Guest Reviews
- SoonerThump (2/5): Do yourself a favor and pass on this "motel" - I had stayed at this hotel before and after checking out was sent an email for a review which I did, my review was not positive based on booking the room for the full kitchen that doesn't even have one fork or a single coffee cup, not a single pan, bowl, plate or anything to use in the full kitchen which again was booked for the purpose of it being a "full kitchen" to cook in during my stay, I guess they think travelers should pack their own utensils and cookware.
I also noted that the room door doesn't go all the way to the floor and the noise from the hallways was very loud, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, the breakfast provided was horrible and not edible unless you were accustomed to eating stale junk food in a wrapper.
Anyway flash forward to coming to El Dorado again, I tried to book at the nicer IHG hotel next door but it was booked up so I made another reservation at this hotel and when I arrived the manager's wife looked my reservation up and rudely commented some undistinguishable gibberish then left the desk area and came back with the manger as apparently the entire family lives on site in the hotel, the manager then asked my name and also asked if I had left a bad review for them for my prior stay at their hotel which I acknowledged I had in deed done, they then said I was banned from the hotel and was denied my check in because I had left them a bad review for my prior stay.............
So instead of using the review system as feedback to improve their hotel they simply ignored their faults and just denied my reservation, I have this interaction on video so don't even try to deny this or I will post the video here.............I then left and booked a room with a reputable hotel a few minutes down the road.
Somehow they keep getting my review taken down, the dates of my stay was in 2024 but people need to know this place is very fishy and there are much better and actual Hotels to stay at than this place.
- Stefanie (4/5): - Lage .nah zum College Frühstück war nicht gut.Zimmer und Austattung nicht aktueller Standart
- Bobbette (10/5): Almost perfect!!!! - We enjoyed our stay very much, very comfortable, clean and nice employees. I would say that breakfast could include eggs. We will always stay here when in town. Breakfast. The only thing I didn't like.
- Mandi (1/5): Rude Check-in, Avoid this place! - It was clean. I chose to stay at this Days Inn based on positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
I had booked the room through Booking.com while on the road. In the rush, I mistakenly selected "2 adults" instead of including my 2 children in the occupancy, though I booked a room with 2 queen beds, which clearly accommodates four people. When I arrived after 10 PM, the front desk staff was not welcoming, no smile, no pleasantries, she seemed bothered that I wanted to check in. She asked, “Two adults?” The kids were in the car, but I immediately corrected her and realized m omission. She instantly became combative and accused me of lying and trying to cheat the hotel out of money. I calmly apologized for the oversight and asked how to correct it. I even checked the app and confirmed the price didn’t change when updating the occupancy—but she insisted that was wrong and chastised me for "lying," repeatedly saying I had to pay per person because it’s "more work for housekeeping."
I tried to de-escalate and even apologized, again, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day, to which she snapped, "I wasn’t until you lied." I was shocked at how personally she took what was an honest mistake despite my willingness to correct it.
She brought up an issue about emergencies—saying in a disaster, they wouldn’t know to look for four people. I agreed that’s valid and asked to update the record. She didn’t seem to know how at first, then eventually updated it, yet still claimed it was “a problem” because it wasn’t “written on the sheet,” so I wrote it down, but she continued criticizing me.
If I were trying to deceive anyone, I wouldn’t have openly told her about the kids. I genuinely felt like I was being profiled and treated with suspicion since she seemed to have an issue with me from the start. She refused to give me her name or the manager’s contact information, and only referred to me as “lady” throughout.

I genuinely felt like I was being profiled and treated with suspicion since she seemed to have an issue with me from the start. She refused to give me her name or the manager’s contact information, and only referred to me as “lady” throughout. It was incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting—it was 10 minutes of her treating me with utter disdain.
I tried to cancel through Booking.com, but they said it would require the hotel’s cooperation, and since she was the only staff on-site, I didn’t feel safe pushing further. We ended up staying, but I didn’t get much rest because I was so hurt and confused.
I followed up with the morning manager, Purva, who was initially vague about her role but later revealed she and her husband were the new owner-managers. When I raised concerns about how I was treated during check-in, she reiterated the policy with regard to needing an accurate count for the room—which I agreed with and never disputed—but she failed to address the disrespect I experienced. She even told me that the staff member had been there several years and “she was just particular” about things which seemed like her excusing this unacceptable behavior. The staff member involved was openly rude, again, this time in front of the manager, refused to apologize, and even brought in three housekeeping staff in what felt like an attempt to intimidate me. While the manager eventually refunded my stay, the resolution felt like an afterthought. Basic improvements like staff name tags, a visible manager contact, and clear expectations for respectful guest treatment are urgently needed. The hotel was exceptionally clean, convenient, and updated, but the unnamed woman (probably in her 60s, permed/wavy platinum blond hair and bangs with blue eyes and glasses) who was so incredibly hateful make it not worthwhile. Also, there were no secondary locks on our door which was odd.
