Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): Another Great Stay - Never disappointed. Great location and easy access to downtown and medical area.
- Anthony (10/5): - It was a nice night stay.
- Alejandra (8/5): - What I like about the inn was that it wasn’t a long drive to get to the stadium and I also liked the tv in there
- Rick (10/5): - Nice staff, clean room, overall really good experience.
- Becsy (10/5): - Good value stay. Room spacious and clean. Quiet night. Staff was helpful and friendly
- Paul (8/5): - cheap
- sammie (6/5): - This hotel was like a motel very small parking lot. Too many people coming in and out all night long. The light in the parking lot was dem. The only good thing that it was close to NRG.
- Mark (10/5): - Clean and quiet hotel!
- Debbie (8/5): - Stale odor
- Jesirae (10/5): - Very close to NRG and inexpensive. It was raining when we arrived and staff gave us a room under the staircase for easy and dry load-in.
- Jen (10/5): - It was clean, comfortable and a nice size room.
- Francisco (10/5): - Very pleasant stay
- Raymond (10/5): Quick and comfortable - Quick check in plenty of parking
- Joe (8/5): - Cost friendly, clean room for an overnight trip to NRG stadium. Would stay here again!
- Connie (4/5): - Noisy neighborhood
- Timothy (10/5): - Staff was extremely polite. Definitely helpful and professional. Room was clean and smelled nice. Insulation on the exterior walls was a little lacking so it was slightly louder than it should’ve been. Also weatherproofing wasn’t great. Had about a half inch crack underneath the door that goes outside. Otherwise, good stay definitely worth the money!
- Mischa (10/5): - Guy at front desk was absolutely helpful and professional
- MATT (6/5): - When I walked into the front office, I was taken aback by the bad smell. I thought I made a mistake by booking a room in this hotel. The man at the front desk said they would not have any coffee in the morning either. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. The coffee in the room tasted awful. I had to go to the nearby gas station to get decent coffee. Overall stay was okay. I will even come back and stay here with adjusted expectations.
- Maggie (10/5): - Stay here was good overall, clean and safe.
- kurt (10/5): - great staff,and clean room
- Gloria (8/5): - Hard to find
- Shai (2/5): - The room we received was not ready or was occupied by someone. Got another room but the AC had a problem and the air it produced was super humid that our floor in the morning was wet.
- Gary (10/5): - It is/was so peaceful the property is clean the rooms are nice. They can always get my business
- Gilles (10/5): - Very nice room for the price and very nice staff
- Hector (8/5): Good hotel for your money - It was a nice. Clean room with a good bed. They have a good amount of toiletries. It was a little noise because the y are close to the freeway
- John (4/5): Terrible and unsafe - I feel very misled because this place has a rating MUCH HIGHER than it deserves. And the room rates are far higher than the value received. While the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the property felt unsafe. Front desk employees are behind thick bulletproof glass and guests are left totally exposed to the surrounding bad neighborhood. Located right next to the freeway, traffic noise is horrible. Also, my socks were filthy after just minutes of walking around in my room. I would never stay here again.
- Mark (8/5): - Another great stay
- Lou (10/5): - I haves stayed here for many years it is convenient to Houston rodeo for the volunteers.
- Derek (10/5): Clean hotel. Kind service. Secure. - The hotel is ran very well and kept clean. Bed was comfortable. The parking lot is very well lit. The only downside was that the highway noise was loud at times, but eventually subsided at night. For the price, cleanliness and service, you cant beat this hotel. Highly recommend!
- Tim (10/5): - Excellent
- Theresa (10/5): - My third stay for a NRG event, perfect spot. Staff is always super friendly !
- Deanna (10/5): - We always stay here for the Houston Stock show lamb breeding. It always comfortable and affordable.
- Alaina (6/5): Decent for price - The hotel was clean and easy to find. The location is sketchy. And they aren’t permitted to serve continental breakfast by city ordinance….this is a motel not a hotel.
- Patricia A (10/5): Near NRG Stadium - Last minute trip. Was pleasantly surprised at how clean the property and room was. Ample space. Parking on site.
