- Steven (10/5): - Easy to locate awesome staff and facilities
- Mark P (8/5): Comfy stay, recommended - Handy stay for a short visit. Comfortable sleep. A bit noisy at night.
- Efrain (10/5): - Very great location and the room. N/A
- Karen (6/5): Good value for money - Easy to find location, easy check in and departure, friendly staff Room was quite dated, blind was broken so couldn’t use it and meant no daylight in room
- Rhys (10/5): -
- Paul John (8/5): A bit expensive but overall positive experience. - Good location, nice decor, helpful staff, comfortable bed and very clean. I did think it was quite expensive for a weekday stay with no breakfast included.
- Wendy (8/5): Good value, clean and comfortable place to stay - Clean and comfortable Not within walking distance of the town
- Robin (8/5): It was okay. - N/C N/C
- Janet (3/5): Not good - Nothing 2’6” twin beds placed together with no room to separate. Mattresses lumpy and uncomfortable. Mattress cover too big for mattress and dirty and stained.
- lynne (10/5): - The place was central to where i was going Nothing
- Hans-Gerd (7/5): -
- lynne (10/5): - Clean very friendly staff and central Nothing
- Rumflyer (9/5): As a stopover on the way to and from North Wales it was a perfect solution for us at a fair price. - Friendliness and willingness of staff, room and facilities, cleanliness, Location access was confusing. Bed sheets were bound too tightly.
- Sian (10/5): Quiet, friendly staff, clean & good value for money, would definitely stay again. - Quiet, friendly staff, clean & good value for money. Nothing.

- Debra (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Free parking good position for travelling around south east wales Confusion regarding an extended stay!
- Chris (2/5): Disappointing. I left after 1 night despite having booked for 2 nights. - The room was quiet. Staff at reception were nice. I couldn't use the sink. The plug was wedged shut so I couldn't empty the sink, so had to use the shower to wash hands etc.
Only one bath towel - not difficult for cleaning staff to check 2 people were arriving.
There were crumbs on the dresser like someone had their lunch there and didn't wipe clean.
The room smelled of BO initially, which cleared up when I opened the window but really?
- Stephen (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Peter (9/5): Great but room was too noisy due to traffic - Room was as always clean and tidy, hot shower and comfy bed. I was given a room at the back of the hotel which backed on to a main duel carriageway, I have had this before and found it very noisy due to the traffic.
I asked if my room could be changed but unfortunately if couldn't, so my this time was not as pleasant as many pervious visits.
- Antonio Mas Perez (5/5): - NO LIMPIAN LAS HABITACIONES DIARIAMENTE. DE HECHO ESTUBIMOS 2 DIAS SEGUIDOS SIN LIMPIAR LA HABITACION!!

- Kemp (9/5): Great Value Stay - Brilliant hotel if you're on a budget. Staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble if you need extra bits and bobs. Rooms are small, but have everything you need and have stylish decor. The best bit is the TV as it has built in Chromecast, so you can use the TV apps on your phone to watch all your usual faves. The WiFi is excellent. I didn't try the breakfast here. Hotel is in a quiet, gated corner of a services area which has a small Asda/Greggs/Subway (in the petrol station), a KFC next door and a McDonalds and Harvester also close by, so plenty of options for food. Take a short walk on the public footpath next to the hotel, turn right and you'll find yourself in a small village (Griffithstown), with a pretty walk that runs along a canal, which was a lovely surprise. You can also catch buses from here if you need to. Only one small gripe, which was that the hotel room doors are incredibly noisy, so you do tend to hear people leaving early in the morning or coming in late at night. They slam shut really loudly and even the handles/latches make a great big clunky sound. The rooms themselves are surprisingly quiet though, considering the location near the main road.

- Philip (8/5): - Confortable bed and good shower Carrying suitcases upstairs
- Appleby (9/5): The hotel met our requirements for a one night stopover. - The breakfast was very nice. The location of the hotel made it easy to find, but it was too far outside Pontypool to explore the town by foot.
- Michele (6/5): It's Alright For A Short Stay..The Premier Inn Is Probably Better - The location of the hotel is great, very close to town and there are plenty of fast food joints and restaurants within walking distance. There is an Asda Express and Greggs in the petrol station next to the hotel too, which was really handy. There isn't a lift at the hotel and our room was on the 1st floor. I was staying with my son and we had 2 big suitcases weighing almost 25kgs each, which I had to carry up the stairs upon check in, and down the stairs when checking out. None of the workers offered to help and when I had to carry the bags upstairs, the only 2 staff members there were an elderly man and a woman, hence why I didn't ask. The place was clean but there was a bit of mould on the bathroom ceiling. Also, there isn't a safe in the room, so we had to carry all valuables with us whenever we went out.

