- Roberto (9/5): Al Relais La Torre l'atmosfera è magica e rilassante.
These scammers and thieves mistakenly charged 1,000 euros to my card. When I contacted Booking.com and the hotel owner, he refused to refund the money and isn't responding to Booking.com's emails. They're a scammer and a thief. We'll be filing further complaints against this hotel. I don't recommend anyone do business with them.

A chave do quarto nao fucionava.
- Alfred (10/5): - What a wonderful property, you are really allowed to experience the Toscana sophisticated experience!
Memorable architecture and grounds. Do not miss visiting the on-ground chapel!

- Øyvind (7/5): Good -
Colazione a richiesta varia e fatta in casa. Non c'è il ristorante. Parcheggio gratis all'aperto. Cani accettati gratuitamente.
(Vins, huile d’olive).
- Bojan (8/5): Very good - Location is great. Tipical Toscana
- Hannaliis (10/5): Really nice Toscanian Villa with beautiful aroundings and nice staff and owner. - The hotel was a old Toscanian Villa, in a beautiful location - olive trees and wineyard all around. The hotel had their own wine and olive oil. The structure in general was so beautiful. Rooms were audentical, but renovated in a very nice way. Our room was so big (3 rooms). The products in the bathroom were also very good - local production. Breakfast was good with local products. Staff (Cristina) and the owner were really nice, also the dog Bo :)
- Giorgio (10/5): - Tutto positivo
- Ashif (10/5): Exceptional - I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming old rustic resort and vineyard in Tuscany, and it was a truly enchanting experience. The resort’s ancient stone architecture and lush surroundings perfectly encapsulated the essence of Tuscan countryside living. The rooms were quaint and full of character, with traditional furnishings. The on-site staff is warm and accommodating, adding a personal touch to our stay. Isa and Tulio were very welcoming and treated us as their own friends 🧡.
While the rustic nature of the resort was delightful, it also meant some modern amenities were limited. However, this was a minor trade-off for the authentic, tranquil atmosphere and the opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The resort’s owners offered delicious local cuisine, and exploring the nearby vineyards was a highlight. Overall, it was a memorable escape and a beautiful way to experience the region’s rich heritage.
- Claudio (1/5): SHOCKING!!! LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. RUDE UNTRUSTWORTHY OWNER - Nothing. EVERYTHING. Experience was absolutely SHOCKING. We arrived expecting a 4* luxury hotel / villa stay but it was anything but. The photos look nothing like in real life and I would advise anyone reading this review to look at my photos I had taken in August 2024.
After arrival, we decided not to stay here as the money we paid and the photos as per Booking.com looked nothing like real life. We discussed with the hotel manager over the phone and he said he would refund us ONE nights stay which we were not happy with but was merely acceptable. After contacting Booking.com to get one nights stay back, the hotel owner REFUSED to offer any form of refund! When we returned the next day to discuss with the owner, our room was OCCUPIED as the door was open with a key in it! Even though the manager said he didn't have time to fill the room which was clearly another lie. The place is a mess, extremely untidy, run down and our room wasn't ready on arrival (and subsequently occupied the next day which was still during our stay). The main reception was a mess, courtyard extremely untidy, outdoor tables haven't seen a clean in months, broken plant pots throughout, bicycles scattered around, zero planting, dead leaves occupied most of the ground... you name it. All the colours of plants etc in the listing does not exist.
The manager was extremely rude and very untrustworthy. The owner has supposedly been in the industry for 20 years which amazes me. It looks great in the photos which I assume was taken a long time ago. The hotel restaurant is also shut alongside other amenities (I wonder why!!). Looks like they are winding down. Absolutely shocking service which in the leisure industry should be the primary focus. Having travelled the world I have never experienced such a service and condition for 4* stays. I've visited hostels in the 'third world' in better condition than this. 0/10 would be a fair rating, and that's being generous.
- Alexandru (8/5): Very good -
- Yael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (10/5): A magical few days in a special place - Welcoming owners
Gorgeous pool with views
Beautiful courtyard for breakfasts and wine tasting
Quality food and wine produced here
Totally secluded- yet close to village and Arezzo
Our little house in the woods where we slept well Nothing
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Setting, structure, garden and pool are stunning. Throughly enjoyed the pool and walking around the property. It's a very beautiful but a very old stone structure. Room isn't going to be as comfortable in hot summer with the heat gain of rock surfaces, breakfast has to be ordered and is slower because they can't leave food out in a open courtyard. Showerbox is very small. But probably worth the price of the beauty of grounds, views and fantastic pool.
- Anton (7/5): Good - The site is large and fundamental, but lacks charm that marks many Italian borgos. Owners and personnel are caring and attentive, showed us the historical part. The room was large, parking ok. The pool is good. They also sell excellent gastronomic olive oil. The feeling of a potential not fully realised. The site and house need much more investment, finishing, design and care. "Restaurant" part was promissed but not realised: due to some issues they did not manage to arrange dinner. Nearest place to eat is 15 minutes drive. We had a big issue with air cooling in 30° night heat: the converter cooler was there but small for the room and if we started it full speed was too noisy to sleep, so we had to open the windows... to be woken up by barking dogs and birds at 3-4 a.m. Another isse was a matelass which was way too soft for the large bed. The pool is a nice make, but lack of sunbeds and umbrellas makes an inconvenience. Also more attention to the showers that are located in a cellar together with restrooms would be logical. Compared to other our many stays in italian borgos the site is not the most attractive, some kind of a wild forest.
