- Thomas (7/5): -
- Richard (8/5): I will stay there again next year when I go - Very friendly and accommodating
- David (9/5): - Jacuzzi tub Close to gorge
- John (9/5): Great location, clean & neat rooms, and will stay there again - The convenient location to the track and being just close enough to the Watkins Glen downtown without all the congestion and noise. Pleasantly surprised how nice it was Maybe a better setup and selection for the continental breakfast but no way a deal breaker
- LELIA (8/5): Just what we were looking for, and a good value! - Room was clean, nice view, decent HVAC. Beds were really comfortable. Liked the extra sink outside the bathroom, and that there was a shower AND a bath. We arrived late--11:00 pm--but that was no trouble for the staff. The breakfast was minimal, so we ended up going to another place to eat. Maybe it should be clear that "breakfast included" means a few packaged baked goods and banana or apple, plus single brew coffee, and that's it.
- Pete (10/5): -
- David (10/5): We had a very pleasant experience and the proprietress was very friendly and helpful. - The breakfast options were basic but I was fine with it as it’s a motel and one can’t expect an entire spread of food. The location was close to town and the beds were really comfortable. I slept well which is a bonus.
- Mark j (7/5): -
- Micheal (8/5): -
- Rajesh (9/5): Great service, great room and the surrounding waterfalls were bonus. Definitely recommend the place. - The location was amazing with good, healthy breakfast. No issues. All good.
- Ektewan (7/5): -
- Jessica (7/5): Not too bad - Nice people, in a nice area, Very loud, driveway, no directions on hot tub or fireplace bed was too firm, fridge was not cold enough, no elevator, no one was ever at the desk
- MaryAnn (10/5): Comfortable room - Clean
- Brian (9/5): Had a wonderful stay - It was comfortable. At check in they let us switch rooms. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Alex (10/5): -
- Steve (5/5): Clean, quiet. Jacuzzi tub/ shower unit. Needs grab bars for safety. Very slippery. - Very scenic Disinfecting smell was very strong in the room. Very limited ‘continental breakfast’
- Jam (10/5): Wonderful - Every thing Nothing
- Krzysztof (4/5): -
- Marek (8/5): Hotel w pobliżu parku, w cichej okolicy. -
- Rodney (7/5): - I agree with the other comments about location and about the breakfast. The location is made to appear in Watkins Glen in my opinion and the breakfast is made to appear as a real breakfast and it is not. It is just a bottle of juice and a wrapped donut as the others have stated. The breakfast should be worded as a small continental breakfast
- pascal (7/5): Très bon choix pour une nuit autour de Watkins Glenn - Le calme, le rapport qualité prix, Le petit déjeuner, le décoration désuète,
- david (10/5): We felt everything met our expectations and more. - Everything was great! Very friendly staff. Room was large and clean. Bed was comfy. Location was close to downtown Watkins Glen. Would stay here again. No problems whatsoever.
- Torrens (6/5): Clean place with disappointing breakfast - Large clean room with comfortable beds. The included breakfast was a joke. Pre-wrapped danish and some juice bottles does not qualify as a breakfast in my opinion. Also didn’t realize how far out of Watkins Glen that the property was located although there is a waterfall down the street in Montour Falls.
- Brent (7/5): - Centrally located in the Finger Lakes area Breakfast was minimal at best
- David (9/5): Good value for a great location and a quiet comfortable stay - The motel is conveniently located to Watkins Glen. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. The room was comfortable and quiet. Driveway is a little steep getting to the office. The shower head only put out a small stream.
- Randy (8/5): -
- PAMELA (8/5): - Location was good for hiking Watkins Glen. Room was clean but small. Breakfast was fruit and muffins.
- Dale (4/5): - On the plus side, the room seemed to be clean. However, it was about a $75 room that cost $200. Very small, and the tiny bathroom was barely adequate, not even a place to put a shave kit. The AC cycled on & off every 30 seconds. The staff could barely speak english. The "Continental breakfast" was to start at 630, at 645 nothing available. Then it was a muffin & coffee! Will not be back, especially at that price!
