Guest Reviews
- Barbara (7/5): - Well it's really difficult to find the entrance.
- Smith (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The beds could use an update!
- Monty (10/5): -
- Daniel (7/5): Was what is expected at most motels but have stayed at many nice motels that serve a nice breakfast - Room was clean and Staff was pleasant. Outside grounds and parking lot needs attention. Rooms had been painted but very unprofessional. Mattress was broken down and needed replaced.
- John (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): Quiet stay with excellent location - It has an excellent location to 70. N/A
- Brenda (10/5): It met all my needs at the time. Good place to stay - It was close to the interstate while being quiet inside N/A
- Daniel (8/5): Acceptable nothing less nothing more. - Inside was clean Outside needs some work. Rooms appear to have been painted recently and who ever did the work was very sloppy and no attention to detail. Paint where paint should not be just a very unprofessional job.
- Shaiann (8/5): -
- Bohdan (10/5): -
- Greg (8/5): Ok - No Breakfast available. The first desk clerk didn't speak American very well ,She must have been training. The manager Came out and straightened things out. All good. Will use red roof again when we come back up.
- Gregory (3/5): Cheap but room stayed cold - No breakfast there Room was way too cold!
60F
- Daniel (5/5): -
- Amir (8/5): -
- Colin (6/5): Serviceable stay, reasonably low-keyed the evening I was there. - Coffee machine spit out tepid tea-colored warm water ... I think it ran out of the coffee concentrate. Always and forever, cleanliness could be better.
- Goodman (5/5): - Location The bed was springs, went all the way down, no padding
- Dustin (8/5): -
- Kegley (1/5): Terrible. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! - The hotel staff gave my room to someone else during my stay. Refused to help me. Over charged me for a different room and locked me out of that room too. When I went to the front desk thinking it was a mistake and asked them to fix my key or maybe get another one they gave me a key that still wouldn’t work. Refused to help me get into my room and told me “Well I don’t know what to tell you, maintenance will be here at 9am the next day” they refused to accommodate me at all and I had to find and pay for another room at another hotel. Absolute nightmare Everything. Even the water was nasty
- Ryan (1/5): Disrespectful people - I was kicked out for having my half smoked cigarette on the table. They claimed I was smoking in the room even though I went outside each time & sat in my car.
- Williams (10/5): -
- Jason (8/5): -
- Yury (6/5): - Location. The room was not cleaned during my stay.
- Lou (10/5): -
- tom (5/5): -
- Pixie (3/5): - The TV and hair dryer did not work. No one picked up the phone when I called thr front desk.
- Robert (7/5): Decent stay and convenient for good price - Close to things Room wasn’t as clean as it should be
- Timothy (5/5): Adequate - Lousy breakfast
- Homer (2/5): Filthy and Seedy - Other than the location nothing was good. There were lots of questionable people there and cops were called at some point for a domestic issue. The bathroom wall was filthy, the sheets were stained, the carpet had dried on crusty spots, the bedframe was filled with hair and dust, and the comforter was disgusting. I've never been so grossed out. My daughter refused to sleep anywhere other than the wood flooring. Staff was curt. Overall awful experience.
- Susan (1/5): -
- Terri (1/5): -
- Bret (1/5): -
- Tabitha (8/5): - Convient location for Winchester speedway just 35 minute drive restaurant close by as well as a Meijer
- Traci (9/5): -
- Ted (9/5): Very affordable, pleasant, comfortable and distraction free! - I've stayed at this facility more than five times over the years and I've come back because of the value, comfort and location. There was food left in the refridgerator freezer that melted. I didn't realize that the switch near the bathroom door turned the freezer and microwave off until the meltdown happened.
- Diane (4/5): Not like other Red Roof Inns - The room was basically comfortable. We were surprised when we drove up to the hotel there was no clear entrance. The photos of the entrance were a bit misleading.
- Rob (4/5): - AC could not read settings as display was not working. Either froze or sweated. 3 crawling bugs in the bathroom . NOT up to Red Roof standards. Old converted motel of some sort. Pictures are deceiving.