- James (10/5): Wish it was cheaper - Wish it was a little cheaper, i would stay here every time. My wife is sick and we come to md Anderson every month for at least 3 days. This place is so convenient!!!! Just a little pricey
- Tyrone (8/5): - My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. Management was very helpful and accommodating.
- Jena (10/5): - Nice room that made us feel very comfortable.
- Bethann (8/5): Decent - Good for the price. Comfortable room. No amenities.
- Scott (8/5): - The female cleaner opened my door without my permission, making me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
- Bao (10/5): - Great place to stay and relatively quiet. The room where we stayed we can still hear some traffic but it was tolerable.
- Roger (10/5): - Very good room, great price for the area, quick, convenient location. But traffic noise is noticeable, due to how close it located to busy streets (Alameda) and to the the 610 Loop.
- Jim or Sheila (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - We were pleasantly surprised of how nice they have made a nice old motel. They don't have coffee makers in the room and they don't have a lobby or breakfast. So don't go expecting coffee first thing in the morning. But it is a nice simple and clean motel. Not a hotel.
- BRYAN (10/5): Super Clean & Nice Sttaff ! - 1. Night stay for appt. Gentleman at front desk was super. Room was very clean. Parkin Lot was well lite. Would stay again.
- Cyrstal (10/5): - Great place to stay.
Staff were very friendly!
- yangjie (8/5): - The location is convenient and plenty of free parking space. Due to Covid, no complimentary breakfast is offered. The bed is comfortable, and room is quite spacious.
- Angela (10/5): Exactly what we needed and better than we expected - 1.25 walk to nrg stadium, which was our reason for picking this location. We were in town for a weekend concert .Rooms were surprisingly large and very clean. Bare bones amenities . We needed a place to get a hot shower and good night sleep at a reasonable proce and that's exactly what we got. We will stay again for our next show visit.
- Mark (10/5): - Great stay again
Clean,quite,easy access to everything,
- Griselda (10/5): - I was upgraded to a suite, thank you..
I walked to the NGR stadium for my soccer game
- Marla (10/5): Unexpectedly great! - I had to stay last minute in the Houston area when spirit airlines had a major malfunction. Because of the recent hurricane, it was price prohibitive to stay near the airport. I managed to find Scottish Inn and suites and booked quickly, Just to ensure a place to sleep for the night. Upon arrival, Gaj (George) looked after me, and he was absolutely amazing. Making sure I had everything I needed and giving me tips about the area when I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised! It is by far the cleanest place. I’ve stayed at in ages, and it was comfortable and extra spacious. I’d had a really awful day of travel, and this was like an absolute oasis from me. I highly recommend!
- Rebeca (10/5): Nice surprise - It was a very spacious and good looking room. Couldn't believe how many amenities the room had.
- Whata (8/5): - Great service
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting - Got put into a smoking room for some reason. It smelt horrible! The sheets were a faint yellow from the room being smoked in. All of our clothes smell like smoke. Very disgusting
- Kathleen (4/5): Mixed bag but very nice front desk and staff. - Staff was wonderful. Bed was horrible but great pillows. Room was damp and musty. Great water pressure. Spotty TV the first 2 nights. Convenient location but bad neighborhood. Had some crazy guy on a bicycle shouting and pounding on doors at 3AM.
- Ajwad (8/5): - I saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Please hire pest control. Also some metal things in the bathroom were rusty . Please update these things .
But overall , it was not a bad stay . I slept well. But it could have been better.
- Mark (10/5): - Great customer Service and rooms are very clean and AC works great!
- Mark (10/5): - Great hotel and friendly staff.
- Cynthia (10/5): - No amenities nearby, but we wanted a clean, safe, inexpensive room near the NRG Stadium and that’s exactly what we got. No complaints! Small fridge, microwave, coffee pot. That’s all we needed.
- Sarah (6/5): - This hotel was just OK. There aren’t a lot of options around NRG. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable enough. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star experience. I just wanted a clean close place to sleep next to the concert venue. It’s about a 30 minute walk through a pretty sketchy neighborhood to NRG. We did it but it was a little uncomfortable.
