• Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location and very helpful host. But the bed was as hard as a rock and the curtains are so thin the entire apartment is as bright as day all night. The kettle leaks and the French press was broken but that was minor compared to not being able to sleep.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and lots of room - We really enjoyed our stay at Barbican. It was great to be so close to the center of Old Town Vilnius and be able to easily buy items close by to have for breakfast or evening snacks. The apartment allowed us to spread our and relax between sightseeing. We were on the third floor (there is an elevator) and the views were beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

The manager was extremely friendly and helpful:phoning us prior to our arrival to offer an airport transfer and meeting us at the apartment to give us useful information on the local area. The location of the apartment was great, with local bars and restaurants just around the corner. The walk down into the centre of the old town was around 12 minutes. We were lucky to have good street food, beer and music availabile for our entire stay. The range and quality of the goods in the market was excellent.

Along with the keys he provided a city map and several tips on local restaurants and attractions. Our top-floor apartment (with elevator) was a bright, spacious 2-bedroom unit (twin beds in one room, a double in the other) with high ceilings and a remarkably well-equipped full-size kitchen. We were two blocks from the main street of Old Town, with restaurants, shops and cafes. At the end of our 4-night stay, Dimitri comped our taxi fare to the airport. Amazing!
• Charles (10/5): - The apartments are in an excellent location, on Old Town streets and near restaurants and stores, but in a quiet-enough neighborhood where locals pass on their way to schools, work, and leisure. The two bedroom was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, sitting spaces, full bath, and kitchen basics. The host was responsive and friendly, and gave helpful advice about the city.

All tourist sights were easy walking distance, and the neighborhood around he apartment has lots of nice restaurants to try. Spacious, light, comfortable. Grocery within easy walking distance as are all the museums and other special places to see.

• Michael (10/5): An excellent apartment at a great price. - This is a spacious and well equipped apartment, one of several in this well maintained building - central to most of the sights you will want to see in Vilnius and within comfortable walking distance of everything else. At the price, you will do struggle to do better - an excellent choice. Vilnius is a gem of a place and the owner/host, Dimitri, is excellent. We stayed 4 nights and felt that we could easily have stayed another day or two.

All amenities you require, and a five minute walk to the town hall square. Dimitri (the owner) was extremely helpful. I shall certainly stay there again, and have even recommended them to my daughter.
• EL (10/5): - We are a group of three just coming to the end of a 45 day holiday, and stay the last 2 night of our East Europe Circuit at the Barbacan Apartments and it was totally AMAZING. The apartments are STUNNING RENEWED and gorgeous - allow me to use this word to describe an indoor space but that's what my first impression entering the apartment - very modern with all range of facilities. The apartments are really well situated and we walked to the center of the old town just by 2 minutes. We had 2 bedroom apartments and there's even a kitchen, and a storing room. Dimitri, who manages the apartments, met us on arrival. We took the wrong bus so we were 2 hours late from expected but he waited for us nonetheless. We really feel sorry at that time but he is really sooooooooooooooo nice and tell us the facikities of the apartments

• Lynn (10/5): Fantastic apartments in a great location. - The Barbacan Apartments are fantastic. A group of us stayed in four 2 bedroom apartments and we had a brilliant time. The apartments are beautifully decorated in a modern style with great facilities. They are large and well furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped - you could live here very easily. We were met by the Manager, Dimitri, who was very helpful and knowledgeable and his recommendations worked out really well for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these apartments and would certainly return. A huge thank you to Dimitri for all his help!

• Laings (10/5): Great location, great host, spacious, huge bed! - Stayed for three nights in Jan. Host got in touch before we flew to ask when we would arrive and offered to arrange a transfer from the airport. Even landed an hour late and he still waited for us to show us our apartment. Gave us some tips for good coffee shops and restaurants! Wifi in apartment fabulous. Location of apartment and view from our place was amazing. My very picky gripes were that the bedroom was so hot at night! But with it being -10 or so outside and with the window open was quite noisy. The pillows were also not to our liking, too lumpy or too flat. The shower glass door was scary, it slid open at such an unnatural angle we were scared it was going to just fall off! But I am being really, really picky here with those few things. Some will love the heat at night when sleeping. For some the pillows will be comfy! I have already re-booked to stay here in September, unless its a 5* hotel, I can't see a better place for better rates!

• carol (10/5): Clean spacious convenient - It is nice and spacious and close to everything. Located in the old town everything is within walking distance. The supermarket is 5 mins walk away; and food is available close by. If you choose to Uber it'll cost around 1-3 euros everywhere within old town. Host is great. He gave some real good suggestions for food and was always helpful. He is responsive to my email when I asked for more supplies in the room.

Free walking tour first morning well worth joining. Bus trip to Trakai a must. Beautiful panorama of Vilnius from the hill of the three crosses. Vilnius and apartment highly recommended.
• Alan (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Stayed for a few nights. Welcomed by a very friendly and helpful member of staff - the apartment was very spacious and tidy. It's situated in the heart of the old town so a very handy location to just go for a walk in any direction.
• Jane (10/5): A must stay! - Amazing apartments. We were 2 couples staying and it was such a large apartment there was no getting under each other's feet. Nice and spacious bedrooms, kitchen and living room. The manager met us and was really welcoming and very informative on the local area. We were right in the centre of everything so everything was in reach. For food and drink shopping I would suggest going to the local Lidl over the supper market in the town as it's only a 10 minute walk away and is far cheaper and has more variety than other places. The apartment provided everything we needed but one suggestion, the hair dryer isn't the best and doesn't have much power, so if you have thick hair or want to style it in any way then take your own. Apart from that it's great!! Vilnius is a beautiful place with lots to see and do!