- Lexie (4/5): - The pictures do not resemble the hotel whatsoever. It smells awful and is not very clean. Weird stains on the floor, ceiling, walls, random people hanging around outside never coming inside. Would not recommend this place. We will not be back.
- BRENDA (6/5): - Was shocked at the exterior conditions of the building, felt unsafe outside. The interior was better but no soap was provided and the caulking, tub and floor was very dirty in the bathroom
- Charles (10/5): - Air conditioning pet friendly
- Charles (10/5): - Air conditioning, pet friendly and quiet.
- Connie (8/5): - This hotel is clean & tidy. The staff is friendly & helpful. Nice place to stay.
- Aaron (8/5): Ok for a cheap, one night getaway - AC worked, hot water worked, and TV worked. Beds were so-so, not uncomfortable but a little hard. Stayed there before so was as expected. Ok night for a cheap little family getaway. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.
- Robert (2/5): - Very bad smell in the room - but I arrived at 1am and was too exhausted from a long drive the make an issue of the smell.
When I used the shower in the morning - there was no shampoo. The "shower gel" seemed to be a watered-down version of shower gel. Bed was old and needed to be replaced.
- JoAnn (6/5): - Staff. Not enough parking a little run down
- Kimberly Clarke (5/5): - Bed comfortable but room smelled mustie
- Grealdine (6/5): - The room was average. We asked for a queen room and she gave us a double room. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The worst part was trying to find the office. It was no marked well and we couldn’t park close to our room bc a U-Haul with a car hauler was blocking the entire area.
- Elizabeth (4/5): - I did not get my deposit back of $100
- Greve (3/5): Slept good, but not a clean facility. - Location easy to get to. Shopping nearby. Bed was comfortable. The staff member at the front desk seemed like it was in inconvenience when I asked for 2 bigger towels. They had 2 small - floor like sized towels in our room. I told her that wasn't big enough & she huffed off when she walked to the other room. She handed them to me warm, so they had been just cleaned...I assumed. When getting back to the room, noticed that one had blood on it. Just threw it on the floor because I was annoyed. Rooms were not clean- stained walls with I'm not even sure what, broken picture frames, eye lash in the corner of the bathtub. Walls are thin. The room next door had a small dog & it barked off and on all night. As well as 2 other dogs outside we heard too. They should be more strict on quiet times at night & take pride in cleaning their rooms. The fee was not worth the price. Wouldn't stay here again.
- Michael (2/5): - Nasty, bugs, and needs to be updated.
- Naeem (2/5): - Dirty washroom tub with full of black dirt inside. Killed two cockroaches and many more hidden inside baseboards behind fridge
- Rebecca (7/5): - The location. There needs to be a more attention to cleaning. Also needs more lighting in rooms
- Matthew (4/5): Don’t book here for more than one night! - Old hotel and not maintained. Smells like weed everywhere. A/C unit had mold on it and I got very sick from breathing it in all night. Terrible customer service all around. Housekeeping did my room once after 6 nights. Never will stay here again.
- Bobbi (5/5): Noisy - The room was large and clean The walls were thin and it seemed that the screaming child next door was in our room
- Dennis (10/5): - Customer service 👍. Lady front desk is awesome
- Shaun (2/5): Don't go!!!! - From the second I walked in I knew it was the wrong spot to go. I made the mistake of questioning the lady at the front desk about the hundred dollar deposit and said that seemed kinda high, she instantly became a total jerk and was basically telling me to go somewhere else. Then I got in my room I had a funky smell to it, a platform bed with about a 3 inch mattress, and every time I turn on the lights in the bathroom there were bug scurrying about. I was there for about two hours before I just up and left
- Aaron (8/5): Alright for cheap stay - Hotel is very old and run down. Room was updated and comfortable, except the tub/shower had dirty foot prints in it. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Disappointed that a $60 room had a a $100 deposit tacked on. Never had a Red Roof do that before. Beds are a little harder, but thw Motel 6 at the next exit is more economical given thw deposit doesnt just get cancelled, you have to wait 3-5 business days.
- Kevin (5/5): -
- Sarah (2/5): - The room was supposed to be non smoking. It clearly WAS NOT!!! Pillows smelled. Bedding smelled. Woke up with raw throat and dry eyes. My hair smelled and my pajamas. GROSS. I will be asking for a refund. I disturbed the clerk’s smoke break to check in!!