My biggest complaint was that on our first night in the hotel some drunk or high jack a$ decided to drive his truck into the parking lot at 4 am and honk his horn over and over while trying to find someone he thought was in the hotel.Woke the whole place up. I finally called the desk attendant who informed me “The man is too drunk I cannot approach him.” to which I suggested maybe he should call the police. He told me that he would try that. So in an hour of this guy making a scene in the parking lot the attendant had never thought to call the police?!? I honestly don’t think he ever did. The guy never left. He wandered the walkway calling for whoever he was looking for some time after that. The whole place was just a so so ghetto dwelling experience.
- Paul (8/5): - Good basic room. Great for the price. No USB ports was disappointing since I left my charger at home, but had a USB cable for my car that I could have used in the room. There were plenty of electric power plugs. Don't recall if there was a tv since I arrived late and crashed. Plenty of hot water in the shower. A/C worked fine.
- Barry (10/5): - Good clean motel at good rates. Neighborhood isn't the best, as it has a lot of construction and is a bit industrial- but if you're just looking for a clean, affordable, convenient place to stay, this is a good stop!
- MICHAEL (10/5): - Very clean and well kept.
- Chasiti (10/5): - Close to the stadium, up to date room, clean and comfortable
- Leah (10/5): - Houston is causing traffic due to road construction and having to reroute Nothing about the motel was bad just getting to it
- Raichell (10/5): - Very friendly. And very clean. Tblhey also brought more towels and a blanketac wirked will
- Joey (10/5): Outstanding hotel. - The room was extremely nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again. Just blocks from NRG stadium.
- Melinda (10/5): - This was in the perfect location near NRG stadium. Very clean, well lit & the people working there were very friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!
- Theresa (10/5): - Front staff always friendly and accommodating, super close to NRG stadium. This is my 2nd stay, will definitely go back.
- Shawn (10/5): - My wife and I are traveling cooks so a good night's sleep is important to us. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean and the gentleman that checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. He even loaned us a corkscrew! We'd happily stay at this location again.
- Martha (10/5): - It was ok
- cindy (8/5): - Place is minimal but clean. Staff is nice but in a noisy traffic area
- Michael (6/5): - It was a good location for why I was in town. The neighborhood was ok & I felt safe. Not many stores or restaurants nearby & there was road construction that made getting in and out a little challenging. The hotel was clean and basic and I would stay there again.
- Theresa (8/5): - Reviews say walking distance to NRG, true but you wouldn't!! Staff member at desk, very nice. Very dated but clean. Location makes it a little tricky to pull in/out. Not far from walmart, restaurants. I would stay there again.
- miranda (10/5): HOUSTON STAY - This hotel, based on many of our travels and stays is by far the most comfortable stay we have ever had. Great pillows on the bed and everything was very very clean. Hotel people very nice. I hope to see this chain good in other parts they have hotels.great experience.
- David (10/5): Will definitely come back! - Very, very clean!
- Sheila (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Sheila (10/5): - Very clean property and very quiet..love that housekeeping comes daily
- Sheila (10/5): - Love this hotel and will stay in it more often while visiting Houston
- Marna (10/5): - Best compliment I can offer: I would stay here again without hesitation!
- David (8/5): - all was good, the only issue was that the refrigerator was broken.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean, service was good but mini fridge was not cold and AC did not cool room well
- Barbara (6/5): I question the rating - The front desk has safety glass like a ticket window. The room smelled musty. The bathroom door had a very loud creak when opening and shutting.
- David (10/5): Scottish Inns & Suites at MD Anderson CC. - Scottish Inn & Suites was an excellent choice for our trip to MD Anderson Cancer Center. They are just a 10 minute drive.
The staff and management were friendly and professional. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The facility is clean and well maintained. The waterfall is a pleasant feature to hear and see while there. I will be staying here EVERY time we travel to MD Anderson, which will be many times. Having this decision solved for us is a huge load off my mind.
