife, the green hills, the private lake, and we met the owners who were so charming and polite. There are accommodations everywhere. All the houses have great decks with covered parking and BBQs. We stayed in the Queen studio which was clean and recently redone because everything was modern and awesome with many appliances. Joseph the manager was helpful at every turn. No complaints. I wouldn’t change a thing.
- Max (8/5): Very good - Quite close to Seqoia NP. Nice area. Not very much privacy. People in front of our windows and doors all day.
- Manuel (8/5): - Spacious, great views, clean, great service and very relaxing.
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional - Xpectation
- Katharine G. (10/5): Great house - Second time we stayed here. This time we got one of the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms house. Clean and comfortable!
- Karina (10/5): Cozy retreat before Sequoia Park - Our stay was wonderful and the staff were very friendly. Our room was spacious and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and cozy. The kitchen also had all the necessary utensils except the groceries, which we brought on our way here. This doesn't really apply to the resort, but the roads on the way over there were horrible and way too windy, causing us to become a bit nauseous on the drive over. But after that little bump it was all excellent!
- Rhonda (10/5): Exceptional - Close to Kings Canyon National Park. Very roomy houses (1 & 3). Very friendly staff. Just a few suggestions: Add more flatware, a mixer, sponges, and a blender. Have someone take a look at the oven in house 3. It might need a new thermostat because it takes a lot longer to bake items than normal.
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable house but remote location - Pros:
Lovely people. Quiet, secluded natural setting. The house was incredibly spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels. Secure. They've done a nice job with the furnishings. It was cold during our stay, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor spaces.
Cons:
1. This place really remote, even more so than it appears on the map because the roads in and out are very windy and slow. Travel time is longer than expected. Travel time to Sequoia National Park was a good 45 min and then getting around inside the park requires considerable additional driving.
2. There is 1 bar/restaurant (Pinehurst Lodge) within a one hour drive. You need to come prepared with all your groceries because the nearest grocery is at least 1 hour away. The house is not stocked with any kitchen essentials other than coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper, and DW soap.
3. The house needs more lighting but that should be easy for the management to address.
4. As you can see from the photo, this house is a triple wide modular home - very spacious but dated and worn (kitchen, bathrooms). The appliances all worked but they're old. So, it all depends on what you're looking for and what you're used to.
Overall, our stay was fine. The main downside was location. Next time, we'll probably stay in the park.
- Pinuccia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Astrid (8/5): Very good -
- Dolker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alfred (10/5): National Park Visit - The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees. When we got there, he was spot on.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a great spot about 30mins out from the Big Stump Entrance to Kings Canyon NP. There are no groceries nearby and very sparce restaurants which the property was clear about so we got groceries in Fresno before driving up. The kitchen has enough utensils for simple meals. Coffee and a few essentials like cooking oil, salt and pepper were provided. Overall a little dated but clean. We enjoyed the view from our deck and being able to explore the grounds.
- Emily (5/5): Passable -
- Carmen (10/5): - Was very much surprised when we arrived at our destination. House was spotless. The wifi was fast. Armando the manager was very helpful and accommodating.
- Kim (10/5): - Our hosts were tremendous, we even had our own personal barista and some great cats that I could love on and feed while I was there. The property is beautiful. It was dark skies so we saw a lot of meteors. Our cabin was gorgeous. Overlooked a lake and. the mountains ,canceled an extra night in LA to stay in Sequoia resort for one additional day.
- Falk (9/5): Superb - Nice and quiet but a bit remote
- Michel (4/5): Don't expect too much from the studio - It is close to Sequoia National Park. You can walk around, there is a nice pond. Starlink internet was OK. We rented the studio which is just a room, no view, limited kitchen with no extractor hood. Problems with wasps entering the room. There is nothing there, no bar, no shop. You are not allowed to swim in the pond. All mentioned facilities sound private but are just shared spaces.
- Vicky (7/5): Comfortable stay in a private house. - These are individual houses/cottages that provide plenty of privacy. The full size deck overlooks the property with a pond below. It was clean, had all the necessities we needed and even had a library where you could borrow books and DVDs free of charge. You are located in a very rural area with little choice of restaurants, stores or shops.
- Enrico (9/5): Superb - Spacoius, great property, cool manager, fast starlink internet Some things are a bit outdated, however was not a problem for us.
- Ross (10/5): Comfortable and well maintained facility, the staff was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. - Clean property that was well maintained. A little far from the national parks, however it was the nearest available accommodation.
