Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The sets of stairs to enter the property are quite steep and narrow tred making it difficult to lift luggage up stairs. Once inside there is an elevator.
- Saurav (8/5): Comfortable Stay - Great if you're just looking for a place to stay. Nothing fancy, but has everything you need. Comes with towels and shampoo which is very helpful. We had two people in the bed and two people on the sofa bed. Everything was nice and comfortable. Overall, a great place if you're looking for somewhere fairly close to the city centre.
- Justin (2/5): - Terrible. Would not recommend. Partying neighbours all night and the Amberley team would do nothing to help because the apartments they rent out are not their official property.
- Marcos (8/5): Would recommmend - It was strange that the room we reserved was not in the reception building, but overall would definitely stay again. Room was large, centrally located and clean.
- Anthony (8/5): A nice place to stay in Dublin - The apartment was quiet, clean and well furnished with a well equipped kitchen. We had some issues with getting the water to work in the shower and also with the hot water supply. We kept the maintenance guy busy. Also there was a missing TV remote which was never resolved. Otherwise, a nice place to stay in the Dublin town center.
- Trudi (8/5): Comfortable apartment, close to city centre. - Arrived after 9pm and was given a friendly welcome. Apartment right by air bus stop so not far to take cases. Apartment was warm and welcoming with plenty of tea and coffee available. Water in fridge was a nice touch. Had issue with kettle on the morning but it was sorted as soon as we reported it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Great location, close to everything, but quiet street. Ideal for us. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, shortly after our arrival a family moved into the room above us and were so loud that we had to go out for a few hours. At 11.30 at night there was still so much noise (sounded like they were dropping bowling balls!) that I phoned reception. The staff member was both apologetic and decisive and told me he was giving them one last warning ( which made me think someone else had already complained). After that things quieted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good apartment - but not where you think it is - The apartment itself was fine, however after getting to Amberley house we were taken 10 minutes across the road into an apartment block where our room was situated, so this wasn't made entirely clear to us on booking.
Apartment was spacious and clean though.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never ever again - Very uncomfortable stay the beds you feel the spring in your back. Nothing like the picture very deceiving and the shower full of mould. You have to check in away from the apartment and parking is a bit far. Don’t recommend it at all.
- Joella (6/5): The apartment was a nice size. - Due to the storm our flight was cancelled and we could not stay at our hotel for an extra night so we chose this for somewhere cheap for a night. The actual apartment was a nice size, but not really knowing the city I don’t think I would of chosen that area if it did, not to sound snobby but I’d rather pay the extra and stay in a hotel if I wasn’t doing it as a quick we need a place.
The staff were welcoming and pleasant, even though check in was at 4 we got there just after 12 and it was ready for us. We couldn’t work out the ear plugs at first( we didn’t use them but could understand why they was there)
- Craig (6/5): Great location close to city centre - We stayed at one of the apartments. The room was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. There was a lot of noise from neighboring doors and stairs within the block through out the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central apartment, good enough for business travel - Central location, a bit noisy (street). Apartment was clean and spacious. Not very luxurious, but that wasn't our motivation. Check in time only after 4pm. Free fast Wifi. Will use it again for business travel (2 people), great value for money.
- Lauren (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay, on two separate nights, in this apartment. It worked well for our family of four for our short time in Dublin and the location was wonderful for seeing the city on foot.
- aimen (10/5): Nice and close - It's amazing in the heart of city centre friendly staff , thanks
- Mark (8/5): Nice apartment, 10 minutes from city cetre - The apartment was clean and tidy. It did the job as a base for visiting Dublin City centre. Shower wasn't great, more of a trickle of water. Staff very polite and helpful.
- Siobhan (8/5): Perfect apartments, close to everything :) - Wonderful receptionist at the Amberley guesthouse. He made us feel really welcome :)Would definitely stay again.
- Firdaus (8/5): Convinient - Apartment was nice and located at the heart of Dublin City. Service was friendly and helpful. There were so many tourists here because there are so many guest houses and hostels nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Bright and spacious well-located apartment - Very nice apartment, well equipped. Excellent service from Hotel staff (apartments are in a building 2 min walk north of Amberey Hotel)
- jeff (8/5): great value for money - i night as it was cheaper then any hotel rooms in dublin city
great location luas / bus station / oconnel stree all within 10 mins walk - inner city area that is not the most upmarket but for locationa nd value for money you could not beat it.very clean very roomy great wifif
a word for the managers/owners - when I arrived your receptionist was TOTALLY over worked with check ins departures calls and a problem in one of the apts with tv.....he was EXCELLENT really friendly guuy from croatia but terribly over stretched..it may be worth condsidering having some sort or porter ar general help to walk people to the apts as they are about 5 mins walk from reception which this chap had to close to take me to my apt.
I didnt mind waiting as I could see he was under pressure but some other people may not be as accommodation and the chap did an excellent job keeping everyine happy.
- Jose (6/5): Conveniently located apartment. - We were in an apartment directly above the two access doors. They banged shut at all hours, loud enough to wake you up. The hotel staff were really sorry and gave us complimentary breakfasts every day to compensate. They said it will be resolved. It was room 47. The mattresses were foam and too soft and the sofa rock hard however, everything else was clean, with fresh, modern decor and roomy for the 2 of us.The receptionist, Bevan, was so helpful and genuinely welcoming.
