• Mary Alzire (10/5): Classic SP accomodation - Wonderful location, beautiful building, very easy access. I appreciate the portable air conditioning unit for my room. The virtual concierge was very responsive to text messages. There was live music both nights and while some people might have found it too loud, I truly enjoyed the live band just outside my window. The same overflowing trash was in the lobby for my entire two-night stay. The hotel was maybe not as well kept up as I was expecting.

Little things in the room were not working, or just not up to date with modern accommodation expectations. .. fitted sheet on the bed had a rip in it, soap dispenser was empty, safe did not work.

There is no staff on site that I could tell, but they were very responsive to texting. The building is older, but renovated beautifully. While everything was beautiful in the rooms and the lobby was comfortable, the dresser was extremely dusty on the drawers, the small hand-held mirror had dust and hair on it and the baseboards were extremely dusty. So, cleaning wasn't quite up to par.

For a boutique hotel in downtown Southern Pines that goes all out with Christmas lights, I would have thought at a minimum the Fall pumpkins outside the building would have been replaced by the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I was disappointed there wasn't a decoration to be found anywhere in the building. Its clear this is more of an Airbnb set up, rather than a "inn" as there are no staff on-site at all. Seems like a missed opportunity given the location. It also took a really long time for the shower to heat up (close to 5 minutes).

Best location to stay in downtown Southern Pines (and it's my hometown) There was a clanging noise in the wall whenever the heat came on.

We walked to Betsy Crepes (10), got Pizza across the street (10) and stopped at Neville’s for a drink (10). We golfed at Pine Needles and will stay here again. The sheets looked soiled. The towels did not smell washed and had big holes in them. The bathroom floor was not clean. There were no cups in the bathroom to rinse your mouth with. The coffee service came with just 2 packets of sweetner.

The outdoor patio was quaint, comfortable and the live music was excellent! The staff were very good. D’Onna was exceptional! Getting in and getting to our room was very easy and quick. We did have to clean off the furniture ourselves, but it was easily done. It could be difficult to find stuff on the property to ask for anything additional. We had bought some wine and cheese to have onsite to relax before the lounge opened and the music started. Though were we quickly given wine glasses , there was no cutlery or plates that we could use. Eventually one of the staff found paper plates and plastic forks

• Heather (10/5): Southern charming inn with a luxury feel perfectly placed in Downtown Southern Pines - Perfectly placed in walking distance of all of the sweet southern charm of Southern Pines! We walked to yoga and smoothies next door, to dinner around the corner, to shopping all along the Main Street! Nothing! Honestly, the Inn is beautiful! I live in Charleston where this gem would be priced three times as high so I was delighted with every aspect! Easy remote check in but also a friendly face on arrival, beautiful comfortable beds with high quality linens, renovated luxury bathrooms and a separate living room- it was all such an over- delivery of expectations and a wonderful experience. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday but I was excited to see that had a lounge open later in the week and an expansive back patio for live music later in the week. I’ll be back!

• Bruce (7/5): I would like to stay at the hotel again. - The online aspect of check-in, service, and check-out is unusual and somewhat challenging. If service is needed, it is comforting to be able to rely on staff members who are reliably present. In our case, the staff members were present when we needed them. The hotel location in the middle of a quaint community with attractive Amtrak station just two minutes away is very appealing. The indoor and outdoor public spaces were somewhat spartan. They could be more decorative. More outdoor flowers in front and more green (trees, bushes) in back would be good.

• E2424LGtaram (10/5): Family Stay - My family was in town for the Carolina International Horse Show and wanted to stay in town. We had a wonderful stay. D'Onna was over the top from the time we parked our car until we checked out. Her and her team were ready to help us with our luggage and anything else we needed such as extra coffee pods and creamer (even asked which flavors of coffee we preferred)! There was a bit of confusion with our room but D'Onna handled it beautifully and I could not have asked for any more professionalism. The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and the rooms had everything we needed. We stayed in room #9 for two nights and room #12 for one night. Both rooms were very spacious and accommodated our family of 4. The restaurant/bar downstairs looked fun but we were so exhausted after all day at the horse park that we were ready to tuck it in. The sound machines in the rooms were great! I would highly recommend this boutique hotel!

Air conditioner didn't cool our room below 75° all night. Not enough outlets in the room (that weren't already being used by items in the room). No iron. Would love if there were some small snacks available, like a mini bar, even just for purchase!
• Carrie (9/5): Definitely will stay at the Jefferson again! - Great customer service as they texted me when the room was ready and very clean! Our jr suite was very spacious! Recommend trying to get a room on the top floor as this is an old historic building with old floors so you can hear the footsteps upstairs.
• Denise (3/5): Not doing that again. - Close to downtown and great quaint little Shopping area The hotel has no front desk staff, our room smelled of urine and was laid out weird. None of the windows open they are all painted shut- we were moved to a different room and it was over the bar. Loud bar music until 1am thumping under our beds- certainly not the quiet room we had requested.

• Price (8/5): Very enjoyable! - I love the location. This is my 2nd visit and I love the rooms. I stayed in Room 2 the first visit and room 12 this time. I really LOVE Room 12! Very comfortable with great natural light. The bar was much louder this time versus last year when I visited. Thankfully, being up in Rm 12 it didn't bother me too much but my co-worker was in the room directly below me and she struggled with noise.

Our room was ready before our arranged check in time, the remote locks are seem less, the staff was very communicative and accommodating. Definitely recommend. N/A

• Laura (1/5): Bad - My stay was canceled three hours before check in without any help or consideration in assistance with getting me housing on a very busy weekend in the area. Neither was I offered an opportunity to revisit with maybe one night waived for the inconvenience. I paid more than double for booking at another facility last minute. Poor customer service.

• Tim (9/5): Excellent place to stay very near downtown Sourthern Pines, and an excellent hotel. - Very nice bathroom. Suite in room #2 was very nice. I would definitely stay at the Jefferson Inn again. Very close to downtown Southern Pines. Heater fan made a very loud noise every time it came on during the night.

• Ben (10/5): An overall enjoyable experience in downtown Southern Pines! - Enjoyed the ease of checking in. I was sent multiple emails detailing how to get access and at what time. And then when my room was ready I was sent a text message. No dealing with people at a front desk, just enter your code and you're in. We usually bring a noise machine to sleep with and that drowned out any noises from the downstairs bar. We were on the 3rd floor so the noise was muted to begin with. But being a Saturday evening there were people enjoying themselves at the 1901 Lounge. Just be aware of that before booking. I did notice a slight odor on one of the pillow cases we were using. Not sure if it was the pillow itself or the case didn't get washed well. The bed was a little uncomfortable as it's an innerspring mattress and getting towards the end of its lifespan. But I still slept well.

• Ashley (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent. The suite was set up well to accommodate our family of four. Older facility with charm but poor noise insulation. The guest staying above us woke us up at 4:40am.
