The breakfast included needs a lot of - It was convenient on the highway and a short drive to amenities It was set up very bizarrely. Floors with no elevator. Like a maze. • Charlene (10/5): Convenient, quiet, comfy, clean, great view, friendly staff. - The most friendly down to earth staff. Lot's of new reno's and a view that can't be beat. Can't wait for the pool to be open again. I didn't have time to try the complimentary breakfast. Next time! What I really love is that the rooms are all on the water facing side, so there is zero traffic noise...unless it's a boat. I guess you need to be fit to take the stairs. I don't have a problem with stairs so for me it was okay. I think there is an elevator, but I don't actually know where it is. I really have zero complaints.

The ham on the bennies was thinly sliced deli ham. The sauce was scant and not hot and the eggs overcooked. The pancakes were not cooked through and the maple syrup was “fake”. No choice of breads for toast and the bread used was “cheap”. They were out of breakfast potatoes (!) but tried to accommodate with potatoes wedges which were just ok. Apparently there is a new executive chef there and he is revamping the dinner menu but if his team can’t make a decent breakfast, how can they make a good dinner. There are many much much better places for breakfast in town. Skip the great view and go for great or at least good food.

• Doug (7/5): - The view is great, one of the reasons that I stay there I am starting to have mobility issues and asked to have a room on the main floor as you have to go up and down stairs to get to the other floors. I really had to push the check in clerk to make this happen.

• Rose Marie (9/5): - The location is wonderful overlooking the Georgia strait. Our was large with 2 queen beds. Microwave, fridge and coffee service. The front desk has amazing staff. The dining room serves up a great breakfast and dinner. The servers were wonderful and the food was delicious. The hotel is undergoing renovations. Smart TVs are going to be installed soon. We stayed on the fifth floor, and the water temperature in the shower needs some serious work. Large temperature fluctuations, makes for an unpleasant experience . Hopefully this is addressed in the renovation.

• Heidi (6/5): The anchor inn is a pleasant stay and a good location with great views. - The room was comfortable and the view was good. Breakfast was good, although not much variety. There were no glasses or proper cups for tea or coffee, just paper take away cups. Also no UHT milk, just powdered milk which tasted awful in tea. there was no English breakfast tea in the room and no kettle just a coffee machine.

• Michelle (7/5): Excellent value for money. - We had a lovely ocean view and brought binoculars to view the sea lions and birdlife. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant and also enjoyed the views over the ocean while we ate our dinner and breakfast. We had hot scrambled eggs with toast and cubed hash browns for breakfast (plenty of food to keep us going for our morning heading out birdwatching at Tyee spit). The Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. We also loved seeing the fat racoon lumbering along in the foliage below the hotel (so gorgeous). The hotel is older and most things are still needing updating. The roof is unattractive but we stayed in a higher up room where we could look beyond the ugly roof out towards ocean and Quadra Island. The carpets are old and the wallpaper is old and there was a mark on our ceiling. Some beer cans seem to have been dropped down in the grasses below the balconies and it needs cleaning up a bit. We can see that the hotel is in the process of trying to update. There were rolls of wallpaper in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were being repaired. I already knew that the hotel was older and in need of renos so none of this was a surprise. The great location, views and staff are why I like staying here.

We were amazed at the ocean view and pleasantly surprised at the high-end quality of the service, drinks, and food. Can't recommend the calamari and seared tuna enough! Cocktails were absolutely delicious and beautifully garnished with a local ladies' gorgeous dried fruit creations!

Warum stellt man Schilder auf, an die sich eh niemand hält …? In der heutigen Zeit darf das nicht mehr unberücksichtigt sein und ist bei vielen auch nicht gewünscht! Lage etwas außerhalb, aber das Zentrum sehr schnell erreichbar. Zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten. KEIN Handtuchwechsel notwendig!

• Heather (8/5): - The view is spectacular. Saw whales, and seals. The room was clean and linens were great. Wallpaper is starting to peel in some spots but its only cosmetic. My only real issue is that if you are on floor 6 or 7 it is not accessible for people who struggle with multiple floors of stairs. The elevator only goes to the 4th floor and the lobby is the 5th. Above that it is tough to do the climb. But otherwise super happy with our stay and we will be back!