- MELODY (10/5): - Clean rooms easy parking in front of your door
- Patricia (9/5): Overall, I highly recommend. - The room was very clean. The location is great, not too close to downtown. And it is near the Montour Falls and Watkins Glen. We have stayed there several times. The view from our room was not great, but is was good. The driveway is very steep.
- Gillian (8/5): -
- Robin (6/5): - Breakfast was muffins, apples and bananas, juice and coffee.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Ellen (9/5): It was nice - Staff was friendly and responsive ;)), had our room cleaned early ;)) Price could have
Been lower
- Robert (10/5): nice clean place - It was a great place to stay while visiting watkins glen. Very clean, very nice.
- Purdy (9/5): -
- Scott (8/5): - Parking was easy . Room was clean but had a musky smell . Everything else was great .
- Dianne (4/5): - Continental breakfast was banana, apple, bagged pastries, juice and coffee.
- OMMER (4/5): - The motel lookes very old.Main village street with 2 places open to grab dinner...
Parking near the room.Coffee, packed pastry , juice and nothing more.
The price was not propotional to what we got.
- Mary (6/5): - Staff was nice. Room was musty and cobwebs in the corners. No place to sit and eat a snack inside. Convenient location.
- Britt (4/5): - Where do I start. Well let’s start with the Expedia advertisement that suggests that this motel allows dogs. Well we arrived to check in and see a sign that says they don’t. Luckily we have family in town and we left out dog with them. Secondly, we noticed tons of spider webs at the corners of each ceiling and wall. Killed a couple of bugs as well. The sink began leaking on the last night and the floors are filthy. I dropped some water only to wipe it up and the paper towel was the darkest of black. Front desk staff appeared to be annoyed with questions and asking for extra towels was like I was asking for a $100 bill. Continental breakfast was a shrink wrapped pastry, banana, and apple. Coffee wasn’t what I call coffee. If you asked me, stay anywhere else if you can do it…maybe a tent along route 14. False advertising…allowing dogs when they don’t and filthy room, not to mention a bad odor was enough for us to write it off for any future stay. Maybe the electric air cleaner in the bathroom should had been a clue for us. Wish I could post pictures as I have em. Having been raised in Montour Falls, along with the other reviews I read I was hoping for the best. Not sure where the great reviews came from but might b done by friends and family of owners or those with low standards…$175/night…..hmm, run!
- Douglas (4/5): - Run down and smelly hotel, breakfast was coffee and a couple danishes, and manager was tight with that meager offering as well
- Sam (9/5): -
- John (10/5): - Great lil place for a a stay near a bunch of hiking spots
- Kathleen (8/5): - Pet-friendly, clean room
- Penny (8/5): Would stay here again - Staff was very friendly, we were able to park right outside our room. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice tv, good wifi. The shower doors kept sliding open during the shower, not all the way, just enough to get the floor wet. We mentioned this, and they said they are still working on the room. It wasn't a big deal. Huge bathroom in this room!
- Nancy (3/5): Everything was okay but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone because of the smell. They need new mattresses or properly c - Location and price The beds smelled bad which made my clothes smell just like it days later.
- Blackburn (10/5): Very convenient and enjoyable! - It was very clean and centrally located in the Finger Lakes region. There was nothing we disliked.
- Kevin (10/5): For the price and amenities, you can't beat this motel while attending a race at Watkins Glen. - The Falls Motel provided an extremely comfortable, clean room and a very convenient location for the Watkins Glen Vintage Gran Prix weekend. The room was recently remodeled, and the bathroom was very clean and modern. It was a great location to walk to Montour Falls and its quaint, historic T downtown, and also enjoy the quiet of the country away from downtown Watkins Glen. For the price and amenities, you can't beat this motel while attending a race at Watkins Glen or a romantic getaway in the finger lakes. The signage for finding the property's steep driveway was a little difficult to find in the dark. The tv/cable box was somewhat tricky to start for the first time, but then it made sense once the start-up buttons on the remote were identified. While the room was very clean, the smell of the "fabuloso" cleaning product was overwhelming for the first day or two of our stay.