As someone who goes out of their way to be honest and follow the rules, this experience felt humiliating, unfair, and unwelcoming. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will not be returning.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing - Pillows were hard, bathroom was not clean...overall very disappointing. Staff was friendly, but room didnt live up to expectations.
- Robert (10/5): - Good appearance. Well taken care of.
- O3168WJjenniferd (10/5): Kansas Hospitality - Very pleasant stop on road trip. Clean, quiet and well-maintained. Super friendly staff!
We will make this our go to stay in future.
- Nazario (10/5): - The staff was pretty friendly and the room was excellent for the price.
- Simpson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (7/5): Good - I took a yogurt for breakfast.
- Jeanette (10/5): - Very clean, quiet and spacious. Excellent place to stay.
- Lizbet (2/5): - Very unprofessional staff
- Francis (8/5): - It was fine
- Patrick (4/5): Lacking value - Close to freeway No amenities; no hot breakfast; rooms not cleaned daily
- Koehn (3/5): Poor - Nice hotel The manager working late Friday night was very very rude as soon as we walked in the door. And got worse from there
- Thane (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet
- Jonathan (10/5): - Easy Check in with reservation and was allowed to check in early after a long road trip.. Great customer service in the earlier part of the day.
- Leslye (10/5): Newly redecorated, large room, good location. - Really large room, with a good kitchen set up, if a family needs that sort of thing. Very nice check in person; we couldn’t figure out the TV, she came over with her teenage son (tech wizard, yay!) and got us going without fuss or making us feel tech challenged. Refrigerator was unusually loud, actually woke us up a few times.
- Wendel (10/5): - Immaculantly kept property
Breakfast is minimal but you didnt pay for it either!😁
- Trish (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was super friendly and took great care of everything we asked for! The room was better than expected and comfortable!! Especially loved the fact that they don't allow pets, it was exceptionally nice to not smell dog or pot smoking, will always stay here for our annual trip! There is nothing at all I didn't like, I can't give an opinion about breakfast because we slept in too long but that is totally my hubby's fault
- Carol (10/5): A very good place - This facility is very good.
- JOHN (4/5): El Dorado - The thermostat did Not seem to work. Set to 68 for sleep. Woke up twice during night with temp in room over 75 degrees.
No microwave available in dinning area, even though they have foods requiring microwave(oatmeal) etcc.
- Kelly (10/5): - Comfortable bed, nice size room. Suite came with full fridge and oven/stove. Well kept hotel.
- 633sueg (10/5): Great find! - This hotel was a great experience. Everything about it was just what you'd hope for. It's beautifully painted, extremely clean, very nicely appointed rooms, friendly staff and well priced. We would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.
- Alan (10/5): - We were immediately struck by the cleanliness and appearance of this facility and very impressed!
- Bonnie (10/5): Very good. - Appreciated it had a full sized refrigerator. Clean and comfortable.
- Vici (10/5): Very pleasant! - Very big rooms and really clean
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Perfect and quiet -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (4/5): - Person who checked me in was not friendly. Kept asking if I had a pet. The lobby is nice but the room was dismal. Nothing like the photos. It felt sketchy. The continental breakfast was a joke. All sugary items. Nothing for a healthy breakfast. Coffee machine made you fill up the coffee cup about an ounce at a time. Horrible hotel can't believe it had a higher rating than the Holiday Inn right next door. Don't trust you any more Expedia.
- Amber (9/5): Superb -
- Sheldon (8/5): - Great location and reasonably priced.
- Gretchen (7/5): Lovely hotel that met every expectation, except pool was closed for maintenance every day. - The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, towels fluffy, clean and absorbent. Staff were ki d, knowledgeable and friendly. Clean, well lit parking lot. Well maintained and working shower. We especially enjoyed the full size fridge, stove and microwave. It saved us money on eating out. The pool was closed due to an issue with the pump. Pools are a big deal, and can even be the deciding factor when choosing a hotel for a family. It would have been nice to know it was closed for maintenance before we booked. I would have appreciated a offer of a rate reduction.
- Rebecca (10/5): Clean hotel, welcoming staff, breakfast included. - We booked this property late at night while traveling because we were too tired to go any further. We booked 3 rooms. The property was clean & well cared for. The staff was friendly, & breakfast was included. We were lucky to find it. There was nothing to complain about. It was an excellent place for our family to stay. If we were staying longer than one night, it would have been nice to have the rooms with full kitchens available
- mark (10/5): - Check in was great and rooms are huge
- Carol (10/5): - Good locationina
- Connie (5/5): Passable -
- Travis (8/5): - Room was clean, well maintained and quiet
- Donn (8/5): - They apparently had some water issues that seemed to limit availability.
