• Chris (9/5): A very relaxing quiet stay for me. Will try again, next time i come to Statesboro. - The decor and environment was great. It felt warm and welcoming. I liked that it was open and inviting. (almost like being home) I didn't interact with the staff much (no one to check in or out with, i liked it that way), but the little that i did, they were very friendly. I did not use it but i like that it had a FULL kitchen and dining table to use if you needed to. Lots of entertainment options inside, as well as comfy quiet spaces outside to relax. (only me and another couple in the whole place, was nice) I don't really have much about it that i didn't like. The only thing i could think of that could be better is, the walls are a little thin. I could hear the room next to me showering and a little when they were talking (not a big enough deal for me to say it was a bad stay). I did not realize at the time that the road leading to the place was sandy. I would not recommend bringing a motorcycle as it is a little tricky keeping traction with all the sand.

You had a call number and asked him to put the heat on which we did but we were cold at night. Can’t control it yet. Can’t be calling every time you wanna get the heat up or done there’s no Kleenexes in the room here or in the bathroom, it had to blow your nose yet to use toilet paper. Be nice. I had a mirror and then the bedroom is one in the bathroom but then someone’s in there, there’s nothing here to comb your hair or anything in the in the room.

• Tina (8/5): Awesome place to relax and enjoy the small town of Statesboro. - My daughter and I were there to prom dress shop in downtown Statesboro. Loved the lodge and the decor. Super close to town. Very clean and every thing was rustic and just felt very cozy. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. I liked the self checkin. We had the property to ourselves when we got there. About 11pm we heard the next door guests come in and could hear every word they spoke. We also could hear the gentleman snoring all night as if he were in the room with us. Thank goodness for the included sound machine that helped a small bit. It did get warm, so I would bring a fan next time. The neighbors got up early, and could hear them all over again. They were staying again, so made it easier to decide to head on over to Hartwell to dress shop vs staying another night.
• Diana (8/5): Great lodge - Great lodge. Great stay. Easy and clear instructions for check-in. I checked in late. Beautiful downstairs common area. Nice swings outside. I did not use any of them, but they had grills outside, and the kitchen was stocked with dishes and utensils. There was a nice dining area, and games and other things to play in the living room. I did not go into the laundry room, but it appeared that it was for guests. Our room had two single beds. It was a small room and a small bathroom, but it suited our needs. Fridge was cleaned out but not wiped down. It really needed it. If you are a very light sleeper, bring something to cancel out the noise because you can hear the toilets flush in other rooms.

• Mary (6/5): much appreciated late booking when under duress due to recent hurricanes - quiet. staff responded quickly to my late booking/arrival. clean. booking receipt included 2 adults and an extra bed/pullout, and now the bonus questions says I asked for a quiet room. None of these are what I input when booking online. I was 1 adult, no extra bed needed and no quiet room request. I think this is a booking.com problem and not the facility's issue.
• Tazwell (10/5): - Quiet lodge, easy access, very clean and very nice staff. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a unique, affordable place to sleep and meet other guest in the spacious lobby/den, it’s the place.

• Woods (10/5): I enjoyed the atmosphere of the establishment, would definitely stay again. - Unfortunately we did not get to stay and see what the breakfast deal was about. We woke up later than we expected and had to rush out. Great experience overall, would stay again. The only thing I really had an issue was there wasn’t an iron or ironing board in the rooms like in hotels usually. There could have been one on site I could have asked to use but I didn’t have the time to ask. I know the location is more of a hunting lodge than hotel but it’s one thing I would have liked.

• Rhiannon (8/5): We enjoyed it - i liked how comfortable and homie it felt, it was really fun for me and my friends to stay we all really enjoyed it. we were pretty far out but close enough to go places. the aesthetic was super funny to us for no apparent reason. the problem we had was no staff was actually in the building, we had to call to get the door code and ti get the thermostat turned down. it was incredibly hot in the rooms to which we asked for them to be turned down, they were but only a few degrees. it was very very warm.

The dirt road wasn’t expected, and it had rained a good bit. That was the only negative for us. Thanks again.

Interestingly, Red Fern Plantation Lodge turned out to be the best part of our entire vacation. My wife and I are now looking for reasons to return to the area for an extended stay at the lodge. This is a very clean, interesting, and unique location!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Location is off the beaten path with plenty of space to view the flora and fauna. Lodge is spacious with comfortable seating and several amenities. Pool table needs to be repaired, however I spent my time outdoors on the patio both in the evening and early morning. Plenty of dove and deer and even a few quail seen in the fields. Did not turn on the TV so I can't comment on channels, movies etc. but Wi-Fi connection was good.
• Cindy (10/5): - This lodge is absolutely spotless! SO many personal touches everywhere you look. Amazing kitchen, rec area, rooms...can't say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay there and we don't hunt!!! It was just a fabulous place to get away!
• James (10/5): Nice, quiet, and a little off the beaten path - We came for a GSU scholars event. Had the whole place to ourselves for the night. Very clean and quiet. The automatic gate was a little finicky as we were heading out for the evening, but it ended up working. Overall we enjoyed the decor and having several options of games to play was a bonus.
• Steve (8/5): - Loved the lodge. Felt right at home. Was nice to be out of the city and watch the sun go down.
• Jane (8/5): - We never saw any personnel as we left early and arrived late in the day. The second morning there was no coffee available. We noticed cereal and some other morning food items, but it was not clear if those items were for guest use. It would be nice to have access to pick up items on site for breakfast.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Very cool place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. It’s a hunting lodge but stayed for a college parent weekend. Beautiful surroundings. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing breakfast or lunch.
• Jill (10/5): Convenient & Clean; a true hunting lodge resort. - Did not realize this was an actual hunting resort property. No frills and geared towards hunters, the rooms were charming and clean and the property management was very nice. It felt more like staying in a hunting themed bed & breakfast. Quite convenient to Ga Southern University campus.
• Paul (8/5): Unique hunting lodge with an entertainment room - While we were not too sure on how to get to the location, once we found it, everything was great.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Very unique facility. It is a hunting lodge - Very clean and comfortable with all kind of amenities . Only rented when facility not in use by hunters. No staff on duty but we were given the run of the house and told we could make anything in the kitchen we wanted for breakfast. First class facility in somewhat remote area
• Chris (10/5): Interior Decor was Breathtaking! - This is a hotel on lovely acreage for hunt trips. There is plenty of land, groomed, for bird hunting. My stay was just to attend a 50th anniversary party in the area. 3 miles away. Upon arrival, I noticed the lodge. Barnwood. The interior is warm, old barnwood, beautiful large comfortable chairs and couch. Modern stocked (food and snacks) kitchen for cooking and breakfast, lunch dinner. Pool table, large screen TV (Cable). Deer antlers, stuffed fish, and game on all the walls. The bedrooms are warm, carpeted, cable TV, ample bathroom space, again all very rustic and beautiful. The interior design made use of old barn metal roofing for ceilings and some wall coverage. There is no way I can describe the beauty of this place. Looks like a Cabela's. I would recommend it to anyone. Bring your camera! WiFi for those that cant seem get away from their phone. Turn it off and enjoy! Chris
