- Anne (9/5): Really lovely stay in a very well presented and comfortable room. Lovely hosts and a great breakfast. - Lovely hosts, who offered us a welcome cup of tea and cake on arrival. The room was well equipped and really clean and comfortable with a lovely view and the breakfast was great. Recommend the pancakes! Could have done with a little more space in the room.
- Irene (9/5): - The hosts were very welcoming. The property was spotlessly clean. We were welcomed with coffee and cake. Lovely view from the room. I would have liked a dressing table or drop down top to be able to sit to do my hair.
You can hear the traffic which at times is very noisy.
- Ross (10/5): - Really good place to stay
And very nice people that run it.
- Tim (10/5): -

- Elizabeth (10/5): We had a really lovely time and I’ve made a recommendation to my friend! - Super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. As soon as we arrived we felt incredibly welcome and we offered a drink which was a lovely touch. The facilities were exactly as they are described and I love the fact that they accommodate people with both visible and invisible disabilities!

- Jeremy (9/5): - Good location, friendly hosts, nice garden view, secure parking (gated entrance). Everywhere was very clean and nicely presented. Breakfast was excellent. Glad we found this lovely accommodation……. we will return. En-suite shower room was a little on the small side but more than adequate. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in shower.
- Andrew (8/5): - We loved the garden and the wildlife outside our room and the extra little touches in the room of teapots and a jug of milk. Breakfast was excellent.
- Simon Kindall (10/5): Wonderful stay - So happy to find Decoy Barn B&B, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed with tea and coffee with cake, there is plenty of safe parking and the room is very nice with a comfy large bed, cupboard, very nice shower, there is a recess with all our drink needs a kettle tea, coffee fresh milk in a mini fridge. All is clean and tidy with views over the lovely garden and field.
Breakfast is delicious and sets you up for the day (breakfast is an extra cost but well worth it)
Both John and Suzanne are lovely John helped with local information. We certainly will want to stay here again when we are in the area.
- Jo (9/5): Highly recommended - John and Suzanne were amazingly friendly hosts, nothing was a problem and they were so welcoming. Decoy Barn is absolutely lovely, beautiful views and garden. The room was so comfortable and clean, like your own little chalet to come and go as you please. The room itself had patio doors that led to the well kept and stunning garden boasting a fountain. We were lucky to have good weather in October but I imagine this place is more breathtaking in Summer where you can enjoy the facilities they offer more. The welcoming pack offered information of where to go, where to eat and local hints and tips. Breakfast was made to order, fresh and really good value. A good clean breakfast. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I would say negative is a personal preference and my own poor planning of not knowing the area and definitely not negatively reflected upon Decoy Barn and it's lovely hosts, is that Fritton itself doesn't offer much but is a lovely stop gap to travel around. I would've preferred a couple more options to walk to places of an evening but that being said the closest pub is a 15min walk away, which overall is not bad. We went with the intention of travelling around anyway so didn't really put us up nor down. It is a nice little village.

- Kate (10/5): Wonderful in every way - What a wonderful place!! John and Suzanne are lovely people who made us very welcome. The setting overlooking Somerleyton estate is so pretty and John does a great job of keeping their gardens looking fab. Breakfast is to die for!! Plenty of choice and is served nice and hot. We stayed in room number 3. It was very comfortable and nice and clean with everything we needed including a very cute fridge. Each room has its own garden table and chairs to enjoy sitting outside. That we had to leave 😊

- Angela (8/5): Very pleasant and comfy - Kind attentive hosts, very clean room, coffee and cake on arrival. Lovely gardens and good breakfast. The room was a little cold but the weather was terrible with storm Amy making it very windy and cold. An extra sausage at breakfast would have been nice.

Breakfast was 5*
- John (10/5): Always enjoy my stay at Decoy Barn - I've stayed at Decoy Barn a couple of times now and always enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean and very quiet - both times I've stayed I've slept well, which I hardly ever do when I am away from home. John and Suzanne are great hosts and I always feel very welcome when I stay at Decoy Barn. The off-street parking is really good too - plenty of spaces and very secure.
- Donald (10/5): Very welcoming hosts perfect accommodation and breakfast - The breakfast was excellent, individual bowls of fresh fruit, real pressed fruit juice (not rehydrated powder) beautifully cooked sausage, bacon, mushroom, fresh tomatoes, and a choice of fried, scrambled or poached egg. Also on offer kippers, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.

- Joanna (9/5): Look forward to a return visit and have already recommended to friends - Hosts were very welcoming, happy to answer any questions about the area etc. Very guest focused, lots of nice little touches such as mini fridge, lots of information about the local area. Made us a welcoming cuppa. The only thing we found was the bed wasn't as firm as we are used to but that is more about personal choice than a criticism
- Bryan (10/5): Beautiful - The place was 5* lovely couple running it, tasty cooked breakfast if required. Beautiful surroundings internet if required

There are many interesting places to visit in the area! I can’t wait to go back! Their little dog Buddy is very friendly and loves to chase his ball. The property is nicely maintained and it was a memorable experience staying there. The countryside around the area is lovely. It would be a great place to live and accessible from the train line, which isn’t too far away. I got a local taxi fron Great Yarmouth to get there and John was always ready to offer a ride here or there if I needed to go somewhere close by. Thanks for everything!!!

- Tim (9/5): A perfect place to stay - Really warm welcome from John and Suzanne who are such lovely hosts. The room is not huge but has everything you'd need with a very comfy bed and excellent en-suite. The whole place has been thoughtfully fitted out to a high standard. There's lots of choice for an excellent breakfast - just book what you want and when the night before. And you may get to meet the very friendly dog! Although Decoy Barn is on the main road traffic noise is barely noticeable as the rooms are well shielded from the road. Nothing else to mention really.

Greeted with a pot of tea and a cupcake each when we got there,John and Suzanne were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive
Breakfast was £8.50 per person extra ,pre-ordered the night before but freshly cooked in the morning at a time of our choice . Excellent value and well recommended
There was a good selection of fruits, yogurts, cereals etc for the continental which was followed by the cooked. We opted for the full English, with quality ingredients all round , amongst other options were locally smoked kippers which we will try next time
Needless to say,tea coffee and toast were in endless supply and as check out time allowed us to not have to rush ,we sat out in the garden after breakfast and played ball with the dog!
Will definitely be back!