- Donn (8/5): - Easy access from turnpike
- R Lee (10/5): - This was a remarkable property. I generally stay in these mid rage hotels when traveling for business. This hotel was reasonablly priced, and the property was well staffed, clean and accessable. IFor cleanliness I give this a 5 star. The rooms were fresh, walls were not dinged up, the bathroom was spotless and the kitchen appliances in the room were very clean. I would reccomend this property and would stay here again.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (10/5): - A very pleasant stay.
- Marvin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trena (6/5): The location is good and a value, but not a lot of comforts - It was clean and friendly staff. Pool being closed
Put Downy with the towels, very rough on skin
- carlarF184MY (10/5): Great room! - The room was so clean and well stocked. It was nice and comfortable. I was very pleased. The man at the front desk, in the morning, was very nice and upbeat. We enjoyed our visit there. The free breakfast was a nice bonus. I recommend this hotel for everyone.
- Susan (8/5): - Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast was very sparse.
- Discover64529126131 (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - I recently stayed at the Days Inn in El Dorado, KS, and had a pleasant experience. The check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My room was clean, quiet, and equipped with all the basics, including a comfortable bed and good-sized bathroom. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, offering a variety of options to start the day.
- Trip25037131153 (10/5): Excellent Stay - I was extremely impressed by this hotel. The people who work here are very kind and hospitable. I was in town for business purposes and ended up having to extend my stay due to bad weather. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Additionally, the staff did everything they could to make sure I had a wonderful stay. I will be back!!
- Z5102FVsteves (10/5): Clean and friendly - We stayed one night during the week. Very clean and well kept. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was normal continental style, no warm egg option but plenty of other things to eat. Easy on and off of the turnpike. Mostly fast food in El Dorado.
- kimbT4866OM (10/5): Great place...highly recommend!! - I stayed at the Days Inn El Dorado from September 23, 2024 through November 9th, 2024., The Hotel is always tidy and very clean, the breakfast is good but the best overall are the owners. The owners are very nice and hospitable and very accommodating to my work hours, I would highly recommend staying at Days Inn El Dorado and I will definitely stay there on my next trip.
- Trail31490145656 (10/5): The Jewel of El Dorado - I came to El Dorado for business and booked a room at Days inn. I was pleasantly surprised this is the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time while traveling. The hotel staff were very courteous, attentive and generous. Ray and Sam are phenomenal , they accommodated my needs even when my needs were beyond the hotel hours. They never wavered in their courteousness or professionalism, my job is very demanding and because of this so am I. Anytime I come to this city for business I will always book here with Ray and Sam, I recommend this hotel highly to any executive traveling for business like myself. There aren't enough stars on this app for their level of service. 10 Stars All the way!!
- Jennifer (10/5): Nice Stay - Clean and comfortable rooms. Front desk staff was very pleasant.
- Joshua (2/5): - Reserved a room. Paid. Got there and they didnt have the room i reserved anymore. Chose to do nothing about it
- Donna (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Klayton (10/5): - A great stop for the night.
- Katherine (10/5): - On a two week road trip and this has been the very best place to stay. Clean, quiet, well supplied, well stocked. The young lady at check in was super nice. Enjoyed our stay!
- Janice M. Kaiser (10/5): - Good
- Mason (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean!! looked brand new. Also quiet location. That I couldn't stay longer!
- Jill (10/5): Comfortable. - Swimming pool was nice. Nothing.
- 941clayk (10/5): A great surprise! - We were on our way home from California to Missouri. We had already been gone for almost three weeks and this was our last overnight. I was skeptical after looking at reviews and seeing the red coverlets on the bed for some reason. Staff were really nice upon check-in. Restaurants close by to grab dinner. The room was clean and the beds so comfortable. They had your usual free breakfast, not additional hot food other than the waffle maker.
- Harold (10/5): Great Place to Stay - The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. It had a full size stove and refrigerator. It was great to keep our cooler items cool and frozen as needed. It is on our list to stay again.
- Jeannie (10/5): Good hotel - Stopped for the night on our trip. The hotel was nice and clean. Beds were harder than I like but was alright.
- Kathryn (6/5): Did what it had to do - Location and easy parking They put us in a room next to a noisy family when they hotel was very quiet/empty
- elliesZ5486ILA (10/5): Welcoming - I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it hasn't failed to impress me each time. The staff is very generous and friendly. Their lobby and breakfast room are super clean unlike some other Days Inns. The sofas in the lobby are nice and comfortable. They have the lobby well decorated, and it always feels welcoming. Needless to say, I will be staying here in the future.
