• Rose (4/5): - The local was nice ,room was good, and clean I arrived at the yankee inn, I had paid for my room in advance thru booking.com, I use frequently, there was a glitch in the system, was caused my card to be declined I showed the front Carolyn who has my praise she has been a doll,..Anyway she said I was all set and she would look into... Well image my surprise when at 8pm on Friday I received an email of fraudulent charges on my card coming from Yankee Candle inn, I immediately went to the front desk and ask your agent Mike Preethram, what was going on, he tried to justify swiping my debit 5 times, which in return cancel my card I had 12.00 cash with no access to my bank til Monday due to his action my easter weekend with my grandson was ruined, And heartbreaking to tell him we cant do the things we planned...I understand glitches, but to swipe my card when I showed you proof that my room was paid for confirmation number, yet your agent kept repeating swiping my card... Now I have to go to my bank on Monday and get a new card, 🙄 just want to make it clearly that Carolyn was feeling so bad for us, she was great..I am very upset and angry that this happened 😢

• MARK (1/5): Stay away from this place, change your room and take your hard earned money - I have come to this hotel several times over the past 10 years, I made reservations for the Yankee Clipper Inn several weeks in advance to surprise my girlfriend, I booked a king suite with fireplace and spa. When we arrived the person told me that that room was unavailable because of renovation. They downgraded me to a room that had no hot water, floors were dirty, and it had a funky smell like stale cigarettes. I’m not one to complain but when I asked about refunding me some money to what the room rate was at the time of booking, they told me to stop being cheap and that I got a great rate for the room. I wasn’t wanting the room for free, just wanted to pay the price for the room that I had been switched to. No different than going to a restaurant ordering prime rib, bring you out a hamburger but still expect you to pay for the prime rib. I will never come here again and will most likely file a complaint with the hotel owner/chain about the hotel. Stay away from this place!!!!!! Also, I feel that if you work in the service industry and have to communicate with the public you should know how to communicate in that language. We had a hard time understanding what they were saying. No hot water, staff are rude

• Jane (6/5): - Upon entering the room it was clear that someone had laid on one of the beds as both the comforter and pillow were crumpled, and the bedskirt was untucked and askew. Disturbing. We left for the evening and when we came back the entire room reeked of cigarette smoke. We are assuming it came from an adjoining room, but the smell kept us awake it was so strong. The “breakfast” that was included was a small gift bag with a frozen sandwich and some sort of side in it. We decided to pass on that. For $468.00 for ONE NIGHT, even during a holiday weekend, I expect much more! Needless to say I will not be returning.

They tried to keep up but bathroom especially is a homeowner special and not professionally done. Missing board under sink, glue on tile floor, the tub is jetted (gross) but access panel was taped closed. Area is great so explored, lots of restaurants, only slept here. Wouldn’t return here.

At the risk of being called one of those people, I am sharing the following with you: - It was unfortunate that there were no lamps on the bedside stands, so we had to get up to turn the lights on/off. - There was no clock in the room. - The walls are so thin that we could hear everything from both of the rooms on either side of us. - The refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug it. Because there was so much frost in the freezer we had to pack towels in the bottom to soak up the water. - The timer on the fireplace was so noisy we couldn't use it at bedtime. - There were people smoking on the 2nd floor porch beside our room, and an ash tray with cigarette butts sitting outside on top of the heating unit outside. - Our bed was only partially made. The fitted sheet was barely on the bed, and started coming off when we got in. The flat sheet was not pulled down to the end of the bed, let alone tucked in. - The bathroom floor was very sticky. No idea why. - There was also no instruction regarding check-out or what to do if there was a problem (such as late-night noisy neighbors), and no interaction at check-out (such as asking how the stay was, as we may have told them how poor it was, or offering the breakfast that was supposed to be available to us). - Last, but not least, the coffee was terrible :( Not what we were expecting at all :(

In addition, the free breakfast consisted of the receptionist grabbing either a breakfast sandwich for muffin and juice for you. This was totally inadequate and I consider this to be false advertising. We spent another $40 for breakfast. We saw other travelers running across the 4 lane road to get their breakfast at McDonalds. This is dangerous and unacceptable. We were very disappointed with both the terrible lighting at night and the basically nonexistent "Free Breakfast". We will not stay here again.

