• rebecca (10/5): Paradise found! - Beautiful accommodation in Byron Bay. Veronica is the perfect host. Stayed here last year & my daughter decided she wanted to go back again. Veronica kindly arranged to have a cake left in my daughter’s room for her birthday & there were baked treats in the kitchen every day for guests to enjoy. Well stocked communal kitchen for all guests to use. We will be back! Nothing!

• Josephine (9/5): Absolutely fantastic and relaxing. - We went with 2 other couples and you have your own apartment and the pool is in the middle of all the units. The location was fantastic. You could walk to both town and the beach. It was so peaceful and quiet as well. Veronica was so lovely and helpful along with her gorgeous staff. I would highly recommend this place. Nothing I didn’t like.

Heaven… - Great location - easy to get to Belongil Beach, easy to walk into town but still quiet! Veronica’s properties are well equipped, comfy and well maintained. We really appreciated extra touches such as the kitchenette which has brekky supplies should you want. Veronica sent us easy instructions for finding her place and for self entry. There is parking on site. Not much to not like!
• Kenneth (8/5): lovely property - The beach shack is a thoughtfully designed set of rooms mostly facing into a shared small courtyard with a pool. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the apartment itself is well designed with lots of lovely details. The property is well within talking distance of the main town. We had the impression from the pictures that it would be easy to walk from beach shack directly to the beach, but in fact we couldn't find a walkway - it seemed there are private properties between beach shack and the beach. I feel that the pricing was high given that constraint, but maybe that was just on the day we happened to arrive

• Kaitlin (8/5): - A great place for the weekend, large room and bathroom and the location was great. Nice and quiet and close to Belongil beach. The only thing we were disappointed by was the pool. It was so dirty and not at all nice to swim in as it had bugs and moss in it.

It was more expensive than other properties. I also didn't like that people would walk along a path at the bottom of my verandah - I felt I had to keep the curtain across the whole time so people couldn't see in the room.

Veronica is the kindest, most generous host. She arranges freshly baked goods every morning and puts out a generous amount of breakfast goods for guests. She also took such good care of my friend while she was sick. The pool is lovely and it’s a brief walk to a gorgeous beach. Thank you for everything for Veronica :) Nothing!

• Daniela (10/5): Best place in our three week Australia trip! - Everything. Run by Veronica who was a perfect host. From good upfront communication, to personal greeting we felt really welcome. Veronica brought freshly baked / homemade banana bread or muffins for breakfast and was always making sure everything was good. The apartment is really nice, spacious and being able to use the kitchen and washing machine provided everything needed for a beach vacation. Much more than we expected.

Close to the beach and walking distance to downtown. The owner and staff were very friendly and the property was well equipped. Nice kitchen with selection of breakfast foods and snacks. Garden view a little underwhelming but didn’t distract from our overall stay.

• Head (5/5): - It was an ok property. For the price, more was expected in all facets. Room was meant to be cleaned daily, it wasn't. General cleanliness was just ok, cutlery and other utensils was hmm. For the price point and self contained, missing many things. Examples regular clean bathroom and beach towels, tongs, spatulas, salt-pepper-oil, etc. Pool cleanliness hmmm & too many to list. Happy to chat further if needed.

We were travelling as a group of 5 couples - we wanted our own space but also space to be able to be together and this is exactly what was provided. Fantastic venue, beautifully appointed with all the extras you didn't realise you needed but were very much appreciated - soft towels, beach towels, bath robes, well-appointed rooms, comfy beds. And breakfast - was beautiful and different every day - so much food it almost lasted all day. Veronica is the most welcoming host and is an delight. Nothing - it was the perfect stay

• Janette (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent, and the staff member on reception and housekeeping was delightful and extremely helpful. The Beach Shack was ideal for my needs. I stayed in two different units during my stay and both were very nice and well appointed. I plan to stay here again. In the first unit I stayed in, the air conditioner was not functioning well and was unable to cool the room adequately on a hot day. In both the units I stayed in, the lock had broken on the screen doors, meaning I needed to sleep with the glass doors closed and locked in order to feel secure. In the room where the air conditioner wasn't functioning this meant a hot night. These issues can be easily fixed.

Veronica was very easy to work with in securing the property as well as checking in and being available for anything we needed. Room was very comfortable…bed was amazing, great updated bathroom, cooled well, very nice to have tea station with milk, sugar, and OJ for the morning. Great location….can easily walk to town or beach within minutes. Highly recommend! Internet can be very slow….but it is like that all over town! Byron Bay isn’t equipped to deal with thousands of visitors on their limited network. Everything else was perfect!