- Christy (10/5): - Excellent choice for someone attending an event at NRG. It's right about a mile walk to the stadium and we felt safe. Great customer service, clean rooms, not a single complaint! They even upgraded our room for free because they had a bigger one available! I will definitely stay here again.
- Claude (10/5): - Close to Arena
- Jennifer (10/5): - We chose this on proximity to NRG Stadium and the good reviews from prior customers. Very clean and you can tell owner(s) take pride in the property. Gajendra was super helpful and sweet. Upgraded us at no charge, stored our luggage when we arrived early, suggested places to see/things to do and provided top notch customer service (a text to let us know our room was ready early!) Clean, comfortable, safe accommodations at a good price...
- Aubrey (10/5): Very nice place to stay! - I am guessing the person I met at check in was the owner or manager. He was so friendly and accommodating. I had made a mistake in my reservation and he went out of his way to help. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I was looking for a place that was clean, affordable, and close to NRG Center and this hotel met all of those criteria.
- Michael (8/5): - The room was clean. Unfortunately it smelled like Mr. Clean as if it was the room
Deodorizer. There was no shampoo or conditioner. The lotion that was in the room looked as if it had been used. The bed was comfortable enough, not luxurious. The pillows were great. The shower had fantastic water pressure. We made this reservation last minute to be in town for the rodeo and concert. The price was more than fair for the room. Not being from TX couldn’t say much about the area. Lots of road construction in the area. We walked to the stadium but took an uber back at midnight. The room was quiet and we slept well. Overall, not a bad stay. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and helpful and spoke English well.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Super close to NRG stadium making it really conviene for the Houston rodeo. IMPRESSED with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Great prices - will come back again.
- Austin (10/5): - Good
- Margarita (10/5): - We arrived a little early and hoped we could drop off our luggage before exploring Houston and sure enough we were accommodated. We also got an upgrade to a room with a king instead of the queen we selected. Great service from friendly staff. Clean, good set up with minifridge and microwave, came in handy to rewarm our leftovers. There is highway construction around the hotel, but we had no problem navigating it. The hotel has a wall around the property so felt very safe. Close proximity to NRG stadium and close drive to shopping at Rice Village. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. Must stay. Will come back.
- Toyin (8/5): - The facility is old. Otherwise it’s okay.
- Manju (8/5): - Property was in good shape, the surrounding area was bare with construction on going
- Lori (8/5): - Loved how close it was to NRG Stadium, Well lit at night, fensing made me safe. a Little road construction close to Hotel. Main negitive, is there was some blood on bathroom door in 2 places, needs to be corrected. But over all great place to stay, I didnt hear vehicles on Hwy.... felt very safe, Lori from Southeast Tx
- Azka (10/5): - We stayed for 2 days, the manager was very nice, he agreed to let us check-in before the actual time and offered to show us around in the morning, he was extremely polite and professional. The room was clean, staff was friendly, would definitely recommend it. There is construction in front of the hotel, our uber left us at a gas station nearby but the manager was very nice to pick us up in his car. would highly recommend staying.
- madhu sudan (10/5): - It was amazing. Incredibly clean and good sized rooms. Very helpful. Will certainly stay again. Quite close to Texas Medical Center and Rice University
- Anthony (10/5): Trip - Had a good trip!
- Courtney (10/5): - I was worried the room would be loud being so close to the road but it really wasn't an issue at all. This worked perfectly during our stay in Houston for the rodeo.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall very impressed with our 2 night stay! We were upgraded to a larger room at no cost. The hotel is central to many Houston sites, clean and very good value for the cost. My only gripe is that there was no free breakfast as was advertised on multiple websites and there was only one trash can in the bathroom, none in the larger sitting/bedroom area. Aside from these small things, we would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Payment - Be wary! You have to pay at the front desk! Payment doesn’t come from the app.
- Ryka (10/5): - This was our second time to stay there, and I would stay there again. Only a couple of things I would change. Both times we stayed, we were in room 105. The refrigerator did not have a temp adjustment and was just a few degrees cooler then ambient temp. The freezer section was more like what the refrigerator section should have been like. Could not refreeze our ice packs. The other thing is the bath towels could have been nicer. They were rather threadbare.