- Agija (8/5): Overall, I liked it there. Recommend! I would drive more, but I have to expect some shortcomings. - I really liked the general atmosphere, silence, closeness to nature and its beauty. Excellent pool and a good place to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Exactly as I intended. Very uncomfortable beds, soft pillow. I had a hard time sleeping. Uniformity of breakfast. Not suitable for people with gluten and milk intolerance. To eat, you must go somewhere. There was also dinner on site for 3 nights - the same thing. Very salty and fatty food.
- Roberto (10/5): Wonderful - Beautiful antique hotel with great outdoors, great service
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Rustic medieval charm, friendly and helpful staff/ owners, the place was full of personality, quiet location,. We loved it!
- Marie (10/5): SUPER - Everything Tulio is so gracious and welcoming. It’s like going home. This was our third time and we would go back again
- Iva (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bronwyn (8/5): Rustic, very clean, lovely and friendly and helpful - I was just there for 1 night. I honestly just needed a 1 night stay whilst travelling. It is a rustic working farm with accommodation. The room was very big with a tv area. I arrived on a Sunday and understandably they were closed for meals which I knew in advance … but they took me to there wine cellar where I chose wine for the night… their wine is really great. The owner was lovely and helpful. When I checked out I dropped my credit card randomly on the way to my car… they called me and arranged to get it back to me. Oh there was breakfast the next day and it was lovely. Thank you for a great stay for a solo traveller Squeaky bed 🤣
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthea (10/5): - Gorgeous property, lovely Tuscan experience and wonderful people. They did an exceptional job restoring such an old property. Quiet, peaceful and lovely experience.
- Melanie (6/5): A lovely place but disappointing for the price. - The location is spectacular and the swimming pool is really beautiful. Good quality food. The room has charm but needs updating. The sides in the restaurant are very expensive making dinner rather costly. No bar for a pre dinner drink.
- Jess (9/5): Superb -
- Attie (9/5): Magnificent well worth it countryside stay - Everything Loved it all
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb - The staff were helpful. The restaurant was good. Service great. The pets that roamed the property made the place feel like home. Location was a bit remote, but having a car made that a non issue..
- Katarzyna (10/5): Beautiful place surrounded by true tuscan nature, the owner makes the whole place feel like home - Everything was truly delicious, everything natural and fresh, a possibility for guests to have a taste of a true and traditional tuscan products. Everything was perfect!
- Sorin (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (10/5): A wonderful base to explore Tuscany and Umbria. - An ancient site, full of history, but with every effort made to adapt the rooms to modern standards. Great WiFi, for example. The natural stone pool is just amazing - fantastic views and good facilities for showering. The hosts are lovely people - helpful, informative, and very accommodating. The food is splendid and they have a very good wine cellar. Much of the produce - olive oil, eggs, bread, etc - is from their estate. We will be back! Difficult to find fault. The aircon is a little old school, but it does the job.
- Pim (10/5): Exceptional - The property is amazing. The history behind the old castle is impressive and how they have turned all into nice apartments, has made it into heaven on earth. The great swimming pool complements the rest of the property. At the end of the stay, we were shown the wine cellar…and in one word: impressive! Isabella & team: grazie mille! Nothing
- Aurorac (9/5): A lovely weekend spent in relax - The pool area was just amazing. I would definitely say it was the best part of the whole resort. Surrounded by greenery and calm, definitely a pearl. Amazing place to relax with your family and enjoy the Italian food and wine. The bed, old and wobbly. Definitely to change. The only flaw found in the stay at the resort.
- Alissa (9/5): Superb - Everyone here was so wonderful. I happened to be the only one staying there the night I stayed. Yet the chef stayed and made me an amazing meal. Breakfast was also really wonderful. I didn't get to spend that much time here, but I did take a morning stroll and the property is beautiful.
- Jesse (10/5): We will be thinking about this glorious stay for many years to come. - We loved everything about our stay. Our room was fantastic, every meal that we had there was delicious and made with everything grown on the property. The location was incredibly tranquil and the hospitality from Tulio and his colleagues was outstanding. We hope to stay there again one day. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Simeon (7/5): Good -
- Travel (4/5): Not really met expectations and didn't settle in - Not quite as envisaged - converted pig stye, I kid you not!
Bathroom antiquated much like the electrical system in the other rooms.
No room for clothes to be hung.
Bad internet
No bar to go for a drink
Not really met expectations and didn't settle in properly.
- Carlo (9/5): Superb -