There was a maintenance problem with the apartment we booked and Dimitri personally made sure that our group's requirements were met rather than simply move us somewhere else. Taking the time to find out our priorities ensured the right choice was made. He took our circumstances into account and made sure everything went smoothly for the entire stay from the moment we arrived. He also arranged airport transfer services for us and gave excellent info on places to go. He is very proud of the city and rightly so. Vilnius has a great vibe, excellent bars and restaurants and many stunning buildings.
• Barry (10/5): Pleasant apartment very near city centre. - Was met at apartment by Dimitri who was exceptional in advising me on places to see, where to eat, what to do and gave me a map and brochures to guide me. He checked how all was during stay and arranged for me to leave bags at reception for my late flight back and willingly printed off my boarding passes and bus tickets- he was very friendly, polite and helpful, amazing service. Apartment is minutes from Town Square and whole city is walkable for all sights. Apartment was very clean, large, airy and had all I needed including a full kitchen and washing machine and an initial supply of coffee. It's a little dated in areas but well maintained and this did not detract from the excellent location and condition and comfort of my little" home from home". You get you may get some noise from the small park/open air space in front of the block where people tend to meet up on eves and talk loudly/play. I like windows open, even at night, for fresh air so it was annoying to have to keep them closed in eves as the double glazing shuts out that noise, a distraction beyond the control of the apartment owners but not annoying enough to spoil the trip. I would recommend the apartment as the price paid was certainly great value and so central for sightseeing. Supermarket, bars and restaurants are all within 5 mins walk. Thanks for a lovely stay..

We were welcomed by Dimitri, couldn't expect better to my family. Everything ready, even for my 3 months old baby! The apartment is beautiful, fully equipped (TV, washing machine, dish washer, microwave,...), modern and perfectly located. I so recommend the stay there!!!

• Nicky (10/5): Great apartment - walking distance to everything - The apartment is airy and bright, and in easy walking distance of the historic centre, university area and pretty much everything you would want to go to as a new visitor to the town. The staff were really friendly, were waiting to check us in when we got there, and spent time with us to suggest restaurants, local food etc. Just really nice people. The apartment was very clean (although there were a few cracks to the plaster in one or two places, you got the feeling that these won't be there long as generally the upkeep is excellent), light and there were lovely views out over the park towards Uzipis. There is everything you might need, including iron, ironing board, washing machine, pots pans and so on, plenty of towels and we felt that if we needed anything the staff would only be too happy to help. There is a TV, but we didn't turn it on as there is too much to do in Vilnius, and too much to eat!! We took up the option of use of the underground car park, which at 10 Euros a day, just made life easier. The only downside, is that people tend to sit on the wall in the park opposite and chat, but they tended to leave at around midnight. As a busy city, living as we did with windows open, we didn't mind but if you want total silence you might need to look elsewhere. I would recommend our apartment, and would stay there again.

• Frank (10/5): Spacious apartment close to everything - Very impressed with our 1 bedroom unit - spacious, clean, good kitchen. They meet you at the door to apt building to give you the key(s) and they were there just when they said they'd be even though it was 9pm when we arrived in Vilnius. Gave us the rundown on how everything operated in the apt including the washing machine, told us where nearest store was to get groceries as well as some recommended nearby restaurants and gave us a city map and circled all the principal sites in the city- all of which are very handy when you first arrive in a new city by bus as we did!

• Tom (10/5): Very spacious and comfortable - We had a wonderful 3-day stay at the Barbacan Apts - I was extremely impressed by the hotel manager Dmitri, who contacted me the day before my arrival to ask when I'd be arriving and whether I needed him to arrange a taxi for me from the airport. I have stayed at 5-star hotels and don't recall receiving this level of personal service. On arrival, Dmitri was again very helpful and accommodating. As for the apartment itself, it is huge (we got "upgraded" to a 2-bedroom apartment so it was much more space than we needed) and I really enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen. I went to the local farmers market, got local ingredients and was able to make a big breakfast every morning (the market is close by and is worth visiting if you like to get fresh meat, vegetables, and dairy products). Finally, the area is very quiet so we got restful sleep every night. The one minor negative is that our apartment is looking a bit tired (e.g., chipped paint in the kitchen area, big nicks and scratches here and there) and could use some "freshening up".
• Samantha (10/5): Great, spacious apartment - Stayed here with my 14 year old daughter for 3 nights. We were greeted by the manager who showed us around the apartment and gave us tips on where to visit and eat. He provided us with a map, stating all the ideal places to go. We were upgraded from a 1 bedroom to a two bedroom apartment and it was just perfect. So spacious, with everything you need from washing machine to dishwasher to DVD player. Had a terrace too which was great as we were fortunate to have very warm days. The apartment is literally a stones throw from all restaurants and shops.

On arrival the manager Dimitri was there to greet us. He was really helpful and pleasant. Our apartment was on 1st floor and was very clean, large and spacious on a corner location close to old town sites. Vilnius is a beautiful city with a really nice relaxed vibe about it. Easy walk up the street to the City Hall square area of Old Town. Apartment building had a lift (elevator) which was great for us since we were pushing around a 4 year old in a stroller.
