• Verified traveler (10/5): - All the staff that I met were very helpful. Especially as I had left my charger for mobile at home they provided me with one. As the kitchen was out of commission in evening they arranged a meal for me. I have stayed in a few hotels over europe and this was one of the better ones.
• Graeme (2/5): Disappointing and disgusting - The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure. Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be recommending it.

• Garry (6/5): Queens hotel Nov 21 - Reception was closed and told to go to the bar. Once he had finished serving a couple of people we got checked in. He was friendly and gave us the information needed. The elevator buttons were missing and you had to put your finger into an open switch which was quite worrying. Our room was clean but badly needing upgraded. Floor and bed was extremely annoying as you couldn’t breathe without something squeaking. There was a droning noise that must be an external extractor or something like that. Breakfast was ok, staff were friendly and you didn’t have to wait long on your food arriving. Overall, friendly staff in a hotel that is in need of an upgrade.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Staff great, hotel absolutely terrible - Hotel is in urgent need of investment, carpets/walls/furniture very dated. Biggest issue is the quality of the beds and showers in room. The beds clearly havent been upgraded for many years and are quite simply that uncomfortable it makes sleeping very difficult. The shower systems must be 20/25 years old? The bathrooms look like they were ladt updated in the 80s. Breakfast is very limited ( no hot breakfast on day 1 with no explanation and day 2 was informed that hot offering was limited). No hairdryers, some fittings and fixtures damaged. Fair play to the staff on site, couldnt fault any one of them but its criminal that hotel even charges for rooms given the state its in. It needs to close temporarily so even some of the basic amenities can be upgraded very very poor this from Best Western

• Richard (2/5): Sub Standard Hotel & Management - Worst Hotel experience I have had Hotel is dirty,(unemptied mop bucket on coridoor by room all the time I was there - full of rubbish - notified manager but still there when I left. Dead Flies all over the place - Building had paint peeling off surfaces, very tired & the Manager was giving assurances he didn't deliver on (Shower was not working - I asked for another room to have a shower in but was told none were available.) Would have to wait for manager to turn up. - 2nd night in new room, sign saying don't use the bath and shower again not working properly. No Apology, no refund,no empathy showed by Manager - reception said he would call me @ 9.00 a.m. - by 12.00 noon I had to call him and he claimed not to know anything about the problem - said he would inspect room himself, evidently did not. Blamed Covid for poor condition of Hotel. I paid £170 room only. No offer of any refund - was told my contract was with Hotels.com I shall not stay at a best Western again and advise my contacts and work colleagues likewise The 3 star rating and membership of the Best western Group needs to be urgently reviewed. In summary a totally unpleasant experience!! Please advise how I go about claiming a refund from Hotels.com

• Lesley (6/5): Weekend at races - We had 4 rooms booked for a weekend at the races. Rooms were very tired and in desperate need of a makeover. Booked breakfast for our stay but only continental on second day as chef had day off and it was the poor housekeeper trying to do everything. Very understaffed but staff that was there were lovely and tried their best. Best part of our stay was the social club just down the street and the chippy just next door to it they were 5 stars ⭐️

• Frances Mary (6/5): - We found the room very warm so needed a fan to cool it down . The towel rail was dangerously hot so we had to have the fuse removed by housekeeping !
• Jonathan (2/5): Worst Western - Covid has taken its toll on this Hotel. The staff were wonderful, courteous and did their best to help where possible. However there were just not enough staff to run a Hotel of this size, and really the Hotel operators should consider if this Hotel is suitable to be open. There is a Full Scottish Breakfast advertised from Wednesday to Sunday, in fact on a Saturday and Sunday this is not the case, and a "Continental" breakfast is offered. There Continental Breakfast is Toast and Cereal?
• Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed with breakfast and the room - The hotel was clean but looking very tired in places and I don’t think there was a floorboard in the room that didn’t creak when you walked about in the room or toilet area. Went for breakfast only to find out that for whatever reason there was only continental being served that day. This consisted of cereal and toast that’s your lot. Not very continental in my opinion.

• David (10/5): A GOOD STAY IN PERTH - A perfectly located hotel only a few minutes walk to Perth town centre. One minute from both train and bus stations. The hotel staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and service in the dining room for breakfast was first class. Perfect for a short stay in the " Gateway to the Highlands" 👍😁
• Martyn (4/5): Old and dates - The hotel wasn’t worth the money, It’s about 10 minute walk to the centre, It is right next to the railway station, The hotel is tired, and very dated, to me ots a £50.00 a night hotel, it’s comfortable enough but for business the room I had which is supposedly the deluxe has no space to work, Nothing wrong with it but I won’t be rushing back

• Hugh (2/5): Nightmare - My room was draughty, I could hear TV in another room all night , and the man who sees you to your breakfast table was unprofessional, as I over heard him calling another guest an idiot. I will guarantee you that I will never be back into this hotel.