- elizabeth (7/5): It was exactly what we needed for this trip. Nothing fancy but a clean room and quiet. - Good clean place to stay. No frills but perfectly acceptable for the price. Nice staff. Personally I don’t like patch units. They are loud. But that is that. Breakfast could be much better.
- Katherine (4/5): The room is overpriced and we will not be back. - The room was large with 2 recliners, a kitchenette, table and chairs, a bathroom
With both a shower and spa tub. The room appeared to be clean but had a soap wrapper on the bathroom floor and a black medium sized plastic item on the rug. It also had a balcony however it was all dirty with chairs that were too dirty to sit in! Also the room was too hot with the air conditioner running full time.
The TV requires the use of 2 remotes to operate it but there are no instructions and the staff doesn’t understand how to fully n operate it either! One remote controls the on/off and volume, the other changes the channel and contains the guide.
We did not take part in the breakfast but didn’t see much of an offering in the office where it was supposed to be located.
It took more than 45 minutes to reach a staff member after repeated calls and messages to both the front desk and phone number for reservations!
The room had no pillows other than 2 pillow shams which matched the comforter - a rough and scratchy fabric.
- Patricia (10/5): - Falls Inn was nothing fancy but very clean and check-in person was very friendly. A little dated but comfortable
- Gintas (6/5): -
- Ben (10/5): - Good stop on our bike trip. Friendly staff
- Dustin (10/5): Was great - Close and easy drive to downtown Watkins glen and to the race track … has plenty of space for my enclosed car trailer very accommodating 0
- Larry (10/5): Vintage GP WE Stay - We spent WE enjoying the SVRA Vintage GP WE @ the track and at the downtown GP Festival. The Falls Motel was located “smack dab” between both of these POIs. The room w/ two Queen size beds was perfect. Free ice & a Continental breakfast was the icing on the cake.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location if you go to state park. Room was clean but tired looking. My room had very strong smell of mold and the smell didn’t go away. TV didn’t work. Breakfast was pretty minimal - packaged pantries, coffee, some fresh fruit, bottled juice.
- Long Phi (8/5): -
- Glen J (10/5): - My room was very clean. Staff was helpful checking. Very close to the State Park.
- Pisolkar (9/5): -
- Dhanavishnuram (10/5): - Good stay in handy budget
- Sandra (6/5): - This place says on line its pet friendly but is NOT
- Sharon (4/5): - Bed Bathroom needs to be updated. Toiletries were bad.
- Manish (8/5): - The property is great placed very well as a fall nearby in a walking distance.
- Billy (4/5): - 1. Room is dusty. Not clean
2. Front desk is not there. Needed an extra blanket, called and even went there in person. No one there. Even when we checked out, no one was there
3. Breakfast Included. That is a joke. They have some bananas, Hostess muffins, coffee, and hotwater (for tea I guess although I dont see any teabags). When my kids took two muffins, the front desk lady (I am assuming she is also the owner) almost had a fit.
- heath (6/5): - Easy access and quiet. Room was not vacuumed, shower needed a bit more cleaning. Beds were clean and comfortable. We could tell the room had been closed up for a while. We took a little time to "air" it out....much better after. Easy check in, accommodating staff.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): - The place was clean. The rooms are very dated. The people were very nice.
- Yue Hong (8/5): Good location - Room is clean No hot breakfast
- Michael (10/5): -
- Malinauske (1/5): I do not recommend staying here. - Good location and nothing more. Avoid This Motel at All Costs — A Nightmare Stay
I rarely write reviews, but this experience demands it. Staying at this motel felt like stepping into a horror movie — minus the plot, just the grime.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear: cleanliness is not a priority here. Dust, stains, and a general sense of neglect greeted me at every corner. The atmosphere? Cold and unwelcoming.