The bathroom sink fixture was extremely loose, hole in the bathroom wall and very shoddy carpentry. No bedside lamps or lighting to read by. King bed was old and after staying for two nights not comfortable, outside of our building had construction debris hanging around, obviously remted out some rooms for.longer stays and they had bottles outside. I would not stay here again. The staff was very nice.

I went down and asked the front desk and she said”we don’t have breakfast, but I can throw something in the microwave for you”, I obviously declined and was super disappointed because it states that it’s a full breakfast. Also, there were several guests smoking cigarettes outside the door and inside their room, that is all you smelled the entire time. The pool is a joke too. I recommend staying elsewhere.

• Jennifer (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - We booked this place because my partner remembered coming as a child. Then I saw the mixed reviews. I was nervous. Absolutely worth it. Rooms have recently been remodeled. Shower clean (no tub). Check in clerk was awesome. We were arriving later than expected & she was very accommodating. She even researched & found an old rewards account I didn't know I had. Beds were comfortable & clean. No carpeting in the rooms which I love. Breakfast was frozen breakfast sandwich, fruit bar, apple & juice. Better than nothing. Coffee & tea 24 hrs. Soda/water vending machine. Pool on smaller side but does the trick. Hot tub was nice & hot. Open 9-8. We had a private balcony but couldn't use it because "Charlotte" had a big ol web blocking the doorway on the outside Only suggestion is snack Vending machine for middle of night munchies. I ended up walking to gas station at midnight. It was a nice, quiet & relaxing walk

Breakfast is included but nothing great, microwavable breakfast sandwiches, juice and a piece of fruit. The property needs work on the outside but inside the room was nice for a short stay. Room was very clean and seemed to have been recently redone. Bathroom was nice, clean and bright. Bed was comfortable. Would have like a more comfortable chair in the room.

• Silvana (10/5): - Esse hotel é incrível! Tudo perto, várias opções de restaurantes, um McDonalds em frente, fica ao lado de uma HomeGoods. Você pode ir a pé a vários lugares. Staff são educados e atenciosos. A piscina estava morna e a jacuzzi maravilhosa!
• Charlotte (8/5): - Tried to use the hot tub Monday was told that it needed to be checked and cleaned- after 9am- Tuesday was told not open til after 11am which is check out time - little disappointed

• M6287YWtimothyl (2/5): Worst place I ever stayed - Horrible booked for 3 days after the first night i checked out expecting a refund. I didn't make a big deal just checked out expecting a refund for the other two days. I only got one refunded, so I went back to find out and tell them the problem. The people next room over must have been living there they were in and out all night long. car beeping unlock and locking definitely shady stuff. The room had hair all over the soap dispenser there were stains on the carpet like dogs were living in the room (dog feces stains) so I packed up once I get into the hallway the smell was horrible like strong rotten fish. I get to the end of the hall and next to the rear entrance door trash all over. I called mutable times getting nowhere finally got a hold of the manager she said no refund without getting a 24hour notice mind you nothing on the web site states that and figuring with the issues it wouldn't been a problem. So, first off don't stay there second if you do make sure you complain right away. As being someone that doesn't complain that's what happens! FYI this is my first time ever wrighting a bad review.
• Christina (4/5): - Slotting a two hour window for check in is inconvenient to those who stay for work reasons. Check in is at 4pm office closes at 6 pm I work from 3 pm to after midnight
• Samuel (8/5): - Perfect place for a quick stay . Close to everything !
• Carmella (6/5): - The trash in the hallway was not emptied - no telephones in room - no hairdryer in room - the outlet that was out in on night stand was t plugged in need those outlets for phones and sleep apena machines
• Alexander (6/5): - Tv didn’t work properly; unable to remove the transparent overlay provided by the tv’s setup box. . Heating hardware seemed insufficient to warm to 68°
• Kellie (4/5): - Pool and hot tub advertised not heated. Room pool in freezing Garbage in halls overflowing. Snow and ice on walkways. Soap dispensers in shower empty. Fireplace unplugged
• Stephen (10/5): Clean and perfect location - This place was great. It did not have a continental breakfast but did offer coffee at any time. That's perfect for us since we leave earlier than any breakfast would be available at a hotel.