- Endhouse (9/5): - Great location, ten minutes by car to Cwmbran and within walking distance to Harvester. Nice room, everything you need - tea making facilities, blackout blind and comfy bed with choice of pillows. No negatives
- Terry (8/5): -
- Julia (9/5): - It was quiet, close to a petrol station so access to basic groceries, free on site parking, clean, comfortable beds, hot shower and small desk. We were able to get extra tea and coffee from reception which was open 24 hours. Room was sprayed with an air freshener which was overpowering, it took a couple of days for the smell to go.

- Harden (7/5): Perfect for work. - The room was a good size, my request for a bath due to my arthritis was accommodated which was very helpful. Everything was clean, there was plenty of shower gel and shampoo and I had a hairdryer that was in good working order. Not really sure it's fair to say the place has a restaurant. Its more of a seating area in the lobby where breakfast can be eaten and i think they serve one or two dishes in the evening.
- Jane (8/5): Best western pontypool - The room and staff

- Geraint (10/5): Best Western Pontypool - An option for a bath, Netflix on the TV Even with the heating on full the room took ages to warm up, then we had to leave it on full not for the room to go cold.
Regarding the teas and coffee in reception, there was no indication whether you had to pay for them or if they were free. A simple sign would have solved this.
- Alison (9/5): -
- Elle (10/5): -

- Wrigley (8/5): Dusty and noisy room - The receptionist was friendly, approachable and helpful. The room was ok, breakfast was good 👍 The room was dusty and seemed not to have been dusted for a while.
The traffic noises were loud to ensure we didn't have a good night's sleep due to very poor double glazing ( room 207) we have stayed in this this hotel numerous times without complaint til now
- Alise (10/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): - All good. Disabled parking, used by non badge holders and EV points between 2 disabled bays so non badge holders EV drivers block disabled bays.
Pavements around the site (site owners problem) do not have any drop curbs to be able to reach other amenities on site.
- Karen (7/5): I'd stay again - The welcome was great. Clean tidy rooms. Shower room spotless. Hardly any tea and coffee in the rooms. A bit noisy as we were facing the main road.

- Brian (9/5): Comfortable & Nice - The property ideally situated. Safety oriented friendly staff room big & spacious very clean. The bathroom was a little tired but not dirty at all. Wear & Tare. Plenty of car spaces. Barrier for safety. Nothing.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Linda (9/5): Absolute value for money. - We’ve stayed here several times and the staff are very friendly. The rooms and the beds are comfortable. Very quiet. Amazing value for money.
- THOMAS (8/5): - Cleanliness and staff Room not cleaned on second night
- Tomasz (9/5): - Czystość Hałas od błównej drogi
- Adrian (10/5): Was perfect stop over - Clean and good value, good coffee and friendly staff. Little bit of traffic noise
- Jonathan (8/5): Good value, good road link to the bridge, quiet even being next to road - Convenient location Would prefer shower door not a curtain as he water still comes out onto the floor bathroom floor, the floor towel provided and left in the shower to use was soaked through after only a quick shower
- Linda (5/5): Dissapointed from the last stay we had there - Very near to where we were visiting The cut down on t bags from 4 to 2 no biscuits and need to provide shower caps
- Tomasz (7/5): - Czystość Brak możliwości anulowania rezerwacji
- simon (4/5): - Location was great The first room we were given had not be cleaned as there was still chicken bones in the bin, the staff were great and moved us, the bathroom in the next room was grubby had dirt and grime around toilet, taps and shampoo dispensers. Spoke to the staff on duty and am waiting a response from the hotel manager
- Gary (9/5): Excellent location and value for money - Excellent location and value for money, free parking.
- josE7771CM (2/5): Terrible Experience - On Arrival seemed very nice the Receptionist was friendly young girl
Got to my room and was Shocked!
The Bathroom sink was Filthy, The Toilet had been Used and NOT FLUSHED!
The bin was full.
The Bed well was disgusting.
I went to tell the Receptionist she apologised and said "It's Contract Cleaners"
Moved opposite to new room, The bedding hadn't been Changed
Back to Receptionist moved again 3rd time lucky I thought....NO
The Bed had Hair! Bodily Hair,Public Hair
Straight to Receptionist who again Apologised and got Clean Bedding
She made the Bed up in a fashion and the state of the mattress protecter was soiled, absolutely Disgusting!
I booked this hotel by good reviews but Will Never Return
The Receptionist who was on the next day gave No Apology very Unfriendly and I'm Just Shocked and Disgusted quite Frankly 😡