- Charles (7/5): - Large room and bed. Cold AC, Hot shower. Right off the Highway. Parking
- VOHCHA (2/5): - The hotel has a infestation of roaches , and needs the exterminator. Not the manger using a can of raid in the room while the customer is present
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely quiet hotel, and makes for a restful stay. - This Red Roof Inn exceeded all my expectations, and I'll be keeping it on my list as being worth another visit.
The staff were friendly, warm and informative.
The room was clean, quiet, and except for the mattress very comfortable.
- Nicole (2/5): - Was double charged for room and very unsatisfied
- William (10/5): - Nice place
- Roy (2/5): - Roaches, lots of roaches. maid service didn’t clean floors or empty trash daily
- Richard (4/5): - The staff was not very friendly or helpful.
- Joe (4/5): - Roaches, ants, general lack of cleanliness. Hotel desperately needs a full renovation.
- Darcy (2/5): Liars - Ad says they allow up to 4 dogs and then got there and desk person said its only 2 dogs.
- Marlène (3/5): Zéro - On a trouvé des cafards dans la chambre
Le ménage en existant
Linge de toilette sale.
On a donné une bombe d'insecticide pour la chambre.
On est resté car on a payé et fatigué de notre voyage
- Tremayne (10/5): - Friendly hostess and staff, I felt welcomed 🙂 There's $100 deposit after you've already booked the room and paid for the room you still have to give them $100 when you check in they give it back to you the next morning provided you didn't smoke in the room or break anything🤷🏽♂️
- April (3/5): Poor -
- Raymond (2/5): - Very busy traffic in the hallway all night! Odor in the entire motel, dogs running loosely in the hall luckily friendly. Hole in the floor vinyl! Sticky floor dirty shower slime on the wall! Bed was clean! Traffic from long term tennants? Seemed unsafe Leary! I would not return and don’t recommend!
- Barb (4/5): - Poor signage. Required $100 damage deposit. Smelled like smoke.... stay away. I don't I would trust staying at a Red Roof Inn ever again.
- Harold (7/5): Good -
- Rebecca (4/5): - Older motel, room was not very clean & had trash laying around from previous guests. Bed was very uncomfortable & felt like the springs in the mattress was poking thru. The room smelled nasty as well.
- Curt (8/5): - N/A
- Bryan (6/5): - Pillows were crap. No soap or shampoo in any other dispensers. Battery cover was off of the remote and on of the batteries look like an elephant had chewed on it. Remote did not work.
- Jackie (10/5): - Came in late, around .midnight. was able to get checked in quick
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- irene (6/5): OK, but cleaning staff needs supervision. - Staff was pleasant and helpful, but there was disorganization. I was given a room that had not been cleaned, my key did not work nor did my neighbor’s key work in his door. Everything was quickly corrected. The room was comfortable, especially the bed, but the floor was sticky and there were bugs wandering around at night on the floor. All the soap dispensers were empty.
- Annie (3/5): Very sketchy and unclean, it’ll be worth it to spend a little more and go somewhere else. - Really the only thing is place has going for it is that it’s close to highway, even though it’s cheap it’s not worth it. The whole place seemed very sketchy, the outside was very worn down and as soon as you entered the lobby there was a very odd smell. The staff wasn’t impolite but also not very welcoming. The room itself was borderline terrible. First look wasn’t too bad but the more I looked around the dirtier it was. The smell in the room was even worse than the lobby, I thought I’d get used to it eventually and I was wrong. While using the bathroom I saw a rather large bug crawling along the counter, I did not go back into the bathroom for the rest of my stay. Just as I was going to sleep I saw another darker bug crawl up the wall by the desk, upon further inspection there were at least 4-5 bugs crawling around. I barely got any sleep because I was so paranoid about the bugs. I checked out as soon as possible and there was no employee anywhere to be seen so I had to leave my key on the desk and just leave.
