- Gary (8/5): - I use this hotel every month for my convenience. The location is superb, plenty of free parking, easy walking distance to locsl pubs/restaurants. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are basic, but very clean and tidy. There is also an Indian restaurant on site. No breakfast available but plenty of options in Hythe.

Good value for money. Ample car parking. Decor a bit tired in places. Dangerous Illy cups in bedrooms with round handles that were difficult to hold securely or that burnt your finger. No chain on plug in the bath which was difficult to remove so a hazard in an emergency. Could have been a little more generous with sugar and milk portions.

We tried opening the window but people were sat out on the decked areas talking until the early hours so had to shut it eventually. Restaurant was unavailable during our stay but there are some lovely places to eat in the nearby town centre. The sea view amazing and made up for any minor issues. Room needs aircon

- Nicki (5/5): Good location, lovely staff. - The location of the hotel is great for access to the beach and it was close to the people I was visiting. Staff were always very polite, friendly and genuine. The size of the room I was given was very good, as was the size of the bathroom. The room was clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel. There were no breakfast facilities at the hotel. There was only one very small lift. The heating was not switched on so my room was very cold at night. I asked for the heating to be turned on and instead was provided with a heater for my room, which worked well and kept the room warm from then on. When I arrived the room smelt very strongly of bleach and once the smell of bleach finally dissipated, the room smelt faintly of mould, although there was no mould visible anywhere. The toilet made strange noises during the night? Overall, the hotel really needs an upgrade as in places it was shabby and needed a bit of TLC.

- Jim (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful and with a fantastic sea view. - Spotlessly clean. It’s right on the seafront and facing South, so we were able to watch the sunrise from our small enclosed balcony. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing at all.

- michael (10/5): First class and will be going again in the future . - We booked a standard room , we received a dual aspect corner room with a sea view . The room was spacious with plenty of room around the bed to walk around. A comfy arm chair and dressing table with another chair . It was very clean on arrival and cleaning staff came in daily to keep it that way. We are in the Indian restaurant on site with a window table and the meal and the staff were excellent. We should know a good Indian as we have eaten them for years. Gregg the manager was always cheerful and gave exceptional service. To criticise any thing would be petty as we had a great time.

Floorboards were creaky but fortunately neighbouring and above rooms went to bed at a similar time to myself so it didn’t affect me too much at this stay.

I found everything to be good. The only thing I would say is on vacating, the reception didn't ask how my stay was, not much interaction... but otherwise fine. Also no plug sockets near the bed for charging phones etc.

Comfortable bed and nice towels. Bedroom appeared recently decorated. Asked for a triple room for 3 adults and got a double room with separate single upstairs bedroom, which was a bonus. For pet lovers - this hotel caters for dogs. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. The exterior of hotel looked really untidy - front garden over grown. One lift - which was tiny for 2 people only - very claustrophobic. The corridors were tatty and needed decorating. The furniture in the rooms was quite dated. Windows and drawers could have done with a clean. No hairdryer, but because the shower was a trickle, it was impossible to wash hair anyway, so that didn't matter! No on-site restaurant for breakfast.

- rebecca (1/5): Pitiful overpriced and painful- literally I was in tears due to my pain levels from the awful bed - Nothing, one member of staff(5 dogs) was lovely, but the one when I was leaving was rude,bored, disinterested and couldn't give a jot about my concerns The place was hideously overpriced the lift was tiny and dirty. I was told it was dog friendly with no idications of charges. I have a service dog and showed her certificate and still got charged an extra 20 a night. The beds were ridiculously uncomfortable and cheap the room very basic and the advertised coffee machine was a portable kettle! There was mould in the bathrooms and I am physically disabled so the fact I was on the 4th floor with a family room that consisted of a single bed and a flight of very narrow stairs to access the bedroom and bathroom was laughable, sound proofing was a joke especially as the blocked off door to the next room was a thin piece of plywood. Oh and complimentary toiletries consisted of a wall mounted soap dispenser! When I arrived and saw the police warrant I'd sign on the front desk, no parking, plus extra charges and state of the place I asked if we could have a refund and stay somewhere else and got told a flat no