- Anonymous (10/5): It’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy your staying with excellent food and wine😊 - Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Exceptional wine tasting ☺️
We will be back to stay longer and enjoy the restaurant!
- Lorbetto (9/5): Do you like castles? - The facility was just amazing. Lost in the woods, you end up in this ancient stone castle. The rooms are large and comfortable with private bathroom and heating in each room. The garden is gorgeous and there's also a pool which is open in the summer season. There is a hiking trail and the staff offers different experience such as bike and traditional lunches. The Road tomget up to the BNB is a bit sketchy at night, and the breakfast could have been a bit more varied.
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional - What a experience, this property is beautiful, you do really feel like you are in a castle. they had no chef at the time, but we talked to some people who stayed there before and they had wine tasting and dinner there before, so make sure you do their wine tasting, they produce their own wine, we had some in the room. wish they offer dinner.
- Helena (8/5): Very good -
- Joshua (9/5): Our stay at la Torre was charming. We particularly enjoyed the local products and kindness of the staff. Beautiful place - Exceptional environment : the place is beautiful, with a lot of nature around so very quiet. The staff is really friendly. We had a nice dinner and a great breakfast, with local products (olive oil, wine, marmelade and bread made directly in the farm). The room and the bathroom, located in the beautiful building, are simple and not really modern, so not that welcoming.

- Jeanette (10/5): Perfekt! - Perfekt sted, perfekt betjening, skønt værelse - fantastisk vinsmagning
- Ang (10/5): - We like to original unplastered walls in the bedroom. The electrical switches were also originally and we were amazed by them.
It’s nice to walk in the gardens and the vineyards around the farmhouse.

Tullio Marcelli . Colazione adeguata in ambienti pieni di fascino e storia... consigliato.
- Raymond (10/5): Outstanding - This estate is spectacular!!! Francesca who was the young lady who checked us in was delightfull. The setting is outstanding. The owner Sri is wonderful and so friendly and accommodating. All the oils and wine served is from the estate. The products can also be purchased. The pool is great to relax and enjoy the scenery. This is to get away from the crowds in the major cities and to drink in the Italian way of life. Truly a gift. Breakfast was super all homemade and anything you'd like. Would definitely go back. The furnishings were so authentic and has been in the family for years.
- Linda (10/5): - Helt underbart ställe mitt i Toscana