- Deborah (10/5): - Although dated, the property was well maintained and spotless. The children enjoyed the pool and my daughter thought the workout room has all the equipment needed to work off stress. We all were surprised to see a full sized stove and refrigerator in each room! No cooking equipment though. Next time, I will remember that detail. Still wondered why these were needed until we tried to get supper for the evening. Every fast food restaurant in El Dorado was closed with one exception; KFC drive thru. It was opened until 9:00 pm but was only able to provide chicken tenders and crispy chicken thighs. We cleaned them out! That was the only glitch in an otherwise great stay.
- Deborah (10/5): - Property was very clean and neat. Staff was courteous and helpful . Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!
- Johanna (10/5): - I wish they had handycap bath room showers
- David (10/5): Days End El Dorado Kansas - We’re a family of four and we absolutely love this hotel! It’s on our regular stay list when we are traveling for family functions. Always impeccably clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff is always super friendly and gracious. If you’re traveling for work and need to stay several days this place is perfect. Full size stove and fridge, everything and the kitchen sink too. Five Stars!
- Brett (10/5): - Amazing staff, super clean room, everything was perfect.
- Marla (10/5): - Very clean, quiet hotel. The staff were very nice.
- Bryan (6/5): - Quiet, clean. Breakfast was big disappointment. Staff was nice.
- Laura (10/5): - We stopped at this location from 11 pm until 7 am for a quick overnight stay. Our room with two queen beds also contained a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. The room, including the bathroom, was clean, and air conditioning worked well.
- Roxanne (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (6/5): - It was very clean but breakfast and exercise room and pool area needed improvement
- Tanya (10/5): - were disappointed that they had. I tea bag for a coupe of hot tea. I cannot drink coffee.
- Thomas (10/5): - Easy access, easy check-in, large & clean room.
- 26jamesh26 (10/5): Road trip to Colorado - Arrived late because we left Eastern Tennessee but ran into traffic issues in Nashville, then St Louis, and Kansas City.
The room was very nice, beds soft with fluffy pillows. It is good stay about 21 miles before Wichita. Breakfast was good as well.
- Luann (8/5): - Comfortable stay, helpful staff. Would stay here again.
- Storyteller722566 (10/5): Very nice hotel - The owners of this hotel are very considerate and kind. The rooms are fabulous. The bed is comfortable. You have a kitchenette. You can’t go wrong staying here.
- Kim (10/5): We had a great time. Rooms were clean, pool area was clean and fun. - Everything was great !!
- Marlon (5/5): Passable -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (2/5): - I asked the manager for an extra blanket as my wife gets cold with the chemotherapy. I was told no extra blankets. We were visting our grandson and wished to take him to the pool. The same manager argued in front of my family that he would only allowmy daughter and grandson to swim if I were to give him a good review. The pool was empty and we were staying a week! It seems to me that people in the hospitality industry might actually enjoy helping guests! This guy has a disconnect somewhere! My future trips will be next-door at the holiday inn for sure.
- AUDREY (8/5): - There was not much immediately around it, which is good for noise but had to venture out a little further for food.
- Heidi (6/5): - Checked in after 8 due to a long drive and asked for a late check out was told no due to them not having enough staff to clean rooms for the incoming check in’s. Workout room only has a treadmill. The free breakfast was bagels and Coffee. Over all clean but wouldn't stay here again for more than a night
- Robert (6/5): - The room was good parking was OK Service was basically nonexistent breakfast motel fair wasn’t even that four yogurts a waffle machine serial didn’t see anybody at the front desk little or no Service I would stay there again the room was clean but everything else is substandard
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lora (10/5): - Check in was smooth. Gave good explanation of internet access and breakfast options.
- Leah (8/5): - The only reason I didn’t give the hotel a 5 stars was because the beds were rock hard
- Kathleen A (8/5): - Very clean and quiet. Didn't hear doors closing all night so I slept well. Good place to stay.
- Cindy (8/5): - The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were very small
- Amanda (10/5): Great stay each time. - I love having a full fridge/freezer and stove. Large room. Bed and pillows are a little uncomfortable for me but thats variable.
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- 721jacis (4/5): NOT PET friendly as Global Rewards Booking Site says. - On my Visa rewards site for this hotel it has the paw/petfriendly logo. This hotel refused us.
At first I thought a typo but the owner insisted that the paw logo meant service pet only - it does not. I cancel ed in there parking lot.
Hindsight, I only got a partial refund, then it dawned on me, he gets $, even if turns us away and it is crazy hard to get anything done with rewards program companies.
So is it a side scam??? All I know is I had to go to a dump hotel after driving 10 hours, hotel may be nice, but not sure if the owners are? Lots of people traveling thru that way with dogs.
- Klayton (10/5): - We stayed here for the night on a return trip. A very nice hotel, friendly staff, and comfortable beds.
- Debra (9/5): Very pleased - Everything was clean The bed was firm, and comfortable