- Randy (10/5): This is our preferred hotel when visiting Richmond, Indiana - This is a great location! Right off I-70 and a supermarket with immediate access. Fast food is nearby. Easy access to I-70 as well. The staff is very professional and friendly. This is our third year in a row at this Red Roof Inn! We drive further to get to this hotel. The refrigerator is old and needs the compressor replaced.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - Very nice room. Loved that my kitty could stay for free! Perhaps some pastries to go with the coffee?
- Brandon (1/5): Bad - Checked in and checked right back out. I don’t think this place has ever been cleaned. Front desk staff would not give us extra bedding (ours was full of stains). Everything smells awful here. Turned on the light in the bathroom and watched a bunch of cockroaches scramble. Asked for a refund since we had been there maybe 2 hours, but haven’t seen that in my bank account yet. Whatever already low expectations you have for this place, take it and lower it significantly more.
- Niaz (2/5): - No bathroom linens and the room smells very bad. The reservation was made with Expedia and payment has been completed, but the hotel front desk insists on a double payment since they have not verified the transaction.
- Todd (8/5): Good value motel ! Clean room! - Clean and good value Some noisy tenants from time to time late
- Stephanie (3/5): Poor - Friendly staff Sofa type bed, loud and uncomfortable. Saw 3 roaches during our 2 night stay. Walls were dirty! Floors felt slimy. All in all, terrible stay and would never return.
- Workman (6/5): Overall, it was a short stay that did the job, convenient location and decent value for the price - The location was definitely a plus, just five minutes from the expo center, which was super convenient. And for the price we paid for two nights, we really couldn’t complain too much. We weren’t expecting five-star accommodations, and it pretty much matched those expectations. The walls were very thin, we were just a bit down from the lobby and could hear everything going on there throughout the night. One of the beds had completely worn-out springs, so if you rolled over in your sleep, you basically ended up on the floor (not even joking). We also had a few unexpected guests in the form of spiders and cobwebs that stuck around for both nights, a little bonus we didn’t ask for.
- Haskett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (4/5): - Staff was great. A lot of broken items in the room, very noisy area.
- Joe (5/5): It was okay. - Good location next to shopping. Hard to get to. No hand soap provided. Facilities looked run down. We went to get something to eat in the morning and when we returned at 0900 our room keys no longer worked.
- Derrick (2/5): - Tv didn’t work, hair in the showers, toilet didn’t flush. Hallway smelled like dog poop.
- Brian (4/5): - Run
- timothy (8/5): - The property is much improved since I stayed 2 years ago. will stay again.
- Amy (3/5): Wouldn't recommend. - The location was near the hwy but back off the road a ways. There were plenty of options to eat. Floor was dirty and hair dryer did not work. No breakfast. We came in later because of an event we were attending. The lady looked and smelled like she was smoking weed.
- Michael (2/5): Yuck - Dirty stinky property. No soap or shampoo. No ice bucket. Fire alarm hanging from cei, ing. Worst RRI I’ve ever stayed at. Sorry. Had to be honest.
- David (4/5): - The property was minimally maintained. Our room had a large hole in the window screen. There was no hair dryer. The remains were on the wall. All three soap dispensers were empty. The floor in the bathroom was sticky....!!! The bed cover was spotted and/or stained. The bed mattress was terrible with creeking inner springs?? The bad linnens were clean and acceptable. The whole facility has the look of being nice at one time and VERY tired these days.
- Carolyn (8/5): - Room was clean. Outside sidewalks could use an update, cracks. The host was helpful.
- Daniel (6/5): - Didn't have near as nice an experience as the last time I stayed here.
The lady at the front desk was hard to understand.
Also I asked for a late checkout (12 noon instead of 11) which was granted. However the cleaning personnel showed up knocking at my door at approx 10:50 (5-10 minutes before normal checkout time), even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door, and asked if I was checking out.
I told him I had late checkout and wasn't checking out until noon but he seemed to want to argue with me and kept saying that checkout time was 11, even though it wasn't even 11 yet.
After telling him multiple times that I had cleared it with the front desk, he finally left, only to show back up at my door at 5 minutes before noon to again ask if I was checking out. Very annoying and not a good way to treat a guest at your hotel.
- Spencer (10/5): - Quiet area
- Danisha (10/5): Very cozy - Comfortable N/A