The price? Outrageous, especially considering what you get — or rather, what you don’t. And the so-called “breakfast”? Let’s be honest — there was no real breakfast. Just coffee, a few fruits, sugary juice, and some sweet pastries that were practically inedible. No cereal, no oatmeal, nothing remotely nourishing. If you’re hoping to start your day with a proper meal, you’ll leave hungry and disappointed.
I won’t waste more words. Just look at the photos. They speak louder than any review ever could.
This place isn’t just disappointing — it’s disrespectful to anyone who books a room. It’s not a motel. It’s a warning. Close it down. For everyone’s sake.
- Bambi (8/5): - The staff was very nice. I felt safe here. Watkins glen is not to far.
- Anita (10/5): - Very nice hotel, lovely hostess
- Maria (8/5): - It was old, not updated but clean and for the price, very good!
- Sharon (6/5): - Was ok for a weekend
- Thomas (5/5): Forgot to clean room on day 2 and just shrugged their shoulders, not even sorry - Was available Price does not match service
- Arthur (6/5): Ok - Ok Better light in bathroom
- Charles (8/5): - What we expected for the price.👍
- Kathy (8/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - Everything worked out great.
- David (10/5): - Rooms were clean & nicely appointed: Cable TV, WiFi, Fridge. Linens & towels were clean & fresh. The bed (for me) was comfy. Owners are on-site and were very pleasant. It was nice and quiet, & conveniently located very close to The Glen and Rt. 14. A pleasant stay.
- MATTHEW (1/5): Never again. Made us sick - It wasn't inconvenient MOLD in the rooms. Family member rooms the same. Sore throat in the morning. Shower head like a jet - almost just an open pipe
- Kenneth (10/5): - This is a 4 star rating for a 2 star hotel. The location is GREAT for Watkins Glen area and speedway. They had what I was looking for. Clean room, beds, ice maker and coffee machine. Quiet when we were there, so exactly the 2 star hotel we hoped for. Will stay there again.
- Cynthia (8/5): Visit to Watkins Glen - Nice spot for short stay ! The owners were nice and helpful
Close to all attractions
- Noureddine (8/5): - Staff was courteous. Room clean.
- Janet (10/5): - While this property has almost no additional amenities, the staff was incredibly helpful, the room was clean and in good repair with a very comfortable bed, as well as a mini fridge and microwave. I personally liked that the sink was outside the bathing area. The only thing that was less than excellent was the breakfast. There was coffee, hot water, a choice of two bottled juices, and a choice of commercially packaged muffins and pastries. There was no place to eat except in your room (no table and chairs) or in the single chair outside each room. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a night, although if I planned on a longer stay, I would also plan to supplement the breakfast.
- Mark (9/5): -
- Patricia (3/5): - Not much Our door would not lock. Guy had to give us master key. Not worth $200.00 a night. No view of anything but blacktop.
- Diane (6/5): Mediocre - Location Refrigerator just shoved into the room with a mictawave and coffee pot!
- Lo (10/5): - The motel is better than what I expected. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators that’s good for me to buy some frozen food. Air conditioners is cold enough. TV is working good. The breakfast is not I expected
- Susan (6/5): A little pricey for what you get - breakfast was pretty minimal - some fresh fruit, bottled juice, coffee and packaged pastries.
Bed was comfortable, very good location.
Staff were helpful.
Dinner in Montaur Falls - minimal options but Althea's Finger Lakes Tavern was great - very local, not touristy. Would recommend if you don't want to go into Watkins Glen. The room is just a bit tired looking. Needs some TLC
AC worked but quite loud.
TV didn't work although I wasn't really there to watch television.
very, very strong smell of cleaning materials that finally went away.
- Shangqing (8/5): -
- Mary (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Room was comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay again.
- Vicki (10/5): - Noisy
- Eugène (8/5): Perfect voor een bezoek aan Watkins Glenn park - Ligging, schoon Gehorig, buren kun je horen praten