The property was immaculately clean, and although it could certainly be doing with a refurb, it was cheerful, peaceful and exactly what we were hoping for, for our few days away from our busy lives. The indoor pool, sauna and steam room were a complete bonus and were fab! Loved this place and would definitely return.

• Fiona (4/5): Stepback in time! - It was like stepping back into the '70's, with an avocado green bathroom suite and faux mahogany units in the bedroom.

• Marie (4/5): Ver tired hotel with lovely staff - The staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is very dated and extremely tired looking. The bedroom (217) was like something out of the 1970s. The ceiling had been patched many times, the furniture was ancient and the bed needs to be replaced as the mattress sagged in the middle and was very uncomfortable. The bathroom floor sagged also and the tiles were ancient. The redeeming features were the pool, steam room and breakfast. The pool and steam room were lovely although the changing room is tired. Breakfast was lovely. For the price we paid, we wouldnt stay here again unless it has had a major update.

• Richard (2/5): Old tired hotel in need of a total re fit. - Very old tired hotel, it needs a complete re-vamp! the room was very hot with no way of controlling the temp, very dated and old fixtures and fittings nothing works well in the rooms. spa is a waste of time & the gym is seriously in need of new equipment! staff are really lovely but that is little help when the hotel itself is dated and not up to scratch id stuggle to give it a 2* rate,

They have now started charging £5 per night for parking ( was always free in the past ) so you need to bear this in mind when booking as most hotels in Perth are free.

Passage of noise through windows was excessive despite all being closed. Hotel parking has changed from free to now chageable for every vehicle you have. Found staff to be pleasant and helpful.
• C (8/5): Good stopover for a couple nights in Perth - Felt the room was too cramped. Cleaner, kitchen, bar staff were all really nice. Reception staff were good apart from one. Leisure fascilities were acceptable although in need of TLC.

• Terence (8/5): Shame about the food - Hotel is set on the edge of town beside the railway station and flanked by social housing, so locally there is not much going for it, but Perth is really very good for shopping or theatre going. The room was excellent although the bed was a little hard for my taste. The whole place is badly let down by the bar and bar food (there really isn't much choice). I had an extremely unpleasant fatty fish & chips on return from an evening event I attended. Staff however are very friendly and accommodating.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonable hotel, in need of a facelift. - Room was clean and beds small but comfortable. Carpet was a bit grubby and glass doors were in need of a clean. The whole place could do with some refurbishment; especially the bathrooms. We had a toilet seat that wouldn’t stay up and a drip in the cistern which continued long after flushing. Overall the place was adequate. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was fine.

• John (8/5): Visiting Perth. - Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. We were on B&B rate. Room was clean, bed comfortable and TV in working order, albeit limited channels. Bathroom could do with upgrading and new shower unit installed. Shower was quite dangerous with poor pressure and temperature varied frequently. Breakfast was very good. Wide range of both continental and cooked dishes. Very tasty indeed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and could not fault the staff. If anything it is a little tired looking and the rooms could do with a makeover. However I would recommend it for a short stay.

The room was adequately equipped but there were hairs on the pillow and duvet cover on arrival which is just unacceptable. I didn’t eat in the hotel or use the facilities. If visiting Perth again in future I will choose a different hotel.

Staff was friendly and there was a large workout area with more equipment than most hotels. Breakfast buffet was great with made to order hot foods.

• David (6/5): Unimpressed. - Tired old hotel in need of some freshening up. Small pool and the wet room sauna stunk, the dry sauna door didnt shut properly so didnt get particularly hot. Could get slightly noisy outside as i was on the side of the bus station. The staff were lovely and helpful but probaly wouldnt stay there again.

• Ross (6/5): Training Course - This hotel is located right across the road from the train station & bus station, so ideal for anyone not driving. The hotel has 4 floors of bedrooms, ranging in double and single occupancy rooms. The food was excellent and great value for money. The bar is small but ideal for the amount of guests in at the time I was there. The room was ideal, comfy bed, en-suite, tv in the room and an iron and trouser press. Bathroom was small but ideal for a one person occupancy. I would use it again as it was at a good price and ideal location to public transport.

Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from a bathroom fan in the room next door that was left on for quite sometime, and from the room above too. Squeaky floors, doors closing - certainly not a quiet hotel. Location was OK though, a few minutes walk to the river and centre of the town.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Dated Hotel but served its purpose - We booked two rooms for a one-night stay. The free parking worked well for us but doesn’t appear to cater for too many cars. The rooms were dated but sufficiently comfortable, if a little hot given the unusually hot weather and no air con. The hotel location means for a fair amount of outside noise at night. The swimming pool was good, again if a little dated. The breakfast service was somewhat haphazard but I think this was down to an experienced individual having to supervise two juniors who were not proactive, clearing tables, checking on diners etc only when asked. Local area a little rough round the edges....
